"Love SharpSpring"

What do you like best?

- Pricing is great for reselling to clients.

- All of the feature included have made the consolidation of products an obvious alternative for clients.

- Customer support has been awesome!

- Sales is more efficient

What do you dislike?

Nothing is wrong with the product but the landing page builder took some time to get used to, I was spoiled with having Unbounce for years. If you have a developer or designer on staff its no problem as you can code it, but it did take a few tries to get used to the builder.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you're sick of tier pricing go with SharpSpring.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's been great.

We've eliminated tracking leads on multiple forms (in sales process was one, while closed won was another), and have been able to keep things uniform within the platform across our sales department. We've decreased time and internal touchpoints before first contact with a lead. There's know an ability to understand where people are falling out of the buying funnel and an ability to reengage in a smart way.

"Marketing Automation & CRM Review - SharpSpring"

What do you like best?

- Support is unparalleled in my experience

- The interface is easy to use so my clients, each with varying degrees of technical skill, have seamlessly been on-boarded

- All the features needed to send quality emails and create automations

- The email templates make it easy for clients to get started right away

What do you dislike?

- I wish when using the CRM you the ability to create custom reports like Salesforce. Many clients have used Salesforce before so they are accustomed to that feature. If SharpSpring had the ability to drag and drop certain metrics into a report the CRM would be perfect!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Many clients come to us with no form of customer management so we recommend SharpSpring as a CRM. They also are excited to learn that not only can they manage their leads with SharpSpring, they can also send personalized emails based on their interactions with their lead database. SharpSpring ends up solving two problems for them in one platform.

"Marketing and Sales Usage Review - SharpSpring"

What do you like best?

SharpSpring is easy to use, understand and robust marketing automation and CRM software. You are able to quickly master the basics - in this instance the email marketing and sales pipeline functionality of the platform. It is constantly being updated and new features are rolled out on a consistent basis - they even ask for user requests and are regularly updated with those requests. The email creation aspect of the software - from email designs to workflow creations is seamless and very straight forward. The user support is top notch.

What do you dislike?

SharpSpring could use to update its email creation platform to be a little more non-code friendly. To do some features such as hide pre-header text or resize images require multiple steps where other platforms allow you to do it all drag and drop style.

Reporting could be improved

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

SharpSpring has allowed us to implement robust and visual email marketing to our agency offering. We have also been able to get our sales team on the same page and tracking correspondence with clients and leads all the while moving them along the sales path in an easy to follow workflow.

"Marketing Automation at Its Best"

What do you like best?

SharpSpring is a best-in-class marketing automation solution. It allows us to track leads, make connections through custom workflows, and trace sales through the sales pipeline. We have seen an increase in profitability since using the tool and are looking forward to another successful year in 2019. We recommend it to businesses big and small!

What do you dislike?

While we are pleased with many of the capabilities of automated workflows, we are still looking for ways to improve the tracking of dynamic content and hope to be able to add action steps retroactively in the future.

Recommendations to others considering the product

SharpSpring will transform the way you sell, interact with customers, and work as a team. It has opened up for us opportunities that would not have been available through any other platform!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to keep track of contacts with opportunities and follow up in a timely manner. We are also able to track our website analytics, and this encourages us to create content that is optimized for our ideal personas.

"Unrivalled Customer Support / Friendly Marketing Automation"

What do you like best?

- The agency support is amazing; case studies, client training, 1-2-1 advice and troubleshooting. You get responses back within hours, if not in under an hour.

- You can delve into a lot of detail with the marketing automation & yet it is very easy to construct.

- Our clients really like the CRM & the usability of Pipelines, particularly the reminders to call people.

- Constructing emails is easy

What do you dislike?

- The mobile app; you cannot view reports on the app which is a big bug bear for some of our clients; it's only the CRM. You go to the website, on your phone which is fine (does the job) but improvements could be made for a more functional app.

- A small one; but you only have a limited use of emojis to use for social media posts.

Recommendations to others considering the product

- You get an on-boarding specialist who is on hand for 6 weeks. I'd advise milking this & trying to glean as much info as you can about each aspect.

