**What do you like best about 17hats?**

I love that I can keep all of my design client, project, invoicing, to-do lists, files, and notes in one place. 17hats allows me to open one software in the morning, reply to emails, send quotes (automatically, if I have that set up), and even save final files within one software. It's more than a CRM, it's a lifesaver! I'm a one-woman graphic design & marketing operation, and this keeps me organized. I know what stage each project is in (gathering info, proofing, production, etc) and whether someone has approved designs or paid project invoices. At the end of the tax year, I can tally up my numbers and run a report. Any troubles, and customer support is right on it. They are a fantastic company.

**What do you dislike about 17hats?**

17hats has more features that I use, but that's not such a bad thing. I can learn them when I need them.

**What problems is 17hats solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a "paper all over the desk" type of person. 17hats eliminates the lost paper shuffle and keeps me organized.

**What do you like best about 17hats?**

One of the things I love most is the ability to capture leads and integrate with my website. I appreciate being able to customize and collect necessary information. Automation adds contacts to my list for easy follow-up, quotes, through invoicing and delivery. I also have taken advantage of integrations to link my customer online ordering and scheduling. Another plus for me: the support team is amazing! They patiently answer questions and help work through customizations specific to my business. Overall, 17hats has been a game-changer for organization and daily operations.

**What do you dislike about 17hats?**

I dislike only that I don't know enough! There are so many features and I don't take full advantage...yet! It is a work in progress!

**What problems is 17hats solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lead capture and invoicing are the two main areas where I've found solutions for my business. Previously I would collect data to a spreadsheet (Meta Ads results) and then have to manually track them in Google Sheets (or worse, on paper!). Things often slipped through the cracks and if I took notes about a project there was no great way to keep track. Now every lead is populated directly to 17hats, a list of all new contacts appears on my dashboard and I can set up workflows like welcome emails and scheduled follow up contacts. Another feature that I cannot live without is the bookkeeping and invoicing  module. I have had clients comment on my invoicing system and how professional it is. Previously, my invoices were sent in a Word document (cringe!). Now my clients get a link to view and pay, I can include file download links and customize each invoice and track product and service sales.

**What do you like best about 17hats?**

I’ve been using 17hats since 2020 — long enough to be considered a founding member — and it’s one of the best investments I’ve made in my business. As a solo PR and communications consultant, I handle everything myself, and 17hats makes that possible without the overwhelm.

I use it freqquently to send contracts, quotes and questionnaires, and the platform makes everything feel streamlined and professional. Online scheduling has saved me from endless back-and-forth emails. Clients pick a time from my availability, and 17hats seamlessly takes care of confirmations and reminders.

Invoicing is quick and polished, and I love that I can check on project statuses and payments anytime using the mobile app. It gives me peace of mind and makes it easy to stay on top of things.

**What do you dislike about 17hats?**

While I haven’t used Workflows and Pipelines as much as I’d like, I know there’s room to grow with the platform. I appreciate that 17hats is flexible enough to meet me where I am.

Sometimes a bank account stops syncing with 17hats' bookkeeping feature, but that seems to be a problem with the bank, not 17hats. And 17hats' customer suport folks have been incredibly helpful getting the account reconnected.

**What problems is 17hats solving and how is that benefiting you?**

17hats takes the chaos out of running a solo business. Before using it, I was juggling contracts, invoices, scheduling and client communication across multiple platforms. That was time-consuming and stressful. Now, everything is in one place. I can send quotes, get contracts signed, schedule meetings, invoice clients, and track project status without the back-and-forth.

**What do you like best about 17hats?**

I was looking for a software that would help me connect the dots between customers, communication, customer financials, sales, etc. I had been using several other software products but everything always cost more. With 17hats I pay one price and I get everything I want and need for my small business. As a photographer who is busy and needs to spend my time working on photography, I need a software that helps me get things done and manage things daily. 17hats does it.

**What do you dislike about 17hats?**

With the large amount that 17hats offers, there are a lot of details to learn. So it can take a little while to get up and running. But, they do have people available to help.

**What problems is 17hats solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CRM - keeping track of customers, customer documents, contracts, invoices, etc. Everything is there in one system.
Leads - I can add in leads and create a set of automated follow ups to help them make a decision.
Pipeline - I can add prospects into the pipeline and work toward building new business
Financials - I am able to track my business financials across a range of accounts and know my profit and loss and other details. Makes it much easier when dealing with taxes, etc.

**What do you like best about 17hats?**

I'm a portrait photographer, so the first tool I bought was image cataloging and editing software. Immediately thereafter, I bought 17hats to actually run my business. I didn't start slowly either - I jumped right in with both feet! Everything was so much easier once I started using it - I had a system to capture leads, I responded to them automatically, I had workflows to remind me of my next steps. Of course, I tweak my emails and my workflows as my business grows and changes, but it's so easy! I use new features as 17hats adds them. If I have questions, I get great answers from support. I love the integration with other software programs I use like ProSelect, Fundy, Zapier MailerLite, Zoom, and QuickBooks. Honestly, 17hats is my business hub - I am always logged in and use it absolutely every day.

