  ### 1. Homebase Makes Scheduling, Time Tracking, and Team Communication Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allegra A. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

We’ve been using Homebase at our boutique for scheduling, time tracking, and team communication, and it has made managing day-to-day operations so much easier. With a retail team and constantly changing schedules, having everything in one place has been a huge help.

The scheduling system is very user-friendly for both managers and employees. We especially love how easy it is for staff to view schedules, request time off, swap shifts, and communicate directly through the app. It has helped reduce scheduling confusion and saved us a lot of time every week.

As a small business owner, I also appreciate how organized and efficient the platform feels. It’s simple to use, reliable, and has helped us streamline operations while keeping everyone on the same page. Overall, Homebase has become an important part of how we run our business, and I would definitely recommend it to other small business owners looking for an easy and effective scheduling solution.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The only thing I don’t like is that I can’t access all information from the app on my phone, I need my computer to access complete information, and I am always doing things on the go

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves everything…….. payroll is always accurate and on time, scheduling is so much easier and everyone can plan accordingly, no more mistakes or guessing on timesheets. I’m just sad I didn’t find you guys sooner.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Homebase has made managing your boutique's day-to-day operations so much easier! Our user-friendly scheduling system and team communication features are designed to streamline operations for small businesses like yours. We appreciate your feedback about accessing information on the app and will take it into consideration for future improvements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 2. Seamless Scheduling and Payroll Management with a Minor App Glitch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathleen G. | Alternate admin/office manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that Homebase is very easy to use and has many great features that make scheduling, time card management, and payroll a breeze. It's extremely valuable for our business, helping us manage and keep track of where everyone is in case of an emergency. We can easily check where someone is and keep better track of weekly hours to ensure everyone is getting the hours they need. The initial setup was very easy too.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

One thing that doesn't work too well is making changes to the schedule on the app. There's many times that we want to publish just one day but can't since it doesn't give us the option. So, we have to get on a desktop to make the changes. The only thing I see that would need improvement is like I had mentioned is making the change in the app. If possible, it would be great to have the option to make single day changes in the app without publishing the whole week instead of going to a computer to make those changes.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Homebase for scheduling in our home health setting. It helps manage where everyone is during emergencies, simplifies running the business, and tracks weekly hours to ensure proper staffing.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and valuable for your business. We appreciate your feedback about the app glitch and will definitely take it into consideration for future improvements. So glad you are part of the Homebase community

  ### 3. Homebase Cut My Scheduling Time in Half

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel G. | Volunteer Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I manage a volunteer pool of 50+ people and previously created schedules manually, on paper. I love how Homebase cut my scheduling time by half. For me, ease of use is the thing I like best about Homebase.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Overall, the benefits outweigh any inconvenient aspects of the platform, but if I had to provide a dislike, I would say that I wish I had the ability to copy an entire month's schedule and paste it into a new month, instead of only having the capability of copying a week at a time.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The mere fact that I no longer have to track hours and schedules by hand is a huge timesaver. A also like having the ability for volunteers to see and claim open shifts themselves, instead of going through me via phone calls and emails. Huge timesaving benefit.

  ### 4. Homebase Streamlines Payroll and Time Tracking in One Easy Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsy G. | Team Lead - Onboarding Bookkeeper, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

What I like most about Homebase is that it brings payroll and time tracking together in a single platform. Employees can clock in and out easily, which keeps hour tracking accurate and straightforward. It also removes the need for manual timesheets and helps cut down on errors during payroll processing.

I also appreciate how convenient it is to have everything synced in one place—from hours worked to wages—so payroll runs feel faster and more efficient. The system is easy for both managers and employees to use, and it helps make sure everyone is paid correctly and on time. Overall, it streamlines timekeeping and payroll management in a practical, reliable way.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I don’t have any major dislikes about Homebase so far. It has been reliable and meets our needs for time tracking and payroll efficiently.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far, I haven’t encountered any major problems. Homebase helps streamline time tracking and payroll by allowing employees to clock in and out easily, which improves accuracy and saves time.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you're enjoying the convenience and efficiency of Homebase for time tracking and payroll management. Thank you for sharing your positive experience! Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 5. Effortless Payroll and Scheduling Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johnnie D. | Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I love how Homebase has significantly reduced my payroll processing time from about two or three hours to just twenty minutes. The setup was really easy, and the Homebase staff helped transfer our information from Paychex over, which was great. Everything I need for payroll is right there and easy to access, so I don't have to navigate all over the website to find things.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

When staff want to swap shifts or take the shift of another available person, I'm not able to see it when I first log in to Homebase. I go to the dashboard, and sometimes I don't see it there. However, I do receive an email alert about swap requests or accepting open shifts, but I don't see it immediately in Homebase.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase saves me a lot of time on biweekly payroll, reducing it from hours to about twenty minutes. It also helps keep track of scheduling efficiently.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Homebase has made such a positive impact on your payroll processing time! Our team is dedicated to providing seamless setup and support for transferring information from other platforms. We appreciate your feedback about the shift swapping feature and will definitely take it into consideration for future improvements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 6. Easy, User-Friendly Scheduling and Time Tracking with Homebase

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Furqan I. | Head Of IT Depatment, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I’ve been using Homebase for employee scheduling and time tracking, and it’s been very easy to work with. Creating and setting up shifts is straightforward, and I especially appreciate the mobile app because it makes communicating with the team quick and efficient.

That said, there are a couple of areas that could be improved, such as more customization options in reports and the occasional lag with notifications.

Overall, it’s a solid tool for small to medium-sized teams, and I’d recommend it to businesses that want a simple, user-friendly scheduling solution.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Some advanced features are locked behind paid plans, which can make it expensive as your team grows.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Homebase, scheduling is much easier, and employees can view their shifts, swap them, and get updates instantly. It also simplifies time tracking and payroll by automatically recording work hours and reducing manual errors.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and that it has been helpful for your employee scheduling and time tracking. We appreciate your feedback on areas for improvement and will take it into consideration for future updates. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 7. Effortless Payroll and Seamless Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monica K. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase mainly for timeclocks and communication. The GPS feature works out really well when we need it. I love how easy it is to do payroll, it cuts my time in half! I also like how Homebase shows who has read the messages and who hasn't, keeping everyone on the same page. The initial setup of Homebase was very easy!

