"VS Code is probably the best text editor you will ever use"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Everything about VS Code is just lovable. It's embedded Git integration is the best feature according to me because I don't have to go around tinkering with other plugins just to get git working. Speaking of plugins, VS COde is highly extensible through thousands of available high quality plugins that have been tried and tested by pros who use this editor.

Lastly, as a web developer to the core, Typescript integration is one of this editors unique features that makes it stand out from the competition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

VS Code's auto complete is not as powerful as is the case on IDEs. Spelling mistakes made on method names, for instance, are rarely pointed out by the editor. However, this is probably because VS Code itself is not an IDE.

Because of its many features, VS Code uses a lot of RAM sometimes to the point of making your computer hang. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code: A Modern Code Editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

How fast it works on my laptop is what I like most about Visual Studio Code. One press on the icon and it quickly opens the last document I've been working on. It has a very user-friendly interface and it's very nice, so when you want to start a project, everything can be easily found.

It's also incredible to integrate git. It works perfectly and makes it a piece of cake for Github to submit code.

Also the best part about the editor is the insane amount of community and official extensions you can add to make it do anything you need to do. I also like that when in use, it doesn't take up too much of the energy of my laptop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

If you want to configure an application, I don't like that you have to do it with code, and setting the parameters is a bit complicated because I don't comprehend all the accessible settings commands.

Configuring certain characteristics, such as having reliable support for Python on Windows, is sometimes hard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fully featured, powerful IDE with the footprint of a minimal text editor."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It manages to stand out from the sea of text editors by providing market leading intelligent code autocompletion and analysis, in addition to its already superb customizability. What makes this more impressive is it still manages to run faster than conventional web based text editors like Atom and Brackets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

While almost a perfect product, UI and visual theming customization is very limited to only colors and fonts. This might bother some people as the Microsoft aesthetic is very present in the design language. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Your best pick for web projects!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

This IDE is amazing! It is very fast and is very customizable! It has support for a lot of languages and if it doesn't have for one in particular, just look for it on the extensions market, you'll probably find it there!

It has an integrated terminal which is great, but what I love most of it is the command palete; which I use a lot beacuse I don't have to take my hands off of the keyboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I haven't been using this IDE for a long time and so far, I haven't seen anything bad with it. So I'm unable to answer this question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code Has It All!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I really like the ecosystem that has been created for extensions. I can find just about any extension related to a programming language that I might be using. The community is invaluable to any problems that I might be faced with when using the IDE. Other helpful built in features such as the ability to run terminal commands helps to streamline my process when working on projects that involve processing or monitoring the status of the project build. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Sometimes I feel that Visual Studio Code can be bloated with other features that I might not necessarily use or need to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solution for ALL coding languages"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The open source plugins available to support execution of various languages. I can practically debug any language I want to. VCS support is good. I can pull and commit with ease but still use Gitkraken for advanced stuff. Would love to see them here. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The intellisense (code autocomplete) does not work to the mark at times. In python, it cannot connect to remote virtual environments that are setup on cloud. in built terminal puts me off at times because it is slower than the system terminal. memory intensive programs do not run fast.
