What do you like best about Datarails?

I like the seamless use in practice, I was not heavily involved in the integration of the software however I am a heavy user of the software, and it is seamless and faultless, it takes care of everything for you, it's integrated with some of our outdated software and has sped up reporting by 4-5 Days, the software is easy to use and the UI is easy to understand,, and there are resources available to allow for further guidance, I was not involved in the pricing discussion however whatever was paid it has made my work life easier Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Data rails is solving processing and manual processes, previously we would have to re-paste any new data on top of old data every time a change was made, now with data rails, we just refresh and it's done, it's a massive time saver and also takes away some of the headache of remembering whether the data is the most recent Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Optro, the great ally in Risk Management, Controls, and Audits”
What do you like best about Optro?

Auditboard is a tool for managing everything related to the application of audits, findings, auditable entities, among other strong features that the tool possesses. However, a very strong point is its great capacity for customization of Dashboard-type indicators, thanks to the tool it natively includes, Power BI. The possibilities with this integration are only limited by imagination. Any metric and Dashboard can be achieved, which will be natively integrated into the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Optro?

An area of opportunity that can be improved is increasing the possibilities in managing user information, being able to fully construct the personnel hierarchies, something that is addressed through Power BI, but it can undoubtedly be much better naturally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Optro solving and how is that benefiting you?

With Auditboard, we solve the problem of working under a single methodology, as well as managing results, findings, and action plans. We also unify the Dashboard-type Indicators, which will always be ready and updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Endless Solution for Finance professionals”
What do you like best about Vena?

Vena has no limits and you can build anything yWhat I like best about Vena is how effectively it combines the flexibility and familiarity of Excel with strong controls, workflow, and data integrity. It allows finance teams to maintain Excel-based models while adding version control, audit trails, approvals, and centralized data, which significantly improves collaboration and accuracy during budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The tight integration with financial systems also helps ensure consistency between actuals and plans, reducing manual work and reconciliation effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vena?

One of the main drawbacks of Vena is that, because it is heavily Excel‑based, performance can slow down with very large models or complex workbooks, especially during peak budgeting cycles. There can also be a learning curve for non‑finance users, as success in Vena still depends on solid Excel skills and understanding of the underlying model structure. Additionally, making structural changes (such as redesigning models or hierarchies) can require more setup time and coordination than more rigid, form‑based planning tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?

Vena is solving several core planning and coordination challenges that finance teams typically face, and that has delivered clear, day‑to‑day benefits for us.

First, it significantly streamlines budgeting and forecasting cycles. We can run multiple iterations of the budget or forecast in a very short period of time, allowing us to quickly model different scenarios, respond to leadership questions, and incorporate new assumptions without starting from scratch each time. Everything lives in one centralized platform, which eliminates version confusion and reduces time spent reconciling files.

Second, Vena greatly improves cross‑department collaboration. Different departments can work simultaneously within the same system, follow structured workflows, and submit their inputs through controlled processes. This creates better accountability, clearer ownership, and faster turnaround, while still allowing Finance to maintain oversight, consistency, and data integrity.

Third, Vena solves the disconnect between workforce planning and operating expense planning. By linking headcount, compensation, and workforce assumptions directly to OPEX budgets, we gain a much clearer view of the true cost drivers of the organization. This alignment improves forecast accuracy, enables more meaningful variance analysis, and supports more informed decision‑making around hiring and resource allocation.

Overall, Vena allows us to plan faster, collaborate better, and connect financial drivers in a way that supports both operational and strategic decision‑making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Strong SOC 2 Compliance Framework, but the Experience Declines After Year One”
What do you like best about Sprinto?

Sprinto provides strong enough framework of compliance checks, periodic reminders and historical evidence necessary to complete SOC 2 audit.

1 year onboarding was good enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sprinto?

After the first year of using Sprinto, our overall impression has become worse.

Not all important integrations are supported. For example, Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender for Cloud are missing.

There are also issues with the timing of periodic checks. For example, failed checks for periodic information security training appeared two months after the training should have been completed.

Dr. Sprinto is also unreliable. It constantly fails to send telemetry from team computers automatically, which turns the process into a manual exercise of reminding everyone to restore Dr. Sprinto reporting.

What makes this worse is that the support team does not seem to acknowledge these issues. Responses to simple questions take up to two weeks, and the replies usually suggest that everything is working correctly on Sprinto’s side and that the problems are on our side. What problems is Sprinto solving and how is that benefiting you?