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I have not explored any other features actually. I would like to utilize the schedule tab better.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for timeclocks and communication. The GPS feature works well, once the initial issues were resolved. Payroll is easy, and it halves my time while keeping everyone on the same page. I like seeing who has read messages.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're delighted to hear that Homebase has made timeclocks, communication, and payroll easier for you! We appreciate your feedback and will take note of your interest in utilizing the schedule tab better. Thank you for choosing Homebase for your business needs! Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 8. Effortless Time Management, Needs Reliable Updates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ana Rosa B. | security guard, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase for work to manage employees clocking in. I appreciate how it made it very easy to manage our time and attention on our employees. I also find that we can easily fix hours and keep up with them. The Time Clock feature is the one I use the most, as it's really valuable for tracking employee hours. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, which made onboarding smooth.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

When an update happens. I’m scared of what happened a couple weeks back when it crashed and it was a horrible 48 hours to wait for the updated app to work.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase to easily fix and keep track of hours, making it very easy to manage our time and attention on employees.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has made it easy for you to manage your employees' time and attention. We understand the importance of reliable updates and apologize for any inconvenience caused by the recent app crash. Our team is constantly working to improve the app's stability and performance to provide a better experience for our users.

  ### 9. Homebase Is a One-Stop Shop That Replaced Our Three Systems

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Selina W. | Office manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

That is a one stop shop for my employees. We used to have 3 systems, and my employees had to have a separate login to each to do what we now do all in Homebase.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I would like to receive more alters when my staff clocks in late or clocks out outside of the Geofence. The little star next to the time sheet is easily missed. If out of the Geofence then it would be nice to send an alter to the manager that had to be approved.

Also, we have several servers, and it would be great if when they clock out it prompts them to enter tips. They are missing this step several times, and it makes more work for payroll.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are still working on an ongoing issue with sick time not calculating correctly. I have not heard back in about a week.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with Homebase! We are thrilled to hear that consolidating from three separate systems into one has made life easier for you and your team.

We truly appreciate your feedback regarding Geofence alerts and the tip-entry prompt for servers — these are valuable insights, and we have shared them with our product team for consideration.

Regarding the sick time calculation issue, we sincerely apologize for the delay in follow-up. Please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team directly so we can prioritize getting this resolved for you as quickly as possible.

Thank you again for your partnership and for helping us improve!

  ### 10. Effective Solution for Scheduling and HR Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ertugrul S. | Operations Manager, Retail, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like how Homebase helps me to easily plan the daily and weekly activities, and organize who is going to work where and at what time. It works the majority of the time and is very useful for employee scheduling and workflow during the day. The initial setup of Homebase was pretty straightforward and we didn't have any issues other than a few glitches.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I wanted to integrate Homebase with our internal software, but the IT department did not approve it. During the initial setup, there were a few glitches.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase to solve scheduling conflicts and availability issues. It helps plan daily and weekly activities, ensuring no errors or tardiness in our fast-paced, time-sensitive operations.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Homebase has been tailor-made for your operation and has been so effective in creating daily and weekly schedules for your staff. We're glad to hear that the weather forecast and availability options have been useful for you as well. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 11. Homebase is GOAT

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

What I like best about Homebase is how focused it is on making life easier for small business teams. The platform solves real day-to-day problems — scheduling, communication, time tracking, and hiring — in a way that’s simple and approachable. I also appreciate that Homebase puts a strong emphasis on supporting hourly workers and helping local businesses succeed, because those teams are often the backbone of their communities.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

One downside of Homebase is that some advanced features are locked behind higher-tier plans, which can make it expensive for very small businesses as they grow. There can also be a learning curve when setting up schedules, payroll integrations, or customized workflows for the first time. In busy environments, notifications and messaging can sometimes feel overwhelming if they aren’t managed carefully.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase helps solve the challenge of managing hourly teams by bringing scheduling, time tracking, team communication, and hiring into one platform. Instead of juggling spreadsheets, text messages, and multiple apps, everything is centralized and easier to manage. That benefits me by saving time, reducing scheduling mistakes, improving communication with the team, and making day-to-day operations run more smoothly. It also helps employees stay informed about schedules and shift changes, which creates a better overall work experience.

  ### 12. Homebase: Clean All-in-One Scheduling, Hiring & Time Tracking With Great Mobile Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I love that Homebase handles scheduling, time tracking, team communication, hiring, and HR tools all in one easy-to-use platform. The UI is clean and simple for both managers and employees, which makes onboarding very easy even for teams that are not tech-savvy. Most people I refer to Homebase especially love the mobile clock-in feature and geo-fencing capabilities for service-based jobs because it helps track projects, locations, and employee accountability in real time.

The hiring tools are also fantastic. The AI-powered interview features save a tremendous amount of time during the hiring process by helping pre-screen candidates and streamline interviews before moving applicants forward. This is especially valuable for growing businesses that need to hire efficiently without spending hours manually sorting applicants.

Homebase also integrates well with payroll and business management systems, helping reduce manual work and improve accuracy. From a pricing standpoint, it offers strong ROI because it combines multiple business tools into one affordable platform instead of requiring several separate subscriptions. Performance has been reliable overall, and the mobile app makes it easy for teams to stay connected while in the field.

Another feature I really like is the ability to communicate daily job locations, shift notes, and schedule updates directly inside the app. Their support and onboarding resources are straightforward and helpful, making setup quick and stress-free for business owners and managers.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

One thing I wish Homebase would improve is the referral partner program incentives. Competitors like Gusto offer recurring incentives for referrals tied to ongoing payroll usage, while Homebase’s referral structure is more limited. For agencies, consultants, and business advisors who consistently recommend software solutions to clients, a recurring incentive model would make the partnership program much more competitive and rewarding long-term.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase is helping solve several major operational and hiring challenges for small businesses. One of the biggest benefits is that the hiring process has been far more successful and streamlined compared to purchasing job listings separately through platforms like Indeed and other hiring sites. Having hiring, scheduling, onboarding, communication, and payroll tools connected in one platform saves a significant amount of time and reduces the need to manage multiple systems.

