**What do you like best about DataGuard?**

Since the beginning of the collaboration with DataGuard, the product landscape has continuously evolved. Each individual step has solved a specific problem that we had at that time – or that we didn't even know would also affect us.

**What do you dislike about DataGuard?**

My only real criticism does not go beyond occasional, non-serious bugs in the platform and is therefore overall negligible.

**What problems is DataGuard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DataGuard provides us with a central platform to systematically work through the policies and standards that we have set as benchmarks or that have been set as goals by higher authorities. This eliminates vague planning and the associated uncertainty. Instead, we can focus on the actual implementation and achieve these goals more quickly.

**What do you like best about DataGuard?**

We use DataGuard for both data protection support (including DPO support) and information security. Particularly positive is the combination of personal consultation and the structured portal.

The platform helps us to manage data protection and ISMS topics clearly, track measures, and document evidence centrally. Especially with regard to audits and regulatory requirements, DataGuard offers very good support in everyday life.

We are very satisfied with the data protection support – the collaboration is professional, practical, and reliable.

**What do you dislike about DataGuard?**

In some areas, the user interface could be more intuitive, especially when delving deeper into individual topics or modules. The level of detail in some content could also be further developed depending on the use case.

Additionally, using the portal initially requires some familiarization to fully understand the structure and connections. However, this becomes less of an issue with increased usage.

**What problems is DataGuard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A central challenge for us is to implement data protection and information security requirements in a structured manner and to be able to demonstrate auditability at any time. This particularly includes the management of risks, measures, documentation, and regulatory requirements.

DataGuard helps us to consolidate these topics on a central platform and to systematically address them. Through the clear structure and the combination of tool and consulting, we can efficiently implement requirements, transparently track progress, and provide reliable evidence for audits and internal reviews at any time.

This saves us time in day-to-day operations, increases transparency, and significantly reduces the risk of compliance gaps.

**What do you like best about DataGuard?**

I find DataGuard super easy to work with, which is really important to me. Their platform made it really easy for us to get all of our documentation in line for ISO 27001 certification. I also really appreciate how DataGuard consolidates all of our data, evidence, proofs, and documentation in one spot in a uniform fashion. The initial setup was pretty easy, especially since we did single sign-on, which made it really easy.

There was nothing we could do say negatively about that platform, it worked perfectly for our company.

DataGuard makes it really easy to get all our documentation in line for ISO 27001 certification, consolidating evidence, proofs, and documentation in one spot in a uniform fashion.

Have Dataguard act as external DPO, has allowed us to move fast (always very responsive) while not compromising on quality.

Nothing comes to mind at the moment. Maybe one small item: their training sessions could be more customizable (for example, have different tiers of courses for different teams).

**What do you like best about DataGuard?**

I like that DataGuard provides DPO services which assist with ad hoc advice, reviewing our documentation, providing points of improvement, and audits. I appreciate the data policy templates they offer. I also value the flexibility with no limit on the time they spend with us and their ability to assist using different methods like email or Teams calls. Having weekly catch-ups with our DPO and by always being available via email is great because it means we can rely on quick responses in our fast-paced business.

**What do you dislike about DataGuard?**

Nothing that I dislike. However, during difficult tasks like ROPA, perhaps more time in understanding what each question would be useful. Perhaps a mini training session on what a ROPA is, the purpose, and what information gathering needs to be done before the ROPA.

DataGuard assists in updating policies, identifying gaps in documentation, giving ad hoc advice, providing audits, and templates. We rely on quick responses in a fast-paced business.

DataGuard convinces us on multiple levels. The clearly structured, user-friendly dashboard quickly provides us with a good overview of relevant topics and noticeably eases our daily routine.

I also appreciate the professional competence of the contacts. They respond reliably and promptly, while also bringing a deep understanding of our data protection issues.

that we didn't find them much earlier.

A major advantage is the high level of legal certainty: We continuously receive up-to-date assessments of legal changes as well as clear, practical recommendations for action, so that we remain compliant at all times. In addition, the structured documentation ensures that examinations, audits, and internal coordination run significantly more efficiently, transparently, and overall more smoothly.

The comprehensive range of services – from taking over all data protection issues to creating individual policies and continuously monitoring legal changes – is accompanied proactively, transparently, and professionally. Overall, I find the collaboration to be well-organized, reliable, and clearly structured.

some of the functions could be linked better. eg when im linking a document in the framework section to a policy I have to open 2 tabs.  There should also be a prompt to save any work before shutting down the page or an auto save function with a history option

Every specialist I’ve worked with from Dataguard has been highly professional, each bringing a unique consulting style and perspective. My recent internal audit with Daniel Buss was a great example. From the very beginning, Dan guided us through the entire process from audit planning to the final report with professionalism and clarity.

What stood out to me was his pragmatic approach, grounded in real-world examples and use cases. I especially appreciated how he turned each discussion into a learning opportunity. He has a talent for making the process engaging and approachable, creating an environment where you gain valuable insights while enjoying the experience.

The audit not only delivered important findings but also left us with new knowledge and perspectives.

So far, I’ve been very satisfied with Dataguard’s services, both the product itself and the supporting consulting.

Dataguard is our main partner in supporting both ISO 27001 certification and the TISAX label. We use their platform to drive key parts of our ISMS, including employee security training through the Academy, security policy management, and the frameworks module with guided implementation paths. In addition, we rely on their consulting and internal audit services. We began working with Dataguard a couple of years ago and successfully moved from zero to certified in a short timeframe.

