“Datarails Makes FP&A Faster with Seamless Excel Integration”
What do you like best about Datarails?

What I like about Datarails is how it makes FP&A work much more efficient without forcing teams to completely change how they work. The integration with Excel is a big advantage, since it allows you to keep the flexibility of spreadsheets while adding structure, automation, and better data control. It also simplifies reporting and consolidation, which saves a lot of time and reduces manual errors. Overall, it feels like a practical solution that actually fits into existing workflows instead of replacing them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

There are still a few "bugs" that need to be fixed. Also, a lot of issues I can't do by myself, only with customer support, so it slows down the process, even tho the customer support is great and really responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?

It saves us a lot of time. It saves time especially well in the "Members & Group" section, where we can easily give and change access to certain files for everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Marketplace discovery that stopped feeling like a treasure hunt”
What do you like best about Optro?

The way Optro surfaces relevant tools and integrations based on actual workflow context rather than generic category browsing has changed how our team approaches finding new solutions. Instead of spending hours evaluating options that turn out to be irrelevant we are landing on genuinely useful tools much faster than before. The curated quality of what gets surfaced has also meant that the tools we discover through Optro tend to be production ready rather than half finished products that look good in a screenshot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Optro?

The coverage of niche industry specific tools is still developing and we occasionally hit gaps where a category we need is underrepresented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Optro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tool discovery and evaluation was an unstructured process in our organisation that consumed significant time without a reliable framework for making decisions. Different teams were independently evaluating overlapping tools and nobody had visibility into what others had already assessed or were currently using. Optro gave us a centralised discovery layer that has reduced duplicated evaluation effort across departments and created more consistency in the tools our teams ultimately adopt which has simplified our IT governance conversations considerably. “Streamlined Reporting with Room for Improvement”
What do you like best about Workiva?

I use Workiva for SEC filing, reporting with W Data, and other minor entities. I like how Workiva keeps our version control in check and allows for commenting and workflow on shared documents. It also enables us to conduct SOX testing, perform markups, and handle sample selections and requests efficiently. I'm glad we did the initial setup ourselves because it was very educational, which made us more familiar with the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workiva?

Some areas that can be improved are markups, uploading support for audit and SOX testing. The sampling tool isn't as useful as I would like it to be, plus the request section and attaching things to spreadsheets can be a little finicky. The initial setup took much longer than I thought because we did it on our own without paying for a catered experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?

“Great tool for scalable enterprise planning”
What do you like best about Anaplan?

The flexibility of the platform and its calculation engine are the biggest strengths. Anaplan allows you to model complex business logic in a transparent, scalable way without relying on traditional code, which makes it easier to iterate quickly as requirements change.

I also really value the dimensional modeling approach and the ability to connect planning across multiple functions in a single platform. From a model builder perspective, the ecosystem (UX, ALM, integrations, community, and enablement resources) makes it easier to maintain governance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Anaplan?

Anaplan has a steep learning curve and requires disciplined model design to stay scalable.

Anaplan is not ideal for highly transactional use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Anaplan solving and how is that benefiting you?

Anaplan replaces fragmented spreadsheet-based planning with a connected platform that supports advanced forecasting, rapid scenario analysis, and governed processes. This results in faster planning cycles, better forecast accuracy, improved transparency, and more reliable model management as solutions scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Real-Time Data Sync Revolutionizes Financial Reporting”
What do you like best about LiveFlow?

The most impactful part of LiveFlow is the automated, real-time data sync. In the past, our financial reporting was always lagging. By the time we manually pulled reports from QuickBooks into Google Sheets, the data was already several days old. Especially when we're waiting for a third party team to reconcile our account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LiveFlow?

The initial setup of complex, custom-mapped reports can take a little bit of time. However, the LiveFlow support team is super responsive and helps bridge that gap quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LiveFlow solving and how is that benefiting you?

We struggled with accurate cash flow forecasting. Because our actuals were updated manually, our forecasts were often based on outdated assumptions.

