It integrates with our payroll system, Netchex. It also is great for getting car deals adjusted in accounting.

The security features could be improved to allow more customized user roles.

We are able to pull our commission schedule into Netchex instead of having to manually enter every commission into payroll.

I believe the platform could be a bit more user-friendly, as I find its overall design somewhat dated and restrictive.

System lag, or occasional downtime, which can disrupt workflow.

**What do you like best about Dealertrack DMS?**

Dealertrack is very resourceful and easy to use. The interface is straightforward after training. The Information we can access is crucial for business operations. As a service, this is a quick and easy tool to access inquiries and set up transactions through the DMV. Highly useful.

**What do you dislike about Dealertrack DMS?**

Installing an "agent" on our local devices was a little tricky. It's not too intuitive during the set-up process. But this is unavoidable, and once the agent is set up, it's pretty easy if it is necessary.

**What problems is Dealertrack DMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dealer track is allowing us to run inquiries on vehicles and licenses. This tool gives us quick access to information from the DMV. We use this daily, and it's an efficient program that does the job well.

I love how easy Dealtertrack makes it to integrate their software with banks that we use for financing. It is also very easy to submit applications to our lenders, as well as check the status of our applications.

**What do you dislike about Dealertrack DMS?**

There is nothing I dislike about Dealertrack, even after using it for 11+ years.

**What problems is Dealertrack DMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dealertrack makes it so much easier to send applications to banks and credit unions then handwriting them and sending them over by fax like we had to do in the past.

The security is getting ridiculous. It takes too long to recover your profile.

It has made it easy to use in multiple dealerships that we work in,  and I can also see other locations' information for researching customers.

**What do you like best about Dealertrack DMS?**

What I like best is the ease of use for new users; it's easily accessible and can be taught to people that are new to the industry very easily. I also like that while DealerTrack has updated the interface, they have allowed long-time users to keep using key commands that we used in the Arkona version of the DMS.

**What do you dislike about Dealertrack DMS?**

Some areas could still use improvements and have been brought up on the DMS 360 site and left unresolved. Some of those things would be bank reconciliation, ACH payments in payables, and limiting users on what accounts they can post purchase orders to.

**What problems is Dealertrack DMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do not have any current problems that Dealertrack is working on solving. Typically if I do, I open an case on DMS 360 with uploaded examples and Dealertrack is quick to respond.

It is easy to log in and find the information you need for the most part. It's also secure and provides a supplement to CRM and any information we may have in there about our customers.

The user interface is not the most intuitive, but it's better than most of their peers in the same field.

We are able to have a place to securely send finance applications that our customers submit. It's a vital thing for our dealerships and their DMS is another place we can search and store customer information.

CHANGING A DMS IS NOT EASY, BUT AFTER A MONTH OR SO OUR TEAM WAS PRETTY COMFORTABLE WITH DEALERTRACK.

WE COULD PAY TO UPGRADE OUR REPORTS, BUT THE BASIC REPORTS AND REPORT BUILDER WORK JUST FINE FOR WHAT WE NEED.

Switching between dealership accounts, we have multiple franchises.

**What do you like best about Dealertrack DMS?**

I am a reseller of a software that needed to connect (thorough API) to Dealertrack and the support received from them was outstanding.  To many companies today are closed off for direct integration, not them.  The ongoing support (or no need for) is very refreshing with integration.

**What do you dislike about Dealertrack DMS?**

From my observation of the clients usage, not a real lot.   I did hear a few times that the software was a little "heavy", meaning to much to get from one function to another.  The only other things I had heard were very positive.

We solver data integration from a 3RD party package to eliminate double key strokes and import.

My favorite feature is that you can use the F keys to toggle between functions. It makes processing invoices and working car deals go by much quicker than having to use the mouse.

**What do you dislike about Dealertrack DMS?**

When some system updates are performed I notice that they take away certain features/functions that I use frequently. Usually their answer is "you have to use a work around".

It makes the Accounts Payable side of the business run very smoothly.

I like that it digitally stores all the information I need for a deal. Easy to find what bank a customer financed with which I can't do with CDK unless I go through all of the scanned paperwork for the deal. It's a little bit faster than CDK Drive.

I can't see the actual paperwork for the deal I'm accessing. I can't access anything if my internet goes out.

Make backup copies of things you need to be able to access if your internet goes out.

Keeps track of the financing banks a lot better than cdk.

Using DealerTrack compared to our previous DMS is a night and day difference. Way easier to use!

Creating advanced reports is tricky but the team helps me better understand! They are very quick and friendly.

The reporting makes a huge impact in our sales meetings. The team is really helpful with creating advanced reports and core reports are pretty easy to create ourselves. Very useful!

It needs a facelift!  More modernized and such.  It seems to be a little archaic in terms of looks and such, but that actually might be a positive thing

Deffinentely would recommend to those in the auto industry that need organization and useful features.

