## About Apify
Apify is the largest marketplace of tools for AI. At its core is Apify Store, a marketplace where builders create, publish, and monetize tools called Actors. Actors are serverless cloud programs that get web data and automate tasks on the web. Builders create them with JavaScript or Python. Build an Actor once and publish it to Apify Store. Thousands of builders already have. Earn when others use it - Apify handles all the infrastructure, billing, and monthly payouts. For everyone else, Apify means never building from scratch. Apify Store has thousands of ready-to-run Actors for extracting Amazon product data, scraping Google Maps listings, monitoring competitor prices, pulling social media content, generating leads, and hundreds of other jobs on the web. Pick the Actor you need, run it, and get your data. Behind the scenes, Actors handle proxy rotation, CAPTCHA solving, JavaScript rendering, headless browsers, scaling, storage, and scheduling. The Apify platform runs with 99.95% uptime. It's SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, and CCPA compliant, and trusted by companies and organizations such as Intercom, Groupon, and the European Commission. Run Actors through Apify Console, integrate them with Zapier and Make, or connect them to AI frameworks like LangChain and Hugging Face to feed LLMs and vector databases. Apify's MCP server lets AIs like Claude discover and use Actors as tools dynamically, so an agent can ask "find the top 10 Indian restaurants in San Francisco" and automatically use the right Actor to get that data. Use cases span competitive intelligence, lead generation, market research, SEO monitoring, and crawling websites for AI context. If there's data on the web, there's probably an Actor for it. Apify has residential and datacenter proxies, browser automation with Puppeteer and Playwright, automatic retries, error handling, monitoring dashboards, and APIs. Schedule runs to keep data fresh and export to JSON, CSV, Excel, Google Sheets, databases, or push straight into your workflows. Beyond Apify Store, the Professional Services team builds and maintains custom solutions with dedicated data experts and long-term project maintenance. Start free with $5 in prepaid monthly platform usage; paid plans scale with compute, storage, and proxy usage (see https://apify.com/pricing).

## Apify Reviews
 ### 1. Apify: Effortless, Scalable Web Scraping with Cloud Actors

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bhargav P. | Aification specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

What I like best about Apify is its ability to automate large-scale web scraping with minimal operational overhead. The Actor ecosystem, cloud execution, scheduling, and built-in proxy management make it easy to build reliable scraping workflows without managing infrastructure. It’s especially valuable for competitor ad monitoring and recurring data collection, saving significant manual effort while scaling effortlessly.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The biggest drawbacks are the learning curve and debugging experience. While the platform is powerful, new users can find the documentation and Actor ecosystem overwhelming. When a scraper fails, identifying the root cause from execution logs can take time. I’d also like to see better Actor discovery, clearer quality metrics, and more visual workflow-building capabilities for complex automation pipelines.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify automates the collection of publicly available web data, eliminating hours of manual research. In my case, it helps monitor competitor ads and pricing, collect market intelligence on a schedule, and deliver consistent data for analysis. This saves time, improves decision-making, and allows the team to focus on insights rather than repetitive data collection.

 ### 2. Apify Makes Complex Data Collection Reliable, Scalable, and Hands-Off

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sameer A. | Management Trainee, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

I like that Apify gives me a reliable way to automate complex data‑collection tasks without needing to build or maintain my own infrastructure. The platform scales effortlessly, handles dynamic websites better than most tools I’ve tried, and provides clean, structured data that’s easy to plug into dashboards or AI workflows. What stands out most is the combination of flexibility and stability — once a workflow is set up, it runs consistently in the background and frees up a huge amount of time that would otherwise be spent on manual research or repetitive tasks.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

I dislike that some parts of Apify still feel overly technical, especially for users who aren’t deeply familiar with JSON, selectors, or debugging automation workflows. Certain actors have inconsistent input formats, which makes setup less intuitive than it could be. Error messages can also be vague at times, requiring extra trial and error to understand what went wrong. While the platform is powerful, the usability gaps mean that even simple tasks can take longer than expected for non‑technical users.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify solves the problem of collecting reliable data at scale without manual effort. It automates repetitive research tasks, keeps information up to date, and removes the need to maintain custom scraping tools. This saves time, reduces errors, and lets me focus on analysis and decision‑making instead of data gathering.