LiveFlow solves this by keeping our actuals current. This has made forecasting so much easier because we can now see our real-time cash position and runway at a glance. It allows us to perform instant variance analysis and make strategic pivots based on what is happening now, rather than what happened last month. It has saved our finance team hours of spreadsheet gymnastics every week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Simplifying Compliance, Boosting Efficiency”
What do you like best about Sprinto?

Sprinto offers strong automation capabilities through processes such as policy mapping and evidence collection processes. Being a compliance officer for more than 12 months now using Sprinto, its user-friendly design and customer support services have saved half of my audit preparation time from 40 to 20 hours per quarter, giving me more time for risk analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sprinto?

The initial customization of controls may be daunting for some users as it takes up to 1-2 days to configure it correctly. Sometimes reporting for advanced data takes longer (data more than 1,000 evidences), although recent updates have made improvements in that area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sprinto solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problem that Sprinto solves is bringing all compliance activities (SOC 2 mapping, vendor assessments, and continuous monitoring) to one place without the need for spreadsheets. As a compliance officer in charge of more than 50 controls, Sprinto helps to automate the evidence collecting process and saves 70% of my time while preparing for audits 24/7. “THE Answer to so many FP&A Challenges for Scaling Organizations”
What do you like best about Aleph?

Time to value: We were live and able to answer BOD questions with confidence within two weeks.

Adaptability: We’ve been able to leverage Aleph in a lot of ways to meet the needs and asks of the business, and we’ve also been able to pivot quickly when we need to think about the business differently.

Customer Success: They’re always available to meet within 24 hours to help ideate or solve complex situations. They truly feel like a partner and an extension of our FP&A team.

Scalability: Being in tech, the business is in high growth through both organic and inorganic methods. Aleph has handled both with ease, which gives us long-term stability in our financial reporting function.

Solves for disparate systems: With the integration and the ability to load manual data into the platform and map it into BvA tables, we can look at financial data coming from seven different accounting systems in a uniform way. This speeds up reporting, forecasting, and insights into business performance.

Drill-down functionality: We can see underlying data in seconds without leaving the file we’re in, which saves time when putting together flux commentary.

AI capabilities: The ability to have Aleph take a first pass at P&L commentary is huge. In addition, being able to dictate how it looks at the data upfront makes it even more scalable (department first vs. GL, or vendor first, then department, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aleph?

There is some complexity in the setup for consolidating data tables that I don't necessarily understand (although I have not tried). This is easily solved with support from their Customer Success org or if I had a more technical mind on my team, they'd likely easily navigate this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Aleph solving and how is that benefiting you?

Consolidation of financial data from 9+ systems

Management of proforma results for acquired entities

Management of EBITDA adjustments for management reporting

Automated month-end reporting pack

Easily running actuals vs budget vs forecast reports

Custom P&L cuts for comparison

Helping mitigate headcount costs through automated data aggregation and AI variance analysis, not having to hire for "entry" roles

“Drivetrain Replaced Excel and Automated Our Reporting with Actionable Insights”
What do you like best about Drivetrain?

Drivetrain has helped us move away from Excel for reporting and budgeting. We’ve been able to generate a lot of useful insights for different teams, and it’s also allowed us to automate much of our reporting process, which has made things more consistent and easier to manage.

The implementation (& overall customer support team) has been very smooth and there was an amazing collaboration with the team to bring us up to speed and allow us to be mostly self sufficient. It integrates with most of our tools natively and if it doesn't there are always workarounds (API, csv, googlesheet, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Drivetrain?

There’s a learning curve, and it takes some involvement and curiosity to get the most out of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Drivetrain solving and how is that benefiting you?

We moved away from legacy Excel reports that were difficult to maintain and keep up to date. Since then, our budgeting time has decreased significantly. Drivetrain also lets us do scenario modeling and easily compare outputs, which makes it much simpler to evaluate different assumptions and see the impact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“A User‑Friendly FP&A Platform with Strong Reporting Capabilities”
What do you like best about Planful?

What I like most about Planful is how easy it is to use while still offering strong, flexible budgeting and reporting capabilities. The platform supports detailed, line-item budgeting, yet it maintains a clean, intuitive interface that works well for both finance and non-finance users. It also serves as a reliable single source of truth, improves transparency for budget owners, and greatly reduces the manual effort required for budgeting and reporting. As a result, the finance team can spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on analysis and strategic support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Planful?

