Everything about VS Code is just lovable. It's embedded Git integration is the best feature according to me because I don't have to go around tinkering with other plugins just to get git working. Speaking of plugins, VS COde is highly extensible through thousands of available high quality plugins that have been tried and tested by pros who use this editor.
Lastly, as a web developer to the core, Typescript integration is one of this editors unique features that makes it stand out from the competition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
VS Code's auto complete is not as powerful as is the case on IDEs. Spelling mistakes made on method names, for instance, are rarely pointed out by the editor. However, this is probably because VS Code itself is not an IDE.
Because of its many features, VS Code uses a lot of RAM sometimes to the point of making your computer hang. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