The customer support after on-boarding is still superb but it takes a little longer to book in meetings.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

- Problems solved: dramatically reduced client workloads through automation. Sifting through leads & gleaning more information before the client needs to become involved.

- Reporting ROI on lead quality! What marketing streams are bringing in those quality leads, rather than just volume of leads.

"Solid marketing automation platform"

What do you like best?

Easy-to-use platform that makes marketing automation simple for both our agency and our clients. Great partner agency program that provides huge value for us.

Some of the best SharpSpring features include: VisitorID (the ability to see which individuals and companies and looking at your website), detailed email reports, visual workflows, and pre-designed email templates.

What do you dislike?

SharpSpring is not as robust as other marketing automation platforms. As a result, it lacks many features that other systems have and the site often glitches. It's difficult to automate drip campaigns, notifications, etc. as the automation functionality is missing a number of key features. CRM is also not intuitive and lacking a lot of basic search/filtering functionally. Additionally, you may have to know a bit of HTML to design emails, as the pre-built templates can be a bit finicky.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use SharpSpring for our own content marketing and for the contact marketing needs of our clients. SharpSpring has allowed us to grow our own business and generate meaningful sales qualified leads for our clients.

"Easy to use and delivers plenty of marketing automation features."

What do you like best?

The ease of use plus the drag and drop. Sharpspring is easy to use as long as you spend the time required to learn how it works - this is really the same for any platform.

I found the customer support invaluable (who doesn't?) and I was always able to figure out solution working with the support team.

The platform has tons of features and it pretty much does everything you'll want to from a marketing automation perspective.

What do you dislike?

Handy to have a little HMTL knowledge as some of the tweaks you'll want to make will require that HTML coding experience. It's not that challenging but was some time since I last used basic HTML so it took me a while to play catch up. If you've a dedicated resource to help with the rollout and upkeep, then no problem.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Spend time learning how to use the platform - it will repay that time many times over.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Automating lead generation workflows.

Creating workflows for a wide variety of different personas.

"Very Comprehensive Marketing Automation Platform"

What do you like best?

SharpSpring is fantastic! It has so many features that it is easy to use as your dashboard for everything. It also integrates very easily with other apps and programs, making it even more functional. The customer service is bar none.

What do you dislike?

If you're not very tech savvy or are new to this type of software, it can be a little overwhelming. There are SO many features that it creates a bit of a learning curve. There are also many different ways to accomplish the same thing, so it can be difficult to decide on the best possible workflow.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Go through the provided training! It's a lot to learn, but they really help you to get the most out of the product.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Automating email drip campaigns is SO easy with SharpSpring. It's also so intuitive and easy to track analytics and metrics for individual campaigns or leads. A huge benefit is being able to do everything from one place, rather than having email campaigns run through MailChimp, leads accessed through SalesForce, Analytics through Google, etc. Everything is all in one place.

"Great Platform! Design can be frustrating"

What do you like best?

I love how our team can jump into SharpSpring and track everything about a prospect. Being able to use this to communicate easily with automation and congregating all of your data for easy sales flow and customer service are both great assets and help make our job easier.

What do you dislike?

The only real complaint we have about SharpSpring is the design platform. It is challenging to get a final product that we all love that will function the way we need. Often it is too plain and also the platform in and of itself is very difficult to use.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Take the plunge. This can tie your whole organization together and make communicating with your customers simple.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Client communication, sales, customer service, data storage. We use Sharp Spring for almost everything. We have been able to dump 4 products just because Sharp Spring has those capabilities.

"Lagging in some areas"

What do you like best?

I do like SharpSpring's interface. It is intuitive and good looking. The marketing automation is pretty good, including workflows and rules-based lists. The integration with Google Ads is helpful for reporting for clients as well. The Life of the Lead feature is also great to look at and very helpful.

What do you dislike?