The platform also improves employee accountability through features like mobile clock-in, geo-fencing, scheduling, and team communication. This is especially helpful for service-based businesses managing employees across multiple job sites. Overall, Homebase helps reduce administrative workload, improve hiring efficiency, simplify HR processes, and keep teams more organized and connected.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Homebase! We're glad to hear that our all-in-one platform has been beneficial for your business, from scheduling and time tracking to hiring and HR tools. We appreciate your feedback on the referral partner program and will take it into consideration for future improvements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 13. Game-Changer for Team Scheduling and Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miranda B.

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase to communicate with my small Lifeguard team and to schedule when they work. Homebase has been a game changer for me. I used to write out our schedule on paper and it would take forever, now with Homebase, I can send out a schedule within 10 minutes. If there are any changes or people needing to trade shifts, we communicate through the app, and it’s been so easy to use! I find Homebase to be such a great communication tool for work. It’s visually appealing and set up very organized. The initial setup for my team was very easy, and I appreciate how simple it was to get started.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I wish I could make some more notes about what to expect on the shifts, but that’s just a minor thing. Other than that, there’s not really anything I don’t like.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase simplifies scheduling and communication with my Lifeguard team. It cuts down scheduling time from hours to just 10 minutes and makes shift changes easy. It's a great communication tool and visually organized.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Homebase has been a game changer for your team scheduling and communication! We're glad to hear that the initial setup was easy and that you find the app visually appealing and organized. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 14. Streamlines Scheduling with Ease, Minor App Bugs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Golden O. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that Homebase makes scheduling and trading shifts easy, which removes me as a middleman when employees need to trade shifts. I also appreciate that it is very accessible for employees of all ages, which is important for our diverse team. Plus, it reminds me of upcoming shifts, helping me stay organized. The ability to count hours and see the whole month's schedule and requests off all on one screen is incredibly convenient.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

There are constant app bugs. For example, when making a request off, the app will shut down sometimes before I finish the request. I don't love that I do not pay employees to come in early unless they are asked, and I don’t like that it counts towards their time card.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase to manage employee schedules and requests efficiently. It prevents scheduling conflicts by ensuring employees submit requests on time, simplifies shift trades, and keeps all schedules aligned.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has made scheduling and shift management easier for you and your team. We appreciate your feedback about the app bugs and will work to address these issues promptly. Thank you for using Homebase to streamline your scheduling process. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 15. User-Friendly Scheduling with Some Log in hiccups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that Homebase is user-friendly, especially how the titles are nice and bold on the left-hand side. It's nice to see everybody's schedule, and I can always log in to see if someone I need to talk to is at work or not. This is valuable because if someone is off work, I know not to bother them on their day off. I can also see when they started, are closing, or leaving for the day, which is beneficial as a part-time manager.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

It took a while to get my PIN for setting up on my phone, and logging in can be hard, as I often have to log in at the store even though I didn't log out. I get logged out all the time and that’s frustrating.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase to check my and coworkers' schedules, fill in time off, and track hours worked. It helps me not to disturb others on their day off and supports my role as a part-time manager.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase user-friendly and valuable for managing schedules and employee availability. We apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced with logging in and getting your PIN. We're constantly working to improve our login process and will take your feedback into consideration.

  ### 16. Great for small business owners, easy to learn

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor M. | Vice President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that its basic features are free which are enough for small business owners with limited employees and does not need to full features. Its free version has many features available to use and is very reasonable. Its paid versions are great for business as my business will grow. I have been using it since 2018 and have recommended it to many business owners that need time clock in, and scheduling. The team can view their own schedule make request for time off and more. Its great and simple.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

the price for the full or advance features. Like payroll, having the base fee, then for each employee, and or subcontractor or independent contractor those cost can make using the program expensive, especially if certain contractors are only used for 1 to 3 projects. or for limited time periods

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its giving me a portal to view and schedule my employees shift, I can see how much payroll will cost for that period. I can print the schedule and notify all employees of their shift. It also puts any request or time off, LOA request in one location, so when making schedule I know

**Official Response from Alifa Jamal:**

> Hi Victor,

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Our team can clock in using the app on their phones or the time clock at the shop, which makes it really flexible. It also lets me offer Paid Time Off, which is a real plus for a small retail shop. I also appreciate the geo-fencing feature.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I would like to be able to require geo-fencing for just some members of my team and not an everyone-or-no-one situation

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Setting up schedules is straightforward, which saves me a lot of time. It also makes it easy for me to offer bonuses and benefits like Paid Time Off, which are essential for keeping the same team together for 5+ years.

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that Homebase is a one-stop shop for time cards and scheduling, as everything from the schedule to the team's punches is very convenient. It all loads seamlessly into payroll when it's time, which makes things a lot easier for me. I also found the initial setup of Homebase to be very easy.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Multi Store support. Its very much a pain to have to toggle between my 3 store locations all the time. I should have a master hub that can do it all. Another pain point is seeing my teams hours. Several of them work at different locations and its difficult to see their total hours since the system separates it by location.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling and payroll. It's a 1 stop shop for time cards and scheduling that seamlessly loads into payroll, making everything from the schedule to the team's punches very convenient.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase convenient for time cards and scheduling, and that it seamlessly integrates with your payroll. We understand the challenges of managing multiple store locations and are continuously working to improve our multi-store support. Your feedback is valuable to us as we strive to make Homebase even more efficient for our users. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 19. Effortless Scheduling, Needs App Enhancements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cheyanne D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I love that Homebase drastically reduces the time it takes me to put a schedule together, from two or three hours down to just 30 minutes. I really appreciate being able to update anything at any time, and having everything I need to do my job right at my fingertips on my phone, tablet, or computer. I also like how easy it is to fix time clocks and see everyone's working hours all in one spot. The initial setup of Homebase was very easy, which I found great.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Using the app versus the webpage can be frustrating because on the webpage I can correct the schedule, time clocks, and edit time offs, but I can't do these things on the app. It would be better if the app could do everything the website can do, and it'd be helpful to know ahead of time when maintenance is going to happen.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling and communication. It cuts my scheduling time from two or three hours down to 30 minutes. I can update anything any time, and see everyone's hours in one spot, all from my phone, tablet, or computer.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has helped you reduce your scheduling time and has made it easy to manage your team's working hours. We appreciate your feedback about the app and webpage functionality, and we'll take it into consideration for future enhancements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 20. Simple Setup and Time Management Efficiency with Minor Glitches