“Replaced Colossal Excel Files and Pivot Tables with Easy-to-Use Templates”
What do you like best about Aleph?

Before Aleph, I had to prepare our management reports using several colossal Excel files, troubleshoot errors caused by external links, and hunt down tips and tricks to make my pivot tables display data at the most difficult intersections of our reporting dimensions. With Aleph, I can replace all of that with a few reporting templates in manageable file sizes, and I can delegate the work to colleagues with intermediate Excel skills. Aleph is THAT easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aleph?

I have been using Aleph for over a year, and I have not come across anything about Aleph that I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Aleph solving and how is that benefiting you?

Aleph Connect makes it easy for me to develop highly customized reports. With Aleph Explore and its drilldowns, I can respond to questions and ad hoc requests on the fly. I also no longer have to deal with large Excel files crashing. And when Accounting makes a last-minute adjustment to the month-end financial results, updating the management reports is only a few keystrokes away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Fast Real-Time Reporting and Scalable Multidimensional Modeling in Anaplan”
What do you like best about Anaplan?

What I like most about Anaplan is the Polaris engine. Its sparse data approach gives us more flexibility with dimensionality without constantly running into space constraints. Data Orchestrator has also reduced our reliance on third-party integration tools by acting as a built-in hub for push/pull data flows. Workflow has made approvals and task handoffs much smoother across teams, and the recent NUX updates have made dashboards noticeably more intuitive to use. I also see a lot of potential in the new Co-Modeler to speed up model building and project deployment through AI-assisted configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Anaplan?

The downsides are that the UX features aren’t very flexible compared to other reporting tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Anaplan solving and how is that benefiting you?

Anaplan is solving problems across supply chain and financial planning. It is helpful for planning and scenario-based use cases. Previously, users used to maintain different Excel files and versions for their zone and product, and consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting were challenging tasks. Anaplan provides a single platform where they can plan and report, and the reconciliation can be calculated by the platform itself according to the design built for that application. It has various connection with third party platform which make it easier to load data and report them and use them for planning Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Streamlined Reporting with Room for Improvement”
What do you like best about Workiva?

I use Workiva for SEC filing, reporting with W Data, and other minor entities. I like how Workiva keeps our version control in check and allows for commenting and workflow on shared documents. It also enables us to conduct SOX testing, perform markups, and handle sample selections and requests efficiently. I'm glad we did the initial setup ourselves because it was very educational, which made us more familiar with the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workiva?

Some areas that can be improved are markups, uploading support for audit and SOX testing. The sampling tool isn't as useful as I would like it to be, plus the request section and attaching things to spreadsheets can be a little finicky. The initial setup took much longer than I thought because we did it on our own without paying for a catered experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Real-Time Data Sync Revolutionizes Financial Reporting”
What do you like best about LiveFlow?

The most impactful part of LiveFlow is the automated, real-time data sync. In the past, our financial reporting was always lagging. By the time we manually pulled reports from QuickBooks into Google Sheets, the data was already several days old. Especially when we're waiting for a third party team to reconcile our account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LiveFlow?

The initial setup of complex, custom-mapped reports can take a little bit of time. However, the LiveFlow support team is super responsive and helps bridge that gap quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LiveFlow solving and how is that benefiting you?

We struggled with accurate cash flow forecasting. Because our actuals were updated manually, our forecasts were often based on outdated assumptions.

LiveFlow solves this by keeping our actuals current. This has made forecasting so much easier because we can now see our real-time cash position and runway at a glance. It allows us to perform instant variance analysis and make strategic pivots based on what is happening now, rather than what happened last month. It has saved our finance team hours of spreadsheet gymnastics every week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Intuitive GRC Platform with Unmatched Support and Fast Deployment”
What do you like best about Complyance?

The platform is far more intuitive than past tools I’ve used, such as Archer or Prevalent. Uploading our organizational data and the overall deployment led by the Complyance team were superior to any platform I’ve worked with previously. The Complyance team is meticulous and genuinely supportive; the way they developed our environment, along with the pace of deployment, meant the entire effort took only a few months from start to finish.

Their ongoing support, regular meetings, and backend services have been unmatched in my 50 years of IT deployments. On top of that, the Complyance team’s friendly, competent approach and diverse skill set helped ensure a smooth migration to this GRC solution.

