## The Trade Desk Reviews
  ### 1. Kokai’s AI Optimization and Intuitive UI Make The Trade Desk a Top DSP

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sai v. | Executive Trafficker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

Kokai and it's Koa optimizations which are unique and easy to use compared to other prominent DSP's. What I like best about The Trade Desk is its Kokai platform and the AI-driven optimization capabilities that help improve campaign performance with less manual effort. The user interface is intuitive and well organized, making campaign setup, audience management, and reporting easy to navigate even for complex media buys. The platform integrates well with major data providers, measurement partners, and inventory sources, which simplifies activation and reporting workflows. From a performance perspective, the optimization tools, bidding controls, and audience targeting options consistently help drive strong results across channels. The transparency in reporting and campaign insights also makes it easier to understand ROI and justify media investments. In addition, The Trade Desk provides responsive support and onboarding resources, helping teams quickly adopt new features and best practices. Overall, the combination of powerful AI, broad inventory access, strong integrations, and a user-friendly experience makes it one of the most effective DSPs available today.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

The Trade Desk is a powerful platform, but there is a learning curve for new users, especially when working with advanced features and reporting. Some integrations and data onboarding processes can take time to set up, and certain AI recommendations still require manual validation. Pricing may also be challenging for smaller advertisers with limited budgets. While support is generally helpful, faster resolution times for technical issues and more streamlined workflows would further improve the overall experience.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk helps us solve the challenge of reaching the right audience across multiple channels from a single platform. Before using it, managing campaigns across different publishers and data sources was more time-consuming and less efficient. With The Trade Desk, we can activate audience data, optimize campaigns in real time, and access premium inventory across display, video, CTV, and audio. This has improved campaign performance, streamlined reporting, and helped us make better media buying decisions while maximizing ROI.

  ### 2. More Control and Real-Time Campaign Adjustments with The Trade Desk

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nijat I. | Full-stack Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

The audience targeting capabilities are why we stay. We run campaigns across display, CTV, and audio, and TTD gives us access to data segments we couldn't get elsewhere. The platform integrates with hundreds of data providers, and we can layer our own first-party data on top .

The new Kokai AI features changed how we optimize. Koa Adaptive Trading Modes launched in early 2026 - we use Performance Mode, where the AI dynamically adjusts bids in real time. Before this, we spent hours manually tweaking bids. Now the system does it while we sleep .

The customer support team is genuinely helpful. When we have questions about new features or need help troubleshooting, they respond quickly with actual answers, not generic copy-paste responses. Multiple reviews on Capterra mention the same thing - support is a real differentiator .

Connected TV inventory access is another big win. We run CTV campaigns for several clients, and TTD's access to premium streaming inventory is hard to match elsewhere. The new pause ads format that rolled out in May 2026 gives us another high-attention placement to work with .

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

The cost structure is frustrating. Every feature seems to have its own fee. Want certain data segments? Extra cost. Want advanced measurement? Extra cost. One reviewer on Capterra summed it up well - "each feature within the TTD platform has a cost" . For smaller clients with tight margins, this adds up fast.

The monthly minimum spend requirement is a barrier. When I worked at a smaller agency, TTD wasn't an option because we couldn't commit to the minimum monthly spend. They've added some flexibility, but it's still not friendly for smaller advertisers .

Reporting can be slow. Generating reports for large campaigns sometimes takes minutes to load. When you're in a client meeting and need to pull up performance numbers quickly, waiting for a report to generate is painful .

The learning curve is steep. New team members take weeks to get comfortable with the platform. The interface has a lot of depth, which is good for power users, but bad for onboarding. Koa helps automate some of the complexity, but you still need to understand what you're doing .

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before TTD, we were managing programmatic campaigns across multiple platforms - one for display, another for video, another for audio. Reporting was a nightmare. We'd pull numbers from three places, try to reconcile them in Excel, and still have inconsistencies.

TTD solved the fragmentation problem. Everything runs in one platform - display, CTV, audio, mobile, digital out of home. Cross-channel reporting shows performance side by side. We stopped spending hours reconciling numbers and started spending time optimizing.

The AI optimization solved our "set and forget" problem. In other platforms, you set bids and hope for the best. With Koa, the system adjusts based on real-time performance. We ran a test comparing manual optimization versus Koa Performance Mode on two identical campaigns. The Koa campaign had 30% lower CPA. That's not a small difference.

