**What do you like best about Sequence?**

Sequence’s intuitive dashboard and the level of support provided by the Sequence team have been the standouts for us. The dashboard’s gives us comprehensive visibility over our products and prices, and lets us easily manage pricing adjustments. The proactive and responsive engagement from the Sequence team, from our initial evaluation to ongoing support, has been exceptional. Their dedication to understanding our unique needs and customizing their solutions accordingly has been a key differentiator.

**What do you dislike about Sequence?**

While we have been happy with the product so far, there are a couple of areas where we’d like to see more features coming into the product, especially around usage data management and reporting in the dashboard. That being said, based on the team velocity and product roadmap we have observed, we expect to see these very soon in the coming months.

**What problems is Sequence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sequence provided a robust and flexible framework for implementing our usage-based pricing models, allowing us to move past custom scripts and dedicated data pipelines to calculate usage-based charges. Sequence is able to handle the full complexity and scale of Ravelin’s usage data, spanning a wide array of products and APIs, generating tens of millions of events every day. Pricing configuration is both intuitive and flexible in Sequence, which allowed us to easily capture all sorts of unique pricing arrangements. Overall Sequence should improve both the accuracy and the efficiency of our billing operations.

**What do you like best about Sequence?**

The integrations with HubSpot and Xero were game-changers for us as it removed the need for us to dig through emails for contract terms after each new deal signed. The workflow from CRM to accounting has simplified our deal-to-cash process and we now feel like we're in a much better place to scale our collections over the coming years.

**What do you dislike about Sequence?**

Really, the only issue we've had was a small bug during setup, which Sequence fixed incredibly fast. Their quick and effective support showed us how reliable they are, especially as we were aligning our billing schedules with all of the custom deals we had to migrate.

**What problems is Sequence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sequence has turned our messy process of getting from contracts to cash into a smooth operation, removing all of manual tracking and invoicing errors that we were facing beforehand due to our pace of growth. It's made our workflow much more efficient, saving us time and a ton of ongoing headaches.

**What do you like best about Sequence?**

Native integrations with Hubspot and Xero have saved us a ton of time trying to manage data and workflows across our sales to finance stack. Also the hands on onboarding approach was very helpful and allowed for a quick implementation in <2 weeks.

**What do you dislike about Sequence?**

Nothing particular that comes to mind. However, looking forward to the revrec launch.

**What problems is Sequence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can now run our entire billing process with 1 person, and have full confidence that we're accurately invoicing without any errors. This is really important given that we have some high value customers and can't afford to have billing mistakes

What I appreciate most about Sequence is their remarkable collaboration from the very beginning. Their product and technical teams are truly commendable, demonstrating swift responsiveness and a profound grasp of customer requirements and industry nuances. Engaging with Sequence at the early stages of its product development, we've witnessed its impressive growth, often aligning with and even anticipating our needs, steering in the right direction to meet and exceed our expectations.

Our time with Sequence has mostly been great, though we hit a few snags with some unusual situations that weren't quite covered at first. But the team at Sequence has been fantastic at joining forces with us and keeping us in the loop about what they're working on, which really helped sort things out. Now that they've made some tweaks, things are running smoother.

Sequence streamlined our complex and not usual billing process, making it more efficient and straightforward.

**What do you like best about Sequence?**

The ease of setup and the platform's intuitive user interface stand out as significant advantages. Our team was able to deploy Sequence's comprehensive solution in just a few weeks. The great UI and straightforward pricing mapping tools make it a favorite among our operators, who find the system both powerful and easy to use. Additionally, Sequence's capabilities in generating attractive pricing proposals, seamless digital payment flows, and a user-friendly customer portal have markedly improved our customer interactions and experiences.

**What do you dislike about Sequence?**

Nothing comes to mind right now! The product is working well for us and there are lots of additional configurations under the hood available to us as we scale further.

**What problems is Sequence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sequence has been instrumental for us in implementing an efficient, end-to-end quote-to-revenue workflow. With its robust automated billing and invoicing capabilities, we've managed to streamline our contracting, billing and invoicing process. This automation allows us to handle any contractual edge cases effortlessly, thereby enhancing our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through timely and accurate billing.

**What do you like best about Sequence?**

The integrations with Hubspot and Xero work extremely well. Once we sign a deal in Hubspot, the customer, products and prices are already ready to go in Sequence. We no longer have to search through PDFs and email threads to dig out the contract terms. Invoicing through Sequence saves our accounting team hours every month. The platform is also extremely intuitive. Everything works just how you think it would, which is more than I can say for much of the SaaS in our techstack. 

