**What do you like best about Confluence?**

One best thing about the Confluence is the versioning of the doucmentation so everything is track and nothing is lost. EVerything is centralised, easy to collaborate by commenting and mentioning the team member. The best part is, it integrates with Jira. It also has the permission control over the content.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Working or formatting the tables is really hard and also confusing. Also the pages can be long sometimes.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Writing the technical documents especially the API cycle and project related knowledge base where all the team members can contribute. We also use it to document the SOPs and other techinal protocol to be followed by the team, that basically acts a contitution of the work process.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I use Confluence for creating and managing knowledge bases and hosting team spaces. I really appreciate that it solves the problem of scattered, unstructured, and hard-to-maintain work information by providing a central, collaborative, secure, and searchable documentation hub. I love how Confluence turns team knowledge into an asset, which saves miscommunication in the team. The templates are great because they remove the thinking overhead so you don't have to start from scratch for SOPs, meeting notes, or project plans. I find the page versioning feature quite useful as it gives you a safety net, and the inbuilt macros are fantastic as they turn simple pages into powerful tools and make it seem like we're working on web pages. The integration with Jira is very helpful for finding knowledge nuggets in the same place, and it links work to all the documentation available for reference, making the information centralized and making the documentation intelligent. The initial setup of Confluence for my team was also very easy.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

I think sometimes formatting for tables is glitchy and alignment breaks when you paste content. Big pages become slow, and the search can be good but not perfect. Copying and pasting from emails breaks the formatting, and it works great online but offline it doesn't.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence solves the problem of scattered, unstructured info by providing a central, collaborative hub. It turns knowledge into an asset, reducing miscommunication. I also find the templates, page versioning, macros, and Jira integration make documentation intelligent and easy to manage.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

As we belong from a service industry and conducting regular meetings and documenting it is one of our daily activities to run our business flawlessly. Confluence helps us in collaborative discussions and it also helps in reading and writing company's personal documents and data by all team leaders so that proper decisions can be taken for our business.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

One of the main limitation of Confluence is that it's pages cannot be designed or customised like MS word or notion because of its rigidity and fixed templates also if the team leaders does not maintain of it's pages properly then data and information becomes messy and quite difficult to understand.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software helps us in streamlining and solving all the daily challenges related to our business and it also helps our teams to get align for working with different projects so that overall workflow of our business does not break and these all things are handled by a small IT which reduces the maximum digital expenses of our company.

I love how easily Confluence integrates with JIRA, ensuring continuity and fluidity of ideas within the same ecosystem. Template management is vital for our workflow, allowing us to create processes and standards with reusable templates. The ability to share pages publicly is crucial, especially with clients, as we can adjust documents and they see the changes immediately. The export to PDF function is phenomenal, as we can apply CSS and share information with our company's branding. Additionally, I appreciate the excellent user experience that Confluence offers and its constant updates, which ensure that we are always using a modern and efficient platform.

I would like the tables on Confluence pages to allow Excel-type formulas.

I like that Confluence is very easy to use, allowing me to set it up as simply as signing up. I appreciate the easiness, collaboration, and formatting features. I find the formatting options, like tables, font styles, and coloring, quite appealing and helpful. Additionally, the ability to write about any topic with AI assistance is incredibly useful.

I use Confluence both for my full-time job and personal projects. I like that I can create a great documentation structure, and the pages are easy to edit. The macro options are plentiful, so I can make my documents more readable and better looking. It's easy to create and edit nice looking, easily understandable documentations which are much quicker to understand. I rate it a 10 because it's also free until 10 users, which is great for personal projects.

The information is easy to access and can be tracked. Most of the time, when I open one article, it naturally leads me to other follow-up or related articles.

It allows you to incorporate other applications as well and makes working with other team members seemless regardless or timezone or work location.

I wasn’t able to find a tutorial that really helped me understand the application. I ended up learning how to use it mostly through trial and error.

What I like best is that it's the single source of truth for everything. We used to have docs scattered in Google Drive, SharePoint, and random folders. Now, if I need a policy, a meeting note, or a project spec, I know it's in Confluence, and the search actually works. It just makes finding info easy.

The editor is infuriating sometimes. I spend way too much time wrestling with the formatting, especially if I'm trying to copy-paste anything. It feels clunky and slow compared to a simple doc editor.

The main problem it solves is information being scattered everywhere. We used to have things in shared drives, emails, and random personal folders—a total mess. Confluence puts it all in one spot that's actually searchable. The benefit is huge: I don't waste an hour every week hunting for a document and I can trust that the process or policy I found is the most current one.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Best wiki editing experience I have ever used. Database tables for when you need fully structured data, Page Properties and the neat page properties report when you need just a bit of metadata. Absolutely insane number of add-ons available. The drag drop in the tree view navigation in particular blows my mind with just how good it is - it is the gold standard blueprint for how to do drag drop. It's the little touches like that that make Confluence delightful to use.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Sometimes you need an add-on for the "but it's so obvious!" features, like a list of dropdown options when editing a page, or showing incoming links.

As with any documentation system, content can get stale. I've not yet found the magic technique to keep the content updated yet.