The email builder is disappointing. HTML emails never seem to come through the way they look in SharpSpring. Also with managing different clients, I have to deal with a legacy builder for some and a new builder for others. Things are often not editable the way I would like or they are not easily moved around in a template.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

CRM, marketing automation, web site forms, marketing campaigns and emails, analytics and reporting. The best benefit is that it helps identify hot leads with the lead score and you can see what actions people took and which pages they visited. It also makes good rules-based lists for segmentation in email campaigns. I can also set up nice automation workflows for clients to save them time on their operations.

"Extremely Customer Focused and a great amount of features for the price."

What do you like best?

They have a lot of features that other MA tools don't have for the price. They seem to really focus on technology for the companies using it. It is mostly out of the box tools, but they have a decent amount of API capability that we have taken advantage of.

What do you dislike?

It is mostly out of the box so it sacrifices some of CRM features and other out of the box features are a little less customize-able than some other, albeit more expensive, tools like Salesforce, Pardot, and Marketo.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Great customer focused strategy and technology and they are a mid-tier cost with a lot of features and a fair amount of customizability. Good API for those that want to take advantage of that with good documentation and support.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Instant contact with customers that request info or submit forms. It also gives us the ability to spread our MA to all of our business units using their multiple account system.

"A Great Marketing Automation Platform Without the Pricetag"

What do you like best?

I love that it has everything. I can build emails and landing pages with a best in class visual builder. I can use workflows for automation based on any activity or property that I want. Contact records details and the timeline looks great, reporting is robust, and the social media tool does exactly what I need it to.

What do you dislike?

The biggest downer is that you have to pay to (Litmus) test your marketing emails. Doesn't make sense at all. The UI is not as visually appealing as something like HubSpot (which is 2-3x the price), but it is easier to keep organized. Visuals are better than some others out there that cost more than it though (Pardot, Act-On).

Recommendations to others considering the product

If your team needs a tool that can help them run both sales and marketing, keep it organized and report on it, there's no reason not to use it.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're organizing our marketing and being able to properly execute a strategy. We can schedule, plan, build, execute and report on campaigns and every assets that makes them up. Doing all of that lets us turn around and realize our ROI on marketing efforts (because we use SharpSpring's CRM as well as marketing product).

"Sharpspring and Stellar Support!"

What do you like best?

Sharpspring, by far, has the most outstanding tools to assist with any questions that you may have. Extremely responsive, I have been able to get an answer pretty much 'on the spot'! If you wish to discuss your issue, it takes less than one minute to talk to one of their team experts!

What do you dislike?

Having working with Sharpspring for 8 months I have yet to find anything that I dislike.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you are seeking an automation system that provides you with a stellar experience, along with the best customer support, Sharpspring is the answer. For me, being able to resolve an issue in a timely manner is the key to optimal efficiency. Sharpspring is extremely responsive and provides video 'solutions' to nearly any question that you may have.

"SharpSpring is ideal for SMEs and marketing managers in companies"

What do you like best?

I like the email marketing system with SharpSpring, with the email builder, email templates and simple campaign setup. With the addition of the automation features, this is the best email marketing system I have used. I like the fact I can tag contacts from our CRM and use triggers and tags for automation.

What do you dislike?

The social sharing to LinkedIn is not intuitive when I want to share images and pictures. The learning curve on this feature is a bit tough, through adding media to AWS first, then linkink the media.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Allow yourself quite a few months to fully get to understand all features of this product. You certainly can start to see improvemts in your marketing within a month, and the more you put into the setup, the more you get back in the long run. When considering SharpSpring, if you are in it for the long term, it should not let you down.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Adding automation to our workflow adds about 10% efficiency to our marketing efforts, allowing us to do more campaigns and track them properly.

"SharpSpring is a constructive marketing platform"

What do you like best?

I work as a Digital Marketing Manager at e-intelligence, my team has to work with SharpSpring

for our marketing activities. After using it for a quarter, I can say that subscribing the software is a

very good decision for my business. Few points that I liked about the software:

1)They provide great customer service, 2) The initial training facilitates getting acquainted to the software, 3) It is an easy-to-use software, 4) It gets upgraded over time, 5) They send alert when the user opens the email, 6) Its sales pipeline function allows to generate multiple reports and can even export the data, 7) Lead score makes it easy for maintaining a lead status and automating lead touch points

What do you dislike?

