**What do you like best about Keela?**

Keela is very intuitive and easy to use. I like having all of our solutions in one system. The customer support is phenomenal. Initial setup was extremely easy and tech support was available whenever I had questions. Keela integrates well with our Quickbooks online account. I like the integration with Raisely for managing campaigns and events.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

I have no complaints about Keela. There are a few features that I would like to see implemented, but I think that the support team is working on most of them at this time.

**What problems is Keela solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Keela as a CRM for our nonprofit. It manages donor care, fundraising, campaigns, email marketing, donation forms, automated responses, and reports. It's intuitive, easy to use, and has all our solutions in one system.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

I appreciate Keela as a one-stop platform that integrates with other software we use, allowing us to streamline internal processes and keep track of all interactions with constituents in real time. I like the ability to automate workflows and manage all our interactions in one place. It's a much more powerful and comprehensive tool than the platform we used to have. Using Keela reduces friction and makes our work more efficient by allowing us to know exactly what a specific client has done historically without needing to ask other team members, which saves time. The initial setup was great because we received excellent support during the migration.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

Producing reports can be a bit tricky at times. Requires some training and it has been difficult to schedule our staff training sessions because the product expert has been too busy with other clients.

Keela integrates with other software, streamlining our processes and tracking interactions in real time, saving time and improving efficiency.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

I like that Keela allows us to have all of our donor information, receipts, and more in one easy-to-use platform. The automation features save us a lot of time by handling tasks that used to be manually intensive, like issuing tax receipts. The Knowledge Base is super helpful, offering answers to most of my questions without much digging, and the step-by-step videos are appreciated. The support team is very responsive and provides clear instructions, making us feel well supported and valued as customers. The initial setup was very easy, especially with Oliver Snell's help in importing our data.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

When I'm looking at a long list of data, like recent transactions, I'd like the option to see the whole list instead of having to click through multiple pages.

**What problems is Keela solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keela moved our donor tracking from Google Sheets, making it more efficient. It simplified tax receipts, which used to be manual. Keela automates tasks, saving time.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

I love that Keela is super easy to use. It's definitely the thing I like most about it compared to basically any other CRM out there. Other CRMs can be old, outdated, or slow, making them hard to use and set up. But with Keela, having a system that is easy to set up, quick to train on, and super smooth from a customer perspective makes things so much easier. I also appreciate the efficiency it brings with integrated email and donor management, allowing me to filter contacts and create segments that automatically update. This makes sending emails to thank donors, reach out to lapsed donors, and create different campaigns super great. Additionally, the SMS integration and reporting save so much time. The initial setup was super easy, just connect Stripe, your email domain, and load your contacts. They have lots of templates ready to go, making creating forms super easy using their form builder.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

Some of the automations could be improved to be a little bit more complex with additional steps or actions. The Zapier integration is fairly limited at the moment, with potential for more triggers and outputs.

I use Keela for donation and donor management, email and SMS communications, segmenting, and reporting, which saves time and ensures smooth operations.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

It's built with nonprofits in mind and designed in a way that anyone can use and understand its features easily. What I like most is that you don't need to have a technical background to work in Keela. Their user-friendly interface and clear design make the experience natural and flawless. And if there's something you don't know, you can always refer to their Knowledge Base, which is extensive or the customer support, which works quickly and efficiently. As a person who used to work with different CRM tools before, I have something to compare with. To date, Keela is definitely on my list as one of the most nonprofit-friendly tools.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

What I dislike so far is that when building email marketing content, there are no options to preview how it will look on a mobile, tablet or any other device, except for a computer screen. This accessibility feature is highly important, especially given that most donors read such emails on their cell phones.

**What problems is Keela solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keela helps to manage a donor database, communication and reporting. I like the feature that provides hints on which donor we should approach, based on the donation history. It saves our small nonprofit lots of time, since all important information is kept on one platform, which is easy to access and track.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

I really value having a CRM built specifically for nonprofits. Before Keela, our donor and contact information was scattered across multiple places. Now, everything—contact details, donation history, volunteer hours, and email interactions—is centralized and easy to access. Pulling reports or creating segmented contact lists takes just a few clicks.

