## About Apify
Apify is the largest marketplace of tools for AI. At its core is Apify Store, a marketplace where builders create, publish, and monetize tools called Actors. Actors are serverless cloud programs that get web data and automate tasks on the web. Builders create them with JavaScript or Python. Build an Actor once and publish it to Apify Store. Thousands of builders already have. Earn when others use it - Apify handles all the infrastructure, billing, and monthly payouts. For everyone else, Apify means never building from scratch. Apify Store has thousands of ready-to-run Actors for extracting Amazon product data, scraping Google Maps listings, monitoring competitor prices, pulling social media content, generating leads, and hundreds of other jobs on the web. Pick the Actor you need, run it, and get your data. Behind the scenes, Actors handle proxy rotation, CAPTCHA solving, JavaScript rendering, headless browsers, scaling, storage, and scheduling. The Apify platform runs with 99.95% uptime. It's SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, and CCPA compliant, and trusted by companies and organizations such as Intercom, Groupon, and the European Commission. Run Actors through Apify Console, integrate them with Zapier and Make, or connect them to AI frameworks like LangChain and Hugging Face to feed LLMs and vector databases. Apify's MCP server lets AIs like Claude discover and use Actors as tools dynamically, so an agent can ask "find the top 10 Indian restaurants in San Francisco" and automatically use the right Actor to get that data. Use cases span competitive intelligence, lead generation, market research, SEO monitoring, and crawling websites for AI context. If there's data on the web, there's probably an Actor for it. Apify has residential and datacenter proxies, browser automation with Puppeteer and Playwright, automatic retries, error handling, monitoring dashboards, and APIs. Schedule runs to keep data fresh and export to JSON, CSV, Excel, Google Sheets, databases, or push straight into your workflows. Beyond Apify Store, the Professional Services team builds and maintains custom solutions with dedicated data experts and long-term project maintenance. Start free with $5 in prepaid monthly platform usage; paid plans scale with compute, storage, and proxy usage (see https://apify.com/pricing).

## Apify Reviews
 ### 1. Apify Makes It Easy to Build, Monetize, and Distribute Scraping Actors

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asher S. | Graduate Software Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

I'm a computer science student from Namibia who started building web scraping actors on Apify about 6 months ago. I now have 2 live monetized actors on the Apify Store covering African real estate and e-commerce data, and I've already received my first payout.
The platform is genuinely well built. The actor system makes it easy to package and monetize scraping tools, the proxy infrastructure is reliable, and the store gives you real distribution. The documentation is solid and the developer relations team has been supportive.
If you're a developer looking to build and monetize data products, Apify is the best platform I've found for it. The pay-per-result pricing model works well for both sides.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The free tier limits make it difficult to test actors thoroughly before publishing, running out of compute credits mid-test is frustrating when you're still in development. The automated quality testing system that flags actors as "under maintenance" can also be overly aggressive; it flagged my actor repeatedly even after fixing the issue, which temporarily hurt my store visibility. Better documentation around the input schema defaults required for automated testing would save new developers a lot of time.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify solves the problem of building, hosting, and monetizing web scraping tools without needing to manage your own infrastructure. As a developer in Namibia, I was able to build scrapers for African real estate and e-commerce data, markets that are largely ignored by existing data providers, and publish them to a global marketplace where paying customers can find and use them.
The platform handles proxies, scheduling, storage, billing, and payouts. That means I can focus purely on building the scraper logic rather than DevOps. Within a few months I went from zero to three live monetized actors covering Property24 across 9 African countries and Takealot product data, and received my first payout of over $200.
For developers in emerging markets especially, Apify levels the playing field, you can build a data product once and sell it globally without needing a company, payment infrastructure, or marketing budget beyond the store listing itself.

 ### 2. Great Scraping with Affordable Pricing but You Have to Do Some Trial and Error

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lalit A. | Internshala Student Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

The thing I like the most about Apify is that it's not just a tool, it's a proper community platform. Anyone can build their own actors and anyone can use them, which means theres almost always an actor available for whatever you want to scrape. The scrapers are really good and I've been able to get data that I genuinely didn't think was possible to pull without hiring a developer. The pricing is also not that bad compared to other tools in this space and on top of that they give you $5 free credits every month which is a nice bonus, it covers small tasks comfortably. For what it does, I really like it and find great value in Apify.