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase to keep track of everyone's time and generate Timecards at the end of each week. I find it helps us be better prepared for Payroll by allowing us to ensure everyone's time is recorded correctly without having to check physical timecards. I appreciate that it was simple to set up and it's free for us to use. I also like the ability to print out Timecards and a list of our Employees, which makes updating information much easier.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

From time to time there seem to be small glitches, but it is not very often. When making a change to a Timecard, it is not always reflected on the Weekly Report. I have to double-check that the hours actually changed and were updated. This has probably happened about 6 times, and we've been using Homebase for over a year.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase to track everyone's time and generate a Weekly Report which I print out by Employee and use as our weekly Timecard for entering Payroll on site. It helps with payroll preparedness because we can check time entries without physical cards and it allows printing Weekly Reports by Employee and Employee lists for easy updates on our on site Payroll program.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has been helpful in managing your time and preparing for payroll. We apologize for the occasional glitches you've experienced and we're constantly working to improve our system. Thank you for your feedback and for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 21. User-Friendly Platform with Clock-In Efficiency, Needs Improved OT Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin R. | Customer Support Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I used Homebase for clock in, schedules, and time management, which were helpful for tracking my work hours and schedule. The platform is user-friendly, making it easy for me to sign up when I received an email invitation from my employer. I like that I can do a lot of things besides clocking in, even though that's the main feature I mostly use. Homebase also works well for managing my time and handling days off.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

OT and asking for salary in advance were not well implemented. When I requested for OT, my manager sometimes didn't see the request. I don't know if there was no notification sent or if my manager just didn't check, but it happened the same for advance salary requests; this was not available at all.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for clocking in and managing schedules. It helps me track my time and request overtime. I appreciate its user-friendly interface and additional features for time management and days off.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has been helpful for tracking your work hours and schedule. We appreciate your feedback about the OT and advance salary request features, and we will work on improving these aspects for a better user experience.

  ### 22. Homebase Packs Powerful Scheduling, Onboarding, Timesheets & Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily E. | General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

There are so many features to Homebase. Scheduling, onboarding, timesheets and reporting. All very helpful in the operations and labor reporting of a business. Was easy to set up, and is easy to use but thorough. Pricing for it is also very competitive to other systems. We use it on a daily basis and it works for exactly what we need without major headaches. Also easy for the employees on their end of it as well. Communication, scheduling, etc.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Features will change randomly, therefore it sometimes takes a bit to reacclimate to the functions. Also, a minor issue but when going into the schedule tab, most times, it does not default to the week we are currently in. Usually defaults to a past week (sometimes from a month before), which has thrown off managers looking at the schedule in a quick snapshot.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the main areas that Homebase has helped with is watching labor costs and labor hours. It has become an easy way to pull reports to see where we stand in a quick timeframe, to be able to operationally make changes to our staffing and adjust accordingly to where we need to be.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for the great review! We’re so glad Homebase is helping you manage scheduling, onboarding, timesheets, and labor reporting with ease — and that it’s working well for both managers and employees.

We also appreciate the feedback on feature changes and the schedule tab defaulting to a past week. That’s helpful insight, and we’ll be sure to pass it along to our product team.

Thanks again for sharing your experience!

I use Homebase for employee tracking, including clock-ins, clock-outs, and monitoring total hours and overtime. It's easy for both managers and employees to use and provides accurate, reliable time records. Homebase has streamlined payroll preparation, improved accountability, and reduced administrative work. Setting it up was very easy, and I use it with Gusto to manage payroll every two weeks. I highly recommend it to small businesses seeking an efficient, user-friendly time management solution.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Nothing, I'm totally happy with Homebase.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase is easy to use for managers and employees, provides accurate time records, streamlines payroll preparation, improves accountability, and reduces administrative work.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** D A. | Executive Assistant I, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

I use Homebase for managing my schedule and team communication. It helps me not be late for work. I can easily communicate with the entire team and swap or pick up shifts, which saves me time because I don't have to know team members' phone numbers. The initial setup was easy, making it convenient to start using it quickly.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

It could notify me when my requests have been approved, especially for days off requests.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase helps me not be late for work, saves time by eliminating the need to know team members' phone numbers, and facilitates easy communication and shift management.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has been helpful for managing your schedule and team communication. We appreciate your feedback about the notifications for approved requests and will take that into consideration for future improvements. So glad you are part of the Homebase community

  ### 25. Effortless Employee Scheduling with Homebase

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I find that Homebase makes it very easy to plan each week and smoothly move from week to week when schedules repeat. I appreciate how it displays when an employee needs time off on the calendar, which facilitates scheduling around any conflicts. The online presence of Homebase is very easy to follow and quite intuitive. I believe the initial setup was quite easy, as it introduced the program to all of the store managers and got us up and running very quickly. It takes very few adjustments over time, and we've all mastered it quite easily.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

When you move from field to field, it's easy to...

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling all our employees, it makes weekly planning easy and facilitates moving between weeks. The online presence is intuitive, and setting it up was quick and easily mastered by the team.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Homebase has made employee scheduling effortless for you and your team. ### 26. Effortless Scheduling with Intuitive Recommendations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like the recommended schedule feature in Homebase. It makes it easier to create the schedule because it knows the tendencies of our workers and adjusts based on their availability and time off. I just click recommend, and it simplifies the process without needing to do it all myself. The initial setup was super easy.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

None at the moment. I just think that Homebase should definitely have, like, an introduction call for new users. Meaning that they should reach out to the new users, like the new hires, to show them around the system or whatnot. Show them how to work it. That'd be cool.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase simplifies scheduling and reviewing availability, making changes easy for me and my team. It recommends schedules based on worker tendencies and time off, speeding up the process so I don't have to manage it manually.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you're enjoying the recommended schedule feature and finding it helpful for your team's scheduling needs. We appreciate your feedback about having an introduction call for new users and will definitely take that into consideration for future improvements. So glad you are part of the Homebase community