There are few areas where SharpSpring is still trying to match with the other providers:

1) You need to spare a considerable amount of time learning the software, but once used, it is a comprehensive platform. 2) The email builder tool can be improved by making it user-friendly. It is still much better than the competitors. 3) It becomes glitchy when new features are implemented. The automation function does not work at its full potential during such a scenario. 4) Its mobile app is clumsy at times while opening. It is not as good as the Web view.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Well, more than 1000 digital marketing agencies have been using SharpSpring. Undoubtedly, I am one of them. If your marketing activities need attention and if you are seriously looking to grow your customer base with marketing and sales efforts, then I would definitely say that SharpSpring is worth a try. However, always consider the following before you opt for any marketing automation software:

1) Research the marketing tools and choose according to your marketing needs, 2) Calculate/consider the amount of time spent on learning the software, 3) Check the demonstration of the software before buying the subscription.

"Gets the job done but can be very unpredictable in terms of reliability"

What do you like best?

It's great that multiple people can be in any given email at once with the ability to change and edit the content.

What do you dislike?

The major pitfall of Sharpspring is that your ability to use the platform depends on your account's "health." It seems almost unpredictable to predict your account's health and they'll simply lock you out without any warning. Then it is extremely difficult to get back into it because the customer service can be slow moving.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you're sure that many people are opening and engaging with out emails, Sharpspring is great. If it's harder to get people to open your emails and the emails are more of a means for getting your name out there, then I'd definitely recommend using Mailchimp instead.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're always able to get our name out there, which is a great benefit of Sharpspring, and we're able to see correlations between the types of content we send out and what actually gets read by our audience.

"Great experience"

What do you like best?

It is a really functional tool, it allows me to give a broad follow up to each of the prospects that my clients have. It is a tool where you can see a timeline of each of the prospects who are interested in your products or services.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the manual synchronization of emails, that is, the emails that do not belong to Hotmail or Gmail, are somewhat complicated when configuring them.

"Agency User Review of SharpSpring Marketing Automation"

What do you like best?

SharpSpring comes with all of the essentials to run effective marketing automation campaigns at a very, very competitive price. An easy user interface and features that make sense. SharpSpring has a very nice division between the sales and marketing functions making it easy for the different teams to utilize. They are always exploring and rolling out new features which is great, keeping the platform fresh.

What do you dislike?

The mobile app isn't quite there yet, but it's improving. The page and email builders are a little clunky. For high design LP's I don't recommend using the builder, but for quick LP's or emails that drive conversions, it works well.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Combining multiple disparate systems into one platform where marketing and sales could work together to better track ROI. SharpSpring combines many system functions into one platform allowing for easy ROI tracking, better marketing decisions, and speed of lead conversion, all with a better bottom line.

"SharpSpring Helps Create Warmer Leads for Marketing and Sales"

What do you like best?

VisitorID intelligence from your website visitors. Down to the name, company and title.

Email templates that are easy to drag n drop use.

Contact manager that shows every touchpoint a contact has had with our company. Every single one.

Social media listening dashboard is very flexible and easy to use

What do you dislike?

Lack of true, deep CRM capabilities. It does OK at CRM but it's got some ways to go to meet a Salesforce level CRM.

Better integration with Outlook

Confirm your actual needs for a CRM. Marketing automation is what SharpSpring excels at. The jury is still out if SharpSpring meets the needs of a true sales CRM tool.

"Complete package for a reasonable price."

What do you like best?

As a marketing agency we work on a daily base with the Sharpspring Automation software and we use it for our own marketing as to drive leads for our clients. What I definitly like is that Sharpspring has a great support team friendly and always willing to help. The learning curve is quite steep in the beginning but when you get the hang of it is easy to use. The company keeps adding new features to the software. They also really listen to their users concerning feature requests and issue's. Overall I'm more than happy with Sharpspring Marketing Automation.

What do you dislike?

In my opinion the email builder is not what it can be but Sharpspring is still developing this feature and it keeps getting better.

Recommendations to others considering the product

"Best Platform Based on Experience & Price"

What do you like best?