P.S. The UI is interesting, like it's easy and complex at the same time. It looks a bit complex but you can figure it all out in 5-10 mins.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

There's just one thing I dislike about Apify which is that the quality of actors varies a lot depending on the developer who built them. So I always have to spend some time finding the right actor/scraper for what I want to do and then test one or two before I can actually start using one. Sometimes an actor looks great in documentation and then the results are off, or it breaks on certain websites. Also the pricing per actor can vary depending on who built it, so its not always predictable. You kind of have to do some test runs and keep a budget aside for that which is a bit annoying when your trying to move fast.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it mainly for scraping data that I need for research and lead generation. Before Apify I either had to do things manually or use specific scrapers which only scraped some websites like one for google map, another for instagram or contact a developer to build something custom. It was very slow, painfully hard and expensive process. With Apify I can just find an actor, run it, and get the data I need within minutes most of the time. The $5 monthly free credit also means for lighter use cases I basically don't have to paying anything. It's saved me a lot of time and the community aspect means the platform keeps growing with more actors being added all the time. Not perfect, but for the price point its hard to complain too much.

 ### 3. Essential tool for AI-powered automation pipelines

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camilo C. | Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

The Actor marketplace is incredibly valuable. I'm building an automated lead generation system using AI (Claude API for scoring, Playwright for automation) and Apify handles all the web scraping infrastructure. Pre-built Instagram Actors give me structured data that I pipe directly into my AI scoring pipeline. The REST API integration with my Node.js/Express backend was seamless — well-documented endpoints, predictable response formats, and solid error handling.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The learning curve for building custom Actors is steeper than I expected. Also, some third-party Actors in the marketplace vary in quality — it would help to have more standardized output schemas across similar Actors.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Apify, I was spending 60-70% of my development time on scraping infrastructure — proxy rotation, browser fingerprinting, anti-bot evasion, and data parsing. Now that's all handled by the platform, and I can focus on the AI and business logic of my application. It's reduced my time-to-market significantly and the per-usage pricing keeps costs predictable for a bootstrapped project.

 ### 4. Apify Makes Scraping Effortless: One-Stop Platform with Easy APIs and Powerful Hosting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco R. | Owner/engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

Everything lives in one place, you pay only when it's called, and you don't have to build a single scraper.
That's the part I think is genuinely underrated about Apify - it's not just a hosting platform, it's a scraping utility layer you can lean on. For someone building a AI agentic business for other businesses that's a significant shortcut. The UI is not super complicated to use, the API integration is easy to find and implement, their hosting servers have plenty power to handle huge data outputs.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The pricing model is confusing - compute units, platform fees, Actor rental fees all layered on top of each other, hard to predict costs before you run something. Free tier is quite limited, you hit the ceiling fast when experimenting.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding leads and market research. Apify helps me to get leads for my start up business. it was my first time to go out and find leads for my own business and Apify was the first platform I came across that provided the tools I needed to do that and the knowledge as well.

 ### 5. The Sweet Spot: No-Code Ease with Script-Level Control for Reliable Scheduled Scraping

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Huy V. | Data Analyst Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

It hit the sweet spot between the no-code simplicity of Octoparse and the full control of custom scripts. It handles the hard parts (headless browsers, proxies, anti-bot) out of the box, outputs clean structured data that plugs straight into my existing stack, and lets me schedule reliable recurring runs without managing infrastructure. For my specific need — automated scraping of dynamic review and competitor data feeding a weekly reporting pipeline — it was the most balanced fit.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

Cost predictability. The compute-unit pricing can creep up if scraping volume isn't actively monitored, which makes budgeting harder for a small team. Secondary to that is the fragility of community-maintained Actors — when a platform changes its page structure, third-party Actors break and I'm left waiting on a fix or debugging someone else's code. The learning curve around core concepts (Actors, datasets, key-value stores) is also steeper than ideal for non-developers.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My experience with Apify has been shaped by my role at Pin Wei, where I'm the sole data analyst building and maintaining everything from data pipelines to reporting dashboards. Apify came in to fill a specific gap: my internal stack (Make + Google Apps Script processing iPOS sales data) had no way to capture what was happening outside our own systems — customer reviews, competitor pricing, and our visibility on delivery platforms.
Getting started took some ramp-up. Coming from an Apps Script background, the core concepts — Actors, datasets, key-value stores — weren't intuitive at first, and I leaned on marketplace Actors rather than writing my own to move faster. Once I understood the model, the real value showed up in how cleanly it integrated: I wire Apify's output via webhook into Make, which lands structured review and competitor data into Google Sheets in the right schema for Looker Studio blending. That meant external web data and internal iPOS data finally sit in one weekly reporting view.
Day to day, the strongest part is reliability on hard targets. Google Maps and Foody are JavaScript-heavy and block scraping aggressively, and Apify's headless browsers and managed proxies handle that without me babysitting runs — important when I'm the only person maintaining the pipeline.
The friction has been cost predictability and Actor fragility. Compute-unit pricing means I keep an eye on volume to avoid creep, and when platforms change their layout, community Actors sometimes break and I wait on a fix. But at our scale the automation and integration benefits clearly outweigh those, and it's become a dependable part of how I turn scattered public data into something management can actually use.