I really appreciate the competent consultants provided by DataGuard, as their expertise helps ensure that our ISMS procedures are already well-drafted and only need to be adjusted for the specific context of my company, which saves a considerable amount of time. The high availability of DataGuard is a significant advantage because it means I can rely on the service without worrying about unexpected downtimes. Furthermore, the good training platform offered by DataGuard serves as a one-stop shop for all of my company's training needs, streamlining our processes and making it easier to stay compliant with essential certifications like ISO 27001. The initial setup of DataGuard was very easy, which facilitated a smooth transition to adopting the software in our operations.

The training platform lacks depth in its content, making it easy for candidates to pass tests without fully engaging with the training material. This makes the experience less challenging. Instead of immediately providing the correct answer upon an error, it should indicate the mistake first and only offer additional guidance on a subsequent incorrect attempt.

**What do you like best about DataGuard?**

I appreciate the extensive support from DataGuard, especially in the areas of data protection and ISO 27001 support, as well as in internal audit processes. The training videos and the templates for ISO are extremely helpful and contribute significantly to the efficiency of our compliance management processes. Particularly noteworthy is our IS 27001 consultant Stephan Trenker, who makes a great contribution with his expertise and support. Additionally, the initial setup process with DataGuard was very simple, which made the transition and implementation seamless. This, combined with its useful features, makes it very likely that I would easily recommend DataGuard with the highest rating of 10.

**What do you dislike about DataGuard?**

In the DataGuard portal, I see great potential, but the current UI is not yet optimal for me. I would like a more intuitive navigation and a sleeker design.

**What do you like best about DataGuard?**

What I particularly appreciate about DataGuard is that the platform makes training videos directly available. I don't have to organize them separately. Everything is included in one package, which makes the processes very efficient. In addition, there are practical templates and samples for ISO and data protection. I can use these directly, which significantly eases and standardizes my workflows. Another important point is access to great experts. Here, I would especially like to highlight our ISO-27001 consultant Stephan Trenker positively. He is highly specialized and experienced. This allows me, as a small company, to tackle challenges that would be much more difficult for us alone.

**What do you dislike about DataGuard?**

The platform is not state of the art and is somewhat difficult to use. It is not user-friendly enough, which could be improved.

I use DataGuard for infosec and data protection, benefit from experienced experts, and find ready-to-use templates in a package for ISO and data protection policies.

The experts are quickly accessible and offer solutions promptly. The approach is straightforward and unbureaucratic. Overall, it is a well-thought-out system that enables the digital implementation of various management systems and standards like TISAX. Particularly noteworthy is the option to release guidelines and documents digitally. Additionally, we greatly appreciate the continuous and professional support from our direct contact at Dataguard. This way, we always maintain an overview and can work efficiently.

**What do you dislike about DataGuard?**

A small note: Due to the continuous and agile development of the platform, changes in the system occur relatively frequently, which means that one has to constantly reorient themselves. For the future, it would be desirable if the academy were available not only in German and English but also in other languages. Since we have several locations in Eastern Europe, it is difficult to conduct the training through the portal exclusively in German or English there. For this reason, we are forced to resort to another IT training portal. An integration of Entra ID would also be very helpful, as users could then log in easily and transparently via SSO.

**What do you like best about DataGuard?**

What I find most helpful are the meetings with our consultant, Patrick Riha. Being able to schedule a meeting whenever I have questions or encounter problems, and then receive valuable advice, is extremely important to me. I also appreciate the policy templates, as they save time and make it unnecessary to create everything from the ground up.

**What do you dislike about DataGuard?**

Since I took over the certification project from a colleague who is no longer available, I have no insight into how the onboarding process was handled initially. Personally, I have found it quite challenging—and at times, I still do—to anticipate the complexity of the process and estimate how long each step in the pathway will take. The expectation that certification can be achieved in three months has created the impression among our management that it is a straightforward and easily attainable goal. I am constantly working to counter this perception and to help stakeholders understand that the process is far more complex and not merely a minor IT issue.

Dataguard offers a wealth of information, but I sometimes find myself overwhelmed by the variety of sources. Occasionally, the content in the knowledge center does not align with what is presented in the policy templates or the webinars, which can be confusing.

**What problems is DataGuard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small company without the resources to hire a dedicated information security expert. Some of our customers require us to obtain ISO 27001 certification. The employees handling this certification are doing so in addition to their regular duties, so it is crucial for us to make the process as efficient and time-saving as possible. Since none of us have previous experience with this, it is especially important that dataguard helps us save the time and resources we would otherwise need to spend on research.

**What do you like best about DataGuard?**

The initial set up was easy. Using the DataGuard platform I was guided through the initial audit. In a reasonable time we produced the data processing directory , a first draft for the TOMs and checked DPAs. In my regular sessions with our account manager Onur Turhan we clarify open topics quickly. Onur is doing a great job, provides guidance, templates and so on and already demonstrated that he can quickly understand our specific use cases and requirements.

**What do you dislike about DataGuard?**

The platforms usability could be improved and having the data processing directory splitted by areas in PDF files is not the perfect approach (but still good enough to find everything and to work with it).

**What problems is DataGuard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Set up of a data protection management system for the company as well as for the products we are building. DataGuard provides the knowledge (especially working with your account manager, Onur Turhan in our case) and they provide guidance using their platform for any topic that refers to data privacy.

To me, the main value I got out of DataGuard was in the professional services and access to a data protection lawyer whom could ease my way into the role of DPO and becoming acquainted with data protection legislation.

As for the platform, it was good to have a central platform where everything data protection is supposed to go, with workflows around updating the documentation of processing activities, letting the organization take courses and fill in assessments, as well as a place to document incidents.

The platform can be a bit hard to navigate, especially when it comes to how it all fits together.