Audience Unlimited, which rolled out in late 2025, changed how we use third-party data. Before, we had to carefully select which data segments to buy because costs added up quickly. Now we pay a single fee and can layer in as many segments as we want. We tested this on a campaign and saw engagement rates improve by about 25% just from adding more relevant data signals .

For our CTV campaigns, the platform's inventory quality gives us confidence. We know we're buying from premium publishers, not random low-quality inventory. The Sincera integration that launched in May 2026 helps too - we can see publisher quality signals like ads-to-content ratio directly in the platform .

The platform isn't perfect. Costs add up. The minimum spend is real. Reports can be slow. But for serious programmatic buying at scale, nothing else comes close to the feature set and inventory access.

  ### 3. Flexible Campaign Building with Helpful Audience Insights and Cross-Channel Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dawson D. | Data Integration, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

I really value the flexibility this platform gives me to build campaigns and fine tune them as I go. Some areas of the dashboard could be more inutive when I’m tryinh to track down settings I don’t use very often Trade Desk includes a lot of options, so it takes time to learn where everything lives and to remember where to go when I need something specific.

Trade Desk strenght is the level of control it gives me over my campagins. I especailly like that I can manage multiple inventory sources, rather than constantly switching between different tools. The breadth of connections and the optimization options also helps me keep everything better orgainzed, which makes campagin management feel clearer and easier to handle.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

Trade Desk interface offers of advanced options, which I really appreciate, but that depth also means even straightforward tasks can sometimes take more clicks than I’d expect. For that reason, new usera may benefit from some initial onbaording or guidance so they can find their new way around the platform more smoothly and use it with confidence.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk provides a board set of targeting options and keeps it straightforward to manage campaigns across display, CTV, audio and mobile. Tools like Kokai, Campaign Rails and real time reporting offer a solid visibility into how campaigns are performing and the Google Analytics integration is especially helpful for tracking results alongside key website metrics.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

A few of the reporting views would benefit from additional customization options and most users will probably need some training before they feel fully confident navigating interface.

The Trade Desk centralizes programmatic adversting across multiple channels, which helps marketing teams spend less time switchinv between platforms and makes daily campaign management more streamlined. **What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

I like the Deal Desk features for managing private marketplace deals. The bid factor makes it simple to adjust bidding based on performance and the Inventory Marketplace provides plenty of quality inventory options. We also use the Oracle Data Cloud integration to improve audience targeting, which in turn makes Trade Desk easier for us to use.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

The Trade Desk dashboard comes with a lot of options, so it can take take a little while to get comfortable navigating everything. Some reports also need a bit of additional setup before they’re genuinely useful, but once that reporting makes it straigtforward review results and keep track of performance over time.

It integrates smoothly with LiveRamp, Oracle Data Cloud and the third party data providers, which makes it much easier to activate and work with audience Predictor feature: it helps me estimate campagin scale before launch and provides detailed insights, so my optimization decisions feel more data driven and confident.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

Some thrid party data segments can get pricey, depending on your campaign goals. And if you’re new to the platform, it can take time to get a clear feel for how different auidence selections and bidding strategies influence delivery.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk helps me keep audience targeting and campagin optimization orgainzed. Instead of juggling multiple systems for targeting and reporting everything frels more centralized and straightforward and the workflow is clearer more streamlined and much easier for me to manage.

I liked Trade Desk for many reason such as the reach it provides and the UI experience of the platform I also had the chance of contacting the support and it was a good experience and my problem was solved

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

What I dislike about Trade Desk is that it is not easy to learn especially when you are coming from Google Ads I know it's not directly comparable but the learning curve is very steep also the price of the tool, which is mostly focused for an interpresie and if you are not an enterprise it's too costly

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trade desk helped me move away from the Meta and Google ads as this does not limit us to just search and social media it helped us go beyond that, it helped us in better targetting and it also saved time from manual campaign optimization

The real-time reporting is a great tool, saving me time while managing digital campaigns with audience insight data, performance analysis, and automated optimization. Overall, The Trade Desk platform works very well for me, and the initial setup was easy.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

I think a more interactive and simpler interface would work perfectly. Also, having advanced features explained before using tutorials would be better.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use The Trade Desk for digital advertising campaign management, audience targeting, and real-time reporting. It saves my time by providing audience insight data, performance analysis, and automated optimization.

