**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

I have been using The Trade Desk for a while now, and I have to say, it’s one of the most powerful and intuitive platforms I have come across for managing ad campaigns. As someone who’s worked with multiple DSPs, The Trade Desk really stands out for its flexibility and transparency. The interface is clean and user-friendly, which makes navigating through campaign setups and optimisations a breeze, even for someone juggling multiple clients or projects.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

The Trade Desk can be a beast to learn for newbies, and the costs hit hard for smaller budgets. Support can be slow when you are in a pinch, and some integrations with smaller ad exchanges feel clunky, causing frustrating glitches.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk’s focus on the open internet is a big deal for me. Unlike some walled garden platforms, I get access to premium inventory across channels like Connected TV, audio, and display, which gives my campaigns way more reach and flexibility. Unified ID 2.0 is a nice touch, too it feels like they are future proofing for a cookies world while still keeping things effective.

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

The type of audience that it has is diverse allowing for a unique and complex targeting capabilities which other dsps tend to be really limited or don’t have something similar.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

I dislike there tracking pixels, they tend to be for the most part not close to the data received on our end which makes reporting complicated.

Not a big fan of the cloning option

Is solving that it limits less our client chances of getting good inventory our product because of nature will not get the best Inventory or the right audience,

Just using TTD to host all the deals we host on a monthly basis, helps to save time but also going back to the client with a wider option plan, as we know we can host it there

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

I've been working with TTD for now close to 3 years, the only issues I had is when activating PMP deals, but now, only activating PG deals on a monthly basis, I have no issues

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using TTD I can host all the CTV deals we activate on a monthly basis, and merge it under one single campaign. This helps me to put all the settings, as brand safety, fees... just once, minimizing the errors as I only have to check one campaigns instead of 5-6

I'm impressed with Trade Desk's Frequency Group Goal, Quality Score, and TV Quality Index features. I also like TTD customer service because when I reach out to TTD account manager, they will always respond to me within 5 hours.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

Trade Desk falls short when it comes to AI-driven bid strategies. In multiple performance campaign tests comparing Trade Desk, Amazon, and DV360, we found that Trade Desk struggled to match the conversion optimization capabilities of the other DSPs.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk supports our DOOH engagement efforts by providing insights into how many people visit locations after being exposed to a DOOH campaign. This is especially valuable when there's no brand lift study (BLS) included, as it helps us demonstrate campaign effectiveness to clients.

I like the service provided by the account managers. They go above and beyond to help optimize and troubleshoot campaigns. They are very proactive in finding campaign solutions.

I don't like the new update with kokai. I find Solimar more user friendly. Kokai makes the user experience very confusing and I don't see the benefit.

The trade desk has an immense amount of data to use as well as "rails" which allow us to make very specific optimizations to our campaigns. I find that other dsps don't allow us to get this granular.

TTD provides excellent, in person, support within the programmatic space, which is unrivalled within the industry along with  strong cross channel features

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

TTD and Google tech stack don't talk each other, so despite its Identity resolution we miss an opportunity to integrate it with the bigger ad ecosystem

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TTD is the DSP of election when it comes to DOOH, CTV, BVOD. The activation is easier and the integration with those players stronger at the moment. Hoever when it comes to lower funnel ( particular display) performance activity DV360 performs better ( based on A/B testing ) and the server integration ( DCM) also looks more efficient

The forefront of innovation, unmatched service and a wide range of products and features.  Always approachable and on hand to support the agency and clients.

Whilst they would say it is ‘value for money’ I would say the cost of The Trade Desk comes as a premium.  Recently the sales pitch has come more complicated than it used to be.

A unified and single view on clients as buying across multiple channels and touch points.  Also being able to prove the need for innovation and constantly refining tech solutions.