We love SharpSpring because it's powerful, easy-to-use and priced right. I've used other marketing automation platforms in the past. I can say SharpSpring is just was good, if not better than all the others we used. The amount of contact records you can get for the price is just not comparable. For example, if you use Hubspot, you're looking at 1000 contact records for $800 a month. Most companies need way, way more than 1000 records. With SharpSpring, you get a comparable product with a minimum of 10,000 records for $650 a month. If you go through Partner Agency, you may even get more contact records for the same price.

Overall, the product does what they say it does; and they are continually adding new features and improving older ones.

What do you dislike?

Once and while, there are too many steps or clicks to do simple tasks. And, I don't like how you can't do a mass deletion of say, contact records.

Recommendations to others considering the product

SharpSpring is like any other marketing automation platform, in that, you must compete fully in order to your full return on investment.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use SharpSpring to build our clients marketing funnels, do email campaigns, manage social media, track campaigns and associated sales with ROI. We find clients who commit to SharpSpring love how it brings everything together, so we as well as them, can manage their marketing performance better, increase leads, conversions and sales. Finally, the ability to track everything allows us to prove our value.

"Agency Overview For Sharpspring Marketing Automation "

What do you like best?

Having used other marketing automation products in the past, SharpSpring comes in with a fresh and relevant product, packed full of workflow features that help our marketing team and sales team reach their goals. They are always nes features in planning and SharpSpring are very welcoming of new feature requests.

What do you dislike?

The mobile app is a little basic in terms of full automation access but works well as a CRM when I am travelling.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you are in an agency, you should definitely look at SharpSpring as an option. It is Marketing Automation designed for agencies, to learn and work the system well for their benefit.

SharpSpring is user-friendly, but there's a lot of work involved in setting up a marketing automation program that produces results. Ongoing efforts are needed to maintain and update your campaigns, add new ones, and produce regular reports. Make sure you have the personnel in place to nurture the program, while it nurtures your clients.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As an agency, we are benefiting from streamlining the number of systems we use, saving time for our marketing department. We have been able to replace 4 separate systems with SharpSpring and also know we are GDPR compliant with our client's data.

We also use the system for adding value to the marketing services we offer, by offering the system as a product for our clients to use.

"Ad agency business development choice"

What do you like best?

In my many years of ad agency business development I've used almost every marketing automation tool, Salesforce, Hubspot, Marketo, Excel, you name it. When I discovered SharpSpring I knew this product had been designed for me. It has everything I need, and nothing I don't. The workflows match my behavior and the tools are smart and intuitive. It is easy to set up, simple to use and all my clients love it.

What do you dislike?

I didn't discover SharpSpring soon enough. What I wouldn't do to get back all the wasted time I spent trying to get the other top name systems to do what I wanted.

Recommendations to others considering the product

SharpSpring combines all of the things I want without complicating my processes with the stuff I don’t need. And it connects and complements the right activities together in one platform that seamlessly fits into my business development approach. SharpSpring, like any of the popular systems, isn’t a replacement for smart business development. It’s a tool to make you smarter and more successful. It represents the best of Salesforce, Hubspot, Leadlander, Campaign Monitor, Google analytics, Social platofrms, Post-it Notes and everything else, with a simple, easy to use interface that I call marketing magic. For less than a car payment it has cleaned up my desk, made me better organized and put me in the driver’s seat of new business.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I use SharpSpring as the core engine of in and outbound prospecting. It saves me time while allowing me to reach, engage and convert bigger audiences than I thought possible. It shows me in simple, easy to read analytics what is working and what isn't and makes it easy to share my results with clients and colleagues. It is a complete system so I can see all the activities and attribute results across all my content.

"It has everything we need for Marketing Automation"

What do you like best?

It has everything we need. The software has an intuitive interface, with the Sales and Marketing split into two areas. The automation visual workflow tool is excellent for creating perfect automation, there are plenty options to use as triggers. The links between the CRM and the campaigns are excellent.

What do you dislike?

