VSCode is minimal yet super powerful and free and open source. The user interface is good as each tab in it is useful.
1. File management :- Work space management is quite easy, you can even set a separate setting for work space and user space. Which means if any specific work space related feature you require which you don't want other projects (work space) gets affected then you do those kind of setting in work-space setting.
2. In build Git integration so that you don't have to integrate any library or package to do so.
3. Debugging in VSCode is very easy and yet complex in stating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
VSCode don't provide feature of remote debugging, which sometime is great help. VSCode feels sometime heavier compare to other text editors like Notepad++.As it is integrated with large number of plugins it takes time to load but after once started it feels normal.
