I just wish the item explanation can also be made available to basic users. Also, when we view reports from Team mode live games, the report does not show the teams created, even in the generated results. It's great for a quiz formative assessment. You could do a summative assessment on here as well. I love the functionality of being able to incorporate these easily into my Google Classroom as an assignment. **What do you dislike about Quizizz?** You have to proof the quizzes that have been made. If you don't you WILL run into errors with answers or the questions themselves. We don't always make the perfect quiz the first time through, suggest to authors to proof their quizzes instead of simply copying them to their library. **Recommendations to others considering Quizizz:** Find a quiz you like, don't be afraid to go in and edit the quiz to add/remove content you like/dislike, or simply add your own questions to an existing quizziz. Be sure to check the answers if your simply going to use a quiz that's already created. You do NOT have to use the timer function for the gaming aspect of quizziz, I say this because it can cause anxiety for some of your students. **What problems is Quizizz solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm solving being able to quiz in a formative manner people who are in school of at home for a variety of reasons during this pandemic. I really like being able to teleport questions from available quizizz. My students really enjoy playing and competing against each other. I really like the new lesson version which is great for my digital classes to be able to engage with content and answer questions instantly remotely. My students love the redemption question and I do too. **What do you dislike about Quizizz?** The one think I wish would be different is the printed report not being in alphabetical order, but from highest to lowest grade. I wish I could have the option to how I want to print the report. It now features the "lesson" function, which integrates the classic question-and-answer mode with slides that allow for a more engaging lesson explanation. **What do you dislike about Quizizz?** Quizziz in general is excellent, but I think it would be very beneficial to be able to integrate sets developed on other platforms like Quizlet or Gimkit and thus be able to export or import educational material much more easily. **Recommendations to others considering Quizizz:** Take your time to explore this platform. Each feature serves a specific purpose in the classroom. There are many lessons available, but it is always good to explore them and adapt them to your own lesson, teaching style, and/or the needs of your students. If I pay for a membership I want them to always be active. We have midterms and final exams and it takes A LOT of work to go through and put the codes in to our slides so the students can do solo practice. The Solo practice link I used before was amazing but now that button is gone. **Recommendations to others considering Quizizz:** I highly recommend Quizizz to evaluate the level of understanding per topic in your classes. I use it everyday and reward the top 3 with candy so the students really get into the competition! Overally, I think I have to give the edge to the Reporting features. We can view student progress as it happens and address it in real time, get complete item analysis breakdowns, forward results to parents, and automatically permit retakes of lessons. **What do you dislike about Quizizz?** Formatting is still a bit of an issue. It can be tricky fitting all of the info on a slide without things getting cut off or jumbled. It would also be really helpful to be able to use more than one type of media per slide (ie pictures + audio). One final hangup, which is actually a pretty huge deal and the reason for a 9 instead of 10 - you can't copy/borrow/import individual Quizizz slides into other slideshows. **What problems is Quizizz solving and how is that benefiting you?** Google slides doesn't permit instant feedback or graded assessment without some other add-on which is usually limited itself or rather expensive. Kahoot and similar sites don't really allow for the inclusion of informational slides to accompany the questions - they're more useful for just assessing or giving practice. Quizizz is a great balance of both worlds. By putting open-ended slides saying "Ask Us a Question" or "What Are Your Thoughts?" into the lesson, it has helped us to increase feedback and promote discussion without sacrificing the ability to generate a grade for the other questions. ### 23. They have told me that it is much better than other educational games they have played and that they actually do retain more information by playing the games. It does not matter if I use Quizizz as a competition, homework assignment, or a test, my student willing engage. Because of this, using Quizizz as classwork, homework, or a test/quiz is easy for the teacher to make and easy for the students to understand. There is no wasted time explaining to students what something means or how to type in their answer. It is also Photomath friendly for teachers, meaning students can use it. **What do you dislike about Quizizz?** There is really nothing to dislike. It is very user friendly to use and kids like playing in the competition mode. Not much more you can ask for as an educational tool. **What problems is Quizizz solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have use this in my 9th grade Algebra class and my 11th grade Algebra 2 class. The engagement I receive from my students while they are playing a game in class is outstanding. Also, due to the pandemic math teachers needed to find a way to limit cheating (i.e. use photomath and other online solvers) by our virtual students and Quizizz does that. ### 25. Linking assignments to Google Classroom is also my favorite feature. I am learning the lessons feature as well as the different types of questions available, but with each new feature proves that Quizizz is a one-stop kinda place! That is the best for students.... consistency on one platform. **What do you dislike about Quizizz?** I do not like the limitation on due dates. I like to leave quizzes open for additional practice closer to standardized testing time. Also, I am not thrilled that anyone in the world can create quizzes, so I have to keep an eye on my students (who love to play the games that pop up on their feed once their quiz is complete). Some of my students get frustrated when the chromebooks accidently select the wrong answer. So far I love it, but it is a matter of time to put it together well enough to present. Also, on the teacher led instruction feature, I have a love/hate relationship with A) the timer and B) the size of the font when reviewing the answers. I used Quizizz Lesson every time I have my synchronous classes because it does not only heightens participation and engagement among students but also gives me enough data on how they have understood the lessons. I find it easy to navigate as well. I like it that it is interactive because I can add activities in my lessons. Likewise, the quizzes that you can make in Quizizz are varied.