The testing of emailers uses Litmus (for extensive tests). You do get some tests for free, but it would be good if the extensive tests were included in the platform costs. The mobile app is a little clunky and needs improving. The landing page builder has some nice pre-designed blocks, but had some editing issues which I had to ask support to fix.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Providing marketing automation to our clients who are using the inbound methodology.

"An Agency Perspective on SharpSpring"

What do you like best?

As a marketing agency owner, SharpSpring has become a true partner. I have used other marketing platforms in the past and SharpSpring is comparable to just about everything. Their ever-expanding feature set is right in line with the needs I need to run my agency. Before I can request a new feature, it is already on the roadmap.

Second, as an agency partner, the price point has allowed my business to add sources of revenue that I did not have in the past. I can now offer a marketing platform as part of my product offering without drastically increasing my pricing.

What do you dislike?

The time it takes to fully onboard as a client is a little long. An onboarding guide would help move the process along faster.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you are an agency owner, you need to jump on the phone and go through the demo. The features that SharpSpring and pricing model will blow you away. We have closed retainers because we could offer a powerful marketing automation system as part of our cost. We could not do that with other software applications.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using SharpSporing for two things. The first is automating our lead generation. The ability to automate our marketing has helped us do more in less time. Second, we are using SharpSpring to land more clients. We are able to offer new prospects a full-featured marketing platform for a fraction of the cost of other marketing solutions.

SharpSpring has become part of our product offering and will continue to be the go-to software platform for my marketing agency.

"Great all around tool"

What do you like best?

My favorite part is that everything is located in one place. In the past, sales and operations were using separate tools to track their successes. Now, we solely use SharpSpring so we can remain on the same page and execute much more efficiently.

What do you dislike?

The double edge sword here is the depth of the platform. With much functionality comes much education.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Don't be discouraged if you very specific feature isn't on the platform. Simply reach out and suggest it. Customer service on this front is great.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Obviously the biggest is marketing automation. Making sure we are both consuming as much data as possible and deliberating appropriate touch-points when applicable.

Trackability. Being able to track a lead through our website has resulted in much more efficient sales tactics.

"SharpSpring is on Point"

What do you like best?

It is a highly effective combination product that handles all production aspects of a growing marketing agency and its clients.

What do you dislike?

There's a bit of a learning curve to the software, however their amazing support team will be with you every step of the way at the beginning of your SharpSpring journey.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Take the 30 day free trial and explore the space. Every feature is only a few clicks away, so it's easy to explore what all is available, and the user interface makes it pretty easy to put together solid marketing automation flows in just a few minutes.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to better manage automated prospecting and marketing, all while providing better customer service to the clients we've landed.

"Good value for the price"

What do you like best?

Their email workflow set up and logic is really great. To get a similar functionality elsewhere you'd have to pay a lot more than they are charging, so the value is good. They also help provide a really easy life of the lead feature that we find very helpful. The integration with the forms and site traffic based on campaigns is also very helpful.

What do you dislike?

Their email builder has always been tricky to deal with. It's not impossible, but if you know what you want and their builder doesn't allow for it, it can be really tricky to get around.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

They help a great deal with both B2B and B2C clients because we are able to show the exact path the client/customer took to convert.

"Bridge the gap between marketing and sales"

What do you like best?

I love how SharpSpring, with just a simple line of code, creates a symbiotic relationship between my sales team and my website. It takes site analytics to a level that gives me data that works for my business.

As a content marketer, I began using SharpSpring for my own business, as well as for several of my clients, because it helps connect the dots in the marketing and sales process. No where else will you find a greater value in a marketing automation platform. If you are going to invest in content creation, and outbound marketing campaigns (be it outbound sales efforts and/or digital advertising) you've got to have an automation machine behind you to increase the return on that investment. SharpSpring is designed to do just that.

What do you dislike?

It takes time to learn--no doubt. I would also like to see some improvements on the mobile app and to have better integration with ThriveThemes--which is the conversion-centric platform I use for my websites and those of my clients.

Recommendations to others considering the product

With power that rivals Hubspot and others but at 1/10th the cost--SharpSpring is a no-brainer.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use SharpSpring to keep prospects from falling between the cracks. That is perhaps one of the most crucial elements of any MA/CRM platform. SharpSpring packs power in BOTH.