I have found ways to do everything I need to do. So.... maybe I have too much time to drink coffee???

I’ve been using 17hats for nearly 10 years, and my photo/video business quite literally runs on it. From invoicing and contracts to scheduling and client management, it keeps everything streamlined and professional.

The biggest value for me is peace of mind everything I need to keep my business organized lives in one place, and I don’t have to juggle multiple platforms. It saves time, reduces errors, and makes me look more polished to clients.

After a decade of use, I’m still happy with the service. It’s not just a tool I use; it’s the backbone of how my business operates.

Nothing really to note,  all software has things I wish were slightly different but nothing major enough to speak of

What I love most about 17hats is how it truly feels like an all-in-one business hub. From the moment an inquiry comes in, I can have a lead capture form automatically trigger the right workflow, send personalized emails, schedule consultations, and even roll straight into quotes, contracts, and invoices - all in one seamless flow. That 3-in-1 document feature (Quote, Contract, Invoice) is a game-changer for saving time and making the booking process effortless for my clients. The client portal is another favorite - it keeps everything organized in one secure place, so clients don’t have to dig through their inboxes, and I don’t waste time re-sending links or documents. Add in the Marketplace templates and I can set up systems even faster, knowing they’re tested by other professionals in my industry. It’s like having a virtual studio manager keeping me organized 24/7.

If I had to choose a “dislike,” it would be that I sometimes wish there were even more customization options in templates and reporting - but I also understand that part of 17hats’ strength is its simplicity. Instead of overwhelming me with endless settings, it’s built to get me up and running quickly, without needing a tech background. The beauty is that 17hats is constantly evolving, rolling out new Marketplace items, services, and features that make the platform stronger every year. So while I might want a little more flexibility in certain areas, I’d much rather have a system that works reliably out of the box and continues to grow with my business.

**What do you like best about 17hats?**

The first thing that got my attention was just the visual appeal and the ease of use.  I had researched a lot and as soon as I opened it up for the trial, I could tell this was the CRM for me.  I instantly felt more organized and much more professional sending branded emails, quotes, invoices and questionnaires to clients.  It boosted my confidence and gave me a way to keep track of everything in one place.

I've honestly never felt that I dislike it.  I just get frustrated with myself that I probably don't utilize all that it offers.  The people behind 17hats truly value their customers, are always pushing to grow and meet the needs of those using it.

**What problems is 17hats solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest thing it's helped me with is lead forms on my website so people can inquire about my business.  The lead forms can be so specific so I know where my clients are coming from, how they heard about me and any information I may need to get started with them.  I think it's actually my favorite feature. 

It's also helping me with gathering information about my clients so that I can write a much more personal blog post about them once their session is complete.  Plus, these questionnaires just help me get to know them better, connect with them quicker and keep it all organized in one space.

I’ve been using 17hats since 2018, and it has completely transformed the way I run my photography business. Everything is in one place, clients, invoices, contracts, quotes, and questionnaires, which makes my workflow smooth and stress-free. Automatic reminders save me from chasing payments, and workflows help me stay on top of every client process. I also love the online scheduling, which makes it so convenient for clients to book with me. It really saves me time and gives me more headspace to focus on the creative side of my business.
On top of that, customer support is always quick, friendly, and incredibly helpful whenever I’ve needed assistance.

The only small challenge for me as a UK-based user is that my bank account no longer connects automatically as it used to. It’s not a dealbreaker, but having that feature back would make things even smoother.

The platform has been a game changer for me, so it’s hard to say I “dislike” much. If anything, there are moments where I wish the interface were just a touch more modern or streamlined. But honestly, the functionality far outweighs any minor quirks, and the peace of mind it gives me in running my business makes it well worth it.

**What do you like best about 17hats?**

17hats is easy and intuitive to use. It integrates with QuickBooks Online and Stripe so that I can send an invoice from 17hats, my client can pay with a credit card (processed by Stripe), and it seamlessly shows up in QBO as a paid invoice. The workflows creating tasks on my to-do list and calender automatically based on the due date for the project and the project milestones in the workflows make staying on top of multiple projects at once a breeze. The very best thing, however, has to be the templates. It took some time to input and format my contracts and quotes into 17hats, but once I had them up and running, it made the quote-contract-invoice process automatic, with all of the client details already completed for me based on the information the client gave me during the initial inquiry. A process that took me thirty minutes manually for each client is now done for me. 17hats has automated so many of my processes that it's given me my life back!

