## Ignition Reviews
 ### 1. All-in-One System That Simplifies Proposals, Engagement Letters, and Invoicing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela K. | Business Owner & Registered BAS Agent, Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

That it is an "all-in-one" system. I no longer need to use separate systems to get engagement letters sent, get invoices paid and send proposals

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

The cost :-)
They say that you get what you pay for, but I would like the pricing to be a bit more affordable

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping with compliance and getting my invoices paid

 ### 2. Streamlined Client Onboarding with Professional Ease

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven R. | Project Manager

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

I love that Ignition handles everything from the first proposal through to payment in one clean professional flow, which removes a huge amount of manual admin from my day-to-day tasks. It integrates seamlessly with the tools I already use, so I don't have to replace any of our systems, just enhances them. The platform feels purpose-built for professional services rather than a generic invoicing tool. The time saved, the professionalism it brings, and the consistency it creates make it one of the best tools I use.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

So there's some upfront effort in setting it up properly, but the payoff is absolutely worth it.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ignition for proposals, billing, and client onboarding, making the whole process seamless and professional. It integrates with my tools without replacing them, reducing manual admin and saving time while enhancing professionalism and consistency.

 ### 3. Seamless AI-Powered Invoicing and Proposals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandra K. | CEO, Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

I love that Ignition is an AI-driven company using AI insights for pricing. The AI tools are super helpful for developing proposals and collecting payments. I like that their software is very smooth and works very well without glitches. They're always improving the software, which is great. I also find it amazing that Ignition helps me stay organized with the services I'm offering, including the descriptions of those services. It solves multiple problems for our firm efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

The integrations between Ignition and QuickBooks, and Ignition and Karbon can definitely be improved.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ignition for all my proposals and MRR invoicing. Ignition's AI tools help me develop pricing, collect payments, and create automated monthly invoices. It keeps me organized with my services and their descriptions.

 ### 4. Transforms Client Engagements with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle V.

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

I like the way we can customize agreements, send them to clients, and have automatic reminders sent when they do not respond. Ignition makes it easier to remember to follow up once an Engagement Letter is sent, as it helps bring the reminder to the top of the clients' inbox. The initial setup was easy, and it has been good to implement new clients and sync with QBO.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

I would like to be able to send change orders more seamlessly as amendments to current agreements. This would treat the document as more of a live document rather than having it be a signature that they have to sign each time. I would also like the ability for it to auto sign after a certain date and time and it be known to the client this will happen.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ignition keeps client history, eases yearly fee increases, and lets us customize agreements. It automatically reminds clients about engagement letters, which is huge for follow-ups.

 ### 5. Great Support but Pricey

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma J. | Administrative Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

I find the support staff extremely helpful. They helped us set up all of our templates and continued reaching out after we were onboarded to continue helping where needed. They assist significantly with the creation of templates and understanding how the automated payment side of Ignition works. If something isn't working the way we think it should, they are very quick to respond and jump on a call to figure out the issue. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy as Ignition did all of it for us.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

It is extremely expensive, and truly that is the only downside.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ignition for sending proposals and collecting payments. It solves the payment collection problem by handling payments upfront and securely storing payment methods for future use.

 ### 6. Game changer for Cash Flow & Client Engagements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kayleigh L. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

The best thing about Ignition is automated payments & engagements. I used to struggle with anxiety around sending invoices to clients and would often lose income due to out of scope work. Now, I can send invoices under the direct debit agreements that are already signed by clients with full fee breakdowns. No more written off time & no more wasting afternoons second guessing the pricing. It's easy to use and more than worth the fees. Customer support is also amazing.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

The only downside is I wish the Forms could be customised better so that I could send checklists to clients through Ignition as well. I use conditional formatting with Google Forms to send Checklists for Tax Returns. If Ignition's Form templates had conditional formatting and more features then it would be great to send checklists through here and have it linked to each clients file.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cash Flow issues & work flow management. With up front deposits on my engagements, clients don't sign until they are actually ready to start the work - which means I no longer have 100 projects in progress that are waiting months for information from clients.