Central searchable spot for documentation and decision logs, with edit histories, deep links and strong collaboration tools like inline comments and live edits

From my perspective, Confluence’s main purpose is to solve knowledge chaos by giving us a single source of truth, so we stop hunting for info in emails and chats. It's also brilliant at connecting our strategic plans (the "why") directly to the team's work in Jira, which creates real alignment. The templates are a massive efficiency win, getting everyone on the same page for things like meeting notes or project plans. Plus, the new AI features are incredibly helpful for quickly summarizing long pages, turning all that information into actual answers.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence is a great wiki-style site and has good flexibility. It's easy to learn and format nicely and has good content features such as image and video, attachments, blogs, and so on. The swish integration with Jira is a powerful point, allowing dynamic links, reports, and charts to be created based on your connected Jira issues, allowing these to be condensed to a wider audience. It serves us well as the company's intranet.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Add-ons are quite often required to extend the base functionality (which can be limited in some respects), and can be very expensive - especially when you combine (a) minimum user tierings and (b) the fact that add-ons must be purchased at the same tier as Confluence, and cannot be restricted to a smaller userbase. For the Data Centre version, constant vulnerability patches are required which can take a lot of time with testing and deployment.

Alignment of disparate processes that never had a unified home. Now teams across the business - including front, middle, and back office - have an ideal place to store, edit, and share project statuses, meeting minutes, process guides and diagrams, and any other required documentation.

There are just enough text formatting options to keep things organized and easy to read, without being overwhelming. The ability to structure pages by sites and folders helps with organization as well. The live collaboration also works quite well.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Performance can be a bit slow at times, pages taking a bit of time to load. The database functionality is a powerful way of capturing information, however it's still a bit rough around the edges when it comes to usability.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps our information in one place that is easy to query. It allows us to share information across teams and throughout the entire company in a unified way. It's a wiki, so not really revolutionary, however it's very easy to use and does a great job at keeping our company information in one place for knowledge sharing. Storing information across multiple documents on a shared drive does not help with productivity as it takes a lot of time to find what you actually need to work, or requires you to ask colleagues for help in finding documentation. Confluence solves these issues in a rather simple and effective way.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

This is one of the best documentation tools I have used. Sharing documents is very straightforward, and searching for content is also simple and efficient. Its integration with Jira makes the combination extremely effective for our needs. The guest license feature is particularly useful, as it enables me to add external users and share only the spaces that are relevant to them. I also find the new Rovo feature to be excellent.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

The calendar really ought to be included as a standard feature, but unfortunately, it's only offered in the more expensive packages. Additionally, it would be much better if there were an option to assign third-party apps to particular groups rather than making them available to every user.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Confluence to store all the technical documentation for our applications. It has also proven helpful for recording user acceptance test cases, since cloning pages and running tests multiple times is straightforward. Additionally, we keep records of application managers and their substitutes, making it easier for everyone to know the right contact person, especially given the large number of applications we manage.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence is an extremely easy-to-use Wiki-style collaboration tool that integrates seamlessly with Jira.  Most of our daily Jira users end up accessing Confluence on a regular basis as a way of continuing collaboration beyond the specific work items in Jira. The biggest drawbacks to Confluence are the requirement for a viewer to be an Atlassian license holder (limiting the scope of basic "view" rights to those with expensive licenses assigned) and the need for sometimes costly add-on applications in order to get some of the best features and functions out of the tool.

The biggest problem that Confluence solves for our organization is the coming-together of development (IT) teams and business (end-user) teams, to collaborate on the outcomes of specific requests or needs. I use Confluence to archive and read the documentation of projects we're carrying out. It centralizes all the information, allowing everyone to be aware of what is being done and how. I really like how information is organized, making any document traceable through its metadata, title, or content. For example, once I needed to create a driver for Google Chat, and one of my partners had created something similar for Google Drive. I didn’t have to search for all the information about Google integration from scratch. I just needed to look at his file, and I already had an idea of what I needed to do. Also, the initial setup was really easy; I didn't spend more than 15 minutes on it. Confluence is a great files and document host.

I find the writing process in Confluence could be faster. Creating a block of text for each section sometimes makes creating a file with code or information other than text slow. The tool is easy to implement, and we use it daily for documentation, reference, and obtaining approvals. Its integration with intelligent AI agents also allows us to quickly find documents and get answers as needed.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Since we work with thousands of pages, searching by keywords often produces a lot of irrelevant results. The software also offers only basic advanced formatting options, which can be limiting. Additionally, creating complex tables and writing intricate mathematical equations is quite challenging.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit for me is how easy it is to add and organize all our project details and documents in one central location. This is particularly valuable since we work closely with clients. We can create detailed pages that cover every functional and technical aspect of a project. Sharing project files, such as mockups or requirement documents for client approval, is then simple and efficient. In my QA role, Confluence is indispensable because it allows me to organize test strategies, plans, and cases with ease. I can set up a dedicated QA section to outline the entire testing lifecycle. We also document important meeting notes and key points, making it easy to refer back to them later. The integration with Jira enables us to link issues like bugs, stories, and epics effortlessly. Product owners can access our QA reports in Confluence, complete with embedded links to all relevant bugs and stories. Intelligent AI agents further help us save time by assisting with repetitive tasks, such as searching documents using keywords.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I like that Confluence is easily accessible and allows me to create pages with ease. There are so many templates available which I can choose from based on what I need. Using the blank template, I can customize it to add whatever details I want and create a well-phrased document with links that I can share across pages. It provides an easy way to create and manage project documents related to architecture, working, and details that can be shared across the platform. I appreciate that Confluence is centralized and allows everyone from the team and business side to access it easily. We use the web UI version, and I've found the initial setup to be straightforward once the space is created. We can log in with the organization's credentials and share our thoughts in the required format pages.
