**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I really like the interface of Homebase; it's really easy to learn. I also like that I can update information as we have new staff coming and old staff leaving. It's fairly easy for me to figure out how to teach my team how to use it. It was super simple for me to set up, and I'm a pretty techie kind of girl. After introducing it to my team, they caught on quickly, and it's been fairly simple for them to use.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I would really like a feature that allows my staff to see everybody who's on the schedule and not just their own shift. I would like for them to sync the entire shift schedule to their Google Calendar, but right now they can only sync their own shifts. Our Homebase app keeps kicking us out, so I constantly have to sign back in almost every day or multiple times a day, which has been very frustrating. Another thing that could be improved is allowing my staff to adjust their days off if they've already submitted for vacation days and they change, so they could adjust and resubmit for reapproval. But right now, they have no way of adjusting.

Homebase helps me ensure my business isn't understaffed or overworking staff, promoting fairness. It consolidates all info in one place, like shift times and time-off requests.

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase to keep track of my high school students' hours, and I really appreciate the tracking features. My favorite is the GPS tracker for clocking in and out, which ensures that students are honest about their presence. I also enjoy tracking their hours so I can compare them across different groups. The hour tracking is nice since it allows us to reward or give consequences based on the hours they log. Additionally, the initial setup of Homebase was very easy, which made the transition smooth for us.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I wish it was easier to split them into different departments, but I believe the limitation is I do not pay for that level. I would also like them to be able to see their own total hours, as they can use these hours for volunteer hours and resumes.

Homebase helps me track my students' hours, schedule shifts, and find coverage. The GPS tracker ensures they're clocking in/out honestly, and hour tracking lets me compare their hours for rewards.

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I use Homebase for scheduling front of house employees at my restaurant. It's great at keeping track of time off requests and continuously changing worker availability. Keeping up with documentation for each employee has also been wonderful. I love the ease of modifying or accessing schedules, and the 'frequently worked' hours feature is very helpful when creating a schedule. I'm able to make on-the-fly changes, making creating a schedule much less of a hassle than with other platforms. The initial setup was much easier compared to Aloha (Ctuit), which was awful.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The team requests need to be separate from cover requests and availability. I don't guarantee time off requests but like to see them when creating the schedule, so I'm never hitting approve. It's frustrating to sift through many time-off and availability change requests. The clock-in and pay functions should be able to be turned off. I use a separate time tracker and payroll company, so I should have the option to turn off these features to prevent employees from adding their bank information. I wish it would integrate better with PARPos somehow.

What I like best about Homebase is how it streamlines our entire scheduling process. No more messy group texts or paper calendars. The fact that it syncs directly to everyone's phone means the team always knows exactly when they're working, and the automated shift reminders have basically eliminated our 'no-show' problems. It’s a total game-changer for staying organized

While the mobile app is great for quick checks, users often find it lacks the full functionality of the desktop version.

Homebase is easy to use from the moment you first log in. It’s straightforward for new employees, and it also works well for less tech-savvy managers.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

There really aren’t any. We initially started using it just for scheduling because it didn’t have the ability to process payroll for non-profits at the time. It was perfect for our scheduling needs, and the moment payroll became available for non-profits, we signed up.

It’s an all-inclusive program that can handle onboarding, scheduling, and payroll. It also includes an HR department feature, and that works well for us. They recently added the ability to run background checks, which has saved us quite a bit of money.

I use Homebase to keep my summer employees organized and informed on what's going on at the club. Homebase saves me time and energy, and I honestly think that I couldn't do my job without it. The initial setup was easy, and it seamlessly integrates with my workflow.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Well now that you ask... there used to be a place at the top of each day's schedule where I could put a special event for the day. That is missing from my screen this summer. I wish I knew where to get it or how to put it back.

I love how Homebase is extremely easy to use and how it helps me keep track of employee hours effortlessly. It's also very helpful in notifying me when an employee is in overtime or nearing it. The request off abilities and the automated clock out option are features I particularly enjoy. Additionally, I appreciate how straightforward it is to manage payroll hours with Homebase. The notes section for management and employees to communicate important information is another aspect I find valuable. The initial setup was also incredibly easy.

Occasionally there are a few glitches, but they usually are fixed immediately.

I use Homebase for scheduling and timekeeping. Although I see it more as a utility, I do find seeing how many hours I'm at for the week useful since I'm not on a set schedule. It's also slightly cheaper than other solutions. The initial setup was thoughtless.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Advertising the equivalent of payday loans or 'cash out' is honestly my least favorite part of Homebase, it has nothing to do with function it just cheapens the company image. Yes, the cash out feature comes off as a payday loan, I read more into it now so I know it isn’t but that has been my impression, and the impression of everyone on my team for 3 years.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homebase fills the scheduling need as well as other solutions but is a bit cheaper. I find it useful for tracking my weekly hours, though the mobile layout complicates this task.