When we were researching CRM systems, we needed something that could centralize all our data, handle fundraising and email marketing, offer automation tools, and still be affordable for a small nonprofit. Keela checked all those boxes.

Getting started was straightforward, and importing our data was smooth. The platform offers excellent value for the price, and the customer service is outstanding—every time I’ve reached out, the Keela team has been prompt, friendly, and genuinely helpful.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

At times, we’ve encountered small limitations in the flexibility of certain features. The email design tools work well but aren’t as advanced or customizable as those in dedicated email marketing platforms. Similarly, the integration options are solid but not as extensive as what larger CRM systems offer.

That said, the Keela team is very proactive about improving the platform—they consistently roll out updates, enhancements, and new features based on user feedback, which makes a big difference.

Keela has helped our team become more organized and efficient. Instead of searching for information across multiple platforms, everything we need is stored in one easily accessible place.

It’s also helping us be more strategic in our fundraising. With just a few clicks, we can generate reports and view data from specific months or campaigns, allowing us to make more informed decisions.

Most importantly, Keela helps us better serve our donors. By having a complete view of each relationship, we can communicate with the right people at the right time—making our outreach more personal and effective.

The thing I really like most about Keela is the donor profile where I can see on top the donor score, their total donation and how easy it is to navigate to donor information.

The only thing I don't like much is not having live chat support but only email.

A business process problem Keela has been working on is the contacts tab summary where it prioritizes the main information at first hand and I don't have to disclose all the information.

Keela allows us to hold all of our donees information in one place, track all their donations, and send receipts quickly and simply. It also allows us to pull reports, sort our donation platforms and causes, and track donation income by project.

There is a bit of a learning curve in pulling reports with the information I want. Need to have some computer language savvy

**What problems is Keela solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It cut down our donation A/R processing time significantly, minimizes lost donor data across various platforms by keeping it all in one place. It also gave us a huge time savings in processing year end donation receipting. Best move ever!

I like Keela's user-friendly dashboard, which makes navigation easy. I also appreciate its integrations with many other applications. Being able to run event management via Eventbrite and have those attendees automatically added to Keela has been really helpful. The initial setup was very seamless, and I really appreciated the several walkthroughs and all the pre-recorded video content.

Integration with Google Workspace, specifically being able to automate interactions with contacts in my Gmail

Keela helps us keep track of our engagements and see which contacts attend our events. Its easy-to-navigate dashboard and integration with Eventbrite, which automatically adds attendees, are particularly valuable.

I am new to donor stewardship and fundraising. As a newbie in this role, Keela is easy to navigate, segment donors, and keep track of my nonprofit in one place. Plus it has easy integration with Aplos.

I don't dislike anything. Keela has many resources available to learn by yourself and troubleshoot. I love all the resources they provide and I am excited to take the Keela U courses.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

Keela has a lot of automations that make life as a small non-profit easy but also professional. The integrated email and form tools are easy to use and look great. Generally, it is a user-friendly interface for both employee and donor/subscriber. Customer support is quick to answer your inquiries. Keela also integrates with many other systems, and its partnership with Raisely is especially beneficial for campaign fundraising.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

As someone who works with Keela daily and uses it both for communication purposes and data administration, Keela has some work to do when it comes to working with the data. It is not easy to keep data clean, especially with email subscription and donation forms entering straight into the system with no approval system in place, you end up with a lot of duplicate records and messy data as donors/subscribers are entering their information directly. There is no easy clean up tool so you do a lot of the work manually. I believe Keela also has a way to go on querying on, importing and exporting data. I find it difficult to receive all the information you may desire. What I will say is that I do believe Keela is actively working on improving these processes.

Keela was our organization's first official database and it has in many ways improved our processes and ease of donor management. Its automated processes make communicating with our donors and clients very easy and professional. Data management is a big step up from spreadsheets.

Really good CRM for tracking donations and event sales.  Very flexible and easy to learn .

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

At the time, not as many integrations as we needed, but we could get around it with a third-party program like Zapier.

Bringing all our donor information into an organized system - no more spreadsheets!  We can easily see donor history and patterns of behaviour and we know the system is up to date.