 ### 7. Easy-to-Use Templates for Pricing and Scope of Work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mia S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

I like the templates for pricing/scope of work and ease of use. It was easy to integrate with Quickbooks and accept payments. I like the projections of how much I'm making with my recurring revenue and it's MUCH better than using Quickbooks. Pricing for cc and ACH fees are less than Quickbooks as well. Customer support was very quick to respond with any questions I have, and even create Loom videos when I don't understand something.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

There is a small learning curve on how to build in customized scopes.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping with automated payments, quick scope to close with clients instead of manually initiating the signature process, and improves the client experience.

 ### 8. Effortless Proposal Creation and Streamlined Collections

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael J. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Super easy to build proposals and it makes collections a breeze!

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

I wish I had a little more customization for the pricing options for my packages. The way I bill is a little funky and I sometimes have unique requests from clients.

Overall, though. it's pretty great.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes collectinos so much easier. That was the main reason I signed up and it's helped a ton.

 ### 9. Easy-to-Use Collaboration That Scales for High Client Volumes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Team collaboration, ability to handle large volume of clients, easy to use

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

Unable to pull a list of emails that have bounced

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to send a high volume of proposals to clients in a short amount of time has made our services clearer for them and has also strengthened collaboration within our team.

 ### 10. Customizable and Easy to Use, Needs Better CRM Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim L.

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

I appreciate Ignition's modular design and how easy it is to make changes. It's particularly beneficial when I'm sending out contracts to potential clients because I can customize each contract to suit the client's individual needs seamlessly. Additionally, the initial setup of Ignition was very easy, which allowed me to start using it without any hassles. These aspects make Ignition a valuable tool in my workflow. My positive experience with Ignition is reflected in my willingness to highly recommend it to others, as shown by the fact that I would rate it a ten in terms of likelihood to recommend.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

CRM integration.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ignition for sending customized contracts, suiting each client's needs, and benefiting from its modular design that makes changes easy.

 ### 11. User-Friendly Platform with Outstanding Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph G. | Senior Manager Business Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

The website is very user friendly, and the customer service is absolutely first rate. I can generate proposals in a couple of minutes that used to take considerably longer.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

I have not run into any issues yet. No problems here.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main issue we had was using different systems to create proposals and to provide a means of payment. The process in Ignition is seamless, and we can control clients' access to our system, insuring payment is made first.

 ### 12. Streamlined Proposals and Automated Payments That Just Work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prokeep A. | Bookkeeping, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

feature to send proposal, take automated money, & charge for adhoc

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

the charges were really high. Limited option due to high charges

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Proposal, scoping the project, invoice automation, ability to charge for adhoc work

 ### 13. Boosts Billing Efficiency but Pricing Concerns

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trayde M. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

I really like Ignition's attention to detail, which stands out for me. The usability and the modern appeal of the software help my firm easily identify issues in our proposals. I also appreciate the great integration with Xero, which enhances the overall functionality.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

The pricing makes it hard to use. The monthly subscription is significant, and their own payment methods are more than the going average for competitors.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ignition handles billing for my firm and reduces overdue invoices.

 ### 14. Ignition Saves Time and Money

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa C. | Owner, Senior Bookkeeper, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Ignition has streamlined my proposals and A/R. This has saved me so much time! It has also saved me money on my processing fees.

Implementation was 10/10. My rep, Richard, was amazing and I can still reach out to him if I have questions. He really made sure to walk me through all of the software so I understood it and could use all the features available.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

There are a few quirks to learn but nothing that I dislike

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to process my proposals and contacts much faster. Since clients have to enter their payment method upfront, I am no longer chasing down invoices.

 ### 15. Enhances Proposal Workflow, Needs Better Data Access

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corbin H. | Partner

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

I like Ignition because of its usability and the way it integrates with other tools. It integrates smoothly with our CRM, making it easy to click through from the client's side. The initial setup was pretty easy too.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

It's harder to track data. The level of data they have or give us access to is fairly limited.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ignition standardizes products and services, allowing us to send proposals faster.

 ### 16. Exceptional product and I can't wait for the latest features that are about to be released.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadia B. | Practice administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Creating the proposals are easy, and the syncing of client data is Great.
The fact that I can save my templates/proposal, duplicate etc, makes it very user friendly.

I absolutely love using the product.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

I would like the approval function to be made available on all packages.
Payments are not available in my country, so at least other perks would be nice without having to pay that extra or upgrade the package.