 ### 3. Apify Made Large-Scale Google Maps Scraping Fast, Reliable, and Automatable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahmoud D. | Founder, TastePass, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

As a solo founder, what I value most is that Apify let me skip building any scraping infrastructure. The ready-made Google Maps Actor pulls thousands of real venues per run (some of mine returned over 5,000 places), with proxies and anti-blocking handled for me.
Performance has been excellent: every run I have launched completed successfully, and large pulls of several thousand places finish quickly, which is what let me build verified catalogues for nine cities, each in about an afternoon.
The integrations are a big part of the appeal. Output comes back as clean, structured data that drops straight into my pipeline, and the MCP server lets me trigger and pull runs directly from my AI workflow, so the whole process is automatable rather than manual. That AI-driven workflow is genuinely useful.
The console is clear once you know it: launching, monitoring and exporting a run is straightforward, and the Actor documentation and ready-made templates meant I could onboard myself without contacting support.
On pricing, the pay-as-you-go model suits a bootstrapped budget, and the ROI has been strong: a modest spend produced thousands of verified venues that are now the core of my product.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

Here's the "dislike" answer, balanced and constructive, and it deepens the two topics that were still unchecked (UI/UX and Onboarding) plus the cost side of Pricing/ROI:

A few honest downsides. First, the usage-based billing needs active watching. Costs can climb faster than you expect on big runs, the spend controls are not front and center, and I would like a clear cost estimate shown before a run rather than after. Spend limits do exist, so it is manageable, but new users should turn them on early.

Second, Actor quality is inconsistent across the marketplace. Because anyone can publish, some Actors are excellent while others break when the target site changes or behave differently from their documentation. A stronger verified or production-grade tier, with clearer reliability signals, would let you trust an Actor without testing several first.

Third, the first-run experience is steeper than it should be for a non-developer. Configuring an Actor's input fields and proxy options took some trial and error, documentation quality varies between community Actors, and onboarding is entirely self-serve, so you work it out yourself. Once you are over that initial climb it runs smoothly, but the ramp could be gentler.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My product lives or dies on one thing: real, verified restaurants, not the invented places generic AI tools produce. Collecting that data accurately and at scale was the single hardest part of building it, and it is the problem Apify solved for me.
Instead of manually compiling venues or building and maintaining my own scrapers, I run a proven Google Maps Actor per city and get thousands of verified venues back (names, ratings, photos, coordinates) in one deep pass. I have done this for nine cities so far, each in about an afternoon.
The benefit is twofold. Practically, it turned a months-long data problem into a repeatable, near-hands-off step, at a modest pay-as-you-go cost a bootstrapped solo founder can afford. Strategically, that verified dataset is now my core differentiator: I can offer travellers real, trustworthy venues instead of the unreliable results AI invents. Without Apify, that value proposition would not exist.

 ### 4. Apify Speeds Up Data Collection Workflows for Lead Scraping and Research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Apollo B. | BD Data Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

What I like best about Apify is the speed it gives me when building data collection workflows. Instead of creating custom scrapers from scratch, I can usually find an actor that gets me most of the way there, then adjust the inputs and clean the output afterward.

For my work, it is especially helpful for lead scraping, Google Maps data, company research, and sourcing structured information for outbound campaigns. The outputs are easy to use in Google Sheets, Airtable, Make, n8n, and CRM workflows, which makes it practical for real client delivery.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The main downside is that not every actor behaves the same way, so there is sometimes a testing period before finding the right setup. Some runs need cleanup afterward, especially when the data is being used for lead generation. It would also be helpful if pricing, run limits, and expected output volume were easier to estimate before running certain actors.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

That's allowing me to source leads from my clients a lot cheaper than usual market prices.

 ### 5. The most reliable web scraping platform on the cloud

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johnny G. | Operator - Scuderia Ferrari, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

The absolute best thing is their massive library of pre-built "Actors". Instead of wasting time writing custom scrapers from scratch and fighting IP blocks, you just pick an Actor from their store, plug in your target URLs or keywords, and get clean, structured data back in seconds. Also, their built-in proxy management is top-notch and handles all the heavy lifting behind the scenes seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

There isn't much to dislike, but the platform's dashboard can be a bit overwhelming at first for complete beginners. It takes a little bit of time to understand how the credit system and compute units are consumed by different scripts, though their documentation is very good and helps you figure it out quickly.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify solves the constant headache of writing, maintaining, and scaling web scrapers. Since website structures change constantly and IPs get blocked easily, handling everything in-house was a nightmare. Offloading this to Apify saves us dozens of developer hours every month and provides a highly reliable, automated pipeline of clean data for our market research and lead generation.