"SharpSpring is Sharp!"

What do you like best?

Their customer service has been outstanding. Each time I have called with questions, they have been so patient and excited to help me. Usually phone calls to any type of company are frustrating, long and a grueling process. I look forward to calling for help. The classes they offer are set for certain times which I could not attend, but I was told to request a recording so now I'm able to do them on my own time. I really appreciate the help, especially since it can be overwhelming to start brand new with this program. The support from their team exceeded my expectations completely.

What do you dislike?

Can be overwhelming to learn, but they offer classes to help with that! Wish that they had more quick videos to help with certain tasks within the program, but the classes really do start for beginners and explain everything starting with the basics.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Take your time when learning the system. Although you can call and have them help with what you're trying to do specifically, you're better off knowing everything so it makes sense later on.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's a great way to manage your contacts and send emails in different lists, as well as see the progress of each email sent. Their analytics tabs and email reporting has been very helpful. While I still have a lot to learn, I'm sure I will find many more benefits from the program.

"A great platform for any user with some level of tech savvy "

What do you like best?

The API is solid, meaning integrating with other platforms is a snap with the help of your dev team. The UI is good and pretty intuitive. A lot of work has gone into the help docs and knowledgebase and you can pretty much learn the platform inside and out that way. This reduces the need for expensive training offered my most competitors. If you do need support, they're responsive and helpful as expected.

What do you dislike?

While the API is great to connect other apps, that's pretty much your only option. Sharpspring does not offer many out of the box connections with other apps. If you don't have dev resources and need something more like an app market for connectors, this might be a problem for you.

Recommendations to others considering the product

We've been using SharpSpring for a couple years. They are truly focused on a roadmap that consistently provides value. We've seen several of our feature requests get implemented over time and that's a great indication of the willingness to work with their clients. The company has solid leadership and is not focused on "being a hubspot alternative". SharpSpring has differentiated themselves and found a true place in the market.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use sharpspring as a customer ourselves as well as an agency, managing client accounts. By far this is the best platform setup for this. Being able to jump around to various accounts with the same login is a great feature. Another excellent feature is the crm. Once you get used to it, it's surprisingly strong and the need for something like Salesforce is negated.

"Deep, complex automation"

What do you like best?

On the surface it's a copy of Mailchimp with some automation, but it's really a deep automation tool built for enterprise level marketing. It takes quite a learning curve to learn how to use it's extensive powerful tools, but once you do it lacks absolutely nothing feature wise. Send times are fantastic, delivery rates are great and it never fails to send an automated email that is suppose to go out.

What do you dislike?

The learning curve is steep. There is a gigantic stack of features, and abilities, but it's built more like a sandbox where you need to piece it together yourself instead of be guided through it. It requires quite a bit of testing (or more to guess and check) to get the automation working as it should.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Deep tool as long as you utilize the extensive knowledge base and YouTube tutorials to get a head start using it. Don't get discouraged when it looks like it can't do a certain thing, because it really is a box of legos that just needs to be built in the right way and will adapt to almost any marketing automation needs.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Marketing automation for clients who can collect data and leads through their locations, and be reminded, re-marketed, and organized for optimal customer retention.

"Great Software for businesses of all sizes and industries"

What do you like best?

The software allows me to manage marketing automation for several small businesses. My clients need features such as CRM, email marketing, Landing pages and social management. This platform provides everything they need.

What do you dislike?

The certification process needs to be updated

Recommendations to others considering the product

Get a demo and ask lots of questions. They will show you how to use the system the way you need it for your business.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Most platforms have one or two features a small-medium size company needs to function but this system provides them with everything they need to drive sales, convert leads and track marketing efforts. They have integrated with tons of applications that allow Sharpspring to adapt to a companies way of conducting business.

"Marketing Automation Is A Must!"

What do you like best?

SharpSpring is very dynamic and has been able to do anything we have needed for any of our clients. It is also very user friendly and intuitive. It did not take very long for our staff to be able to use it competently.