 ### 6. Clean API, Predictable JSON, and Time-Saving Pre-Built Actors

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David P. | Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

The API is clean and the JSON output is predictable. I connect it to LLMs in minutes without fighting parsers or handling edge cases. Pre-built actors for websites, YouTube, and Spotify save hours compared to building scrapers from scratch. It just works.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The dashboard UX feels clunky. Finding actors, managing runs, and navigating the platform isn't smooth. I haven't tested deep linking much yet, but it hasn't worked well when I tried. The core functionality is solid even if the interface needs polish.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed structured data from websites for client projects but building custom scrapers took too much time. Now we use Apify to pull data from websites, YouTube, and Spotify in minutes instead of days. The clean JSON output connects directly to LLMs for analysis and automation. We've cut data collection time by hours per project and can deliver enriched datasets to clients faster.

 ### 7. Reliable Platform for Scalable Search and LinkedIn Data Collection

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

What I like most about Apify is that it makes web data collection scalable and repeatable without forcing us to build everything from scratch. The ready-made actors are especially useful for use cases such as Google Search monitoring, LinkedIn research, lead generation, and competitor tracking.

The biggest benefit for us is the time savings. Rather than manually collecting and organizing data, we can automate the process, schedule recurring runs, and export results in formats like CSV, Excel, JSON, or Google Sheets. The API access is also a major plus, since it lets us connect scraped data to our internal workflows and reporting tools.

Overall, Apify stands out because it brings flexibility, automation, and usability together in one platform. It helps our team get more consistent data, move through research cycles faster, and scale data collection without adding extra manual effort.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

What I dislike about Apify is that some workflows can still feel quite technical, especially for non-engineering users. Setting up certain actors, configuring inputs properly, choosing the right proxy settings, and understanding usage limits often takes some trial and error.

Another downside is that scraper reliability can vary depending on the target website. With sources like Google Search or LinkedIn, changes in page structure, access rules, or rate limits can lead to failed runs or incomplete results. That’s understandable with web scraping, but it still means you need to monitor runs and do occasional troubleshooting.

The cost structure can also be hard to predict before running larger jobs. More upfront cost previews, clearer error messages, and more guided setup steps would make the platform easier to use and reduce uncertainty, especially for business users.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify helps us solve the challenge of manually collecting and organizing web data from sources like Google Search and LinkedIn. Before using it, these tasks took a lot of repetitive research, copying, cleaning, and formatting. With Apify, much of that work is automated, and we get structured data that’s easier to analyze and put to use.

The biggest business benefit for us is improved efficiency. Our team can gather search results, company information, job postings, prospect data, and competitor insights far faster than we could manually. This directly supports lead generation, market research, recruiting intelligence, and competitor monitoring.

It also lets us scale our research without adding extra headcount. By scheduling recurring runs and exporting data into tools like CSV, Excel, JSON, or Google Sheets, we can keep information current and make decisions more quickly. Overall, Apify saves time, improves data consistency, and helps our team spend more time on analysis and outreach instead of manual data collection.

 ### 8. Diverse Scrapping Capabilities with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

I use Apify for scraping information for outreach, such as LinkedIn job scrapers, reviews, email verification, and ad lookups. I like that it provides one platform with a huge variety of different scrapers, allowing me to choose the most affordable and suitable ones for each task, and pay for all with a single bill. Most I like the fair billing and, most importantly, the extensive integrations via API and MCP, which let a Claude Code agent perform work on my behalf. These integrations are a game changer because I can instruct it to scrape job postings on LinkedIn and look up local documents like what filters to use, and then run the scrape on Apify and automatically pull results.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The biggest problem is that many scrappers provide poor results, often needing to try a few scrappers before finding one that works correctly and perfectly. Although reviews help with that, they aren't always reliable. It would also be great to see an output preview for each scrapper because currently, I need to run the scrapper and spend money just to see the output, only to realize that it doesn't have the necessary columns I need. Additionally, it was a bit difficult to understand how it works at first. The onboarding process isn't too easy, with many confusing specific terminologies, but once I learned it, it became easy.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Apify for scraping various data like LinkedIn jobs and reviews. It offers many scrapers on a single platform, providing flexibility with cost-effective options. Integrations with API and MCP allow automated operations with tools like Claude Code, simplifying my workflow.