I like how versatile the Trade Desk is. There is so much you can do and manipulate within the DSP to help manage and improve the performance of campaigns. The campaign rails make it easy to see exactly what settings you have applied to campaigns which is helpful. The customer service is also really great. Our dedicated reps are very responsive and helpful whenever there are questions.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

Kokai has been a little difficult to navigate. The programmatic table, while visually it looks appealing, it can often be difficult to find what I'm looking for. There are also certain things that still can't be done in Kokai so I find myself having to switch between Solimar and Kokai which isn't super efficient.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk helps solve the problem of efficiency for me. I trust that my campaigns are running to the best of their ability, especially with all of the machine learning that the TradeDesk utilizes.

I really appreciate how user-friendly The Trade Desk is. It makes managing campaigns and analyzing performance much simpler than I expected, which saves a lot of time.

What I find a bit challenging is locating specific audience segments. I've noticed that some other platforms make this a bit easier, so it can take a little extra time here.

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

During my time (agency side) I felt that other DSP’s  had a very linear approach to how campaigns were implemented and monitored. The Trade desk offered a more multi-path to how I implemented, optimised and reported on my campaigns. 

I worked across both previous legacy platforms Koa and felt that the integration of the AI system was not invasive and worked well at helping identify and report on campaign projections and delivery results.

The staff in NSW Australia were highly knowledgeable and made my experience with The Trade Desk a compassionate one. There were no stupid questions or no questions that had not already been asked. 

They were always willing to chat and support. Their presentation skills were strong and provided great insights to how The Trade Desk would be looking to take on feedback and improve moving forward. 

Overall, a great business that has been super supportive of the local market and will continue to be my first choice for DSP.

Working on the Tech side of the industry I saw how large the tech fees to work with The Trade Desk could be. I would love for a solution to lower these.

The application Unitied 2.0. This has provided me with the ability to deal with the removal of cookies. This has been a big push and understandibly soming to consider for the future.

Their customer success teams are very responsive and helpful when we have any type of question.

We have found that users on our end often need significant onboarding time and that the learning curve is quite steep. That being said there is a lot of support from the CS team.

The UI is nice. Exchanges ate good and serves quality impressions. Results can be varied but they provide exceptional troubleshooting and service as required.

Performance can be better. Campaign building could be quicker with templates. Low funnel performance tends to not perform as well as upper to mid funnel.

Awareness campaigns run great, our upper to mid funnel kpis are met. We also take advantage of the multiple streams of programmatic media available to us which helps streamline resources.

Have been using trade desk since a very long time and a the best platform so far. It has helped in taking campaigns live on a short notice with so many inventories available based on clients requirements. Also very effective when it come to targeting which is very important. Everything in one place without needing to separately reaching out to each publisher.

The only downside is that cannot buy Social platform inventories like meta, TikTok or YouTube because now clients are prioritizing social media channels more than ever.

The Trade Desk is leading the way when it comes to connecting brands to their end users and getting the product in front or prospecting customers, via its retail media integrations.

They can be more expenseive than other DSP, and sometimes it takes a bit longer to get your head around their new UX (e.g. Kokai) which is updated in an Apple-like format.

We started with The Trade Desk when we used their retail media solutions which then opened the business to using it for dOOH, CTV and posdcasting. We are able to have unified reach that is on target and meeting our prospective customers where they are.

Massive premium inventory, excellent audience targeting, deep reporting, strong brand safety, and transparent bidding that gives you control and insights.

Steep learning curve, setup can be complex, and high minimums and fees can be tough for smaller brands without big budgets or dedicated in-house expertise.

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

TTD offers endless access to audience segments and the ability to track beyond what typical walled gardens like Google or Meta offer. The lift tests also bring more tracking insights which I appreciate.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

Attribution not matching compared to GA4 has been a concern of my clients in the past. The ability to use custom high impact creatives is not something I’ve seen taken advantage of, as typical TTD users only use standard display or video.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk is simple to use and it gets complex when it comes into the greater tasks. I have contacted their customer support a couple of times and is fast, reliable and they have provided me with good answers.  Trade Desks offers a lot of different fetures like you can do advance targeting on your ads, do real time reppporting that helps a lot when presenting results to clients. Implementing new campaigns from scratch can be a little bit challenging but it gets easier with the time. I do use Trade Desk at least once per week and it gets the result that the clients wants.
