What do you like best about Sequoia One?

The hands on support from their staff. The staff is the best. Have never had an awful experience so common in today's vendor management landscape. They truly prioritize customer service. What do you dislike about Sequoia One?

I wish it integrated with more tech. As a tech company ourselves in Web3 there's a lot of integrations needed for smooth operations internally and unfortunately without those we have to look at other products that can integrate purely for efficiency sake due to limited resources. What do you like best about Sequoia One?

The customer service from our dedicated team is top notch. Whenever there is a problem I don't ever have to worry that someone is taking it seriously and looking to resolve the issue. There have been multiple times where a certain offering or feature from Sequoia was less than desirable so I email (or call) Michael with my frustrations -- he always keeps these concerns in the back of his head and makes sure to do anything or everything he can to find a solution. Monisa has gotten plenty of frantic emails where I missed some deadline or had a crisis I needed help with and I always feel like she waves her magic wand and makes everything better. Just knowing I have her on my team gives me such peace. Shan in payroll has gone above and beyond multiple times for us and always seems to be on top of everything. So the service/people who work at Sequoia are really their greatest feature. The admin.sequoia.com site is modern, has a lot of details & resources available which makes it easy and helpful. Open Enrollment is generally a fairly painless process. It was better this year because they corrected something that was confusing last year around the HSA enrollment. What do you dislike about Sequoia One?

Having both the sequoia site and the prism site is cumbersome and the employees will get confused when they are trying to complete something that can only be done in prism but have to navigate through the other site to get there. The limited insurance provider options are a bummer. Not allowing employees to manage their specific investments vs having to use default funds. We don't love the optional life insurance offering as it's too expensive to be worth offering as a benefit. The workers compensation provider has been horrible the two times I have ever needed to use them. The Sequoia team has been amazing in getting involved and trying to improve the experience, but please for all that is good in the world find a different vendor. Over the years I have seen the service get more "corporate", for example: the advocate line is no longer a dedicated human who knows our team intimately and I have to verify my existence before I can get help. I understand the need and scaleability issues but I still don't like it and quite honestly it makes me want to avoid calling them for help. I also feel like Sequoia used to be able to help more with tax set up and other tediously awful tasks but as the years have passed more seems to be required of the client. I know this is something I have expressed to Michael... but would love this to make a u-turn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sequoia One?

Sequoia One has an exceptional team, and every interaction I’ve had reflects how engaged and supportive the employees are. I truly appreciate the quality of service and the positive approach everyone brings.

One area I’ve found more challenging is the recent change in the support model. When I first joined Sequoia One, we had a dedicated CXM/Platform Success Manager, which allowed for a consistent 1:1 relationship and the ability to build rapport. Having a single point of contact who was familiar with our history and prior situations was extremely helpful, both in resolving issues quickly and in preventing recurring challenges.

With the shift to the pooled support model, I’ve noticed the loss of that continuity. While the team is still wonderful to work with, I do miss the benefit of having someone who already understands our context without needing to re-explain past events.

I’m sharing this simply as feedback from my experience, as the dedicated model offered significant value from a relationship and efficiency standpoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sequoia One?

I find Sequoia One easy to use for the most part, particularly with its services related to medical, dental, vision, mental health, and financial planning. These comprehensive benefits are highly valuable to me, allowing for efficient management and peace of mind regarding my and my team's well-being. Additionally, I am grateful for the dedication and support of team members like LaRee and John, and other Sequoia One team members, who have been wonderful to work with and have made a significant positive impact on my experience. What do you dislike about Sequoia One?

As the Admin, I find Sequoia One to be more challenging due to its limitations in payroll services. It is problematic because Sequoia One lacks the capability to run regular and bonus payroll simultaneously, forcing a manual process that increases the risk of errors when adjusting 401k contribution amounts for different payroll cycles. Additionally, Sequoia One does not integrate with Charles Schwab as a 401k administrator, requiring us to engage a third-party vendor to manage the 401k uploads and contributions, which is only a temporary solution and not ideal for us as a wealth management firm. This limits our flexibility with investment options that we aim to offer, and it's not currently supported through Sequoia One's partner, Empower. This aspect of the service needs improvement. Also, it seems a bit inefficient with the way things are set up reviewing PTO and confirming 401K contributions are correct each payroll. When changes are made and it's communicated to Sequoia, these should be "correct" without having to double-check them each pay period. This may be because of the reg vs. bonus manual changes, but it just seems like a very inefficient process (more time-intensive than preferred). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sequoia One?

There's not a ton that I like about them. Our current rep is great and nice and knowledgeable and I really like her, but I just find the breath of their services. The products are way behind times the use of data for the HRIS is just not good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