I also appreciate how is depth reporting is and tools like Koa AI and Audience Builder make optimization more straightforward. It integrates smoothly with LiveRamp, DoubleVerify and IAS, which helps keep our workflow streamlined.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

It takes some time to learn because there are so many settings and reports. The interface in Trade Desk can also feel a bit busy, especially when I’m trying to track down specific options.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped us manage our programmatic campagins across multiple channels. We’ve been able to fine tune our targetting, track performance more easily and use our budget more efficiently overall.

  ### 13. Straightforward Kokai Interface That Streamlines Programmatic Campaign Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pieter B. | Product Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

Trade Desk brings all our programmatic campaigns together and Kokai interface is straightforward and easy to navigate and its integration with our data measurement tool helps streamline campagin management, making the process smoother and more efficient.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

Trade Desk platform definitely has a learning curve and early on its not always clear where some of the more advanced settings are located. Reporting can also feel somewhat sluggish, particularly when you’re pulling reports from larger datasets, which can make the process feel slower than expected.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trade Desk platform definitely comes with a bit of learning curve and at first it isn’t always obvious where to find some of the more advanced settings and reporting can also feel somewhat slow, particularly when you’re pulling or reviewing large datasets.

  ### 14. Control and Scalability with Complex Setup

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Praney M. | Product Design Manager 2, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

I like that The Trade Desk gives me a bit more control than most ad platforms without feeling completely chaotic once you get used to it. The audience targeting setup is pretty strong and useful, especially when trying to go beyond basic demographic stuff and layering signals. The flexibility to rebuild messy or half-defined segments into something more usable is invaluable. While the reporting isn't pretty or intuitive at first, it becomes decent and functional enough to connect spend with performance across channels, which helps in reducing chaos when explaining campaign results to clients.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

A few things feel a bit more painful than they should. The learning curve is probably the first one. It’s not very forgiving for new users, and even simple things like setting up campaigns or finding specific reports can feel unnecessarily layered. We've had situations where onboarding new team members took longer than expected just because the interface isn’t very intuitive. Also, reporting could definitely be cleaner. It works, but it feels like it was built more for depth than clarity. When you’re trying to explain performance to clients quickly, you sometimes end up exporting data and cleaning it outside the tool because the native view isn’t always presentation-friendly.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk solves fragmented media buying, centralizes campaign reporting, and offers solid targeting and control at scale. It streamlines managing multichannel campaigns without flipping through platforms.

  ### 15. revenue changing platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nisha R. | VP Sales, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

The Trade Desk is solving a big problem having advertising data all over the place. It's really easy to set up and use. Now, I don't have to keep switching between lots of different tabs because everything I need is right in front of me. This makes it clear what's working and what's not, so I don't waste money. Finally, I can see where all my money is going and it makes sense.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

To be honest, the reporting process can be a bit frustrating at times, it takes a lot of clicks to get to the information I need, which can be annoying. Another thing that's not perfect is the minimum spend commitments, they're not great if you're working with a limited budget. However, these are just small issues, they're not deal-breakers, just minor annoyances that pop up every now and then. Overall, it's still a good system, but these few things could be improved to make it more user-friendly.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They fixed the headache of dealing with scattered ad platforms. I’m not jumping between ten different tools anymore because everything is right there. That clarity makes it easy to track actual returns without overpaying. The pricing now makes sense, and I see where every dollar goes. its performing amazing.

  ### 16. easy to monetise your campaigns

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikita k. | Head of Sales, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

The Trade Desk is really impressive because it works so well with lots of different data partners, which makes setting up campaigns a breeze. It performs incredibly well, giving us real-time insights and a great return on investment. And on top of that, their customer support team is always quick to respond and happy to lend a hand, which is a big plus. Overall, it's a great tool that makes our job easier and helps us get the results we're looking for.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

To be honest, The Trade Desk is a good platform, but its user interface can be a bit too much to handle at times. It takes some time to find what you're looking for in the settings. And for smaller brands, the minimum amount you have to spend is a major drawback.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk is a game changer when it comes to dealing with ads that are all over the place. It brings everything together in one place, making it so much easier to manage. I've seen a big boost in my return on investment thanks to its smart targeting features. Sure, the price is a bit higher than some other options, but the fact that I can see exactly what's going on and get better results makes it well worth the extra cost.

