“Datarails Makes Monthly Reporting and Budgeting Seamless”
What do you like best about Datarails?

The product makes my monthly processes a lot easier. I hold management account meetings once a month and it allows me to pull numbers from the system with ease. We have just gone through our budget process using datarails and it has been one of the easiest processes. Everything gets consolidated automatically and we can do review of the figures very easily which makes things a lot more seemless. I also like how the older versions of the files are all hosted on the platform which means if theres a mistake you can roll back the file very easily Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

There are a few quirks. nothing that is system breaking but you definately need to learn how to use the systems before you have a full grasp of all the features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?

As i mentioned earlier with our budget process it means that the numbers can be shared automatically and will update across all reports in the system meaning less time spent updating reports or recalculating overall figures. Also with monthly management accounts the numbers are available in a view on the system with the click of a button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Great tool for scalable enterprise planning”
What do you like best about Anaplan?

The flexibility of the platform and its calculation engine are the biggest strengths. Anaplan allows you to model complex business logic in a transparent, scalable way without relying on traditional code, which makes it easier to iterate quickly as requirements change.

I also really value the dimensional modeling approach and the ability to connect planning across multiple functions in a single platform. From a model builder perspective, the ecosystem (UX, ALM, integrations, community, and enablement resources) makes it easier to maintain governance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Anaplan?

Anaplan has a steep learning curve and requires disciplined model design to stay scalable.

Anaplan is not ideal for highly transactional use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Anaplan solving and how is that benefiting you?

Anaplan replaces fragmented spreadsheet-based planning with a connected platform that supports advanced forecasting, rapid scenario analysis, and governed processes. This results in faster planning cycles, better forecast accuracy, improved transparency, and more reliable model management as solutions scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Workiva: User-Friendly Collaboration with Powerful Automation and Reporting”
What do you like best about Workiva?

The Workiva application has a user-friendly interface and strong collaboration capabilities, along with workflow automation, audit trails that support transparency, and solid data management and reporting features. Users appreciate being able to create multiple reports from a single source of data, the ease of configuration, and the seamless integration with enterprise systems. The platform’s real-time collaboration tools, validation checks, audit trails, and user access controls are especially valued because they help reduce manual work and errors, while keeping information current and consistent across linked documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workiva?

Workiva has limited functionality compared with Excel features. It also has a steep learning curve and does not allow users to edit and work on existing Microsoft documents, requiring users to create new spreadsheets instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?

“Real-Time Data Sync Revolutionizes Financial Reporting”
What do you like best about LiveFlow?

The most impactful part of LiveFlow is the automated, real-time data sync. In the past, our financial reporting was always lagging. By the time we manually pulled reports from QuickBooks into Google Sheets, the data was already several days old. Especially when we're waiting for a third party team to reconcile our account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LiveFlow?

The initial setup of complex, custom-mapped reports can take a little bit of time. However, the LiveFlow support team is super responsive and helps bridge that gap quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LiveFlow solving and how is that benefiting you?

We struggled with accurate cash flow forecasting. Because our actuals were updated manually, our forecasts were often based on outdated assumptions.

LiveFlow solves this by keeping our actuals current. This has made forecasting so much easier because we can now see our real-time cash position and runway at a glance. It allows us to perform instant variance analysis and make strategic pivots based on what is happening now, rather than what happened last month. It has saved our finance team hours of spreadsheet gymnastics every week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Started strong, but fell off in the second year”
What do you like best about Sprinto?

The platform itself is solid and easy to use, with sufficient prompting to ensure evidence collection is done on time and is pretty thorough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sprinto?

Not sure what happened, but in my second year with Sprinto I was told that they wanted to swap out my auditors due to a broken relationship. This was news to the auditors, but now I'm not hearing anything from Sprinto or the new auditors. Messages seem to be going into a black hole, and my CSM seems to have gone AWOL. The platform is still solid and works well, but the customer service has seriously declined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sprinto solving and how is that benefiting you?

We purchased Sprinto to help us achieve ISO27001:2023 compliance. Having gone through SOC2 Types 1 and 2, ISO9001, and other audits with other tools, the Sprinto experience was seamless and helped us achieve compliance in record time. “Drivetrain Replaced Excel and Automated Our Reporting with Actionable Insights”
What do you like best about Drivetrain?