If a proposal is created, and the service library was updated subsequently, I would like a notification that the proposal is not linked to the updated version of the service library.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us specify the services offered, line by line, to avoid any confusion with the client. It is great that we can show the discount offered per service, which makes everything clearer for the customer as well.

 ### 17. Good tool to track contracts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arta G. | Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

What I like best about Ignition is how it streamlines client engagement and billing into one efficient platform. It eliminates the manual back-and-forth typically involved in sending proposals, collecting signatures, and setting up payments. I particularly appreciate the automated workflows — from onboarding to recurring billing — which save time, reduce errors, and ensure a smooth, professional client experience.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

I’m still fairly new to using Ignition, so I’m in the process of learning all its features. So far, I really like how it brings proposals, client onboarding, and payments into one place. If I had to mention something I find a bit challenging, it would be just getting used to the different sections and understanding how to fully customize the proposals. But I see that it’s a very capable tool, and I’m confident that with a bit more time and experience, I’ll be able to use it more effectively.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keep track of all Contracts

 ### 18. Highly Customizable and User-Friendly with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

It is very customizable and user friendly. Customer support is quick to answer questions. So far there has been no problems with syncing to other apps like Quickbooks Online.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

The only complaint at this point would be the inability to delete/write off invoices that have been sent. This causes a variance in reporting from Ignition to actual Accounts Receivables

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ignition helps to ensure clients know exactly what services they are getting and how much it will cost. This in tern also helps internal processes when it comes to billing and scope creep possibilities.

 ### 19. A Game-Changer for Streamlining Client Engagement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

The Ignition App has been a fantastic addition to my workflow. What stands out most is how it consolidates and simplifies the entire engagement process—from onboarding to quoting and invoicing—all in one platform.

Before using Ignition, managing proposals, client agreements, and billing felt like juggling multiple tools and emails. Now, everything is centralized, saving me a significant amount of time and reducing the risk of errors or missed steps. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, and the automation features help ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

The current forms functionality is helpful, but it could be much more dynamic. For example, if a client indicates they have a company, it would be great if the form could automatically expand to ask entity-specific questions. More conditional logic and customization options would make the forms far more versatile and client-friendly.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest advantages is how it simplifies the entire engagement lifecycle. From the moment a proposal is sent to when the invoice is paid, administrative interactions are kept to a minimum. It’s a huge win for productivity.

 ### 20. Great overall

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karma M. | Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Customer support is top-notch! The implementation of new features is smooth and very well handled. I use it daily to keep track of proposals and clients. Love the feature that alerts us whenever a new lead signs the contract.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

No glaring feature so far. There is definitely a learning curve when making proposals, but nothing a few practices couldn't improve.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of the leads and clients, the revenue, and which coach or manager the client belongs to. All client details are easily accessible via the search button (a quick access/shortcut). There are a lot of different filters/views which are very helpful when we're trying to look through our clients.

 ### 21. No More chasing money!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felecia D. | Owner/President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

It automates proposals, payments, and engagement letters in one platform, saving me time and ensuring everything stays professional and compliant. As a solo practitioner, I especially appreciate how it improves cash flow by getting client buy-in upfront, and I am no longer chasing my clients for payments. Ignition does all this for me. It's like having an extra admin person in my office without having to hire and train.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

For solo practitioners or small firms, Ignition’s cost can feel steep, especially if they’re not using all the features or managing a large client base.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It automates proposals, payments, and engagement letters all in one platform!

 ### 22. Seamless tool that has become invaluable to my business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Briony C. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

This tool is so great and seamless with the rest of my business set up that it feels like I've been using it forever. It is really easy to use, the people who work at Ignition are super helpful and it works really well. It was easy to set up and I can create a proposal for a client in less than 5 minutes.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

Not much to dislike to be honest! Like all tools - could be cheaper.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No need to chase up invoices, it all works in the background and all I need to do is see the money roll in.

 ### 23. Simple & Efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James R. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

At our agency, we've tried various platforms for payments, proposals, and client services, but after working with Ignition, we truly feel it's the perfect fit for us. It's easy to use, streamlines our quoting process, and makes client interactions much more efficient. I highly recommend it to any business looking to simplify and elevate their workflow.

BTW, the customer service is top notch, our account replies within a day to any inquiries our team has.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

The cost of using it and commitions is a little bit hight

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Payment procesing.