 ### 9. The scraping infrastructure layer that small teams can't afford to build themselves

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

The actor marketplace is the standout feature — instead of building custom crawlers for every source type, there's almost always an actor that handles the platform-specific complexity already. Combined with the programmatic client API, it integrates cleanly into automated pipelines without manual intervention. The managed infrastructure handling rate limiting, retries, and JavaScript rendering means scraping becomes a reliable solved problem rather than an ongoing engineering burden for the team.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

Response structure consistency across actors is the biggest pain point — different actors can return data in unexpected shapes, including nested lists where flat results are expected, which requires defensive coding and can cause silent failures that are hard to diagnose. Documentation also drops off for edge cases, so unusual behavior often has to be discovered empirically. Better structured error reporting on failed runs would also save meaningful debugging time.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify solves the content acquisition problem for our AI pipeline — reliably collecting web content across multiple source types without us owning crawler infrastructure. The direct benefit is that a small team can run a sophisticated, multi-source data collection operation that would otherwise require dedicated scraping engineering resources to build and maintain. That freed capacity goes toward the core product instead of infrastructure upkeep.

 ### 10. Fast Idea-to-Data Scraping with Apify’s Ready-Made Actors

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deep G. | Web Designer, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

What I like best about Apify is how quickly I can go from idea to actual data. For things like Google Maps scraping, I don’t need to build a crawler from scratch, I can just use an existing actor, set my search keywords and locations, and start getting results in minutes.

The platform handles things like proxies, browser automation, and blocking much better than most DIY setups. I also like that the data comes out clean in JSON, CSV, or Excel, which makes it easy to use in my own tools and dashboards. Overall it saves a lot of engineering time compared to running and maintaining my own scrapers.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

One thing I don’t like is that the pricing can become expensive when you run scrapers at scale, especially for data-heavy sources like Google Maps where a lot of proxy and compute usage is required. If you’re running large jobs or frequent crawls, the costs add up quickly.

I also found that some actors can fail or return partial data when Google changes something, so you sometimes have to rerun jobs or tweak settings. It’s not a deal breaker, but it does mean you still need to monitor runs instead of treating it as completely hands-off.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify solves the problem of getting structured data from websites that are hard to scrape, like Google Maps, without having to build and maintain a complex scraping infrastructure. Instead of dealing with proxies, headless browsers, CAPTCHA handling, and site changes myself, I can rely on Apify’s actors to handle most of that.

This benefits me because I can focus on using the data instead of spending time fixing broken scrapers. For example, when collecting business listings and contact details from Google Maps, I can run jobs on Apify and quickly get clean datasets that I can use for lead generation, market research, or price and location analysis.

 ### 11. Powerful Data Extraction with a Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valerian B. | AI & Blockchain Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

I really like the wide selection of prebuilt tools that Apify offers, especially because they are reliable for the specific sites I need. The actors available are reliable, allowing me to pull data and let Apify do its thing without me having to constantly interrupt. It's great that the exported data is structured nicely and cleanly, making it easy to integrate with other tools in my pipeline. I appreciate the comprehensive documentation that makes it easy to understand the inputs and outputs, reducing the need for trial and error and fitting well into my existing workflow. Also, the amount of data I can access is more than what I was using before, and I get it faster and cheaper. Functionality-wise, Apify is exactly what I need and has made my life much easier.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

It's a bit of a learning curve. The user interface can be a bit overwhelming. There's a lot of options, which can feel suffocating at times. The initial learning curve is definitely something that is challenging.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Apify to scale pulling real estate data, eliminating manual data gathering and expensive services. It helps me run scrapers for fresh data, crucial in deal evaluation. Initially, the setup was challenging, but once familiar, it fits seamlessly and makes my life much easier.

 ### 12. Great Dashboard, Flexible Pricing, and a Huge Variety of Prebuilt Scrapers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

Great dashboard for seeing the results of API requests and covers all of the scraping issues you'd face if you implemented it from scratch. Nice to have a competitive market and for it to be priced per result. Huge variety of prebuilt scrapers and the SDK to add your own works well.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

Some scrapers are not as well maintained as they could be. Would like to see bulk pricing for when requests grow to a large number and more Apify maintained scrapers as a sign of quality.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scraping infrastructure to save rebuilding this internally for our team. We can rely on their code and monitor the results in a dashboard, with team permissions and transparent pricing

 ### 13. Actor Store Makes Scaling Reliable Scraping Fast and Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

The Actor Store is a major differentiator. Having access to thousands of pre-configured scrapers means we can scale our data gathering across platforms like Google Maps or Amazon in minutes, not days. The way it manages headless browsers and residential proxies automatically is extremely reliable for high-volume tasks.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

While the platform is powerful, the pricing model based on compute units can be a bit tricky to forecast accurately for new, unoptimized scrapers. A more detailed cost-estimator tool within the Actor setup would be a great addition to help with budget planning.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify has removed the infrastructure headache of web scraping for our team. It allows us to funnel clean, structured web data into our internal CRM and AI pipelines without having to maintain a custom server stack or rotate proxies manually. It has significantly reduced our "time-to-data."

