"Best open source free code and text editor to date"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It's a fantastic free replacement to the other paid text editors that are out there, and that it's constantly updated with new features. I also like that it is a fantastic editor to support open source-based software development projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It can't replace Visual Studio yet, as Visual Studio still streamlines development workflows better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"If you're an Angular developer, and you're not using VSCode -you're wasting time."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It integrates so well with Angular. So many shortcuts and key commands that save time. You can easily import and inject, without spending time writing that stuff out. It KNOWS Angular, so it helps you along the way. Saves a lot of time, I cannot stress this enough. Formats your files for you, plays beautifully with the Angular CLI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I really don't dislike much, I think one complaint I've heard from people who don't use it is that they don't want to learn how to use it. They are already comfortable with Sublime, or whatever... it's a classic case of "my misery is bliss" but it's only bliss because they aren't aware it's misery. Like VSCode will format all your files for you so you don't waste time editing whitespace (if you're particular like me) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best content tool ever for numerous programming dialects. "
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code is the by a long shot best word processor I have utilized. The most significant thing about it? It is free of expense. Second, it has pretty much every conceivable coding highlights and benchmarks that different editors need. Such a large number of subjects to browse, an excessive number of extentions to make your coding as adaptable as would be prudent, adaptation control frameworks, auto code arranging and a lot more highlights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The one thing I detest about VS Code is that it requires an excessive amount of memory and cpu use. You will require a high setup PC in the event that you are utilizing 2-3 high smash utilization programming alongside VS Code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very fast and robust editor. With extensions, it provides a full IDE experience."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Extensions are the best feature of VSCode. Also the extension marketplace is very big so you can find extensions for almost anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The UI seems to be a bit slower than sublime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio with integrated terminal!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

This could be the only IDE I use. I always try to use this IDE with any project that I can code, regardless of the language. It is just so comfy and light! One of the best features it has is the terminal, which is great for my node.js projects and Angular projects, which do benefit a lot because of the CLI for those.

The Git integration is awesome and the folder structure. But what is great is that people like it and there are a bunch of plugins that are available that make this IDE even greater!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

This is a question that I really do not know how to answer as I am not dissatisfied at all with this IDE. I do really like everything about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code is the default editor for professionals"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code is an ideal editor for beginners. What I like most is that it is easy to use, stable and powerful software. It is excellent to have different types of highlights for several files. It is easy to order the code lines or labels. On the other hand, I like the search of files, because it is intuitive and fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I have almost no complaints with this editor, because for me it is the best, except that from the latest versions more and more computer resources are being used, so programming on computers with few resources is becoming more difficult, because the program moves very slowly. "In my opinion, this is the best IDE ever"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Simple yet powerful, lightweight, good features and great support. Great Extensibility when it comes to adding extra features to customize. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Some add-ons are low quality and since this is an open-source project most of them are not vetted. The marketplace contains a lot of addons which might be exciting to try but if you indiscriminately add features you might break other addons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