Lastly, their customer support during onboarding was phenomental. It was not uncommon to have three of their team members on the call to support us, capture our feature requests, etc. Just really kind folks delivering a stellar tool. Doesn't get better than that.

**What do you dislike about Sequence?**

Once Sequence has commissioning functionality in place, that will be a game changer.

**What problems is Sequence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sequence has streamlined the workflow from our contract signature in Hubspot to our revenue reconciliation in Xero. Their integrated dashboard has automated the painful sales to finance workflow,  mitigated the possibility of invoicing errors, saving the finance department hours every month, and most importantly offered a scalable solution to our finance functions.

**What do you like best about Sequence?**

What stands out for us with Sequence is its incredible flexibility and adaptability. It’s been great to see how well it fits into our complex billing structures. Sequence has proven to be highly customizable and user-friendly, which is key for us at the rate we're growing. Additionally, they're quickly releasing new components to the platform, namely the CPQ module which enables us to build a robust quote to invoice process all on one intuitive platform.

**What do you dislike about Sequence?**

We would have liked CPQ to be live when we went live originally, but appreciate there is a large surface area to be covered with that product and we're excited to put it into play over the coming weeks.

**What problems is Sequence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sequence has really simplified our billing and invoicing process at Isometric. As a two-sided marketplace, Sequence needed to address our specific need for handling complex transactions across multiple levels of customer interactions. By automating these processes, Sequence has reduced manual workload, allowing our operations team to focus more on onboarding customers. We also appreciate how easily we can deploy new pricing models in the future without breaking our billing system.

**What do you like best about Sequence?**

We have an incredibly complex billing structure, and our previous attempts to master it have left us with an extremely manual process that is error prone and not scalable. Sequence allows us to streamline billing in a scalable way, to future-proof our process. Current time saving is around 2 days, meaning we can complete billing on the first day of the month and get invoices into the hands of our clients in a timely manner.

I also can't speak highly enough about the Sequence team. As a startup themselves, they are super receptive to feedback and have been on hand to tackle issues as they crop up. From giving us advice on how to use the system, to implementing report exports for our internal use, they have been incredibly responsive whenever we've had issues.

**What do you dislike about Sequence?**

During our initial integration, we had some challenges with edge-case pricing on our end and how to reflect those in Sequence. The product lead and engineers on their end were very hands on tackling these issues (including a visit in person to our office to chat through challenges), and came up with a solution in time for us to go live.

Now that we are using it live, there are a few other issues we have fedback to the team:

-No implementation with Netsuite yet. This is in progress but currently means our revenue recongition is still manual and we need to download a report out of Sequence on a customer by customer basis in order to ensure our AR account and revenue accounts are correct in Netsuite
-The reports needed to tackle this challenge don't exist in Sequence. They have been proactive in providing us with reports we can use in the interim, but they still require a bit of manual manipulation to make them useful. We see this as a temporary issue while the integration is being worked on.
-Not a particularly useful credit control facility. Sequence has the ability to raise credit notes, but no ability to apply those to invoices. Also, without the Netsuite integration, we have to manually mark invoices as paid in Sequence when we receive payment and mark them as paid in Netsuite, so that the two systems agree. Again a temporary issue until NS integration is solved.
-Can't control the comms that go out to customers - you aren't able to edit the email wording for the invoice email that is sent to customers, though we see this as fairly minor

Even with the current workarounds we need to do in advance of the Netsuite integration, we are still making a time saving of around 1.5 days for billing to reporting.

**What problems is Sequence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous billing system was heavily reliant on spreadsheets and manually raising invoices per customer. For some of our customers who have bespoke pricing, this caused us a major headache as we had to keep a spreadsheet log of "exceptions" and consequently had labourious review processes to try and catch any manual errors.

Sequence, in allowing us to feed all of our bespoke billing structures into their system, which means we can run one cycle that covers all of our bills. This is especially important for us as we scale and sign customers with increasingly complex billing agreements.

**What do you like best about Sequence?**

The invoicing engine is extremely powerful, we didn’t think any off the shelf tool would be able to model our hierarchical billing relationships in addition to our custom, usage-based pricing. Sequence has delivered big time there. The team made our implementation extremely smooth and the product has been loved by both our engineering and commercial users.

**What do you dislike about Sequence?**

We had to wait a few weeks for one of the specific parent child relationships to be supported, but the Sequence product and engineering team were extremely helpful in working with us on the best way to model our use case, and we had a working solution in time for our go-live date.

**What problems is Sequence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have quite complicated parent child / sub account billing relationships with our partners who we sell to on behalf of several hundred end users. On top of our transaction-based pricing model, this creates significant billing and invoicing complexity which Sequence has been able to fully support and automate. We were skeptical that any 3rd party tool could manage this to be honest.