 ### 14. Wide Selection of API Services with Easy Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex S. | VP of operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

Big choice of api services, easy API integration

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

Pricing model based on subscription, I would rather use pay as you go pricing

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it do automate our research for marketing campaign - audience painpoints, competitors ads

 ### 15. Apify Saves Time with Intuitive Workflows and Ready-Made Actors

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter V. | Business development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

Pros:
Apify has saved me a huge amount of time. The interface is intuitive, and the ready‑made actors cover almost everything I need. I like that I can set up workflows without writing complex code.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

Sometimes the documentation feels a bit scattered, so it takes a moment to find the exact example I need.
Also you need to read a lot in order to chose the correct tool that most probably will help you.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m very satisfied — the platform is stable, fast, and helps me automate tasks that used to take hours.

 ### 16. Fast, User-Friendly Powerhouse for Web Scraping

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pratik g2survy T.

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

I find Apify to be fast and its user interface is better than other extensions, being not too complex and yet one of the most powerful tools I know. The issue section where people discuss problems is useful, as well as the proxy section and cloud storage. The UI is friendly and easy to navigate, making the initial setup hassle-free. I've experienced consistently good performance over different extensions like Instagram, Google Maps, and Reddit, and I'm looking forward to using it with TikTok, hoping for the same positive feedback.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

I personally haven't faced any issues with Apify, but I've overheard some issues regarding the API integration and its management. Managing a large number of actor runs through the API can become complex, especially when handling datasets and post-run cleanup. I think there could be improvements in API documentation, clearer examples for lifecycle management, and better tooling for monitoring API-triggered runs.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Apify to extract information not available on the web's front end, like downloading Instagram posts and tracking Amazon product history. It's fast, user-friendly, and has powerful features for web scraping across platforms.

 ### 17. Efficient Data Extraction with Room for Instruction Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohamad H.

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

I used Apify’s Google Maps Scraper and found it straightforward to set up, which helped me extract location and business information efficiently. Apify helped me save time and avoid repetitive manual work by quickly gathering accurate and structured information, improving my project planning and analysis. What I like most about Apify is its ease of use and flexibility. The flexibility lets me adjust the settings to extract the specific data I need, making it practical for different projects. The initial setup of Apify was fairly easy, and I was able to start extracting data without major issues. Apify is very useful for automating data extraction.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

One thing that could be improved is the initial setup instructions for some Scrapers. The main challenge was understanding some of the advanced settings in the Google Maps Scraper. The instructions assume familiarity with certain terms and options. Adding more step-by-step examples or screenshots could make the setup clearer for new users.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify saves me time and avoids repetitive manual work by allowing me to quickly gather accurate, structured data from multiple websites, improving project planning and analysis.

 ### 18. Efficient Web Scraping, Quick Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shepherd J. | Digital Marketer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

I use Apify for web scraping and automation, and it has been really helpful. The ready-made actors save a lot of time, and the platform is easy to use even for non-developers. Apify helps me automate web data collection, saving time by helping me scrape large amounts of data quickly. What I like most about Apify is how it makes web scraping easy; the ready-made actors save time and still allow flexibility when customization is needed. The initial setup of Apify was pretty straightforward for me and my team. The user-friendly dashboard and detailed documentation made it easy to get started quickly, even for team members who aren't very technical. I rate Apify an 8 out of 10; it's a powerful and flexible tool that saves a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

One area that could be improved is the pricing, especially for heavier usage, as actors can add up quickly when running multiple actors. Also, some advanced features have a learning curve at first, but once you get familiar with the platform, it becomes much easier to use.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Apify for web scraping and automation, saving time with ready-made actors for data extraction. It helps automate web data collection, eliminating manual tasks and allowing quick scraping of large data. The platform is user-friendly even for non-developers.

 ### 19. Versatile Web Scraping with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikash Y. | Founder, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

I like the most that Apify provides a free tier so I can try out the actors without having to pay upfront. It's really helpful because sometimes the actors are not as useful as I expected, so I can keep looking for the best one without any cost. I also appreciated that Apify's initial setup is really good. The API data access is really efficient, and when I'm trying to authenticate API actors, it's seamless. They provide both call data and JSON data for inputs, which makes the process smooth and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

Sometimes when I used to scrape LinkedIn sales snippet exports, the results are limited to a few first items, like maybe the first 100 or 200 items only. They're not able to move forward. Some actors have pagination options, but they don't really work well as expected. I had to move outside of the API sometimes because of this. If the developers could improve the API efficiency, it would be better.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify solves the problem of web scraping where general models can't. It scrapes LinkedIn, Google My Business, Yelp, and more, automating data collection for clients and my team.