  ### 17. easy to access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammed J. | ad operation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

The Trade Desk is hands-down the best DSP out there. I love its independent, transparent platform that gives real control over programmatic ads across CTV, video, and more without the walled gardens. Killer tech, strong results, and privacy-focused innovation. Total game-changer for advertisers.Best to use and integration.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

The Trade Desk can be a real pain super steep learning curve, way too complex with endless settings, and those high fees plus minimum spends make it expensive as hell for smaller budgets. Reports load slow, and the new Kokai AI rollout feels buggy and less transparent lately. Not beginner-friendly at all.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk solves the big headaches of walled gardens and lack of control in programmatic ads. It gives me true transparency, unbiased access to premium open web and CTV inventory, plus powerful AI via Kokai for smarter targeting and optimisation without conflicts of interest.
This means better ROI, efficient spend, and real data ownership, helping my campaigns actually perform and scale profitably.

  ### 18. Easy-to-Use Programmatic Platform for Running Client Ads

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara Y. | Digital Campaigns Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

I like that it’s a programmatic platform that allows agencies to run ads on behalf of our clients. Its user interface is easy to understand and use for all.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

It can take a while to set up an ad campaign, especially in a fast-paced environment. Also, it isn’t immediately easy to find in-depth reporting and analytics.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk helps us run programmatic display, video, and Connected TV ads all in one platform. There are no additional fees or hidden costs when using any of its features, which makes it straightforward to use across different campaign types.

  ### 19. Transparent, Data-Driven Platform—But Performance and Reporting Can Lag

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

I appreciate how focused they are on building technology instead of simply selling media. The platform feels genuinely data-driven and more transparent than others in the space, particularly when it comes to optimization and reporting.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

If I had to point out areas for improvement, I’d say the platform can sometimes feel a bit heavy from a performance standpoint, particularly when working with large datasets. I’ve also noticed that reporting can take a while depending on how it’s set up, which can affect agility when you need insights quickly. From a client perspective, fees can also be a factor when comparing platforms. That said, I understand these are often trade-offs that come with more advanced capabilities.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the main problems The Trade Desk helps solve is the operational complexity of running programmatic campaigns across multiple partners. Thanks to its integrations, it’s much easier to connect data, inventory, and measurement in a single place. Another key factor is support: having a responsive email support team really helps reduce downtime and keep things moving when issues come up. For me, that means I can execute campaigns more efficiently and with greater confidence.

  ### 20. great platform media buyer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mohd juned a. | sales manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

What I like most about The Trade Desk is the transparency and the level of control it gives me over my campaigns. Unlike some other platforms, I can clearly see where my budget is going, track how bids are performing in real time, and optimize at a very granular level.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

The most frustrating thing for me about The Trade Desk is the steep learning curve. Even with experience using other DSPs, it still takes a lot of time to feel truly comfortable on the platform—especially since they moved everything over to the new Kokai interface. On some days it feels overly complex, with too many settings and options, and it’s easy to get lost if you’re not in it every single day.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The audience targeting is seriously powerful — especially with their AI tools (like Kokai) that help find new high-performing segments without me having to guess. Plus, the omnichannel reach is excellent; running display, video, CTV, and audio all in one place with consistent data and reporting just makes everything smoother and more effective.
It feels like a platform built for buyers, not for pushing any particular inventory. The results speak for themselves — better performance and clearer insights than most DSPs I've used

  ### 21. Quality Open-Internet Access, But Some Features Need More Transparency

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

I've always liked that TheTradeDesk exist as a unique DSP partner in our industry - they are the only 'big vendor' who don't own their own supply, so don't have their own agenda. Their value exists in granting buyers, like us, the most wide access to the open internet. With other products layered in to ensure we have the best opportunity to succeed for our clients.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

Some of the products they sell are not as transparent as they could be. There have been instances where we haven't known we've been using one of their features, even if we thought we'd 'opted out' it turned out we hadn't. I know this is a public challenge they've faced.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a platform that allows us a great deal of flexibility and control over our campaign activations - which TTD gives us. They also service us really well. While the platform is self serve, we have access to a team of people who help us ensure we're maximising our efforts.

  ### 22. Clear Cross-Device Targeting and UID2 Insights, Plus Easy Lotame & Google Analytics Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole R. | Performance Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

Trade Desk clearly explains how Cross-Device Targeting helps reach the right audience and how Unified ID 2.0 (UID2) supports stronger identity matching and more transparent campagin insights and integration with Lotame and Google Analytics also make it eaiser for us to understand performance, without needing any extra work on our side.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

There are a lot of campaign options, which can be a bit overwhelming at first. Some reports also take time to customize and a few need additional setup before they’re truly useful and easy to work with.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us manage larger campaigns more efficiently reach the right audience across devices and make better decisions thanks to Trade Desk detailed reporting.