 ### 6. Great tool for web scraping automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** maisert k. | Mechanical Engineering Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

Apify has a clean and functional UI/UX that makes it easy to manage scraping tasks, especially through its dashboard and prebuilt Actors. While beginners may need some time to understand the workflow, the overall experience is well structured.
In terms of integrations, Apify works well with APIs, webhooks, and external tools, making it easy to connect data pipelines or export results to other systems.
Performance is generally strong, even for larger scraping jobs, and the cloud infrastructure handles scaling without requiring manual setup.
From a pricing and ROI perspective, it is reasonable considering the time saved from not having to build and maintain scrapers from scratch. It is especially valuable for teams that rely heavily on data extraction.
Support and onboarding are helpful, with documentation and examples that make it easier to get started. However, advanced use cases may still require some technical learning.
For AI / intelligence features, Apify is not primarily an AI tool, but it can be combined with AI workflows when processing scraped data.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

While Apify is a powerful platform, there are a few areas that could be improved. The learning curve can be steep for beginners, especially when working with custom Actors or advanced configurations. Some users may need time to fully understand the workflow and platform structure.
In terms of UI/UX, the interface is generally clean, but managing multiple complex scraping tasks can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when handling many Actors at once.
It would also be helpful to have more beginner-friendly guides or simplified templates for common use cases to reduce setup time.
Overall, these are not major issues, but improving onboarding and simplifying some advanced workflows would make the platform even more accessible.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify solves the problem of building and maintaining web scraping and automation infrastructure. Instead of developing custom scrapers from scratch, I can use prebuilt Actors or quickly create my own, which significantly reduces development time and effort.
It also handles scaling, scheduling, and running scraping jobs in the cloud, which removes the need to manage servers or infrastructure.
This benefits me by saving time, improving productivity, and allowing me to focus more on data usage and analysis rather than maintenance and setup. It is especially useful for repetitive data collection tasks and automation workflows.

 ### 7. Powerful, flexible and just works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wojciech K. | Operation Excellence Senior Consultatn, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

The combination of flexibility and reliability is what keeps me coming back. I can grab a ready-made actor from the marketplace and be collecting data within minutes, or build something fully custom when the use case demands it. Either way, the results are consistent and the output is clean and structured – ready to plug straight into my workflow without any cleanup. For someone running multiple automated pipelines across different sources, that kind of dependability is everything.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The learning curve when building custom actors can be steep if you're not comfortable with JavaScript or Python. It's not a dealbreaker, but newer users without a technical background might need some time to get past the basics. Better visual tooling or more guided templates for custom builds would make the platform accessible to a much wider audience.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Apify, monitoring job boards, discussion groups, and lead sources was eating 2-3 hours of my day. Now it runs automatically in the background and I check structured results in minutes. That time saving alone is significant, but the bigger benefit is speed – being first to spot and respond to new opportunities directly translates to more business won. On top of that, delivering automated data pipelines has become a service I actively offer to clients, so Apify went from being a personal productivity tool to a billable part of my work.

 ### 8. The scraping layer that makes my AI agents actually work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor S. | Analista de Atendimento ao Cliente e Cobrança, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