  ### 27. Effortless Payroll and Onboarding with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole P. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I absolutely love how easy it is to onboard employees with Homebase. The seamless payroll process is also something I really like. I don't have to deal with technical issues since the mobile app is straightforward and easy for employees to use. It's one of the few things I haven't had to create an employee training around. Having payroll managed through Homebase makes it easy for me to review time cards and approve them. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy and took less than 30 minutes with all my information ready. I had so much support from Homebase compared to the non-existent customer service at Square Payroll.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

sometimes there are too many notifications and learning how to adjust them took some time

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for payroll and time tracking. It simplifies managing onboarding, provides time cards, and handles payroll taxes. The mobile app is easy for employees to use without training. I love the seamless payroll process and the easy review and approval of timecards.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you love how easy it is to onboard employees and manage payroll with Homebase. We're committed to providing seamless and straightforward solutions for our customers. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 28. Streamlined Scheduling with Easy Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruth H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that I can see a week of a schedule in front of me and easily add or delete people on the schedule, making my life a lot easier. I'm not on text threads anymore asking people if they can work, and everyone can put their off days and schedule requests in. I enjoy the messaging system because it helps people not rely on their cell phones to communicate. Also, the initial setup of Homebase was super easy. I could do it, and I'm not good at tech stuff, so it must have been easy.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I really wish once you do a schedule, there's a white section that comes in from the right side. I always say no. Can I turn that off? Somehow? Because it's really annoying.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling, and everyone can see the schedule in one place. It helps us communicate without relying on phones and lets us easily manage off days and schedule requests.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Homebase! We're thrilled to hear that the scheduling and messaging features have made your life easier. Our customer support team can help with the white section you mentioned if you reach out to them.

  ### 29. Easy Scheduling and Timesheets with Responsive Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arlie S. | Family Nurse Practitioner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Homebase is easy to use, and both scheduling and timesheets are straightforward to interpret. Customer service is responsive and easy to reach when I need help. The website performs well overall, and the pricing feels acceptable.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The only thing I don’t like is that I can’t set a standard lunch-break time. I have to manually enter every employee’s lunch break. Since lunch is the same set time every day, I don’t require them to clock in and out for it, so having to enter it manually each time is inconvenient.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to use paper timesheets and had to calculate my hours manually. Now Homebase takes care of all of that for me.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and that our customer service is responsive. We appreciate your feedback about the lunch-break time feature and will take it into consideration for future updates. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 30. Effortless Scheduling and Communication with Minor Interface Hurdles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Remy M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I really like how easy it is to schedule, change, and update the schedule with Homebase. It's one of my favorite features. I also love the feature that allows me to see who has read the messaging, which helps me communicate with my staff all at once and know who I need to talk to specifically. The initial setup was super easy, very intuitive, and user-friendly. I really do like this app.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I wish to see a better layout of scheduled time off. Once I have read a staff member's blurb on why they want a day off and which days, I have a difficult time retracing my steps and finding that information. The other thing I would really like to have as an added feature, this is something I saw in another scheduling app, is the ability to send out a weekly message every time I post the schedule. I found that extremely helpful to launch a schedule and then say, welcome this new team member, or don't forget this week, we're closing early.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase helps me communicate with my staff all at once, and I can see who has read my messages, which makes it easy to follow up. It's really easy to schedule, change, and update shifts.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase easy to use for scheduling and communication. We appreciate your feedback about the layout of scheduled time off and the ability to send out weekly messages, and we'll definitely take that into consideration for future updates.

  ### 31. Fast Payroll, Seamless Onboarding but Needs Better Scheduling

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marlon R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I do like the fact that Homebase is a growing application that meets my needs and standards. I enjoy how fast and easy it is to use when doing payroll. I also enjoy that they are updating features, such as creating polls and the ability to send videos and pictures through messaging. I appreciate that they take into account others' feedback. I find the AI professional tool very useful for guiding employees, and I love that the onboarding process is so easy. I appreciate the assistance offered in different types of realms. I like the payroll tools and the fact that they tell me who comes to work on time and who doesn’t, which is very dynamic. The initial setup was seamless, and I recommend Homebase to friends and colleagues, rating it maybe an 8.5 out of 10 depending on their usage.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I'd like for the scheduling features to have more effectiveness without having to change your views. I would like for the filters to remain the same when it comes to different view sorts. I really suggest that the reporting category all get up on the same type of wavelength, as I do have to go into several different tabs to get what I'm looking for when it comes to certain histories and cost of sales and savings throughout weekly reporting.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I enjoy how Homebase meets my needs and is easy for payroll. The AI tool is useful for guiding employees, and onboarding is easy. It updates often and incorporates feedback, and has tools for creating polls and sending videos.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase fast and easy to use for payroll, and that you appreciate the updates and features like creating polls and sending videos. We value your feedback on the scheduling features and will take it into consideration for future improvements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 32. Streamlined Operations and Stress-Free Workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kola J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I find Homebase's scheduling easy to use. The payroll system runs smoothly for me, and I appreciate how the background check feature makes hiring much more efficient. Overall, Homebase has helped me stay organized and focused on growing my company, preventing me from getting stuck in administrative tasks. The initial setup was very easy, with no problems at all. I started using it with a small team of four staff members in 2024, and it's been great for my growing number of staff. I highly recommend Homebase to any small business owner looking for an all-in-one solution that actually works.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

There is nothing I don't like about homebae

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase is a game changer for my business, streamlining everything in one place and saving me time. It reduces stress and helps me manage day-to-day operations efficiently. Its scheduling, payroll, and background check features keep me organized, allowing focus on growth instead of admin tasks.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Homebase has been such a valuable tool for your business! Thank you for recommending us to other small business owners. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 33. Effortless Scheduling, Steep Pricing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renee M.

