"Easy to use and great for customizing"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I like that I was able to define a custom color theme and font. I code all day, so this is important to me. I also like that it has a lot of customizable options to make my experience all the better (word wrap, plugins, split view) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It can be annoying when I open an old project to reference it, and it closes out of my current one unless I specifically open a new window first. A great option would be to set something in preferences to open in a new window by default. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Light weight and powerful"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Command pallet is a one stop for all. It is something I would like to see in all IDEs/ code editors.

Also I like the git integration of VScode. It is pretty simple and neat Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Debugging experience is not upto the Par. I have worked with other platforms where debugging is intuitive and managing scopes while doing so is easy. Unfortunately it is not so user friendly in VS code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"VS Code, The code editor we need"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual studio code is a user-friendly code editor developed by Microsoft. What I like about VS code is that it's completely free, and it has a rich set of features that is very helpful for developers to write their code. It provides a lot of customization, plugins, extensions to users. So they can integrate other tools into visual studio code, so they don't have to install or use other applications. It is a complete package for developers, and every developer prefers visual studio code from its alternative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

There is not much to dislike about visual studio code. If developers can provide more customization option to extensions, and it's settings it will be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Code Editors has support for almost every programming language"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code has a large marketplace for extensions. There are tons of extensions to make your work easier.

We can even open the terminal from visual studio code internally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Hard to manage multiple files opened atonce.

There should be more theme colors in the editor. Currently, there are only 3 or 2. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"the only place where i write my code. The Best!!!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I am using vs code for about 2 years now and the best part about it is the ability to choose and to work in my way may it be colour format or type of formatting in code, everything.

Some other best features are:

1. the best extensions available and all open source. Even I have made different extensions.

2. The integrations with other apps like Github, Bitbucket, Jira. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

there is nothing to dislike in vs code, but I've felt that the terminal inside the vs code is slow, because of which I use command prompt Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

VS Code is undoubtedly the best platform for developers and coders. It not only provides a good space for coding and creating projects but also has many valuable and powerful plugins and features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful code Editor and IDE packed with variety of features"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VSCode is a feature-packed tool that helps you write and test your code in whatever language you use. It comes with helpful syntax suggestions built-in and many extensions for popular programming languages. The ability to easily switch between Bash and PowerShell on windows platforms is a handy functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The UI can be tricky sometimes and may cause issues when you are unsure about the features. For example, running your code can be a little unintuitive if you are used to simpler IDEs. The tricky UI results from the feature-packed tool, so it can be a pro or con on how you view it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best text editor ever!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code lets the user download extensions according to the technology stack they are using. Therefore, the flexibility it gives to user is one of my favorite things in it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Sometimes, switching between projects may become difficult because of linting etc. settings done. UX of the settings page is not that simple therefore, it may be confusing to change things according to the project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