The Actor Store is what gets me every time. I remember when I first needed Instagram data for an AI agent I was building, I was ready to spend weeks coding a scraper from scratch, dealing with proxies, anti-bot systems, the whole headache. Then I found Apify, searched the Store, found exactly what I needed, configured it in maybe 20 minutes, and the data was flowing into my n8n pipeline.
That's the thing that really stuck with me. As a solo developer running multiple projects at the same time, I can't afford to waste time reinventing the wheel. Apify basically handed me enterprise-level scraping infrastructure without asking me to become an infrastructure engineer first. The reliability is also something I genuinely appreciate, once an Actor is running on a schedule, it just works. Clean output, consistent delivery, no surprises. That kind of dependability is rare and it's what keeps me coming back.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The pricing model is honestly the biggest friction point. There are two layers, platform credits and per-Actor costs on top of that, and when you're just starting out it's not immediately obvious how fast things can add up. I had a couple of runs that burned through credits faster than expected because I didn't fully understand how a specific Actor charged per result. A clearer cost estimator before you hit run would save a lot of headaches.
The UI also has room to grow. It's functional, but debugging a failed run takes more clicks than it should. When something breaks mid-pipeline, I want to know exactly what went wrong without having to dig through logs manually. Better inline error reporting would make a real difference for developers running Apify in production environments.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem was data. My AI sales agent needed real Instagram data to function, and without a reliable way to collect it, the whole system just didn't work. I was either scraping manually, which doesn't scale at all, or looking at building my own scraper from scratch, which would've taken weeks and still probably broken every time Instagram updated something.
Apify solved that completely. Now the data flows automatically into my n8n pipeline, lands clean in Supabase, and my AI agents pick it up from there to qualify leads and trigger WhatsApp outreach sequences. The whole thing runs on its own.
In practical terms: what used to be a bottleneck that blocked the entire system is now something I don't think about anymore. I went from spending time fighting infrastructure to spending time improving the actual intelligence layer, the prompts, the logic, the client results. That shift alone is worth a lot when you're a solo developer trying to build something serious with limited time and resources.

 ### 9. Apify Makes It Easy to Build, Monetize, and Distribute Scraping Actors

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asher S. | Web Development Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

I'm a computer science student from Namibia who started building web scraping actors on Apify about 6 months ago. I now have 2 live monetized actors on the Apify Store covering African real estate and e-commerce data, and I've already received my first payout.
The platform is genuinely well built. The actor system makes it easy to package and monetize scraping tools, the proxy infrastructure is reliable, and the store gives you real distribution. The documentation is solid and the developer relations team has been supportive.
If you're a developer looking to build and monetize data products, Apify is the best platform I've found for it. The pay-per-result pricing model works well for both sides.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The free tier limits make it difficult to test actors thoroughly before publishing, running out of compute credits mid-test is frustrating when you're still in development. The automated quality testing system that flags actors as "under maintenance" can also be overly aggressive; it flagged my actor repeatedly even after fixing the issue, which temporarily hurt my store visibility. Better documentation around the input schema defaults required for automated testing would save new developers a lot of time.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify solves the problem of building, hosting, and monetizing web scraping tools without needing to manage your own infrastructure. As a developer in Namibia, I was able to build scrapers for African real estate and e-commerce data, markets that are largely ignored by existing data providers, and publish them to a global marketplace where paying customers can find and use them.
The platform handles proxies, scheduling, storage, billing, and payouts. That means I can focus purely on building the scraper logic rather than DevOps. Within a few months I went from zero to three live monetized actors covering Property24 across 9 African countries and Takealot product data, and received my first payout of over $200.
For developers in emerging markets especially, Apify levels the playing field, you can build a data product once and sell it globally without needing a company, payment infrastructure, or marketing budget beyond the store listing itself.

 ### 10. Apify Makes Large-Scale Data Collection Fast, Reliable, and Easy to Manage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven W. | Business Owner / Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

The biggest benefit for us has been the ability to automate large scale social media and web data collection without needing to constantly maintain custom scraping systems ourselves. We regularly use Apify for competitor monitoring, trend analysis, and collecting public engagement data, and it has reduced hours of manual research work each week.

The Apify Store is one of the strongest parts of the platform because many common scraping tasks already have ready made Actors available. Instead of building workflows from scratch, we can usually deploy and customise an existing Actor quite quickly. The scheduling system is reliable, data exports are straightforward, and integrating outputs into spreadsheets and reporting workflows is simple.

The interface is also much cleaner and easier to manage than many other scraping platforms we tested. Even for more advanced workflows, the dashboard makes it easy to monitor runs, troubleshoot issues, and manage datasets. Pricing can increase on larger projects, but for the amount of time it saves and the scale of data it allows us to collect, the ROI has been very good overall.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The only real downside we have found is that some community maintained Actors can occasionally break when websites change their layouts or anti bot protections. It is usually resolved quite quickly, but it does mean certain workflows sometimes need small adjustments or maintenance to keep them running smoothly.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify solves the problem of manually collecting and organising large amounts of public web and social media data. It allows us to automate competitor monitoring, trend research, and data collection workflows that would otherwise take hours each week to do manually. This has improved efficiency, made reporting more consistent, and allowed us to analyse much larger datasets than would be practical with manual research alone.