I really like the integration of donor management with emails and newsletters capabilities in Keela as it helps in reducing MailChimp subscription costs. I also appreciate the support from Keela's backend team, which was very helpful during the initial setup.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

Keela allows our small non-profit to easily maintain relationships with our volunteers, donors, and partners. We recently migrated our newsletter communications to Keela and love the feature so far. Additionally, we love creating forms through Keela to easily track important contact information.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

Keela does not allow us to send email confirmations after a form is submitted which is unfortunate. There is a way to work around it through automations, but this is out of our budget at the moment. Another negative about Keela is it is difficult to move around blocks on the email content designer.

**What problems is Keela solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keela allows us to have contacts, donations, volunteer hours, email communications, and more all in one place. Prior to using Keela, we were managing several different spreadsheets which was difficult to keep track of. Additionally, Keela notifies us each time somebody completes a form which makes it easier to keep track of.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

We have been using Keela for over six months and have been VERY happy with the complete experience. The software is easy to use and provides our small operation with all of the tools and information that we require.  I have been especially pleased with the Support crew. We have had very few issues implementing and using the software, however, when we have had a problem, the support has been quick and VERY clear on the solution.

We have yet to find the limits of Keela and what it can do for us, so no real problems here.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

Keela has enabled me to accomplish the goal of taking better care of the donors for my organization.  We came to Keela from spreadsheets.  The list of limitations we were experiencing was endless, as was the manual work. With Keela, we have automated so much that it gives me time in my work day to build out strategies to build the donor relationship and to develop new strategies to capture new donors.  Our salesperson answered the laundry list of questions he was presented and ultimately won our business.  Also, the support team is excellent.  If Keela doesn't have a built in solution for the exact question I've raised, most of the time, there is a quick work around to accomplish the same goals! The Knowledge Base is an invaluable resource.  I was able to fully implement Keela on my own and saved my organization the additional cost of hiring Keela to do it. It is a tool that I interact with every single day in my capacity.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

Even though we have been using Keela for almost a year, I'm still learning so much about it. I wish it was possible to send the gift acknowledgement letter separate from the gift receipt. It would be nice to have those arrive a couple days apart from each other as another touch point with the donor.  I also wish the household function was more functional.  For example, when one person's address is updated in the household, there would be a prompt to verify if everyone in the household should have their address updated.  Some of the Knowledge Base links no longer work and some of the instructions seem to be out of date to the current software, but overall, if you have a question, the Knowledge Base has the answers. It would be helpful if Keela had the capacity to work with our previous payment processor to integrate the monthly donor information over to Keela's payment processor.  We also were looking for a CRM that had a donor portal.  Keela does not.  Maybe that is a future endeavor along with an app. No major disappointments at this point.

**What problems is Keela solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keela is enabling me to communicate directly with  our donors.  It keeps track of all of those interactions within the donor's profile.  I no longer have to search for the donor's email in my inbox.  Keela maintains our monthly campaign goals and progress.  Keela has enabled me to create online volunteer forms and other registration forms.  Our organization's public facing image has been upgraded because of Keela.  More donors are signing up to become monthly donors because of the opt in technology.  I am able to view a donor's profile and give them an up to date an accurate picture of their giving.  This builds trust with the donor and enables them to feel confident that their resources are being used wisely.

The integreatted forms and communications feature has been my faviourte part of keela so far. In our previous setup we would be boucing between mailchimp, eventbrite and google forms, but now all of that has been collected in one place making it easy to use on a daily basis. It is also a huge benefit that we can add multiple team members to keela, this allows us to give employess access to only what they need to manage.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

So far we have had problems with the lack of integrations with softwares other than stripe. Although the online integration of stripe is usefull we are still required to upload payments made of debit machines (Clover) and e-transfers. If Keela were to offer integration with stripe terminals this would make things much smoother for smaller organizations which operate on less man power.

**What problems is Keela solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keela has been a life saver when it comes to promoting events through its integrated forms and communication system. This allows us to send out emails and collect responses/donations/purchases all in one place. In terms of donor outreach, Keela has helped us gauge the level of contribution from each donor on a better level, making it easier for the donor outreach when it comes to fundraising.