 ### 20. Faster Actor Updates and Powerful JavaScript-Heavy Web Scraping

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu K. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

The recent update on actor has made things faster, think of it as server less functions, that can run on demand. The use cases are vast. The scraping ability for javascript heavy websites is too good.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

It's UI is a bit crowded for me to start as learning curve can be harder. Can't estimate costs. As it can steep very high easily without any warnings.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting data from the website that don't usually allow scrapers, I've made a few scrapers for clients uch as keepa.com scraper and it's faster than any other scraper

 ### 21. Intuitive and Easy Setup but Testing Changes Could be Better

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quincy C.

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

I find Apify intuitive to use, yet it's a powerful technical tool. Setting up an actor's JSON page function was made easy using the pre-built forms. I also appreciate how relatively easy it is to set up and get started with Apify, even if you have little-to-no prior experience using it. The initial setup was quite easy.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

I don't really have a good or easy way to test changes quickly without saving and running the actor entirely.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Apify for scraping event webpages to gather data. It makes setting up a JSON page function easy with its pre-built forms. It's intuitive and powerful, even for those with no prior experience, making it easy to set up and get started.

 ### 22. Cheap and Easy to Set Up, but Reliability Needs Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

It’s cheap and easy to set up, and it offers good value for the price.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The actors can be unreliable at times, and the overall UX/UI could be improved for a smoother experience.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides our users with a quick and easy way to preview their Flextag.

 ### 23. Simplifies Data Acquisition, Enhances Project Launch

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** peter z. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Apify?**

I like how Apify simplified the back-end data acquisition for our project and accelerated the project launch process. The residential proxy service is also nice, providing a good option if we want to write crawler code ourselves. Additionally, the initial setup of Apify was easy for us.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

Sometimes, the actor can't fetch the data. It is recommended to contact the original author more conveniently.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Apify's Actor service to solve TikTok data acquisition, simplifying back-end data processes and speeding up project launch.

 ### 24. Great for Automating Data Workflows

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabio V. | founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Apify?**

What I like best about Apify is its combination of ready-made scrapers and deep customization options. The Actor Store makes it easy to get started quickly, while the ability to build custom actors gives us the flexibility to handle more complex workflows. The automation and scheduling features are also extremely helpful, since they let us run scrapers in the background and feed structured data directly into our CRM and dashboards. Overall, Apify saves us significant time, reduces manual work, and allows us to scale data collection far beyond what we could manage manually.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The main downside is the learning curve. For simpler tasks, it’s beginner-friendly, but once you need to build or customize actors, you really need solid JavaScript skills. The documentation is thorough but can feel scattered and overly technical for new users. In addition, the dashboard could benefit from better organization features (like project folders or tags) once you manage a lot of actors and datasets. Finally, pricing is fair, but credit usage isn’t always intuitive, so it takes time to understand how to optimize costs.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify is solving the problem of scalable, reliable web data extraction for our organization. Before, we relied heavily on manual research or outsourced data providers, which was time-consuming, inconsistent, and costly. With Apify, we’ve automated tasks like lead generation, competitor price monitoring, and market research, which means we can access structured, accurate data in real time.

The benefits are clear:

Efficiency – Our sales and research teams save dozens of hours each month by having data automatically scraped and delivered into our CRM and dashboards.

Cost savings – We’ve reduced external data acquisition costs by around 30–40% since we can now manage scraping in-house.

Revenue impact – Faster access to competitor insights has helped us adjust pricing strategies and win deals we may have otherwise missed.

Scalability – We can handle projects involving hundreds of thousands of data points without worrying about infrastructure or IP blocks.

 ### 25. Reliable for Workflow Newbie

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Turi M. | Author, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Apify?**

Apify had the content accesses I needed and a module that was pretty simple as a newbie to integrate with make.com - and the data comes when I call it. I'm happy with it - and as a learner with workflows - It's nice that I can rely on it.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

As a newbie to workflow design, it's a bit challenging to be sure that you've got the best module chosen for what you need to do.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping me pull information I need from a service that makes scraping its data pretty challenging. Apify can access that data and sends it on to my make automation.