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

I find Homebase to be pretty robust in features, and its ease of use is definitely important to me. The geofencing, reporting, and alerts are critical for managing staff and holding them accountable, which leads to better time sheet and tip reporting across our staff of almost 20 individuals. The initial setup was fairly easy, especially since our GM already had experience with Homebase.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

The pricing model was a bit cumbersome. I'd like a more consistent bundle of features that I don't have to constantly add-on capabilities. If the solution becomes too expensive, the inclination is to look for substitutes. Some add-on features need to be less expensive, or discounted if you reach a certain monthly pricing. We could not do more in-depth job costing, but that was a feature we desired.

Homebase helps us with scheduling, time tracking, checklists, geofencing, and managing multiple locations. Its robustness and ease of use are valuable. Easy scheduling and shift swaps. Clocking in for staff is easy and the ability to leave notes on shifts is great for communication with part time staff.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I wish I could set a template for store hours and have the scheduling tool alert me when I have missed a shift. Some staff have reported issues with clocking in on the app when they have a second employer that also uses Homebase. I wish there was a way to stop the system from asking salaried employees to clock in.

Homebase having scheduling and payroll in one platform is super helpful. Being able to manage payroll in the same platform as scheduling allows us to easily check for an errors or outliers in labor costs and clock ins.

**What do you like best about Homebase?**

It’s very user-friendly and provides plenty of options that I can use for my business, which makes it easy to tailor to what I need.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Certain things I would like to use I would have to upgrade my plan to cost me much more a month, but I wouldn’t get as much keys out of it to make it worth it. Simple things like being able to put blackout dates for employees so they can’t request days off for certain holidays or whatever. I think those should be part of any basic plan.

**What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ease of scheduling and my employees being able to see their schedules on their phone is probably the best function. So they don’t have to be at work to know what the schedule is. They always have access to a 24 seven.

Homebase has been a solid tool for our business. Scheduling is straightforward and quick to update, even when things change last minute. Staff can see their shifts, swap when needed, and message each other without a lot of confusion.

Payroll is simple because it ties directly to time tracking. Hours flow through correctly, and running payroll doesn’t take much time. It cuts down on mistakes and extra work.

Overall, it does what we need without being complicated. It saves time and keeps things organized.

I find Homebase very simple to use, and it's easy to set up new users. I like that all the features in the free package are included, which means I can use it comfortably. It doesn't take me very long to do what I need to do, which is always useful. Also, I can ensure that new employees get their notifications from Homebase quickly and easily. The initial setup was very straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I don't think the mobile app is as strong as the web browser-based app. It would be better if you were able to replicate right mouse clicks in the mobile app.

Homebase allows me to quickly and flexibly manage staff rotas and change shifts as required, saving time and ensuring new employees receive notifications easily.

I love the way Homebase handles payroll; it's seamless and really easy to use. The same goes for the time sheets, they're super easy to use. I appreciate being able to take care of payroll, time sheets, and employee engagement on the go. Running reports is no problem at all. The initial setup wasn't hard, it was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

I don't like the fact that it doesn't integrate directly with QuickBooks. Or that I can't integrate it with my EVV caregiving software. Also you have to wait for a live agent to call you back sometimes can be more than an hour not good.

Homebase lets me handle payroll, timesheets, and employee engagement on the go. It's easy to use, especially for payroll and timesheets, and I can run reports with no problem.

I don't like that some features are behind paywalls, I wish there was an option to make your own plan or pick a few features that you can add for a smaller price than upgrading the whole package

I love how easy Homebase is to learn and use for payroll, onboarding, scheduling, and vacation time tracking. The scheduling features are great and simple to use, and the onboarding features make the process seamless by pushing forms and payroll information to new hires, reducing data entry errors. I especially like the GPS tracking for clock-in and clock-out, ensuring employees are clocking in on site. The software is intuitive, looks good for users, and the customer service is quick, kind, and just one click away. The initial setup was easy, and I had help from the Homebase customer service staff when I needed it. I recommend Homebase all the time to my business colleagues.

The initial setup was very easy, and while there was a small learning curve, the options available were pretty good.

Sometimes it's not as smooth as it could be. Like, when I'm trying to make quick changes to the schedule, it can feel a little slower and take more steps than expected. We currently do payroll with a spreadsheet that is transferred to Quickbooks and it is simple to pull from Homebase to there. I think this whole process could be smoother, but our board of directors chooses Homebase and is pleased with the process.

It is sometimes very glitchy and doesn't let people clock in and out and then an admin has to do it for them. Additionally, I can do payroll from my phone if I don't have my laptop nearby, making it extremely easy to work with. I also appreciate that Homebase automates quarterly tax returns and other tax-related tasks, which used to be my responsibility. The initial setup was fairly easy and entirely online, and I love that a friend referred me to it.

The only little issue is if the employee did not request time off through the app, and I have to manually put it in. Then if I have to correct it, it's a few more steps. So I have to remember how to figure out how to correct that, and sometimes that's a little difficult.