 ### 24. An Epic Upgrade For Client Onboarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim L. | Co-Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Ignition has completely transformed how we onboard clients and manage revenue. The ability for clients to view and sign agreements from their phone makes the process fast, professional, and seamless. It’s saved us time, improved the client experience, and made cash flow more predictable. Everything feels integrated and easy

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

There’s a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, especially when setting up templates and there are some limitations here (the team are working on them though). Once it’s dialed in, though, it runs smoothly. Some customization options could be more flexible - but overall, it’s a solid platform that keeps improving.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ignition has solved the headache of manual proposals, delayed sign-offs, and chasing payments. It brings proposals, agreements, and billing into one streamlined flow - so we can onboard clients faster, get paid on time, and reduce admin. It’s also created a smoother, more professional experience for our clients, which strengthens trust right from the start.

 ### 25. Revolutionized Our Firm's Cash Flow and Client Engagement Process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill S. | President/Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Ignition has transformed our firm's financial health through its robust prepayment system, significantly improving our cash flow. The platform's user interface is exceptionally clear and intuitive, resulting in minimal client confusion - we see questions from less than 0.5% of our clients. One standout feature is the ability to preview the client's view of proposals, ensuring a seamless quality controlled client experience. The platform's commitment to thoughtful, incremental improvements demonstrates their understanding of professional service firms' needs and their commitment to cater to the needs of their clients.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

The main limitations are the current lack of integration with essential CRM and project management software like CCH (though this is reportedly in development) and the inability to customize client numbers to align with our other software systems. There is also a considerable learning curve to master all the platform's features and capabilities. While Ignition takes a measured approach to implementing changes, which we appreciate, it can take time to utilize all aspects of the system entirely. However, these minor drawbacks are outweighed by the overall value the platform has provided during our four years of use.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We primarily use Ignition for managing our tax return and accounting service engagements. The platform serves as our central hub for creating and sending professional proposals, automating payment collection, and managing client engagements. We utilize it extensively for our tax season workflow, sending out annual tax return proposals, and securing prepayments for services. The system also helps us manage our ongoing client relationships and service agreements.

Ignition has solved several critical business challenges for our firm. First, it has dramatically improved our cash flow through automated prepayments, eliminating the traditional post-service collection struggles. Second, it has standardized our engagement process, reducing administrative time and ensuring consistent client communication. These improvements have allowed us to focus more on serving our clients rather than managing administrative tasks and collections.

 ### 26. Ignition has made our client onboarding, proposals, and payments so much easier.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Navdeep K. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

It integrates perfectly with Xero, looks professional, and saves us heaps of time. Support is excellent too. Highly recommend for any accounting practice!

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

nothing as such noteworthy, just a bit pricier

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ignition solves the hassle of chasing signed engagement letters, manual invoicing, and payment follow-ups. It automates our proposals, billing, and client onboarding — saving us hours each week and reducing admin errors. Clients sign and pay faster, and our cash flow has improved because everything is streamlined and professional from the start.

 ### 27. Ignition Works for Me

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Savannah V. | Corporate Secretary/Virtual Office Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

I can send proposals (with automatic reminders sent to prospective clients), set up automatic invoices, be notified when payment methods fail or will expire, and export helpful information. Ignition integrates with Quickbooks Online, as well. Ignition has become basically our entire AR arm. We rely on it, and it basically runs in the background every day.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

They work to improve the platform almost constantly, and I am not a huge fan of change...but some of the changes that they have made are HUGELY helpful (processing fee collection, etc).

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounts receivable/collections! Proposal acceptance/sending. Invoice generation.

 ### 28. Effortless and Stress-Free Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grant P. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

It's easy to use and takes away stress from me.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

I have not learned everything I need to know.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monthly Recuring Revenue

 ### 29. Ignition makes it easy to get paid

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deborah H. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Ignition makes it easy for us to set up our most common services and initiate a proposal for our clients. When they see it and hear from us via our video from within the proposal, it reduces the time to acceptance... and of course having clients accept and pay at the same time means we have no delay in collecting.

The ability to customise, template, change payment terms all at the click of a button keeps our business flexible enough to accommodate the cash flow needs of our clients.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

I wish we could apply multiple templates. For example, if I set up a group of services, it would be good if I could add another group of services without having to add them one by one.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rapid turnaround of proposals, collect signatures required for compliance, processes the payments readily and gets our contracts off on the right foot.