The easy nature of being able to create forms and email marketing tailored to our different intiatives, within 5-10 minutes and have it ready to go.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

Not having an option on the revunue forms to keep stock. Sizing an image that on donation/ revenue forms is a major hassle. Even after you have fitted an image to the form via desktop, it is either cut off or nonexistent on the mobile version. I would also like to be able to have a column that shows you exaclty what form someone donated to in the "Recent Transactions" of the dashboard.

Giving us a platform to house donor information, easily communicate with them and share successes of the organzation. Being able to create shareable forms to social media that allow us to collection donations/ responses from a broader audience as well as capture their information for future communications. -  seeing quick fundraising information such as progress towards quarterly and annual donation goals 
- The dashboard allowing you to quickly see the KPIs youre tracking
- memberships 
- communications feature similar to mailchimp 
- the ability to attach document when inputting grants 
- The support team always responds to my emails quickly 
- The campaigns page letting you track progress towards goal
- The projects feature that lets you track all the tasks associated with major projects and get reminders
- Keela is really easy to use

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

There are a few fixes I would love to see.
- Adding the option to add the estimated value to in-kind donation receipts
- Allowing us the option for all memberships toautomatically renew mothly for 1 year, instead of "expiring" each month unless they check the button that says "always renew" on the form. The point of a membership is that it renews each month. 
-An updated membership page where you can see all active members, expired members, and membership revenue 
- It would be nice to have more volunteer features
- More formatting options for reports. I dont neccesarrily need graphs and pie charts, just all the data in one place.

Keela makes it easier to create reports, log donor, grant, event and volunteer infomration. It provides insights and tracking to help us fundriase and manage the finances of our organization.

I think that the best feature on their platform is the “nonprofit intelligence” which helps us understand who the donor is, how much to ask, how they prefer to be contacted, and the optimal time to make an ask. I haven’t seen this feature on other CRM platforms, which makes me appreciate how Keela strives to understand their local Vancouver-based customers.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

The newsletter feature doesn't have mobile optimization so it really is a challenge to lay it out nicely. It also doesn't have much or direct data on the performance of a newsletter like click-through rate and unsubscribe rate  (it will still have to be computed manually).

It's not clunky like Salesforce and is easy to set up

Keela is a fantastic CRM. It is very intuitive, but the best part is the customer service. They always go above and beyond to help with any issues I experience and if my organization needs something from our CRM that isn't currently available in Keela, they come up with a fantastic workaround and they take that need back to the team. Keela is amazing, it has saved me HOURS. I recommend it to anyone and everyone,

I have exactly two issues with Keela. 1. There isn't a ticketing feature, and 2. you can't modify Memberships to be a donation transaction. That's it. I love everything else about Keela and they have come up with a great workaround for #2. As to #1, they have an integration with Eventbrite which is great, but Eventbrite is out of our price range. Having a ticketing feature would make running our fundraising events seamless. If I only have two issues, I think that means Keela is a pretty great CRM.

Keela has made donor management a breeze. It has cut the time I spend on EOY activities in half. It makes communicating with donors super easy.

We love that Keela is adaptable and able to create more personalized communications  and conversations with our donors. We used to use multiple systems for email, texting, contact info management, donation records, etc and now we are bringing them all together. Keela is easy to use and the dashboard is user friendly. Also, the support team is very quick and responsive to my constant questions via email or chat.

The only feature Keela does not have yet is a way to manage our Banquet event registrations and table seating.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

All contacts in one database is a HUGE advantage. Having communications integrated into the software is a must-have tool to be effective in fundraising. Integrated automation workflows is also a feature we have LOVED. Keela is one of the most affordable donor software we were able to find with integrated communications. It is very user-friendly. We have around 6,000 contacts.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

Not being able to pick up the phone and talk to support is annoying. You have to schedule phone calls or otherwise submit an email request. 

The system typically has a lag-time when clicking from screen to screen. 

When logging cash/check donations, there is no batch entry option. You can import a file, but sometimes the file import can take hours, so you can't have any plans that day for the imported data. 

Sometimes the features can be a little buggie. For instance, the system can't identify new contacts vs. donors for some reason, even though the filter is available. 

There are no filters for last donation date or street address which has been annoying. 

The built-in email communications can be a little restrictive and unpredictable. Not nearly as many features as constant contact or mail chimp, but we have made it work becasue it totally pays off to have communications integrated.