 ### 26. Excellent hosting for all software projects but I hope the user experience will be improved.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yazan A. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Apify?**

Speed of order execution
The ability to specify a specific RAM size for each actor.
The API service enables the user to communicate with their program using programming languages.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

Prices should be reduced.
Discount coupons should be offered.
Plans with fewer features and lower prices should be added.
Adding advanced search features such as searching within run outputs
Working to speed up site response
I think it would be an excellent feature to add a database with a control panel for all actor outputs.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In fact, without Apify, I wouldn't know what to do, as it's the only hosting provider I could find that suited my needs. All the projects of the companies I work with—at least 10 companies—are entirely on Apify. And Apify has always been a source of praise from company managers for its speed in fulfilling their requests.
The problem we were facing was that we had an online ordering website and received many orders daily that we couldn't handle on our own. Therefore, we created an automated order fulfillment program and hosted it on Apify.

I find Apify easily accessible, which really adds to its usability. I also appreciate their API and the availability of agents logs, as they are important for troubleshooting. The initial setup of Apify was easy for my team, which made getting started hassle-free.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

I find that Apify doesn't always work smoothly for data acquisition. Also, the agents are often not updated, which can be frustrating. It would be helpful if developers maintained their agents more consistently.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Apify for data acquisition with scrapers, though it doesn't work always.

 ### 30. Wide Agent Selection and Ready to Use Out of the Box

Nothing specific about apify. I think everything seems to be good for me

From the listed agents, I was able to gather information about how they were created, which helped me understand how to build my own agent there.

 ### 31. Great Software for Web Scraping

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Apify?**

What I like the most in Apify is its diverse options and features for web scraping tools, including those created by other users and customized by you. So far, I have only used majority of Facebook posts scraper tools, and I can say that they have been highly effective and well-aligned to my needs. Additionally, this software is beginner-friendly. Anyone can easily grasp the fundamentals of scraping through this platform.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

One of the downsides of Apify is its runtime reliability. Whenever I try to scrape a large amount of data, sometimes it fails to do an accurate work and only scrape a few posts. This might be due to the limits of a free account. Additionally, this runtime errors still consumes credit, which makes the free trial credit quota deplete faster than expected.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify helps solve the challenge of extracting structured data from dynamic websites without requiring deep technical expertise. For me, it streamlines the process of collecting large volumes of Facebook post data for research and benchmarking purposes. Its customizable scrapers and user-generated tools allow me to tailor workflows to specific project needs, saving time and reducing manual effort.

 ### 32. Solid Community Support, Premium Pricing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paolo f.

I appreciate that the community upholds and updates scrapers consistently. I also find it great that we can connect Apify to N8N to create larger workflows and use it as modules. The initial setup of Apify was very simple, making it easy to get started.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

Pricing is VERY expensive

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Apify because scrapers are very hard to upkeep, and Apify manages that for us.

 ### 38. Powerful Automation for Job Hunting Despite Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naveen J. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Apify?**

Apify's 3,000+ pre-built Actors and automatic infrastructure management eliminated 90% of my scraping costs while scaling from 2M to 5M pages daily with zero server maintenance.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

The credit-based pricing is confusing and caused unexpected overcharges; debugging cloud failures is difficult without technical skills, and pre-built Actors can become unreliable over time.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated job board monitoring that previously took 5-10 hours weekly, delivering 50,000 relevant postings to Google Sheets for $60. It is 10x cheaper than manual research. Increased data success rates from 80% to 98% while cutting processing time by 93%.

 ### 39. Crazy-Easy Scraping, But Limited Modular Agentic Workflows

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

It doesnt have much for modular agentic workflows(as far as i know)

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the need to manually get a bunch of workarounds, many workflows, etc into a singular platform, and it helps us implement applications on that data layer

 ### 40. Apify Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge M. | Presales Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Apify?**

Apify is a robust and scalable platform for automating web scraping and browser-based workflows. It excels in handling large-scale data extraction tasks, offering cloud execution, scheduling, and proxy management built in. While it delivers strong performance and flexibility, its usability can be somewhat technical—users with limited coding experience may face a steeper learning curve. In sum, for teams needing reliable automation and data gathering at scale, Apify is a strong choice—though for simpler, one-off tasks or fully no-code users, a lighter tool might be more suitable.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

I don’t like that Apify can be a bit complex for beginners and that costs increase quickly with larger projects.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Get websites information

 ### 41. Versatile with Room for Proxy Improvement

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

Proxy costs are noticeable but manageable.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify helps automate Facebook groups data collection for my marketplace aggregator project. Instead of manually checking hundreds of groups daily, I can scrape 640+ groups automatically overnight. This saves enormous time and enables building a product that aggregates listings from multiple Facebook marketplace groups into one platform.