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase to schedule shifts for lifeguards and pool managers. I like that it is easy to use and saves me time by keeping all schedule requests for time off and availability in one place. Once approved, requests are blocked out in the scheduling part of the app, so I don't accidentally schedule someone. I love creating calendar templates because it makes my weekly scheduling quick and simple. Also, employees can submit time-off requests and they're directly put into the scheduling calendar, which is really convenient. I appreciate that employees can communicate, request shift trades, and once approved, these are immediately adjusted on the calendar. The initial setup was very easy, relatively intuitive, and quick for my employees, who also find it easy to use. They love that I do my schedule on it.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I would say that for me it is the increasing cost. As a seasonal user it is becoming increasingly harder to justify the cost.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase saves me time by centralizing schedule requests and blocking off approved time off, preventing scheduling errors. It's easy to use, allows employees to submit requests, communicate, and manage shift trades. I love using calendar templates for quick scheduling.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has been a time-saving and convenient tool for your scheduling needs. We understand your concern about the cost, and we continuously strive to provide value for our users. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration as we work to improve. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 34. Efficient All-in-One Solution with Challenging Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyssa Anne W. | Regional Manager and Trainer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that everything is built into one place with Homebase. Instead of using separate tools for communication, scheduling, and payroll, everything is conveniently in one spot. I really enjoy how the schedules are based off the timesheets, which makes it easier for trainers at our gym, as their classes are scheduled at the same time every week, every month, every day. I can efficiently manage additional earnings through features like adding commission for our trainers and sales associates based on attendance or sales targets. The ability to add recurring payments like Danielle’s monthly stipend directly into the payroll is really helpful. I also love the add-on features for payroll, which make handling complex pay structures much smoother.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The only thing that does not work well is the onboarding process. Transparently, it was terrible. Every single associate and trainer minus three people needed, like, hand holding through the onboarding process. Also, it seems like there's, like, six different ways to get onboarded. You could do it through the app, you could do it through the website, you can follow these specific instructions. And, they kept sending me, like, different links and articles. It was also confusing because you would get an email that would say, click here to begin your onboarding process, but then, like, nothing worked through the email. Then it was like, oh, we'll use the app, but then, like, sometimes the app didn't work. And it was like, use the Internet web browser on your phone. Oh, use the desktop. Oh, no. Actually, the Internet web browser on your phone is the best way to do it. The desktop is the worst. It honestly made no sense. It seemed like there's no right or wrong, and so each person, it was a different hurdle until we got it figured out. A lot of them, I had to manually input their direct deposit information because they couldn't figure it out, but that's, like, the only area of Homebase that was a complete struggle for me. And instead of the software benefiting me or partnering with me, it partnered against me. I would say looking into that and trying to find further ways to make it smooth, efficient, and easy would be extremely helpful, especially when you're hopping into a new software with a team of 30 plus people.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling, payroll, and communication all in one place, which streamlines my processes. The chat feature is helpful for quick payroll questions, and I appreciate the additional payroll features like commissions and stipends.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you are enjoying the all-in-one solution that Homebase provides, especially the convenience of having scheduling, payroll, and communication in one place. We understand your frustration with the onboarding process and apologize for the difficulties you experienced. We are constantly working to improve our onboarding process to make it smoother and more efficient for our users. Your feedback is valuable, and we will take it into consideration as we continue to enhance the user experience. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 35. Accurate Payroll with Minor Glitches

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abby P. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I like that employees have to be onsite to clock in and out, ensuring they are within a certain radius of our address. If they forget to clock in or out, they have to reach out to a supervisor, which enhances accuracy. I also find the reporting feature great, as it allows me to run payroll really easily biweekly. Additionally, setting up Homebase was fairly easy once everyone signed up from the invitation they received. Lastly, it's a cost effective solution for our small nonprofit.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Occasionally, employees aren't able to clock in and out even when they're onsite. The software just turns and doesn't actually clock them in or out, almost like a glitch.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase ensures accurate payroll by tracking clock-ins and outs for non-salaried employees. It replaces error-prone Excel timesheets, ensuring precision. I appreciate the reporting feature and that employees need to be onsite to clock in, adding accuracy. It simplifies running biweekly payroll.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has been a cost-effective and accurate solution for your nonprofit. We apologize for the occasional glitches with clocking in and out, and we are continuously working to improve our software to ensure a seamless experience for all users. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 36. Easy-to-Use Scheduling with Color-Coded Shifts and Handy Team Notes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Homebase is set up well and it is easy to use. I love the colors for the schedules and how it allows me to leave a shift note for my team, which is a game changer. I also love just how user friendly it is.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I'm honestly not sure, as I have loved using it ... but the two small things that come to mind are the notification bell doesn't show you the whole time off request/ reason why, you have to go to the time off section on the left hand side to see it. Also I am confused by the fact that there is a publish the schedule button and notify no one... maybe its just user error but I am confused by that.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase is a game changer in getting my schedule to my team as well as managing their availability and time off requests. I used to text the schedule but this is leaps and bounds better. I couldn't recommend it more. We haven't integrated with ADP yet but I would love to see that happen because that would also be a huge time saver (but that's not my decision to make haha)

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and that the color-coded shifts and team notes are helpful for you. We appreciate your feedback about the notification bell and the publish the schedule button, and we'll take that into consideration for future improvements. Thank you for recommending Homebase!

  ### 37. Homebase Makes Scheduling and Team Communication Simple and Organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katrina S. | Program Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Homebase scheduling is especially helpful because it’s simple to use and keeps everything organized in one place. It makes it easy to build schedules, track time, communicate with staff, and quickly handle shift changes or call-offs. The biggest upside is that it saves managers time while helping employees stay informed and accountable.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

One downside of Homebase scheduling is that some features can feel limited unless you upgrade to a paid plan. It can also be frustrating if notifications are missed or if staff are not consistently checking the app, which can lead to communication issues.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase solves scheduling and communication challenges by keeping staff schedules, shift changes, and time tracking all in one place. This benefits me by saving time, reducing confusion, and helping ensure shifts are properly covered without constant back-and-forth communication.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase scheduling helpful and organized. Our goal is to make it easy for managers and employees to stay on top of scheduling and communication. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 38. Streamlined Scheduling and Payroll for Small Businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I find Homebase easy to use for my small business. It's great that my team can handle scheduling, time-off requests, payroll, and team messaging all in one place. I appreciate the seamless operation it offers. Switching from ADP, I've been able to save money. Additionally, obtaining tax forms and documents is fairly easy, and the ability to reach the entire team with updates has been a nice feature.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

