"Fast to set up, and quoting is easy to use"
5/5
What do you like best about Sequence?

The quoting flow is clean. Templates plus a pricing module make building a quote quick, and it handles the pricing shapes we use: phased ramps, discounts, and tiered usage where it's free up to a threshold and then per-unit. E-signature is built in, so the order form and contract go out as one envelope instead of routing through a separate signing tool. The Sequence team set up our product catalogue and ran a live enablement session for the team, so we were up and quoting without a heavy lift on our side, and the UI is intuitive enough that new reps don't need much hand-holding. What do you dislike about Sequence?

Honestly nothing, maybe that I spent so long looking for a good provider before I landed on Sequence! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Usage-based billing that scales with us"
5/5
What do you like best about Sequence?

I run our billing monthly, and Sequence handles pricing that would be a headache anywhere else. We bill order fees for a large book of customers, with complexities such as where tiers are set by one metric and the charge is calculated on another. The team have built custom metrics with us so each invoice calculates exactly how we need it. A signed quote turns straight into a billing schedule, our UK and US entities run side by side, Stripe payments reconcile back on their own, and our customers have a portal to check their usage and invoices. Support is a big part of it. I drop a question in our Slack channel and usually get an answer the same day, and a few bits of feedback I've given have shipped within days. What do you dislike about Sequence?

Not much, everything I've raised has been picked up quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quote-to-cash in one place, with tax handled natively"
5/5
What do you like best about Sequence?

We run quoting and billing from Sequence instead of stitching together a CRM, a document tool, and a spreadsheet. Reps build quotes from templates and model the pricing we actually use, including ramps and discounts as phases and tiered usage pricing that is free up to a threshold and then charges a per-unit rate. The signed quote then becomes the billing schedule rather than something we re-key, and the order form and contract go out for signature as a single envelope. Sales tax is also handled via native integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sequence?

It takes some time to setup your product catalogue and active contracts on Sequence, but their team handled most of that heavy lifting for us and kept things moving. Once it is in, the rest runs smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One CPQ (and syncs with Salesforce)"
5/5
What do you like best about Sequence?

I'm on the commercial side at Kapa and I primarily use Sequence's CPQ module. I can build a quote, brand it, attach our MSA and send it for signature all from one place. Once it's signed it turns straight into the billing schedule, so nothing gets re-keyed between the deal closing and billing starting. Quotes tie back to the Salesforce opportunity, so my pipeline and the contract stay in sync. Before this we were merging order forms and the MSA in Adobe and chasing signatures in DocuSign, which fell apart every time a customer came back with redlines. The team also ships what we ask for. Getting our attachments to travel with the quote PDF was my biggest gripe and they built it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sequence?

Nothing major. They take feedback on board and act on it fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One place for everything we need in billing."
5/5
What do you like best about Sequence?

The thing that’s stood out the most for us is how much of our quote-to-cash process is now in one place. Our pricing is usage-based and fairly involved, but Sequence handles it without us having to develop a bunch of workarounds. Building quotes using the CPQ module is intuitive, e-signature is built-in, and once a deal gets signed the billing schedules and invoices follow on naturally. It’s a smooth process from quote to payment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sequence?

Nothing big. There are edge cases that can require help, but the support team is responsive and the issues we’ve raised have tended to show up on the roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Moved off Stripe Billing and stopped rebuilding invoices from scratch"
5/5
What do you like best about Sequence?

I run finance at AiPrise, and we price identity and compliance checks on usage, with a minimum commitment and volume tiers that vary by customer. On Stripe Billing I was working that out by hand every month. Sequence models that in billing schedules, so usage events come in through the API and the invoice builds itself. A signed quote turns into the billing schedule, and sent invoices sync across to Rillet so I'm not re-keying anything into our accounting system. Stripe stays as our payment processor for collection and HubSpot holds the customer side, so it fits into the stack we already run. The team also listens to feature requests and acts quickly: we asked for PO numbers on sent invoices and bulk actions on drafts, and both have since shipped. They've been a real partner on how we price too. A lot of our customers commit to spend upfront and draw it down over the year, and the team has worked through that model with us directly and is building deeper native support for. What do you dislike about Sequence?

Not much, whenever issues come up they're quick to resolve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Sequence Automates Invoicing Smoothly with Accurate Billing and Fast Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Sequence?

I handle all of our day to day invoicing and billing, and Sequence has helped automate this process entirely. Setting up schedules for co-termed agreements is now much more simple, and invoices are always generated timely and accurately. One thing that I like is that I can add a PO number or attach a PDF before I send (or even update non-numeric fields on sent invoices, such as the customer billing address). It's great that we have both QuickBooks and HubSpot connectors feeding into Sequence, so that our payments, invoices, and customer records can all stay in sync. Whenever I have a question, the team gets back to me very quickly as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sequence?

There was a bit of a learning curve at the start, especially with figuring out how schedules worked. Once it was set up though, it's been very smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"We redesigned our whole CPQ and Quote to Cash process around Sequence"
5/5
What do you like best about Sequence?

We were invoicing out of a few different tools with a manual process running in parallel, and Sequence consolidated all of it into one place while letting us keep Stripe for payment processing. The product is genuinely easy to use, which matters when non-finance folks need to find an invoice or understand a customer's billing setup. But my favorite part is their incredible support. The response time is amazing and any time I have a question I'm immediately routed to the right person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sequence?

Nothing major. When we've raised things the team has been quick to respond and usually has a fix or workaround the same day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Billing automation that scales with usage-heavy contracts"
5/5
What do you like best about Sequence?

We run a mix of fixed fees and pass-through usage charges from vendors like Plaid and Alloy, which made invoicing a recurring headache. Sequence consolidates everything into a single invoice per customer, fixed and usage-based billing in one place, which removed a whole category of manual reconciliation work. The API lets our engineers push usage data directly so nothing falls through the gaps, and billing schedules give us flexibility on how charges are structured without needing to touch anything month to month. What do you dislike about Sequence?

Nothing really . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Sequence Handles Complex Pricing with Fast Support and Smooth Xero Sync"
5/5
What do you like best about Sequence?

I run our finance function and we've been on Sequence for a few years now, so we've seen the product come a long way. Our pricing changes with almost every new client - with various caps on per client, graduated tiers, and committed fees drawn down by monetary value at a different rate for each data source, with any overage billed in arrears. Sequence is the only billing tool we found that could model all of that. Invoices sync into Xero, revenue recognition journals are generated for us each month. When we bring them a new client model they work through it with us before it goes live, and anything we raise in Slack gets picked up quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sequence?

The Sequence team are proactive and the shipping velocity is very fast, so we've had few problems which the product roadmap hasn't resolved / the team hasn't found a workaround in the meantime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
