I dislike how difficult Mindbody is for clients who aren't used to the site. I dislike the interface on the phone being not only different than the app, but the functions that are available aren't the same - for example, I can't sell my Private Sessions on the app without allowing clients to book themselves first, but on the site you can buy without booking. The interface has a lot of functions, but it is not as straight-forward on the back end so I have had to call customer service quite a bit to help with fixes. Please note that especially since COVID that customer support has gone down. You used to get someone directly, but now calls are rerouted to an out-sourced place first and only after wasting time with them do the redirect you back to who you should have talked to in the first place. It is very difficult to become acquainted with, and it took be a very long time to feel somewhat proficient at using Active Net. The tabs and options are not clear and can be very hard to find on the page. Nothing is very clear, and you have to learn how to do most things through trail and error. I have been using my coworkers as aid and guidance since they are familiar with the software and understand its short comings. I've become pretty good at doing the actions that I do most frequently when I work, however, if a new problem were to arise I would have no idea how to solve it. There are some basic features that are only included in the more expensive tiers. I cannot send a mass email to all of my members. I cannot prevent someone from booking more than one class in a day and even though it tracks late cancellations, it doesn't notify of them. I have to go search for them. It's the quirks of the software that tend to be a small nuisance on a day to day basis, such as WL not being very Mac friendly or the fact that I cannot add a note specific to any scheduled appointment. It has been a very inconsistent when we use it, reports seem to result differently every time we run them and never line up with our accounting department's records to the point of us not trusting any of the recorded information in the system. It is our account management software and helps us track all our memberships and record keeping, in theory it should make record keeping easier for us and allow us to run full status reports on accounting issues and account management reports, but reports never seem to be accurate therefore we don't ever trust that we are receiving accurate info.