It would be nice to have employees with multiple duties they are clocking in and out for - to only be able to clock in and out for the current times. I do have to manually go in every day and change things around for certain employees. Also, it would be nice if they can only clock in and out when they are in my business. I'm not sure how far away they have to be to do this, but I've caught several instances where they clock in prior to being in my business 15-20 minutes early. Only with my cameras am I able to make sure they are being honest since I'm not in the business every day.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling, time off requests, payroll, and team messaging. It saves me money compared to ADP. My team manages everything seamlessly, and I can easily obtain tax forms and reach the team with updates.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has been a valuable tool for your small business, making scheduling, payroll, and team communication easier for you and your team. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 39. Simplifies Scheduling and Communication Efficiently

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shyanne M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I really like how easy Homebase is to use. Everyone always says it's just so easy when they sign up and they never have any issues. The scheduling and messaging system are also great. The messaging system is my favorite because I can send messages right when I think of something, and we can make group chats too. It's a great experience overall because it allows viewing of salaries and borrowing money from next week's check if needed. I also appreciate how simple it makes keeping in contact with everyone, even if they're not there for the day.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Sometimes the login process lags a little bit, and it kicks people out and doesn't let them log back in. I do wish that would be fixed.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Homebase for scheduling to keep everyone updated and in contact, simplifying communication and ensuring awareness of shifts. It allows viewing salaries, handling cash flow, and supports task management with separate conversations.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and that the scheduling and messaging systems are working well for you. We appreciate your feedback about the login process and will work to improve that experience for you. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 40. Easy Time Tracking and Attendance—Perfect for On-Site Work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick M. | Company Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Homebase made it easy to keep track of when my employee actually clocked in and out at the work truck instead of me having to text or call to confirm. The biggest benefit for me was having one simple place to check hours, see attendance, and avoid confusion about start times. It helped keep things organized and gave me more peace of mind, especially when work started on-site instead of at a fixed location.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

What I liked least was that the app could feel a little clunky at times, especially for quick mobile clock-ins when work starts on-site. For a small business, you want the process to be as simple and fast as possible. I think the web user interface for managing all of it could be more streamlined.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When you don't have an office and only have a yard to park the vehicle, Homebase helped. Employees can clock in on mobile, and I can set a geofence to make sure they’re where they say they are when they clock in.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has made tracking time and attendance easier for you, especially for on-site work. We appreciate your feedback about the app's user interface and will take it into consideration for future improvements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 41. Streamlined Staff Scheduling, Needs App Stability

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabrielle D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I really like the interface of Homebase; it's really easy to learn. I also like that I can update information as we have new staff coming and old staff leaving. It's fairly easy for me to figure out how to teach my team how to use it. It was super simple for me to set up, and I'm a pretty techie kind of girl. After introducing it to my team, they caught on quickly, and it's been fairly simple for them to use.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I would really like a feature that allows my staff to see everybody who's on the schedule and not just their own shift. I would like for them to sync the entire shift schedule to their Google Calendar, but right now they can only sync their own shifts. Our Homebase app keeps kicking us out, so I constantly have to sign back in almost every day or multiple times a day, which has been very frustrating. Another thing that could be improved is allowing my staff to adjust their days off if they've already submitted for vacation days and they change, so they could adjust and resubmit for reapproval. But right now, they have no way of adjusting.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase helps me ensure my business isn't understaffed or overworking staff, promoting fairness. It consolidates all info in one place, like shift times and time-off requests.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're glad to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and that it has been beneficial for your team. We appreciate your suggestions for improving the app's stability and features, and we will definitely take them into consideration for future updates. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 42. Effortless Time-Tracking with Robust Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase to keep track of my high school students' hours, and I really appreciate the tracking features. My favorite is the GPS tracker for clocking in and out, which ensures that students are honest about their presence. I also enjoy tracking their hours so I can compare them across different groups. The hour tracking is nice since it allows us to reward or give consequences based on the hours they log. Additionally, the initial setup of Homebase was very easy, which made the transition smooth for us.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I wish it was easier to split them into different departments, but I believe the limitation is I do not pay for that level. I would also like them to be able to see their own total hours, as they can use these hours for volunteer hours and resumes.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase helps me track my students' hours, schedule shifts, and find coverage. The GPS tracker ensures they're clocking in/out honestly, and hour tracking lets me compare their hours for rewards.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you are enjoying the GPS tracker and hour tracking features for your high school students. We appreciate your feedback about splitting into different departments and visibility of total hours, and we'll take this into consideration for future improvements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 43. Effortless Scheduling, But Integration Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase for scheduling front of house employees at my restaurant. It's great at keeping track of time off requests and continuously changing worker availability. Keeping up with documentation for each employee has also been wonderful. I love the ease of modifying or accessing schedules, and the 'frequently worked' hours feature is very helpful when creating a schedule. I'm able to make on-the-fly changes, making creating a schedule much less of a hassle than with other platforms. The initial setup was much easier compared to Aloha (Ctuit), which was awful.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The team requests need to be separate from cover requests and availability. I don't guarantee time off requests but like to see them when creating the schedule, so I'm never hitting approve. It's frustrating to sift through many time-off and availability change requests. The clock-in and pay functions should be able to be turned off. I use a separate time tracker and payroll company, so I should have the option to turn off these features to prevent employees from adding their bank information. I wish it would integrate better with PARPos somehow.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase helps me manage employee scheduling, track time-off requests and worker availability, and maintain employee documentation effortlessly.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that Homebase has been helpful in managing your employee scheduling and documentation. We appreciate your feedback about the integration and will take it into consideration for future improvements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 44. Homebase Streamlines Scheduling with Seamless Mobile Sync and Shift Reminders

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Travis C. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

What I like best about Homebase is how it streamlines our entire scheduling process. No more messy group texts or paper calendars. The fact that it syncs directly to everyone's phone means the team always knows exactly when they're working, and the automated shift reminders have basically eliminated our 'no-show' problems. It’s a total game-changer for staying organized

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Mobile App Limitations & Glitches
While the mobile app is great for quick checks, users often find it lacks the full functionality of the desktop version.

The Issue: Managers sometimes struggle to perform complex scheduling edits or view deep reporting from their phones.