The features and capabilities, along with the incorporation of AI, are a real selling point. “Essential ERM: Intuitive, Interconnected Risk Management Made Easy”
What do you like best about Essential ERM?

An automated must-have tool for Risk & Compliance managers to obtain a clear view of their risks universe and mitigating controls (whether existing or proposed).

I found the Essential ERM interface intuitive and user friendly to navigate through. Risks were easy to set up and link with others, creating a principal risk, sub-risks, and a risk scenario hierarchy. There was no need to build complex procedures and coding.

I like the connection between objectives, risks, causes, consequences, mitigation strategies, mitigating actions, key risk indicators (KRIs), sub-risks, and more. This interconnected approach provides a comprehensive view of risk management, which is essential for ensuring nothing slips through the cracks, in this fast paced world that we now operate in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential ERM?

Not being able to upload documents to support risk or control reviews. A dedicated area for outstanding action items from all reviews for a company or a portfolio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Essential ERM solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed a "one stop" software that helps us to track the "essential" components of our ERM program, while maintaining a simple and easy to use platform.

Essential ERM from Tracker networks did that while staying under our budget. The development team is also very responsive and will assist with solving problems once it is verified as a true need.

The visualization of the risk through the bow-tie gives a nice overview of where we are while the heat map tells us quickly where we want to be. The KRI Monitoring really shows graphically where we are out of line and what to adjust to get back in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Drivetrain has helped us move away from Excel for reporting and budgeting. We’ve been able to generate a lot of useful insights for different teams, and it’s also allowed us to automate much of our reporting process, which has made things more consistent and easier to manage.

The implementation (& overall customer support team) has been very smooth and there was an amazing collaboration with the team to bring us up to speed and allow us to be mostly self sufficient. What do you like best about Acterys?

Acterys is especially helpful for organizations looking to streamline and automate their financial planning, reporting, and analytics—all within familiar tools like Power BI and Excel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acterys?

The fees of the acterys consultants are high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Acterys solving and how is that benefiting you?

Acterys solves several critical problems in corporate finance, performance management, and analytics by automating, centralizing, and enhancing planning, reporting, and data integration.

Main Problems Acterys Solves

Problem: Budgeting and forecasting are often done in Excel, shared via email, leading to errors, version control issues, and inefficiency.

Acterys Solution: Centralized, database-driven planning and write-back directly in Excel and Power BI, with real-time collaboration, version control, and workflows.

Problem: Companies have data scattered across ERPs, CRMs, and other systems, making reporting and consolidation slow and error-prone.

Acterys Solution: Automated data integration from 80+ sources (e.g., SAP, Xero, Dynamics, Salesforce) with pre-built connectors and data modeling automation.

Problem: Multi-entity consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and currency translation are done manually and take weeks.

Acterys Solution: Built-in financial consolidation engine handles:

Multi-entity structures

Intercompany eliminations

Currency conversion

Audit trail and compliance (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)

Problem: Reports are outdated by the time they're shared, and scenario modeling is cumbersome or not possible.

Acterys Solution: Live, self-service reporting and dashboards in Power BI, with:

Real-time data refresh

What-if analysis

Driver-based planning

“Martus: Streamlined, Secure Budgeting — Accurate Budgets with Granular Access”
What do you like best about Martus?

Martus gives our staff immediate access to their individual budgets, eliminating the need for me to send out 13 separate spreadsheets. The account settings make it simple to show each person only what they need to see while preventing access to restricted information. The budgeting tool was easy to learn and included useful features that helped produce more accurate budgets.

I was also blown away by our onboarding experience with Martus. They clearly laid out the whole process, gave us prep work and homework to help us best understand what we were learning, and gave us all the recordings of our trainings. Nika, our implementation specialist could answer every question we asked, and helped us learn how Martus could work best for us. Once you are done, they don't leave you out to dry. They are there with follow up trainings and an excellent service team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Martus?

The one thing we really wish Martus would offer is a full accounting module. We already have our complete chart of accounts set up; if Martus added the functionality to manage our finances directly, right there within Martus—so we wouldn't have to import from another program—that would be amazing. What problems is Martus solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our finance team used to spend multiple hours every month sending out budget updates after the month closed. If we ran short on time, individual budget spreadsheets would often go several months without being updated. Now, with Martus, I can import a single spreadsheet and everyone receives their budget updates on time each month. Their support team is amazing to work with if we have questions and we are able to get responses quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