 ### 30. Simple, user friendly, aesthetic, great customer support, AND insanely efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saxon B. | Director/Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Ignition is a fantastic platform. I love Ignition for the simplicity of creating new proposals, the awesome looking branding, the super affordable automatic payment system, and just the general UI of the platform. I have been using Ignition for quite some time now for my Social Media Marketing Agency, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to systemise their proposals, contracts, and payment collections (or even adhoc work).

Implementing Ignition into my business was insanely easy, and it is so simple to make changes on the fly. I use Ignition for every single new client in our Agency.

On top of this, the customer support is exceptional. Any questions or issues I have had, I get immediate responses from my own personal support rep, Sam Larkins. Sam is awesome. Brendan is also a legend.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

The only issue with Ignition is the lack of international currency integration. As our Agency services the US also, we need to charge in USD, which Ignition does not provide as of yet for Australian businesses. However, Ignition is that clean and simple, that we just send proposals through Ignition for US clients, then use Stripe to take payments seperately. So still useful.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Systemising contract signing and automatic payment processing. Allowing us to forget about invoicing and chasing payments. Also providing new clients with a simple way to sign up

 ### 31. The Easiest Proposal Platform

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

I love the Ignition Platform and use it almost every day at work. It is incredibly user friendly, and allows me to prepare client-ready proposals in a matter of minutes. The platform is extremely customisable to the needs of me and my clients.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

I wish Ignition had stronger integration capabilities with Xero Practice Manager.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ignition is providing a convenient and user-friendly way for our business to draft and send finalised proposals to clients, and allow clients to accept these proposals.

 ### 32. Helps me keep my client engagement up to date

THe update to various services are not updated to always include latest best practice.

 ### 33. User friendly, professional, efficient and best support!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joey C. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

My Account Manager is the best! He regularly checks in with me to see if I need any help. And every time I have questions, he always provides prompt and professional solutions and suggestions. Although I may ask repeat questions, he is very patient. You know sending out the first proposal was a lot for me. But he supported me the entire journey until we celebrate together! I really love this level of technical and emotional support!

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

I wouldn't say 'dislike'. I wish Ignition supports multicurrency, or at least USD. Even though I'm a Canadian company, I want to charge USD as my clients are global. I think Ignition uses Stripe. I can charge USD directly in Stripe. If I can charge USD in Ignition, that would be awesome.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Professional-looking proposals and automatic payment process which saves me time to chase for payment.

 ### 34. User Friendly for the practice and the client!

I appreciate how helpful the support is and that the chat feature is available for urgent questions. Guided instructional videos are often sent when an answer needs more clarity.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

So far, I haven't experienced issues. Thank you for making helpful changes such as being able to mark invoices as paid outside of Ignition.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ignition is allowing us to keep track of proposals and accounts receivable in a straightforward way.

 ### 36. Proposal Management, Billing & Merchant Services have never been better

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

The cost is a little bit much for a small business like mine.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounts receivable will be non-existent. Smooth billing.

 ### 38. Ignition has changed the game

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katrina B. | Administrative Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Ignition has seamlessly allowed us to streamline our client base, by explicitly listing out services, customizing service terms and verbiage, and tailoring billing based on client need. We have seen tremendous growth in our clients' willingness to utilize digital platforms since implementing the digital service proposal and automated billing, and the software has only improved since we started using it. Renewals are easy, bulk creation is amazing, and customization is outstanding and ever-improving.

We have also been impressed with the customer service and customer success side of Ignition. We have worked with truly wonderful, brilliant folks who have provided great insights, workarounds, and brainstormed ideas for future updates.

Overall, it's a great platform that I have loved using and am happy to work with every day.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

The only things I wish could improve about Ignition are:
1) We can't integrate our billing with QuickBooks, so tracking payments for reconciliation each month is challenging, but that is also an issue with integrating our other software, so....work in progress for tracking things.

2) It would be amazing to have the ability to add a service and update billing within a 12-month proposal window. We have slight adjustments from time to time where it would be nice to be able to add something without doing a full renewal, especially if it was originally an "add-on" service in the proposal.

3) I have had a few instances now where we have sent the exact same proposal in bulk (for an annual process like 1099 filings), and it would have been amazing to mark the unaccepted proposals as "lost," in bulk, rather than individually.

