"Review of Microsoft Visual Studio Code after using it for 2 years."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Microsoft Visual Studio Code had an excellent function, i.e., an auto-save function, which worked very well. Its booting time was also significantly less. It was available at no cost to the user. I primarily used it for my C++ coding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It had lagging problems when working on large projects and hence would make the user feel irritating. It did not provide a perfect environment for writing our code, and hence one would get bored very quickly while using it. These were the two primary reasons why I left using Visual Studio Code. "Useful but takes time to learn"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It has great intelisense that helps you write your code. I also like that you can view all of your scripts in one location. It's also very useful that you can download community add-ons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

This software has a real learning curve with it and takes time to get used to. You have a lot of options to sort through, it wants to manage where your scripts are saved, and you have to "install" the coding languages you need. All combined it makes it more involved when getting started with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"VS Code, a must have editor for every developer!!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Overall, all its functionality is best for the current time and will be due to all its features, especially for me XD. Last week, I thought of changing my editor from vs code to another, but things didn't go how I wanted to that editor, so according to me it's the best (I usually do stuff on multiple tech's and languages), And VS Code has been most reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Currently, i am doing things related to Jupyiter Notebook and i have been facing a issue that it doesn't auto-save the file, i have to do it manually , every time. And yeah I have also tried changing it's settings.json, but that didn't work out. It's kind of frustrating when I have to save to again and again. So, can you please try it and address it? "My Favourite Code Editor Anyday!!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

one of the best things i like about VS Code is the simplicity! It's so simple - literally the first day coder can get acquinted to the software & experienced one can make their work faster,

Another thing I love about it is the extensions! THE LIFE SAVERS! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Not much, but it can include better snippets for some famous language. It'll make coding a bit easier.

On some of the PCs with extremely low specs, I've noticed some lagging caused by VS Code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Platform for HTML Developers"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The most helpful and best thing about Visual Studio Code is that a beginner doesn't face any problem during their learning times; also, it has a simple and user-friendly environment. It also supports ReactJS, which I liked the most when I was making WhatsApp cloud applications using Mern stack and ReactJS. Visual Studio Code fulfills all requirements during my learning Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The drawback of Visual Studio Code is that sometimes when four or more classes are open so its difficult to recognize the error while debugging, so if VSCode give us a separate portion of the error, it could be helpful for us Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good tool for simple coding and analysing code"

What I like most is -It has easy text writing space, bigger font with good visibility.

Code adapt the color and underline the code if application find unusual command or text this gives me hint that there is something missing and I can correct before proceeding to other module Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Still it has to support multiple programming language.

for cpp and java language we need to install other tools,I wish visual studio code could support light version of these languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio is a comprehensive IDE for developing Web and Hybrid Mobile Applications"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code has a very intelligent editor which provides autosuggestions and pre-written code templates and is very user-friendly. It integrates with Git and has a terminal where you can commit, push, pull and perform all git operations. It can be used to develop web as well as hybrid mobile applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

While developing hybrid mobile applications, it takes a long time to build and run the code, especially on a windows laptop. Every single change needs a new code build. Apart from this, it is perfect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"This code editor have a different kinds of specialties. User interface is very attractive."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I found each and every language can compile easily, we just need to download and install it. I also like the UI of the code editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It shows some errors while executing java code in this editor. It needs good space on the hard disk to run the whole editor smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Its a dream!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

What I enjoy the most about Visual Studio Code is that I am able to so many extensions to amplify my productivity. Since I have to code thousands of lines a day, I am able to easily cut the time of it by downloading extensions such as Prettier, CSS Peek, or Auto Raname Tag. I dont think there are many applications like VS Code that is that powerful in terms of increasing my productivity. I also appreciate the fact that it is free, and hopefully it stays that way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

What I dislike the least it that when it comes to mobile app development, it does take a little longer to set up. It may not be useful for app development and I don't believe its targeted for it, but from my experience, it was very complicated, so I would not recommend it.