**What do you dislike about 17hats?**

17hats is not built for every business structure or scenario. I often deal with clients who work under one company but are fairly independent with who they choose to hire for a given piece of work but where the overarching company pays the invoices. For example: attorneys at a law firm. Because 17hats isn't set up to have child and parent clients in its system, if I'm working with a law firm, the quote-contract-invoice system doesn't work when the contract is with an employee of a company and the payment comes from the company itself. I'm hopeful that 17hats will be fixing this soon!

**What problems is 17hats solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I own multiple companies and do consultant work for an additional company. I have all of my companies set up on 17hats and have convinced my other client to switch to 17hats. The ease in which I can jump into any company's 17hats account and do bookkeeping, project management, and customer relationship management is fantastic. I previously used Honeybook for my photography business and spreadsheets and to do apps for my graphic design work; my client previously used Jira to project manage, QBO for bookkeeping and invoicing, and shared mailboxes in Outlook for customer service. Since setting myself up with 17hats, I've been able to cut down my daily admin time by half, freeing me up to focus on creative and marketing tasks. Since setting my client up with 17hats, they've saved a TON of money over all of the other software they were using, and their customer service team has found it much easier to know where a project is in the pipeline and respond to customer inquiries because all emails are automatically logged on each project's overview page that shows where the project is in the workflow, what the due date is, and what the next step is after that. Email responses can be sent by customer service and many are templated, so frequently asked questions can be answered with three clicks and the email response logged right on the project automatically. Now, people working on a project know when the customer has been making inquiries without customer service having to write a separate email or note in Jira to relay the same information to project management.

Running a small business has so many moving pieces that you may be managing solely on your own and while you're trying to run your business, clients and customers are expecting faster responses than ever.  17hats has been helping us run the backend of our business for over 10 years and I couldn't imagine running our business without them.  One of the thing that books us the most business is clients saying, "You got back to us faster than anyone else we've reached out to" and 17hats automation helps us keep up with correspondance QUICKLY and more ACCURATELY than any other service we've tried.  Their customer support is bar none and they give back to the small business community in truly unheard of ways for a company their size.

There are so many moving pieces to 17hats, it can seem really cumbersome to initially get setup, but 17hats has such amazing customer support and an extensive community of users who are willing to help others get setup and answer questions, that there is plenty of ways to get help if you're willing to put in the work into your own systems.

**What do you like best about 17hats?**

I've been using 17hats since only November 2024 but in these short months, I've implemented and benefited from workflows that automate my day-to-day client communications.  

It is now possible for a new lead to book our services by reserving their event's a date & time, approve their quote (with add-on options), sign a contact and pay to book. 

This is not only a time saver for us but we hear from our clients that they prefer the convenience of direct booking.

Also, 17hats staff have consistently provided outstanding support; typically responding in seconds and addressing the question on the first contact.

Not so much a negative; since 17hats is packed with many amazing features (such as Lead, Online Scheduling & Pipelines) , there is much to initially learn.  Fortunately, utilizing their outstanding support, training videos and their user community there is plenty of resources to help get new subscribers quickly onboard and productive.

I can take a break from life and my business will still run itself.
I love that I do not need worry about writing new emails, contracts, questionnaires, etc every time I have a new booking.

I really love that I am able to track with clients open things, as well as if they do not complete an invoice, or other things the system automatically reminds the clients.

I can spend more time marketing, and shooting instead of babysitting admin things!

17hats was my first business investment when I got my first proper paycheck! I knew from the get-go its value. Using 17hats from the beginning helped me grow my business in the back end, streamline my onboarding processes,not only saving me time and energy but making me look super professional to those new clients, which was so important as a newbie business owner. Unlike other tools, 17hats was simple to navigate as a learner, and I didn't need to pay $$$$ for someone to come in and set it up for me. It is not often I need to reach out to 17hats' support team, because 17hats just works, but when I do, they are simply the best! You are not past around person to person, you get to really know the members of the team, and they really do care about you and your needs. 6 years in, and 17hats is part of my office furniture!

This is my first year of using 17hats and it has already simplified running my business (i.e. admin and paperwork are less time consuming) while simultaneously helping me to grow the number of leads, conversions to customers, and provide a far better and more responsive customer service. It was easy to integrate and implement 17hats into my existing business workflow and is now my go-to-daily hub to. manage my leads and customers. In addition, the customer support provided by the 17hats team and community is first class.

I really can't think of anything that I would say I dislike. There are some features that I'd like to see on the 17hats roadmap, and I'm talking with 17hats to see whether they're something that might come in future updates.

This software does so much, but the best thing it offers is a great onboarding experience for my customers. Starting with instant automated replies from my lead forms on my website, sending a quote for approval, my Terms of Service, and finally the Invoice.

