I appreciate being able to create interactive classes and how seamlessly the quizzes are integrated into the PowerPoints. My students are impressed by the way the correct answer is displayed. I also value that the platform is anonymous, not time-based, and doesn't highlight wrong answers with a red light. This really helps reduce students' anxiety and makes them feel more comfortable participating. I enjoy the variety of quizzes available—not just multiple choice, but also options like pinning on images or guessing a number. It is very easy to impement and reuse in following years. I also love that I can collect data about participation and identify muddy points during the class. Vevox is a great tool to enhance interactivity and engagement for students in higher education. It can be integrated with Canvas PowerPoint, MS Teams and Zoom. I like the AI feature within the Quiz which can generate questions for you on a topic or an uploaded document. I am excited to trial the new the Spin the wheel activity. So far I have found:

- the person who created the question has to share their screen to be able to display the answers to the rest of the audience

I like the variety of options we can use in teaching or engagements with varying group sizes to gain immediate, focused and easy to understand data in real time. I used it recently with a class of 250 students in a Tertiary education space and was able to not only gain immediate input from multiple people, but also use the easily displayed input to encourage critical discussion on the topic we were covering (which was on health systems in New Zealand). I would like to see a feature that gamifies the input - there are times when gaining the data from tertiary students also requires a small amount of energy and enthusiasm. I like that it's particularly easy to use, and it's particularly easy to teach, which is very important. I appreciate that there's very little time needed for setting it up and using it with people in real time. It takes a very short amount of time to create a session or a poll. I find the process of opening and closing questions in Vevox to be clunky. It involves pressing open and close repeatedly, which disrupts the flow, especially in comparison to similar polling tools. Vevox has become an essential part of my teaching toolkit. What I love most is how versatile it is—I’ve used it in all sorts of creative ways, especially to help students develop analytical thinking. One of my favourite approaches is using live polls to collect data from the class in real time. We then display the results and analyse them together, which opens up rich discussions about patterns, outliers, and interpretation. For example, I used Vevox to scaffold a class about sex education, and students were fascinated to see how their peers rated their comfort with the topic and the sex education they had received at school. The polls stimulated a rich discussion about the politics of sex education. Students are more engaged when they see their own responses reflected in the data, and the anonymity feature helps ensure everyone feels safe contributing.

While I really value Vevox and use it regularly, I would like to have the option of displaying survey data in the same way we can display live poll results.