  ### 23. Unified Platform for Multi-Channel Campaigns

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nabin K. | Activation Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

I really like the recent upgrade to the Kokai experience because it's very user-friendly. The setup and campaign management are super easy, and I can see the campaign performance all in one place, like a periodic table. The Ad group overview lets us efficiently manage campaigns and make changes easily. We also manage multiple creatives, audience targeting, and have more control over inventory, which has helped us increase conversions by aiming at specific audiences. Plus, the brand safety and prompt service from the representatives have been great. The setup process was smooth thanks to the guidance from The Trade Desk representative, who stayed on the call with us. I'd say it's a strong 8 out of 10 for recommending to a friend or colleague.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

The most concerning thing about The Trade Desk is the associated data cost and fee features cost. The media cost is almost 55%-60% sometimes. There was a campaign which was related to the ticket sales for a cricket client. The total conversion was below our benchmark even after following all the suggestions and recommendations from the Trade Desk rep. Upon reviewing, we found that most of the media costs were associated with the interest targeting fees related to the cricket fans.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk allows me to run ads across various channels in one interface, streamlining campaign management and performance measurement. The Kokai upgrade makes setup user-friendly and efficient, enhancing audience targeting and inventory control, leading to a 15% conversion increase.

  ### 24. Fast-Changing Ad Tech Landscape Can Be Demanding, Despite The Trade Desk’s Strengths

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

One of the things I admire most about The Trade Desk is its commitment to the open internet, along with its focus on bringing more transparency, objectivity, and data-driven decision-making to digital advertising. The company has built an independent platform that helps advertisers reach audiences across multiple channels, while also giving them greater control and clearer visibility into performance.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

I don’t have any major dislikes about The Trade Desk. If I had to point to a challenge, it’s that the digital advertising industry evolves extremely quickly, with constant shifts in privacy regulations, identity solutions, and measurement standards. That said, I see this more as an opportunity than a drawback, because The Trade Desk has consistently positioned itself at the forefront of innovation and adaptation. The pace can be demanding at times, but it’s also a big part of why the company continues to stand out as a leader in the industry.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk is addressing several important challenges in digital advertising, including fragmented media channels, limited transparency in ad buying, inefficient campaign measurement, and the industry’s shift toward a more privacy-conscious future. Its platform enables advertisers to access inventory across channels such as Connected TV, video, audio, mobile, and display from a single place, while also offering greater control and clearer visibility into campaign performance.

What I love most about The Trade Desk is that everything just works. The platform performs like a dream fast and reliable and their customer support is genuinely helpful whenever I need them. The integrations are also super smooth; I can connect to almost anything without headaches, which really makes my job easier. On top of that, the pricing is very affordable, and the intelligence is excellent with a great UI.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

Honestly, the main thing is the learning curve. It's so powerful that it takes time to find everything. Also, the interface can feel a bit cluttered sometimes, and I wish the reporting loaded just a little faster. Nothing major, just small stuff that makes you pause for a second.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s helped me solve the mess of scattered ad data. Before, I couldn’t clearly tell what was working. Now I can see exactly which ads matter across different platforms, so I’m not wasting money and I’m getting better results for my clients. I also sleep better knowing I’m making smart choices based on real insight, not just guessing.

  ### 26. Easy to Integrate, Powerful Interface, and Responsive Support

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

I love how The Trade Desk helps me centralize CTV, OLV, and Display campaigns all in one platform, reducing fragmentation and improving efficiency. I appreciate having strong control over targeting, bidding, and frequency, which helps me optimize performance in real time. My favorite part is the reporting tool; creating reports is very easy, and it automatically provides a pivot table with the key info I need, which makes analysis and optimization much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

The transition to Kokai hasn't been as smooth for me. While it's intended to be more user-friendly, it actually makes some workflows more complex. I often have to switch between Kokai and Solimar to make campaign changes, which slows down execution and affects efficiency.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me centralize CTV, OLV, and Display campaigns in one platform, reducing fragmentation and improving efficiency. I get strong control over targeting, bidding, and frequency, optimizing performance in real-time. I also appreciate the detailed reporting, cross-channel reach (especially CTV), and the ability to make real-time adjustments based on reliable insights, which helps consistently improve results.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

The main downside of The Trade Desk is the learning curve, especially for new users, as the platform offers many advanced features that take time to fully master. Additionally, smaller advertisers may find the minimum spend and complexity higher compared to simpler ad platforms. However, once learned, these features become a strong advantage for scaling and optimizing campaigns effectively.