 ### 43. My apify experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Apify?**

The variety of tasks and actors available for scraping information from the web is incredible. It might be a bit difficult to understand at first, but once you get the hang of it, you're good to go. You can basically get any information you want, and there’s a task or actor for everything.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

I just wish there was a plan that allowed you to load credits and use them instead of the current subscription model.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building a system to gather information for outreach, I use LinkedIn to scrape data and even website crawlers to collect details about the owner and their business. This helps me create personalized emails where I can offer my services.

High-Security or Tightly Regulated Websites
Challenges:
Government websites with strict access controls
Financial platforms with advanced bot detection
Healthcare databases with stringent privacy measures
Risks: Potential legal and technical barriers to data extraction
Extremely Dynamic, Frequently Changing Websites
Problematic for:
Websites with complex, frequently rotating JavaScript-rendered content
Platforms with aggressive anti-scraping technologies
Sites that use advanced CAPTCHA or machine learning-based bot detection
Overengineered for:
Single, simple webpage data extraction
Minimal data collection needs
Personal or hobby-level research projects
Recommendation: Use simpler tools like BeautifulSoup or direct API calls

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was using Apify to extract comprehensive data from multiple social media and e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Facebook, and Instagram. Primarily, the tool enabled sophisticated research initiatives focused on product intelligence and sentiment analysis. By leveraging Apify's web scraping and data extraction capabilities, our team could systematically gather nuanced insights about market trends, consumer perceptions, and competitive landscapes. The platform allowed us to collect detailed information about product reviews, customer comments, engagement metrics, and brand interactions across different digital ecosystems. This data-driven approach empowered our strategic decision-making processes, helping us understand consumer behaviors, identify emerging market opportunities, and develop more targeted marketing and product development strategies.

 ### 45. Powerful scraping tool with great automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Apify?**

I really like how Apify handles complex, JavaScript-heavy sites with ease thanks to its headless browser support and robust scheduling features. The marketplace of prebuilt actors saved me time on standard tasks, and the ability to automate daily runs and push results to Google Sheets or APIs made it easy to integrate with our workflows. Proxy rotation and the flexibility to write fully custom scraping logic in Node.js really help when dealing with more challenging targets, making it a reliable choice for serious data collection projects.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

While powerful, Apify can be quite expensive at scale if you're running many scrapes or need residential proxies. There's also a steep learning curve for building custom actors, as it requires solid JavaScript knowledge. Some of the marketplace actors can be outdated or break if the target site's structure changes, so you need to monitor and maintain your scrapers regularly. Better low-code options and native integrations with more CRMs or BI tools would make it even more accessible for non-technical users.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify helps us automate data extraction and lead mining from complex, JavaScript-heavy websites that would be impossible to handle manually. It saves significant time and reduces errors by running scheduled scrapes and pushing clean data to our internal dashboards. This enables our team to focus on analysis and outreach instead of tedious copy-paste work, improving efficiency and scaling our lead generation.

 ### 46. Versatile Web Scraping Made Easy with Quick Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Apify?**

I really like that if I need to scrape a website or something more complicated, I can go in here and find an actor that works well and set it up very quickly. It can be used on the web interface or through an API.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

You have to pay for each actor, and the pricing is all over the place because individual providers set it. It takes a bit of time to figure out what makes the most sense for you.

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify is solving the problem that in order to scrape multiple different websites, you need to spend quite a bit of time on tooling and figuring out how to do it. So if you need that data collection, this can save you a lot of time.

 ### 47. Apify allowed us to solve a challenging problem, including direct access to the developer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Don R. | Director Product Management, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Apify?**

Apify allowed us to get access to an entire database which was otherwise inaccessible other than record by record, query by query. For a small investment in time and money, we captured data which would have cost 10-20X elsewhere. We also had direct access to the developer who was willing to make updates quickly based on our requirements. This ended up being the fastest, simplest method to secure the entire database results vs. any other option.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

For users unfamiliar with APIs, or the end data source, its interface can require finessing to get your desired results

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify allowed us to secure a database at scale to solve for a variety of use cases, including lead gen, account verification / validation, and business intelligence analysis.

 ### 49. Reliable scrapers with smooth webhook delivery

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheanne C. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Apify?**

Apify’s Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube scrapers are fast, reliable, and easy to integrate. There are multiple options for payload delivery. The best part is the event-based webhook delivery which allows me to trigger certain actions based on events. It fits perfectly into an event-driven pipeline.

**What do you dislike about Apify?**

At higher volumes the costs can stack up, and some integrations could use clearer documentation. It would also be helpful to get schema for payload (which fields are nullable or optional).

**What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apify automates data collection from platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, which saves me from building and maintaining custom scrapers.