4) I will say that there is quite a learning curve when learning to use and administer the software. I am still one of the only people in my office that can confidently use the software without issues, and I still make silly mistakes (not changing the billing to "proposal start," missing the billing cadence, etc.).

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining client billing and explicitly listing services and terms. This is especially helpful with annual processes like BOI or 1099s, but we use the 12-month service proposal and automated billing for about 25% of our clients currently.

 ### 39. Superb Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian v. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Ignition has an intuitive user interface, a comprehensive suite of services, and attentive customer service. The onboarding process was smoothly executed and facilitated.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

There are no downsides that I can see to using Ignition.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The feature to autodebit ACH payments from clients is ideal for supporting positive cash flow.

 ### 40. A Secret Weapon for Small Consulting Businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor R. | Owner/Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Ease of Use - I find Ignition very easy to use. The setup is intuitive and the step-by-step workflow of setting up a new proposal ensures you don't miss anything.

Customer Support - Ignition has robust documentation online. You're also assigned an account manager that checks in regularly, and helps with initial implementation. If you like trainings, they also host monthly webinars about all sorts of topics related to using the software.

Features - What drew me to Ignition was the combo of proposal signing + invoicing with a solid Quickbooks integration. I tried about 20 other tools (not exaggerating!) and none compared to Ignition. I love that you can set up complex billing workflows (deposit, recurring, pay-on-completion) within the same proposal, and they recently added optional services to proposals so you can upsell. The branded portal looks clean and I think it impresses clients. You can create a library of commonly used services or create custom services for each proposal.

Ease of Implementation - Ignition is easy to set up. You mainly just need to set up your Quickbooks (or Xero) integrations and Ignition payments if you're using that.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

Aesthetics - Ignition was originally designed for bookkeepers/accountants, and you can kind of tell. Unlike other tools, there's not much in the way of designing your proposals. I run a marketing agency and looks are important to us, so we upload our designed PDF proposal to the "brochure" section of the Ignition proposal. This works well enough but I wish Ignition had a way to design proposals within the tool, or at least didn't call that section "brochure." The online portal is very aesthetically pleasing but if someone exports a PDF of the Ignition proposal, it's pretty unattractive.

One-off billing - There are two main options in Ignition: proposals + invoices, and "instant bill." With the first one, someone has to sign an agreement and then they're invoiced accordingly. With instant bill, no agreement is required but they also can't approve the invoice - it literally just charges their account on file. I would love a third option where you can invoice without an agreement, BUT people can approve the invoice before it's paid. Right now these are more rare for us, so we just run them straight through QBO.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ignition helps us make sure that we get paid quickly. As a small business owner, billing can be time consuming, and I love that once a contract is signed, we know the billing will happen without us even thinking about it. Because we use Ignition payments, the money literally appears in our account like magic.

 ### 41. Easy to use and just as easy to teach

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

All reports are easy to find and download.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

I work with Ignition through my clients as their bookkeeper. So far, I have not found anything I didn't like.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ignition works better with QBO; other payment processing systems were consistently causing issues.

 ### 42. Extremely easy to setup and use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike S. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

As a new startup firm we wanted to get our tech stack right from the outset. We were immediately impressed with ignition through the initial presentation, through the trial period and straight into operation. Customising the templates to suit our firm was very easy and any queries were handled expeditiously via the help options. Our clients have also been impressed with the ease of use and how Ignition ties into the rest of our contact apps. We were also impressed with the automatic rollout of changes to the engagement letter as the CAANZ template was updated.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

Have no hesitation recommending Ignition. It has enabled us to concentrate on client engagement without spending a lot of time in administration.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation of client enagement is seamless. We have removed accounts receivable from our system and it has helped significantly address scope creep.

 ### 43. The best tool for proposal and package consistency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dawn R. | Owner/President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

I started using Ignition a year ago, and now we're at about 90% of our clients payment and proposals are managed in the App. Having the same database for package components and pricing available for each proposal I create, has saved me so much time!

I can sometimes find myself busy and make errors of omission - such as offboarding and canceling the monthly billing receipt, but forgeting to cancel the payment processing. These headaches keep getting fewer and fewer because I've moved over to Ignition. When a client cancels, the payment and the billing are all connected and can be stopped with the click of one button. The in-app support is amazing, and my rep is very responsive.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

All payment processing fees are handled end of month in my billing, rather than with an automatic withdrawal from my bank when I receive the payment. This is not a big issue at all, just a change in the way I see my expenses related to payment processing.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consistent and quick process to quote a new potential client, and easy to renew with existing clients.