This software offers bookkeeping and syncing with your bank. Initially, I was unable to sync with my bank and found it harder to use than going through QuickBooks. However, they have integrated so many features since I started using it, and they offer QuickBooks integration now, so I may need to try it again.

This software keeps all my leads, client communications and documents in one place. It creates a better user experience from the moment they come in contact with my brand and automates all the workflows that onboards them as a paying client. 17hats allows me to have all my business administrative tasks and all records and documents related to each client in one place. The best part is that most of the tasks are automated, eliminating the need to hire an assistant for those tasks.

The same way as you would train your assistant for the job you would spend some time to set up your systems the way you want them to work for you. There are many resources available to learn how to do it, including the live trainings where you can workshop your setup with a very knowledgeable team member, and the new Marketplace makes it even easier - you can download the set up you want and save time on setting things up yourself. 

Integration with my calendars and Zoom makes setting up meetings a breath - I don't have to double check for time conflicts or go back and forth with the Zoom links. It all happens automatically. 

Running my business from 17hats daily frees my time to have life and run my business, I don't have to choose one over the other.
The customer support is spectacular. All my questions answered and issues resolved in a timely manner and in a supportive and respectful way.

**What do you dislike about 17hats?**

Unfortunately (for coaches), 17hats is not positioned as a go-to software for the coaches to keep their businesses organized and run smoothly.

- online scheduling that happens automatically and doesn't require me checking my calendars for conflicts;
- the lead forms and scheduling embedded on my website and anywhere else I want to have a lead form or scheduling calendar;
- tracking where the leads come from, how much money those leads bring to business allows me to know where I should focus on for my marketing;
- signing up contracts online;
- online payments in that could be arranged in any plan if needed. Anything that makes it easy for my clients to pay me is good for me;
- keeping all emails and notes related to each client in one place is helpful;
- automations!!!
- I don't write any emails or documents twice.

**What do you like best about 17hats?**

I think my favorite feature is the lead capture because it feeds into so many of the other features. I love the workflows, and being able to send docs, invoices, emails and more. The bookkeeping feature is great!  But honestly, I couldn't pick just one feature there are so many amazing tools

**What do you dislike about 17hats?**

I can't think of a single thing I dislike.

**What problems is 17hats solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organzation of leads, finances, contracts, emails and more. Each feature allows me to free up time from doing repetitive tasks and allows me to focus on the parts of my business that I love.

**What do you like best about 17hats?**

It is a very helpful tool in mitigating manual and frequent tasks and helps in organizing, systemizing and automating several important business processes, as several tasks are supposed to be active outside working hours, like automated replies, payment management etc.

**What do you dislike about 17hats?**

There were some initial difficulties while syncing email accounts and bank accounts, rest all was fine.
Also, the website feels a bit over crowded and it gives a very cluttered impression

**What problems is 17hats solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A user-friendly client management portal helps in handling a lot of clients day to day problems, which you might not be able to cater to again and again or it might become cumbersome after a point. The simple interface helps in the smooth transition to the clients. Helps in drafting emails too, and a lot of other tasks and helps making business run smoother.

I like that 17hats is easy to use if you have never used a program like it before. You are able to do everything with 17hats, so there is no need for multiple programs.

I have been using 17hats for a few months and so far there is nothing that I dislike about it. I have used Honeybook and I like 17hats, I am able to find what I am looking for a lot easier.

I am able to create workflows, automate emails, keep track of leads and where they come from, and it helps me stay organized. Honestly it is helping me solve a lot of problems that I was trying to track myself, this makes it so much easier.

**What do you like best about 17hats?**

Custom contact forms and the integrated ability to send email and text notifications when someone inquires was awesome.  I have to use zapier to make that happen now.

**What do you dislike about 17hats?**

Lost access to all my client info as soon as i cancelled my subscription. With other services i could still export a csv of my financials and client lists. That caused some problems.

**What problems is 17hats solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing my clients and giving them a better experience by having everything in one place instead of sending them a ton of separate emails from different platforms.

It helps in reducing manual efforts like framing emails and automates process of businesses which are required to be active even after business hours. For example: Auto-reply.

As of now, I could not find any negatives about usage of this tool. However, I would really like to see a new material design update for this tool which would be a plus plus from aesthetics point of view.

I like the overall UI. It's simple, clean, and customizable. I also like that you can integrate a lot of other e-commerce platforms and other applications.

**What do you dislike about 17hats?**

No dislikes at the moment. Overall its pretty simple. I would like to see docusign being integrated into 17hats?

**Recommendations to others considering 17hats:**

If you are a small business that is looking for a platform to organize customers. This platform will increase the production of your workflow and make your life easier. As a small business owner, I always have a difficult time managing my time. 17 hats will get some of that time back.

**What problems is 17hats solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer management. I can keep my customers informed while I am planning their events.