Drivetrain has helped us move away from Excel for reporting and budgeting. We’ve been able to generate a lot of useful insights for different teams, and it’s also allowed us to automate much of our reporting process, which has made things more consistent and easier to manage.

The implementation (& overall customer support team) has been very smooth and there was an amazing collaboration with the team to bring us up to speed and allow us to be mostly self sufficient. It integrates with most of our tools natively and if it doesn't there are always workarounds (API, csv, googlesheet, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Drivetrain?

There’s a learning curve, and it takes some involvement and curiosity to get the most out of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Drivetrain solving and how is that benefiting you?

We moved away from legacy Excel reports that were difficult to maintain and keep up to date. Since then, our budgeting time has decreased significantly. Drivetrain also lets us do scenario modeling and easily compare outputs, which makes it much simpler to evaluate different assumptions and see the impact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“THE Answer to so many FP&A Challenges for Scaling Organizations”
What do you like best about Aleph?

Time to value: We were live and able to answer BOD questions with confidence within two weeks.

Adaptability: We’ve been able to leverage Aleph in a lot of ways to meet the needs and asks of the business, and we’ve also been able to pivot quickly when we need to think about the business differently.

Customer Success: They’re always available to meet within 24 hours to help ideate or solve complex situations. They truly feel like a partner and an extension of our FP&A team.

Scalability: Being in tech, the business is in high growth through both organic and inorganic methods. Aleph has handled both with ease, which gives us long-term stability in our financial reporting function.

Solves for disparate systems: With the integration and the ability to load manual data into the platform and map it into BvA tables, we can look at financial data coming from seven different accounting systems in a uniform way. This speeds up reporting, forecasting, and insights into business performance.

Drill-down functionality: We can see underlying data in seconds without leaving the file we’re in, which saves time when putting together flux commentary.

AI capabilities: The ability to have Aleph take a first pass at P&L commentary is huge. In addition, being able to dictate how it looks at the data upfront makes it even more scalable (department first vs. GL, or vendor first, then department, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aleph?

There is some complexity in the setup for consolidating data tables that I don't necessarily understand (although I have not tried). This is easily solved with support from their Customer Success org or if I had a more technical mind on my team, they'd likely easily navigate this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Centralized Data and Easy Automation Make Planful a Standout”
What do you like best about Planful?

The thing I like most about planful is that it provides a platform to centralize and store data from many different sources. It also has a n ease of use when I need to access and manipulate that data which makes it easy to share and teach new users. I also like planful templates. They provide the ability to automate some of our more structured budget and forecast processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Planful?

At the moment we are having an issue with the amount of time it takes planful to process data and run through template processing. It is making it difficult to update our forecast/budgets in a timely manner as well as making the process to update and make changes long and arduous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Planful solving and how is that benefiting you?

The option to build automated budgeting and forecasting processes using templates has helped us reduce the number of extra Excel files required to update our models. It also enables us to consolidate our data in a single location, making it easier to compare various metrics within the same platform and spot any errors in our modeling. “Compliance without the usual headaches”
What do you like best about Complyance?

I like that the platform makes compliance feel manageable. It guides you through the steps, shows you where gaps exist, and makes it obvious what’s already covered. The automation features are especially useful — they save hours of repetitive work and reduce the risk of missing something important. It feels like a system designed for real users, not just for auditors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Complyance?

Nothing significant comes to mind. Sometimes the notifications can feel a little persistent if deadlines are close, but in practice that’s a good thing because it prevents anything from slipping through the cracks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Complyance solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before, compliance work was fragmented and often left until the last minute. Now, it’s an ongoing process that feels much more under control. “An extremely useful tool to produce client management accounts and consolidations from Xero”
What do you like best about Joiin?

The support and development teams are very responsive to suggestions and development improvements are currently proceeding at a good pace.

The software was easy to implement with good documentation. I use the software every month for producing client management accounts from Xero and every 1/2 year for producing consolidated management accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Joiin?

There is currently no forecasting capability within Joiin. The presentation capabilities with regards to branding are currently not fully there with regards to customising cover sheets.