 ### 44. We love Ignition!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie L. | President and CPA, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

We've been using Ignition for our proposal and payment processing needs for 2 years, and it's been a game-changer for our firm. The software helps bring consistency to our engagement letters, services, and pricing and it ensures we have clear expectations with our clients from the start. We particularly appreciate the option to require payment upon signing, which streamlines our operations and improves cash flow.

Ignition has also helped us stay more compliant by ensuring we have signed engagement letters on file, a crucial aspect of our work. The software is user-friendly, making it easy for our team to navigate and manage our processes efficiently. On top of all that, their customer support is top-notch—always responsive and helpful when we need them.

If you're looking for a reliable and efficient solution for proposals and payment processing, Ignition is the way to go!

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

We wish the software allowed for multiple signatures on engagement letters so we could add pages that require a separate signature, such as a Form 7216. We also wish the client could deny/reject a proposal themselves, so we don't have to keep following up if they don't want to engage us.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compliance - more accurate engagement letters on file for every service. Payment processing - automatically reminding clients on our behalf and requiring payment up front for our services, which improves cash flow.

 ### 45. Saves me heaps of time and headaches

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Donnie B. | Xero Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

The workflow of proposal, acceptance, payment and debtors is amazing, plus the options of adding a video, links to external documents and pages is perfect for the sales process.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

There could be more CRM functions, which I think are underway.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to use Xero, google drive, and stripe, it worked but had risks and ineffiencies.

 ### 46. All round efficient and streamlined experience for the user and client

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Integration with Xero to push work jobs across, set and forget direct debit for monthly fees, re-usable services modules, ability to offer options that the client can select.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

It doesn't look amazing for the purposes of a nice-looking proposal

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlines our end of year rollover process for annual enagements.

 ### 47. Solid Product for Engagement Letters & Invoicing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Ignition is very flexible in both creating templated proposals and allowing for unique proposals. The process is smooth and allows for generating a proposal in less than five minutes.

It's ability to collect upfront has virtually eliminated accounts receivable.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

It's communication with QBO isn't strong. I need to have ignition open to see who is paying. It does add extra steps.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounts Receivable and reminding prospects of proposal.

 ### 48. Customer Service Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea B. | Client Service, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

The support representative, Iwas not only knowledgeable but also incredibly patient in explaining the solution to my problem. They took the time to listen carefully, ensuring they fully understood my concern before offering tailored advice.

Not only was the issue resolved in record time, but the level of care and attention I received made me feel like a valued customer. It’s rare to encounter such dedicated, efficient, and friendly support, and it really speaks volumes about Ignition’s commitment to customer satisfaction.

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

Nothing. I truly appreciate the software.

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rejected payments and understanding of why and how to re-process

 ### 49. A game changer for any business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabella C. | Digital Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Since migrating our proposals and invoicing to Ignition, we haven't looked back. The functionalities just work so effortlessly and makes day to day tasks so simple. The implementation had it's teething problems like all migrations but there wasn't a moment that the team weren't there to support us and guide us through. The integration with Xero is seamless and instant. We couldn't shout about Ignition any more than we do!

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

That we didn't implement it sooner!!!!!!

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Setting up Direct Debits for our clients has been a game changer and makes aged debtors so much more manageable. Also having digital proposals which are personalised to each client just makes the process quick and easy compared to our PDF we edited previously (which was open to human error!).

 ### 50. Very Professional and Time Saving

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caroline C. | Practise Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Ignition?**

Ignition is very easy to use and well presented. Once templates and services have been set up, it makes the whole proposal process very easy. Being able to view the proposal from the clients perspective is great and it's very easy to make any changes before it is sent. Receiving payments is effortless, invoices are produced automatically in Xero and reconciled. The process for requesting bank information, re-requesting payments that have been declined and updated information is so simple, usually just one click of a button!

**What do you dislike about Ignition?**

There's not many! My main bug bear is that the list of payments that have been received in one transaction are in date order and not in alphabetical order. That's not really a big issue though!

**What problems is Ignition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have no problems with Ignition