The coding required to add accounts into reports can come with a steep learning curve. Instead of simply using our account number, we have to use a specific Planful code that corresponds to that account. When a new account is created, it can take extra time to figure out which code is needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Planful solving and how is that benefiting you?

Planful addresses the challenge of fragmented, manual financial planning by offering a centralized and structured platform for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. By replacing spreadsheet-driven processes with standardized workflows, it helps reduce errors, eliminates version confusion, and cuts down the time spent on manual consolidation.

As a result, we’ve gained greater efficiency, stronger visibility into financial performance, and better alignment between budgets and actuals. Budget owners have a clearer view of their financial responsibilities, and the finance team can spend more time analyzing results and supporting decision-making instead of managing data. Overall, Planful has improved transparency, accountability, and the quality of financial discussions across the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Experiencing challenges I didn't have before”
What do you like best about Coefficient?

It's easy to set up/launch the connection, but I find that a lot of my programmed refreshes aren't actually happening at the cadence I set. ex: I'll visit a file that should be refressehed daily, and it's multiple days old since the last refresh, and when I hit refresh, it hangs awhile, and sometimes errors out. I've set up a lot of coefficients lately, but some of them have just...tired-out or something. I also have noticed that we get emails from you guys saying that we need to re-do or refresh all our coefficients because of an update on your side or something. Don't want to sound like a brat, but I don't want to have to do that. I used to love how it was a "set it and forget it" product for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coefficient?

I don't know if it's a Google setting or Coefficients setting, but at times when I need a SF report to push to Gsheets, there are too many rows I think (it can't go higher than 50-60K it seems) which isn't helpful for me, because we have a lot of data.

“Intuitive GRC Platform with Unmatched Support and Fast Deployment”
What do you like best about Complyance?

The platform is far more intuitive than past tools I’ve used, such as Archer or Prevalent. Uploading our organizational data and the overall deployment led by the Complyance team were superior to any platform I’ve worked with previously. The Complyance team is meticulous and genuinely supportive; the way they developed our environment, along with the pace of deployment, meant the entire effort took only a few months from start to finish.

Their ongoing support, regular meetings, and backend services have been unmatched in my 50 years of IT deployments. On top of that, the Complyance team’s friendly, competent approach and diverse skill set helped ensure a smooth migration to this GRC solution.

The features and capabilities, along with the incorporation of AI, are a real selling point. “Essential ERM: Intuitive, Interconnected Risk Management Made Easy”
What do you like best about Essential ERM?

An automated must-have tool for Risk & Compliance managers to obtain a clear view of their risks universe and mitigating controls (whether existing or proposed).

I found the Essential ERM interface intuitive and user friendly to navigate through. Risks were easy to set up and link with others, creating a principal risk, sub-risks, and a risk scenario hierarchy. There was no need to build complex procedures and coding.

I like the connection between objectives, risks, causes, consequences, mitigation strategies, mitigating actions, key risk indicators (KRIs), sub-risks, and more. This interconnected approach provides a comprehensive view of risk management, which is essential for ensuring nothing slips through the cracks, in this fast paced world that we now operate in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential ERM?

Not being able to upload documents to support risk or control reviews. A dedicated area for outstanding action items from all reviews for a company or a portfolio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Essential ERM solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed a "one stop" software that helps us to track the "essential" components of our ERM program, while maintaining a simple and easy to use platform.

Essential ERM from Tracker networks did that while staying under our budget. The development team is also very responsive and will assist with solving problems once it is verified as a true need.

“Excellent Value for Xero Consolidation with Fast, Responsive Support”
What do you like best about Joiin?

For the price point that you get with Joiin, this is an excellent product. It allows simple and easy consolidation with Xero, and I have used this at two different companies to great effect. The support team during some billing issues were super fast and responsive. I also really like the management accounts pack builder, and it made it much more professional that the current packs we had been manually making. Overall through Joiin, we have saved around a day per month through automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Joiin?