Technical Snags: Some users report occasional glitches where notifications for shift swaps or messages don't come through instantly, or the GPS clock-in can be "fussy" depending on the phone's signal

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The "No-Show" & Communication Gap
The Problem: Relying on paper schedules, messy group texts, or "I didn't see the email" excuses.

The Benefit: Since the schedule lives on everyone’s phone, employees get automated shift reminders. You can see exactly who has viewed the schedule, and if someone is late, you get an instant alert—allowing you to call for backup before your customers notice a staffing gap

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Homebase has streamlined your scheduling process and improved communication within your team. Our goal is to make managing shifts as seamless as possible, and we appreciate your feedback. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 45. Easy to Use from Day One—Perfect for Scheduling and Payroll

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Holly W. | Director of Member Experience, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Homebase is easy to use from the moment you first log in. It’s straightforward for new employees, and it also works well for less tech-savvy managers.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

There really aren’t any. We initially started using it just for scheduling because it didn’t have the ability to process payroll for non-profits at the time. It was perfect for our scheduling needs, and the moment payroll became available for non-profits, we signed up.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s an all-inclusive program that can handle onboarding, scheduling, and payroll. It also includes an HR department feature, and that works well for us. They recently added the ability to run background checks, which has saved us quite a bit of money.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Homebase has been easy to use and beneficial for your scheduling and payroll needs. Thank you for sharing your positive experience! Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 46. Effortlessly Tracks Employee Hours and Payroll

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsea N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I love how Homebase is extremely easy to use and how it helps me keep track of employee hours effortlessly. It's also very helpful in notifying me when an employee is in overtime or nearing it. The request off abilities and the automated clock out option are features I particularly enjoy. Additionally, I appreciate how straightforward it is to manage payroll hours with Homebase. The notes section for management and employees to communicate important information is another aspect I find valuable. The initial setup was also incredibly easy.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Occasionally there are a few glitches, but they usually are fixed immediately.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Homebase extremely easy to use for tracking employee hours and payroll. It notifies me when someone is nearing overtime, offers convenient request-off features, and has automated clock-out. Plus, the notes section is great for management communication.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Homebase easy to use and helpful for tracking employee hours and payroll. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that the features like overtime notifications, request off abilities, and automated clock out are working well for you. We apologize for any glitches you've experienced, but we're committed to fixing them promptly. Thank you for choosing Homebase!

  ### 47. Decent Scheduling Tool, But Lacks Distinct Features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michal S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase for scheduling and timekeeping. Although I see it more as a utility, I do find seeing how many hours I'm at for the week useful since I'm not on a set schedule. It's also slightly cheaper than other solutions. The initial setup was thoughtless.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Advertising the equivalent of payday loans or 'cash out' is honestly my least favorite part of Homebase, it has nothing to do with function it just cheapens the company image. Yes, the cash out feature comes off as a payday loan, I read more into it now so I know it isn’t but that has been my impression, and the impression of everyone on my team for 3 years.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase fills the scheduling need as well as other solutions but is a bit cheaper. I find it useful for tracking my weekly hours, though the mobile layout complicates this task.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Homebase useful for tracking your weekly hours and that it's a cost-effective solution for your scheduling needs. We appreciate your feedback about the mobile layout and will take it into consideration for future improvements. Thanks for being part of the Homebase community!

  ### 48. Robust Features but Pricing Could Improve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** J Rio F. | CEO, Principal Technology Consultant, Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I find Homebase to be pretty robust in features, and its ease of use is definitely important to me. The geofencing, reporting, and alerts are critical for managing staff and holding them accountable, which leads to better time sheet and tip reporting across our staff of almost 20 individuals. The initial setup was fairly easy, especially since our GM already had experience with Homebase.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The pricing model was a bit cumbersome. I'd like a more consistent bundle of features that I don't have to constantly add-on capabilities. If the solution becomes too expensive, the inclination is to look for substitutes. Some add-on features need to be less expensive, or discounted if you reach a certain monthly pricing. We could not do more in-depth job costing, but that was a feature we desired.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase helps us with scheduling, time tracking, checklists, geofencing, and managing multiple locations. Its robustness and ease of use are valuable. Geofencing, reporting, and alerts improve staff management and accountability, leading to better timesheet and tip reporting for our 20-member team.

  ### 49. Easy Scheduling, Smooth Shift Swaps, and Better Team Communication

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evie E. | CoOwner and General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

Easy scheduling and shift swaps. Clocking in for staff is easy and the ability to leave notes on shifts is great for communication with part time staff.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I wish I could set a template for store hours and have the scheduling tool alert me when I have missed a shift. Some staff have reported issues with clocking in on the app when they have a second employer that also uses Homebase. I wish there was a way to stop the system from asking salaried employees to clock in.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase having scheduling and payroll in one platform is super helpful. Being able to manage payroll in the same platform as scheduling allows us to easily check for an errors or outliers in labor costs and clock ins.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for this thoughtful review. We're glad that scheduling, shift swaps, and shift notes have made managing your team easier — and that having scheduling and payroll in one place has streamlined your operations.

We appreciate your feedback on store hour templates, missed shift alerts, and salaried clock-in prompts. These are valuable insights that help shape our product roadmap. For the dual-employer clock-in issue, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team so we can assist directly.

We value your partnership and look forward to continuing to support your team.

  ### 50. User-Friendly and Flexible, with Plenty of Options for My Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronald T. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

It’s very user-friendly and provides plenty of options that I can use for my business, which makes it easy to tailor to what I need.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Certain things I would like to use I would have to upgrade my plan to cost me much more a month, but I wouldn’t get as much keys out of it to make it worth it. Simple things like being able to put blackout dates for employees so they can’t request days off for certain holidays or whatever. I think those should be part of any basic plan.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ease of scheduling and my employees being able to see their schedules on their phone is probably the best function. So they don’t have to be at work to know what the schedule is. They always have access to a 24 seven.

**Official Response from Tiffany Hakimianpour:**

> Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re so glad to hear Homebase feels user-friendly and flexible for your business, and that mobile access to schedules is making things easier for your team.

We also appreciate your honest feedback about plan features like blackout dates. We understand how important those tools can be, and we’ll share your input with our team as we continue evaluating plan offerings and improvements.

Thanks again for sharing your experience with Homebase!