The automatic adjustments with regards to currency translation differences need to be filtered to enable the report to look more presentable.

It isn't currently quite as comprehensive with regards to features as, for example, Syft and Futrli but I'm sure that this will be addressed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Delivering business value through an intuitive interface”
What do you like best about Apliqo?

Apliqo is built from its foundations with the end user experience in mind. It offers an intuitive interface, place on top of any type of business problem for planning and reporting.

It can integrate Excel input in the same front end, so end users can decide if they want to prepare data outside of the web-front end and load their results, or work directly in the tool. This combination allows users the freedom they need and desire to work in a way that suits them best.

The ideas behind the applications are always aimed towards ease of maintenance, a uniform look and feel and a do-it-yourself approach where IT involvement is limited to a minimum and business users can be autonoumous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apliqo?

It is a not a drag-and-drop tool for do it yourself dashboarding. But it is also not intended to be this. The target of Apliqo is rolling out applications to a group of end users that can get going without the need for extensive trainings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apliqo solving and how is that benefiting you?

We mainly use Apliqo (both UX and FPM) for internal reporting. We use it for our day-to-day timesheets, our (financial) month end close, dashboarding and reporting.

The operational model is tracking our projects on a day-to-day basis, provinding an overview of budgets-to-date, time spent (hours/days), expenses tracking. Our users are entering information on a daily basis.

For the financial closing we are currently utilising the P&L/Balance sheet reporting layer across our region, based on input from various countries, coming from different data sources (accounting systems).

“The C1Risk Platform has helped streamline our GRC processes and procedures.”
What do you like best about C1Risk?

Each year when completing our audit cycles, we know our evidence is valid, where to find it, and that it is linked to the right controls. As a law firm, this is helpful because we are audited not only to maintain our certifications, but by our clients to maintain their business. The C1Risk platform helps us to stay organized and has taken so much overhead off the process of all these audits because we are able to use it for to produce the needed evidence for every audit situation. The product also continues to grow with our needs year over year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about C1Risk?

There is very little to dislike about the product. The only thing I have found is minor UI preferences such as column sizing and such, but it isn’t anything that truly changes the way the product works Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is C1Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?

C1Risk helped us take a very manual process of maintaining our ISO/IEC 27001 certification evidence and streamline that process. We then adapted that process and expanded it to our client audits and our review of our client requirements. The C1Risk platform allowed us to take processes that required many hours of work for several people and cut it down to a repeatable and automated process that runs for us and allows us to oversee it and now find ourselves ahead of our schedule instead of running behind or being frantic when audit time came around. We are confident in our evidence and no longer have to cut corners to make our deadlines because the administrative work has been reduced so much. We are able to go into audits fully prepared, and collect the complete collection of evidence for the year, which helps with all client audits as well throughout the year so we are fully prepared for anything requested of the security team at all times. What problems is Acterys solving and how is that benefiting you?

Acterys solves several critical problems in corporate finance, performance management, and analytics by automating, centralizing, and enhancing planning, reporting, and data integration.

Main Problems Acterys Solves

Problem: Budgeting and forecasting are often done in Excel, shared via email, leading to errors, version control issues, and inefficiency.

Acterys Solution: Centralized, database-driven planning and write-back directly in Excel and Power BI, with real-time collaboration, version control, and workflows.

Problem: Companies have data scattered across ERPs, CRMs, and other systems, making reporting and consolidation slow and error-prone.

Acterys Solution: Automated data integration from 80+ sources (e.g., SAP, Xero, Dynamics, Salesforce) with pre-built connectors and data modeling automation.

Problem: Multi-entity consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and currency translation are done manually and take weeks.

Acterys Solution: Built-in financial consolidation engine handles:

Multi-entity structures

Intercompany eliminations

Currency conversion

Audit trail and compliance (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)

Problem: Reports are outdated by the time they're shared, and scenario modeling is cumbersome or not possible.

Acterys Solution: Live, self-service reporting and dashboards in Power BI, with:

Real-time data refresh

What-if analysis

Driver-based planning

AI-powered forecasting

Problem: Business teams depend on IT for report changes, model updates, or new data sources.

Acterys Solution: Low-code/no-code tools allow finance and business users to build and manage models, reports, and plans independently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