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

The Trade Desk really holds its own on performance because the targeting is so granular. I like that the connections to our other data tools work without a headache. Plus, the support team is fast and helpful, which makes a big difference daily.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

The platform is powerful, but it’s a lot to take in when you are a beginner. My main dislike is the constant interface updates; right when I learn where a button lives, it seems to move. It’s pretty annoying to deal with.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This setup replaces the mess of manual ad buying and makes the workflow much easier. It drives better performance because the targeting is reliable. Having a solid support person to rely on saves me a lot of time and unnecessary stress.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

The platform is great, but sometimes reporting dashboard can lag when you are trying to load massive data sets. It works well otherwise you just need a bit patience.

The biggest benefit of The Trade Desk is the continuous updates to the platform’s UI and UX, which steadily improve the experience over time. Feedback is consistently taken on board, and it shows in how the platform keeps evolving.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

There are still a few features and integrations from the previous Solimar interface that haven’t fully made their way into the newer Kokai interface. As a result, I sometimes need to revert back to the previous UI interface.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a DSP platform, I feel it gives me one of the best overviews when a campaign is live. The shopping cart and ad group health features add helpful transparency and make it easier to understand what’s going on at a glance.

  ### 34. Intuitive UI with Superior Transparency and Power

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nabih S.

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

I love The Trade Desk's intuitive UI and the level of transparency it provides across the entire media buying process. The omnichannel integration, especially for CTV and audio, makes it incredibly easy to scale complex campaigns from a single dashboard. The intuitive UI speeds up campaign management, while deep transparency ensures every dollar is spent efficiently on high-performing inventory. It's the gold standard for programming power and transparency.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

I find the high monthly minimum spend requirement to be a barrier for smaller campaigns, and the platform's advanced features have a steep learning curve for new team members. The initial setup is also moderately complex due to the extensive technical configurations required for tracking and data integration. The high entry cost is the only thing holding back a perfect score for me.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk centralizes media buying, solving digital ad fragmentation. It eliminates wasted ad spend using real-time AI and provides high precision targeting. Its intuitive UI speeds up campaign management and transparent processes ensure efficient spending on top-performing inventory.

  ### 40. Powerful Reporting and Targeting, Though the Interface Can Feel Overwhelming

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

  ### 41. Transparent Data and Seamless Integration, But Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trang D. | Performance Digital Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

1. True Data Transparency and Ownership
Unlike walled gardens, TTD gives us a comprehensive, unbiased view of campaign performance across the open internet. I can see exactly where my ads are running and why I won that bid. This level of clarity is crucial because it allows us to perform genuine A/B testing on inventory and optimize media spend with much higher confidence.

2. Platform Agnostic Integration
The second best thing is TTD's platform-agnostic approach. It allows us to integrate our first-party data (CRM, offline sales) with their vast array of third-party data providers seamlessly. This means we can build incredibly complex and precise audience segments and activate them across every major channel—CTV, display, audio, and video—all from one single unified dashboard. It moves us away from fragmented, channel-specific buying to truly integrated, data-driven orchestration."

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

Cost Structure and Minimums budget
Cost of Entry: The platform is generally designed for large advertisers and often comes with high minimum spend requirements or tiered pricing models that can be prohibitive for smaller budgets.

Operational Costs: Beyond media spend, clients must often factor in the cost of data licensing (buying audience data through TTD) and the platform fee itself. These costs, combined with the required human capital, can increase the total cost of ownership significantly.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Limited Audience Segment:
TTD's Solution: Advanced Data Integration and Targeting. TTD excels at allowing marketers to layer multiple high-quality third-party data segments on top of their own first-party data.
My Benefit: Precision and Relevance. You can target extremely niche, valuable audiences with high accuracy (e.g., targeting known car buyers who have recently visited specific financial websites), leading to higher conversion rates and better Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).