Having all of our contacts in a single database solves the problems that come with siloed data. Having integrated email communications really opens the door for more specific segmentation and effectiveness tracking.

Keela has robust functionality built in from the start (email marketing, donor management, payment processing, memberships, event registration). Not having to research and integrate other products allows for a streamlined process and helped our small team learn a system fast.

Because Keela does so much, it unfortunately means some functionality suffers. For example, when scrolling through dozens of pages of donors, you have to click through page by page...you cannot simply select a page number. Furthermore, when you select a donor on, say page 7, when you select "back" you are taken back to page 1 and must select "next" 6 more times to get back to page 7. This is a small annoyance when it happens once, but if you're in your CRM for a few hours and have to do this multiple times, it's a serious flaw.

Keela has everything in one place for nonprofit contact/database/fundraising management. They also have the best customer service in the industry. One of the items that really sets them apart is their monthly webinars to help you learn more! This software is very easy to use and they make sure you know how to implement it. I am in the CRM daily doing a variety of tasks.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

We are a small non profit and we were managing all our relationships and donors on spreadsheets. We knew we needed to take the leap to a CRM, but we were hesitant to invest the money. Over 6 months we trialled all the main non profit CRMs, and Keela came out head and shoulders above the rest. Although it is an additional expense, we easily earn that back in increased donations and recurring donations set up through Keela. There are many features of Keela we don't use, but if you had a sophisticated fundraising team they would be great.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

Some features are not as customizable as I would like, for example, you can't have a pay what you want/custom membership amount, which was a core component of our membership program.

**What problems is Keela solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We now have way better data management. We had a really clunky membership program before Keela, and now people can easily become members and set up an auto-renewal for their membership, which is a game changer for us. We are finding over 70% of members are opting for auto renewal, which is saving us a stack of time sending follow up emails that are being lost.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

Keela is an intiutive CRM that works really well for the needs we have at our charity. Keela's core contact management system works well and everything else flows well around it.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

There is nothing specifically that I dislike about Keela. There were a few features we were left wanting for, but they have since added them in and filled some holes.

**What problems is Keela solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keela helps us consolidate our donor information and integrate it with Quickbooks Online. Keela is generally intiutive in understanding where donors are at and makes recommendations for what we should be doing. It has quickly become more fleshed out with features and has lots of options to engage supporters.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

The ability to make it our own, to use it as we need to. And the support to do this has been fantastic! The on-boarding is great, plus the follow up support the same.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

The downside is trying to maintain our contact list within our paid allotment.. the next level is way more people but the cost shows that and we can't go there.

**What problems is Keela solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to divide out our contacts into various contact groups using tags. Makes communication with the right groups very easy so we know weren't spamming those who don't need the info.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

Customer service is amazing. Constantly updating to make better. Very easy to navigate and use. An integral tool for us. Email marketing option is easy to use with good amount of customization. Love that you can track donations and revenue through Keela.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

Not a fan of paid add-ons. Wish they were included but understand why they aren't. SendGrid integration doesn't work with Wix and causes a lot of bounced emails for us.

Contact list management, cross referencing contacts, receiving and tracking revenue and donations, sending email newsletters

**What do you like best about Keela?**

It's easy for multiple people in our company to access the same information and get the overview needed to move forward (including those with very little computer knowledge).

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

It's really clunky to edit contact information. For example (this is just one of several grievances), when I click on an individual contact, there is a "edit" button that appears beneath the contact name. You would think that button helps you edit contact information, but it doesn't. I also wish there were customizable fields. Maybe there are, I just can't figure it out.
I also curse Keela every December when I have to manually create year-end giving receipts because they have no option to do so automatically.

**What problems is Keela solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem of having multiple people see at a glance how we are doing with fundraising and donor retention.

**What do you like best about Keela?**

Being able to track and organize our donations and donors is the most useful part. The fundraising tab is extremely helpful and easy to use. The reports you can create and download also are helpful in giving us an overall summary of how our organization is doing.

**What do you dislike about Keela?**

The communication templates could use updating or more freedom to design our own template.

**What problems is Keela solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With a small team, the structure of Keela helps us manage our donors and keep everything in one place to stay organized.