It's a bit of a bummer that we couldn't clock in using our older iPads because the software is too new or whatever. I like Homebase for its ease of use and how my employees can clock in and out using the app, especially the Apple app. It's very simple to use, which is great for my business and easy for my employees to understand. It was pretty simple to set up and get going. I switched to Homebase from using physical cards because of its ease of use and how employees can just punch in a code assigned to them.

I guess we pay their breaks, but we still ask them to clock in and out. So a functionality where I could select for them to receive paid breaks, instead of having to manually change time, would be helpful.

I like how convenient Homebase is. It's really easy to get the schedule in there on the computer. I find it works much better on the computer for adding shifts for our associates. I love the convenience of notifications via email and text so that all staff can be easily informed about their shifts, allowing them to quickly see on their phone where they need to be, what day, and at what time. It's helpful to have notifications as a reference in email form to check back on new shifts, and text messaging is great for quick access to information. I also appreciate the chat feature that allows communication between associates and with me when needed.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

A couple of times, I've had some of our associates mention that a shift that was initially scheduled got deleted, but it was still showing up on their end. They ended up showing up for a canceled shift because it was still showing up on their calendar and on their Homebase app. I couldn't see it anymore on my end, so I'm not sure why it was still showing up on their end, even though it had been deleted.

I like that the chat feature and notes and managing employees is all rolled into one. It makes it very convenient and efficient and saves me a lot of time and searching on my phone for the different tasks that normally would be separate. Homebase is really super convenient and nice because instead of having to go to separate apps or separate scheduling or pay apps, it's all integrated. As a manager, you're always trying to squeeze out extra minutes in the day, and Homebase seems to be enough. So I really like the efficiency that it creates.

I think Homebase could improve by having a calendar feature in the app that employees can see, like an iCal. That visually might be better for some of us who like to see things in that manner. It can make it easier to see how many time off requests someone has requested in a month and might help employees get the days right when requesting time off.

I like that Homebase is easy to use and very user-friendly. Even the app is awesome. Running three hotels with 20 to 25 associates each, Homebase keeps all of them abreast of their schedule with minimal effort on our part. I love the bulk add feature, and adding or terminating associates is very simple. It even helps track budgeting by allowing me to input their pay rates. The request off situation has become much more organized than it used to be, and switching from the ADP scheduling software to Homebase made everything easier. My initial experience with Homebase was so positive that I added it to the other three properties.

Nothing. It's a very good product.

I like the user interface and the cash out option. Customer service has been helpful as well. The user interface is very straightforward and easy to use, which makes tracking my hours hassle-free. The cash out feature helps when I need a little extra money between checks. Plus, the customer service has been able to push back a cash out repayment date if my paycheck is ever delayed. The initial setup was easy, just download and go through the process.

The only complaint I have is the GPS feature seems to lag sometimes and I’m unable to clock in/out because it doesn’t recognize where I am. This could be my cell coverage too though.

I love the fact that I can send a message to my coworker if it's their birthday, telling them happy birthday. It's really convenient to be able to digitally send them an emoji and a few words. Also, I like that I can easily look up the days I have scheduled off and make adjustments if needed, like canceling a day off. If I forget to clock in, I can go back into Homebase and do it, or my supervisor can clock me in. The setup process for Homebase was easy, especially if you're computer savvy. Even if I had encountered problems, the customer service is very responsive and answers as soon as you call.

One of my favorite features is the Manager log, which is great for noting additional items like call outs, leaving early, paid time off, and unpaid time off, all in a list format. The note section on the employee's schedule is handy for daily reminders, especially if someone is covering another role or leaving early. The initial setup was easy, particularly when new employees are hired; they just need to download the app and follow the invite email link.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

We recently discovered that if the employee had already time off approved in Gusto payroll, and you list that day as paid time off on Homebase, when the report gets transmitted, it double processes the paid time off, and the employee gets paid twice. Instead of 8 hours requested, it gets processed as 16 hours.

I use Homebase mainly for time tracking, which is one of the main things I like about it. I also find it useful for managing timesheets, time off, and messaging employees. They have a messaging feature that makes back-and-forth communication with employees or anyone involved in the company really easy. Another aspect I love is their reporting, especially how it compares actual hours to scheduled hours, which is really helpful.

I have an issue with getting some employees active on Homebase. It worked well for most, but for a couple, it didn't go as planned. There is one employee whose account we have been struggling to activate, and I know the issue isn't on our end but with Homebase.

I like that it has multiple features in one platform. For example, I found that I could not find a communication tool, payroll, HR and scheduling platform all in one.  Homebase is the only platform that does it all.  It is also really easy to use and understand.  My staff also love that it shows how much money they make each shift.  The Onboarding is easy and customer service is also so helpful.

**What do you dislike about Homebase?**

Like all platforms, there is a learning curve.  I feel like I could better optimize how I use the platform and could benefit from some 1:1 tutorials that are specific to my business.

Solving Payroll - It is so easy to complete payroll. I review timesheets and the calculations are all done within the system.  I love how easy that is.  I use the HR function for background checks. I use the messaging for team discussion.  It is all encomassing.