  ### 42. Best DSP, but sometimes over does it

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James S. | Programmatic Account Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2025

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

TTD in terms of DSP’s is by far the most advanced and technical one out there. When comparing it to the likes of DV360 and Amazon the platform has a lot more capabilities and is a more streamlined platform when comped to Amazon which mirrors a similar set up

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

There’s two parts of the TTD that can be annoying the first is reporting, any metric you want to pull requires a separate report and what it is named is a mystery. It would be helpful if what the metrics named were universal. The other thing is TTDs constant need to update the platform although this is good once you get use to one system there is a new one you need to learn, I think it would be better if they refined the current one rather than making new ones.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TTD advance targeting capabilities allows me to find the right audience for the brand. Also due to the niche optimisations and granularity you can get to I can always optimise campaigns to boost performance.

  ### 43. Simplifies Asset Management with Ease

I like the ease of managing my assets with The Trade Desk. It's the simplicity of The Trade Desk that really stands out to me. The portfolio monitoring feature is something I value, and the initial setup was pretty easy.

The Trade Desk makes managing my assets easier and I appreciate its simplicity.

  ### 44. Easy Performance Tracking with Powerful Partner & AI Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

The platform and how easy it is to track performance. The integration with different prog partners and AI Integration is really uself for optimisation

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

the lack of first party data from competitors like google and meta would something of a downside using tradedesk, also leading to more pressure from the advertising agenices

It is an idependent and transparent platform with no biases which really helps to understand the real campaign performance so media planner and buyers can take a real call on how to optimise for the campaign

  ### 45. Powerful Platform for Programmatic Advertising

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DM A. | Digital Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

I really like how much control and transparency The Trade Desk gives me when running ad campaigns. The real-time reporting is super helpful — I can track performance, adjust budgets, and tweak targeting on the fly. It also has a huge range of audience targeting options, and the data integrations make it easy to reach the right users. Overall, it feels like a very powerful and flexible platform once you get the hang of it.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

The biggest downside for me was the initial learning curve the platform can feel a bit overwhelming when you're just starting out. There are a lot of features and settings, and it takes some time to fully understand how everything works together. Also, the user interface isn’t the most intuitive, especially compared to some newer tools. It’s powerful, but not always beginner-friendly. A bit more in-platform guidance or tutorials would definitely help.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Trade Desk helps me solve the challenge of reaching the right audience at the right time through programmatic ads. Before, it was hard to get full visibility into how campaigns were performing across different channels. Now, with The Trade Desk, I can track everything in real time, optimize based on data, and manage multiple types of campaigns (mobile, display, video) from one platform. This has improved ad performance, reduced wasted spend, and given me much more control and transparency over my marketing efforts.

The pricing can be expensive for some types of teams, which makes the decision-making process harder to finalize. Also, the plans aren’t as flexible as our team would like.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Their omnichanel solutions alongside with Programatic buying solutions as it hasn't been our area of expertise, they bring the best of the best to work on it

  ### 47. Tradedesk: Up-to-Date DSP with Kokai AI That Optimizes Campaigns

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tista L. | Account Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

Tradedesk is the most up to date demand side platform which uses Kokai ( the AI) to optimize the campaigns, different ad groups can be setup under one common campaign regarding of the format.

They also work globally which is a plus and they have a very responsive account management team

Pricing is not always fully disclosed - it's sometimes hard to identify the end cost so it's a bit of a black box. Besides that, I think KOKAI was a bit confusing to get used to

It's automating programmatic activations and allow to select different ad tech providers within the ecosystem, like data providers or measurment tools

  ### 50. Amazing Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayushi g. | Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2025

**What do you like best about The Trade Desk?**

I like best about The Trade Desk is its AI driven Kokai platform, which transforms programmatic advertising by making it both powerful and intuitive. Kokai’s advanced AI, built on the foundation of Koa, optimizes campaigns in real-time across channels like display, video, CTV, and audio, delivering impressive results like 43% lower cost per unique reach and up to 84% lower cost per acquisition for brands like Sky.

**What do you dislike about The Trade Desk?**

Slow Reporting Reports can load slowly, which frustrates users needing quick campaign insights during critical moments.
ome users find the interface, especially the Kokai platform, tricky to navigate, requiring switching between systems like Solimar for certain tasks, which feels inefficient.

**What problems is The Trade Desk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving Time Automation and streamlined tools let me set up and manage campaigns quickly, freeing me to focus on strategy rather than manual tasks.
Global reach and multi channel support help me expand campaigns without extra hassle, perfect for targeting diverse markets.