It is relatively easy to submit an application. And many of the features are very helpful like payoffs and Lender searches

to be honest, I liked the old interface better. The new one is a pain to fill out and there are too many unavailable features unless you want to pay extra. contacting lenders and getting updated call backs takes a while for transmission

Real time updates are not really prevalent with this system but it is efficient to use

I like the ease of function.   Finding a customer or vendor is easy.  Adding a customer is just as easy.

**What do you dislike about Dealertrack DMS?**

It feels like it times out and takes forever to get back into the system.  When I have someone on the phone they don't care that the system timed out for security features they just want their update.  I also dislike that two people cannot be in the ticket at the same time.

What I like about dealertrack is that it’s easy to navigate. Also, the customer service is phneonemal. They are always helpful. The software is easy to manage and it keeps everything organized very well. You don’t need to memorize codes because there is a drop down menu for you to use! It’s so easy! 

**What do you dislike about Dealertrack DMS?**

Sometimes it takes a while to get to where you want to go. You have to click on various things to  get to where you want which can be annoying at times.

OPDealertrack allows us to submit applications to lenders with ease.

Dealertrack DMS makes clocking in and out for the day a cinch! I would recommend this over any traditional time card attendance mechanism.

I have nothing negative to report about Dealertrack DMS.

Would be nice if you didn't have to input a pin every time you need to log attendance; would be simpler if the device would remember your credentials.

I'm still learning new ways to use it, but I really enjoy being able to use keyboard shortcuts within the system.

It has been crashing with no reason lately for me. Our IT team is unable to fix, so I will need to contact the DealerTrack team.

Currently just noting car deals and viewing statuses of deals based on notes or other information input.

On the parts side of things it's relatively simple to place an order, bill out parts or write a purchase order. .

The only cumbersome thing is when you have to pull up old invoices or reprint something. Menus and functions are assigned random number combinations and without knowing the secret number, it's hard to perform the easiest of tasks

Make small tasks more intuitive

The efficiency of filling out parts is super important in a fast paced parts environment. It helps to have software that doesn't hinder you from those tasks.

the program is dummy proof. literally the easier program ive ever used at a dealership. even if you cant memorize the codes to use it gives you a drop down list of what options you have. when i have issues the dms support is spot on! they are always nice and super helpful!

there is nothing i dislike about dealertrack. it is great!

the program is super easy to use. if you have ever used CDK at a dealership then this super easy even if youve never used dealertrack before

I like that it is easy to edit a deal structure without having to resubmit an application.  I also like that a complete VIN is not needed as long as one knows that invoice or wholesale value of the vehicle being submitted.

Shortcut keys, (F1-12) I like having a favorite option and the ability to change the icons if needed.

Constant spinning. loading and being kick off dms for being inactive for 30 plus min.

You can’t beat the fact that this company is on the cusp of automotive technology. Reynolds and CDK are dinosaurs compared to Dealertrack. The ease of use and integration. I also have had phenomenal support from their dealer performance staff and general support. 

**What do you dislike about Dealertrack DMS?**

I wish the space you see your screen on the service and parts side were a bit bigger. I’m sure it has to do with different screen sizes but I think it could expand out further if that makes sense

**What problems is Dealertrack DMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profitability has increased due to the efficiency increase. Less steps to accomplish things and less screens to go in and out of. Don’t miss that at all

It allows you to create menus of options very easily

Sometimes dealertrack isn't super user friendly

We use dealer track for the creation of menus of options. Using menu selling helps us compete against dealerships that use step selling

Dealertrack is easy to navigate and use. 

**What do you dislike about Dealertrack DMS?**

I feel like there are so many clicks in getting to where you want to be. My work uses it for attendance and many more aspects but just to log in and out as an employee is like jumping through many clicks.

**What problems is Dealertrack DMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not sure what all my company uses Dealertrack for but each employee does clock in and out through the DMS in Dealertrack. It gets the job done but not very smoothly or efficiently.

Having to change companies for certain areas

I would absolutely recommend DealerTrack to any Automotive company, as it is user friendly, and allows for many different areas of the automotive industry to be used

DeaerTrack easily allows for monetary issues to be solved in a more proficient manner

I love how easy the system is to navigate.

It can be a hassle when calling for help.

Calling can take a long time since I am almost always put on hold for about 20 minutes every time I call. Besides that, I feel this system is great for getting everything I need to done.

Dealertrack supports many areas of need for the automotive business. Contracting, credit reporting, compliance, menu presentation, contract submission, and much more.

The system doesn't have many problems, but when it crashes, it takes quite a while to load again.

Give it a shot...everything integrates to make it a 1 stop shop!

The full spectrum with automotive financing is used within Dealertrack. You can do it all with one software!

Easy to use even for a beginner who is not familiar with DMV

Some down time due to maintenance or IT issues

Limited effectiveness versus CDK and Reynolds for mulit store/enterprise solutions for consolidatied reporting.
