I recently started my position and had never heard of Netchex. As I played around in the system, I found it fairly easy to navigate. I loved the webinars presented in the series over the summer as they provided great information on current and upcoming features. The webinars were clear and concise and provided detailed information and tools to learn and use the feature in Netchex. **What do you dislike about Netchex?** I am still new at this HRI,S so I do not have any downsides to mention to date. I do have a suggestion though; add the termination date to the employee ribbon in the profile so that you don't have to look for it. **What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?** One of the problems that I would have had was recording and keeping track of Intermittent FMLA (IFMLA) dates. It just so happened while attending one of the webinars, they discussed the new FMLA module that was coming out and if you wanted to be included in the Beta testing to sign up. It was active about two weeks into one of my employees gaining approval for IFMLA and it has saved me so much time and eliminated the frustration that accompanies tracking IFMLA dates. There are other benefits such as the new reporting feature and Recruit (I have not set that up yet) that I am happy with and looking forward to use, but the new FMLA feature is my favorite so far. If I had to give a grade it would be an A+. ### 2. Very intuitive to use. **What do you dislike about Netchex?** I have no dislikes about Netchex. For those of us that are hourly employees. The screen for starting shift, starting lunch, ending lunch and end of day; As the day progresses, omit the buttons already used for the day. For example; once you START your day, don't show the START day anymore. At least gray it out and/or ensure a user doesn't accidentaly click on it again if they have already started their day. Same for START lunch. Once you use the START lunch, ensure it cannot accidently click on it again. Why? You can only start lunch once in a day, so don't show it anymore. This elminates mispunches from accidently clicking on the wrong button. **What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?** As an hourly worker, Netchex provides me a clean and updated record of my punches for the week in real-time. The accessibility for help is fantastic, either by phone or utilizing the chat feature. I like that I was able to create onboarding templates to streamline the new hire process. Love that funds are withdrawn from my bank account same day I receive my FedEx settlement payments, putting less pressure on the finances weekly. **What do you dislike about Netchex?** There are so many tools within Netchex that I am sure I am not leveraging everything. I also wish there was a more pronounced notification for approvals needed, specifically PTO requests. **What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?** Payroll submission ease, financial strain - the withdrawal of funds same day as FedEx settlement deposit allows me not to worry that we don't have enough to cover payroll. ### 4. It's incredible how everything is all in one place, like payroll, HR, reporting, I9, policies, and documents that can be e-signed. They even handle quarterly taxes. The support team is fantastic, especially my own rep, and it's great that they actually listen to their clients. They've been making constant improvements since 2021 based on our feedback. The new features they add definitely make my work life easier. Our employees appreciate being able to access everything from their phones. The time clock geofencing is a neat feature too, ensuring that employees can't clock in from unauthorized locations. The communication during setup was exceptional, and I still remember Gabby from the team who was so helpful. I genuinely rave about Netchex almost daily. **What do you dislike about Netchex?** Their AI chat. It's learning, and AI is the future. Beforehand, we hopped between payroll software, spreadsheets and separate file storage, which ate up multiple hours weekly. Employees handle payslip downloads, PTO submissions and benefit updates via the self-service module independently, slashing repetitive trivial tickets that used to clog my inbox. I also value the native audit logging for every personnel document edit, and their support team replies quickly when payroll processing hiccups pop up, taking a lot of pressure off ahead of audit cycles. **What do you dislike about Netchex?** This platform is clearly built around US employment standards with zero native configuration sets for GDPR, Arbeitszeitgesetz or Betriebsverfassungsgesetz. Every workflow from onboarding to payroll calculations needs manual rework to align with German rules. Connecting it to our European talent management tool isn’t supported natively, so we rely on error-prone CSV exports and imports to sync candidate and staff data. There wasn't any outline or roadmap of what to expect, and the contact seemed stuck to a script. It was really frustrating because I was clear from the start that this was our firm's first experience with an HRIS, and still, we received no heads up on what was needed or what to expect. We were often told what we needed in a rushed manner, without time to prepare. Even though I asked what else was needed for payroll onboarding, we weren't given any information. Plus, the emails end up getting filtered because they come from Salesforce instead of a person's email. I have no idea what to expect next. The links in their emails don't work, and it said our account wasn't active; that was hours ago, and I've got no help or anyone to call. We're supposed to integrate with other systems like our 401k provider and Employee Navigator, but it's not clear who is supposed to lead that. So far, it's been a terrible setup experience, and I wouldn't recommend it. **What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?** I find Netchex is supposed to house everything we need like payroll and 401k, but onboarding was a major challenge without clear guidance. Support is lacking, and I struggle with integration issues and communication problems. ### 9. You are rarely on hold for very long, if at all. And they never make me feel dumb when I present a simple or repeat question. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate. I used Netchex at a previous employer and was a fan and now am using it again a few years later and am pleased with all their enhancements and improvements. Building your own reports is quick and easy. With other payroll providers building reports is complicated and clunky. Netchex, along with being the best option for my current employer, was also the most affordable. **What do you dislike about Netchex?** We had trouble getting our taxes set up properly from the beginning. We had been with the same payroll provider for years so we didn't know how specific to be during implementation. We had to call back several times and submit various tickets to get things set up correctly in the first year, but we got there. **What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tracking our various PTO plans with our previous payroll provider was horribly complicated. You had to jump through several hoops and employees didn't always know their up to date balance. Netchex has made all of this so much easier. As our staff make up changes (in terms of hours and what PTO they are eligible for) along with new laws continue to roll out in our state, the ability to build our PTO plans to accommodate our staff within Netchex is so appreciated. When we have a new plan to add and I call Netchex with my potential plan of attacks, if there is a better or easier way to do something, they will let me know and walk me through the process. ### 14. It makes moving from one area to another on the site simple. When I need help finding something, the navigation help steps you through it, which is super helpful. I also appreciate the help and communication from the Netchex team during setup and switchover; it was very seamless. **What do you dislike about Netchex?** The accrual/attendance should be easier for employees to understand. There are options being seen by the employees to choose as a day off like 'vacation' or 'personal' when we don't use that; we only use 'PTO' and 'Unpaid time.' I also think that their fillable forms need to be updated, it is very unprofessional looking. **What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?** Netchex allows me to handle timekeeping, payroll, onboarding, and netbenefits all in one place seamlessly, saving me time. Recent expansion of service hours to serve my time zone. **What do you dislike about Netchex?** Challenges with the accuracy of state tax reporting. Finger-pointing between Netchex and Dealertrack when there are integration issues, which leaves us stuck trying to resolve the issues on our own. **What problems is Netchex solving and how is that benefiting you?** Recent improvements include allowing employees to request timecard adjustments within their timecard for managers to approve, improving compliance and saving time. Working on programming that will allow us to determine which employees may use the app vs a computer to clock in and out using the app, which will help us better manage employee time and overtime.