The issues with Joiin are more around set-up time, requiring you to make sure everything is coded correctly in Xero first. It is also super sensitive to changes, and breaks quite easily if you make changes on the COA. This then requires active management and feel like the intelligence could allow for more advanced notifications, e.g. "you added this account, do you want me to add it to this area in your packs". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Acterys solving and how is that benefiting you?

Acterys solves several critical problems in corporate finance, performance management, and analytics by automating, centralizing, and enhancing planning, reporting, and data integration.

Main Problems Acterys Solves

Problem: Budgeting and forecasting are often done in Excel, shared via email, leading to errors, version control issues, and inefficiency.

Acterys Solution: Centralized, database-driven planning and write-back directly in Excel and Power BI, with real-time collaboration, version control, and workflows.

Problem: Companies have data scattered across ERPs, CRMs, and other systems, making reporting and consolidation slow and error-prone.

Problem: Multi-entity consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and currency translation are done manually and take weeks.

It can integrate Excel input in the same front end, so end users can decide if they want to prepare data outside of the web-front end and load their results, or work directly in the tool. This combination allows users the freedom they need and desire to work in a way that suits them best.

The ideas behind the applications are always aimed towards ease of maintenance, a uniform look and feel and a do-it-yourself approach where IT involvement is limited to a minimum and business users can be autonoumous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apliqo?

It is a not a drag-and-drop tool for do it yourself dashboarding. But it is also not intended to be this. The target of Apliqo is rolling out applications to a group of end users that can get going without the need for extensive trainings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apliqo solving and how is that benefiting you?

We mainly use Apliqo (both UX and FPM) for internal reporting. We use it for our day-to-day timesheets, our (financial) month end close, dashboarding and reporting.

The operational model is tracking our projects on a day-to-day basis, provinding an overview of budgets-to-date, time spent (hours/days), expenses tracking. Our users are entering information on a daily basis.

For the financial closing we are currently utilising the P&L/Balance sheet reporting layer across our region, based on input from various countries, coming from different data sources (accounting systems).

Everything gets harmonized through a common mapping to a uniform group layer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“The C1Risk Platform has helped streamline our GRC processes and procedures.”
What do you like best about C1Risk?

Each year when completing our audit cycles, we know our evidence is valid, where to find it, and that it is linked to the right controls. As a law firm, this is helpful because we are audited not only to maintain our certifications, but by our clients to maintain their business. The C1Risk platform helps us to stay organized and has taken so much overhead off the process of all these audits because we are able to use it for to produce the needed evidence for every audit situation. The product also continues to grow with our needs year over year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about C1Risk?

There is very little to dislike about the product. The only thing I have found is minor UI preferences such as column sizing and such, but it isn’t anything that truly changes the way the product works Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is C1Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?

C1Risk helped us take a very manual process of maintaining our ISO/IEC 27001 certification evidence and streamline that process. We then adapted that process and expanded it to our client audits and our review of our client requirements. The C1Risk platform allowed us to take processes that required many hours of work for several people and cut it down to a repeatable and automated process that runs for us and allows us to oversee it and now find ourselves ahead of our schedule instead of running behind or being frantic when audit time came around. We are confident in our evidence and no longer have to cut corners to make our deadlines because the administrative work has been reduced so much. We are able to go into audits fully prepared, and collect the complete collection of evidence for the year, which helps with all client audits as well throughout the year so we are fully prepared for anything requested of the security team at all times. “Consistent, trustworthy reporting for multiple ERPs”
What do you like best about Vivid Reports CPM?

What’s most helpful about Vivid Reports is how quickly it lets us turn ERP data into usable, reliable reports without heavy custom development. We’ve used it with both SYSPRO and Dynamics 365 Business Central, and in both cases it provided a consistent, Excel‑friendly reporting layer that our finance and operations teams could actually own. For organizations that live in Excel but need accurate ERP data, Vivid Reports bridges that gap very well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vivid Reports CPM?

Not a Vivid limitation, but it requires a good bit of upfront structure planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Vivid Reports CPM solving and how is that benefiting you?

Vivid Reports CPM solves the problem of fragmented financial data and manual, spreadsheet‑heavy budgeting and forecasting processes. It gives us a structured way to align budgets, forecasts, and actuals directly with ERP data from SYSPRO and Business Central Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
