"fluid user Interface, color schemes and has best marketplace for extensions"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It has the best market place for extensions which makes coding really easy and interactive. The colourfull indicators for HTML, XML helps to differentiate the tags and nodes.

It also maintains well-organized folder structures, especially when you use Angular 2.x Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

This software still faces certain bugs as it crashes sometimes especially after any new updates have come. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best IDE for every programming language"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Compared to other Integrated Development Environments, Visual Studio Code comes out first. It uses less memory, runs smoothly, never crashes (even if I open a 50,000 line of code file) and the plug-in library is very good and I am currently using more than 50 extensions and even then it runs lightly.

The minimap feature helps a lot. File and code searching has never been easier. I can even use cmd, powershell or GitBash in its integrated terminal

The default UI is amazing and can be made even more colorful by installing light-weight extensions.

No need to search extensions and run them, I can just use the Command Palette and write what i want to do,eg: beautify/format a file and it does it flawlessly.

The out-of-the-box php server & SQL Server and debugging features are absolutely amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Git integration and intellisense needs more improvements Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Software extensions make advancement quicker and more convenient."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

You are able to install extensions that are available in the Visual Studio software setting. Several bundles are integrated and some have to be installed. The extensions make advancement quicker and more convenient. The software is fairly quick and I rarely experienced any lags/freezes. The composition of the folder/document makes navigation across the records simple. The application has several characteristics, such as searching for a word/phrase in a file or across a database. It is therefore quite simple and smooth to search for records/folders/phrases in a project. Visual Studio has a built-in station that makes it quite simple to launch/restart the server and use instructions from the immediate command. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The software suddenly crashed on Windows 10 version. Although it operates smoothly and quickly on newer and existing versions of Windows or Linux, it was not completely compatible with smaller variants. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best code editor that exists, lightweight for all programming languages."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I like it very much because it is an ideal tool for programmers like me who want to have a smooth experience. It is very lightweight and very flexible, the interface is pleasant and elegant, the way to track project files is excellent. You can add many plugins, and with their help, you can enable many features that are very useful. Visual Studio Code works on your PC with fewer resources, which adds performance. What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

What personally displeases me is the configuration of this tool, which is not an easy task. There are many plugins and many configuration options that you must set to enable a function. It is not too intuitive regarding how workspaces are configured and could be executed better. Apart from what is specified, this product is excellent and there really isn't much to complain about. "Great code and text editor for developers who want to improve their programming speed"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It's very easy to use this kind of sofware and it has a great user experience. VS Code allows you to edit text and code in a very efficient way, by using its default features or by dowloading or even creating your own plugins. In the plugins market there are thousands of features you can download, use and test for you to have a happy coding and automated snippets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The language or regional configuration may confuse sometimes when you search for current or new shortcuts, so you must do more research to match de right keyboard combination. Also, there are sometimes when a update has bugs and it doesn't even open the main program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best code editor available, ideal for both new and experienced coders."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

What makes me like Visual Studio Code is that it is undoubtedly one of the best IDEs for developers. It offers great functionalities to users and is an incredible code editor that allows you to program quickly and easily in any programming language you have. The code completion feature is also excellent. You can very easily install any number of plugins to enhance your experience during development. It is extremely easy to use because it offers very intuitive menus and functions. Productivity increases enormously when using this tool because the developer really focuses on the code and has many tools at their disposal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I dislike that it consumes a lot of RAM when it runs; it seems like a lightweight platform, but sometimes it feels like a slight delay when starting the application. But this may depend on our computing resources. Also, debugging is a bit confusing. I would personally like them to improve in that aspect. Other than that, I have nothing to complain about, because my overall experience has been really good and productive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Code Editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I really like how lightweight VS Code is. I also really enjoy the intellisense and the ability to tie VS Code into a version control software like github. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I haven't found too many downsides to using VS Code. It is much more lightweight than the standard version of Visual Studios, but perhaps there are a few higher level things that it cannot do. Nothing that has caused me to consider not using the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My experience using Visual Studio Code as a Developer. "
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio code allows developers like me code in a comfortable way. I use Visual Studio code to develop and make changes to my businesses. VS code can let you change the way your editor looks, and also organise your folders and files to suit your preference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

VS Code does have some disadvantages. One being having no labels on the icons until you hover over them. I think it would be great as a developer that when you see the icons that there is a label/text next to them displaying what it does. I also feel like there should be more freestyle when organising multiple editors and allowing you to dock information within VS Code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My favorite lightweight editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code is lightweight and extremely customizable. You can make it look however you want, and you can make it do a million things with plugins. You can create the editor of your dreams, or you can just have a very straightforward editor. Whatever you like! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Some of the plugins, being user-created, can make the editor slow down. More oversight or more official plugins might be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Why i enjoy using Visual Studio Code."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code is one of my favourite platforms to write code on, despite from all the others Visual Studio Code offers a plugins section where you can download plugins like themes, shortcuts and live designer viewers to make your coding expierence much better. I personally enjoy the way you can set the tone of your coding view, set it to a dark black or maybe even a bright white. Visual Studio allows you to customise your coding expierence in a comforting way. The only upside to downloading themes within Visual Studio is that you may not always expierence the best of themes and can bump into some miner bugs. Besides that it satisfies me as a developer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

My only downsides that i have on Visual Studio is how the way you place your different windows on the side, top or even bottom isn't all responsive. It would be amazing if Visual Studio code could allow you to drag out the different windows and place them on a different monitor for example to make your work space cleaner to suit your preference.