I think what we have been most impressed with is the support and the response to our needs to use SharpSpring better.

What do you dislike?

Some of the manual data entry of contacts is a little clunky.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Price was a factor in why we choose SharpSpring but the biggest factor was that we believed we could trust they would become a partner and support us long term, better than other MA companies. We feel like we made the right decision and SharpSpring has lived up to our expectations.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to bring all of our data and analytics together and show clients a true ROI on marketing dollars spent. Our agency has been able to gain a substantial competitive advantage over agencies that don't use marketing automation. Our ability to generate leads for clients and show the ROI on those leads is helping us win and keep clients.

"Bumpy Start, Great Overall"

What do you like best?

The breadth of the platform. It has all the features you want, need, and didn't even know it had.

Where it lacks in polish, it makes up for in power - no question.

While some might not like how customizable the ENTIRE platform is, it gives you the tools you need to do what you want. If you're expecting to hop in, map some fields, and get automating - you might be a little disappointed. If you're looking to build your dream digital strategy and not be limited by pre-defined fields and automation flows, this is your tool.

If you don't have a team with an Art Director that is comfortable with some HTML, you will likely need a consultant (if you're very particular about email and page design).

What do you dislike?

It's a little clunky and, if I were to nitpick, I could write several pages of change requests for the interface. You enter the platform blind, as nothing is pre-configured - which is a blessing and a curse. While you are not held back by limited automation flows, custom fields, etc, the number of options can be crippling. Also, the WYSIWYG tools are just that and you're going to have to play with them for a while. If you're capable of ripping out some of their code and starting fresh, it'll do what you need.

Also worth noting - in my detailed feature review, most features were knocked a point or two for the interface. It really does have everything you'll probably ever need and it'll help in saving time. While it might not be the best or most polished - it is 100% worth it for the price, especially compared to nearly every other end-to-end service such as this.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you're a massive enterprise, it probably isn't the right solution. If you're a small/medium sized business or a startup that needs to stay in communication with many customers and prospects and would like to be able to edit just about everything they'll see from web to email, this is for you.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Marketing automation - drip campaigns, newsletters, dynamic content, lead scoring, everything you'd expect. It's taken some time to get everything up and running (we have a small team), but it's pretty exciting to see it start paying off. I cannot say we have truly benefited yet, but we see the potential and are starting to see the payoff.

"SharpSpring is the best value when it comes to full-featured CRM and marketing automation platform."

What do you like best?

I love the fact that, with SharpSpring, you get an incredible platform at an incredible price. When you compare it to Marketo, HubSpot, and other similar platforms, it's a no-brainer. SharpSpring is easy and intuitive and gives my business, and my clients' businesses all the tools they need for success.

What do you dislike?

Not much to dislike. The social media engine could be a bit stronger, but that's about it.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Try it out. Talk to people at the company. Talk to others who are using it. If you're looking for full-featured CRM and marketing automation platform, you need to check out SharpSpring.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As a CRM, it had many great features. I particularly like the "Life the Lead" timeline, "Smart Mail" feature and the Visual Workflows. SharpSpring is easy and non-intimidating to teach clients. And it's easy to use for inbound marketing activities like landing pages, thank you pages and blogs.

"Ace!! Cost effective, Easy to use and most importantly proves value"

What do you like best?

I love the simplicity of set up and UX. I have used many of these software platforms and let me tell you that you will not get better for functionality and ease of use. Do not let that fool you into thinking it is too basic. It is well designed and gives you a full overview of all marketing and sales metrics,

What do you dislike?

Honestly, there is not any. I would be lying if I said there was.

The only thing and this is if i was nitpicking would be an improvement to the mobile offering which i believe they are working on

Recommendations to others considering the product

Have it as your top two and compare it as I did. You will not find a better thought out and complete service with a model that works.

Functionality is brilliant!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am an agency and therefore work with multiple clients which requires me to have a full overview of everything at the click of my fingers. Due to to set up and ease of use i can do that and be well informed quickly

It comes with the following

CRM

Marketing automation

Full overview of sales and marketing

Social integration and publishing

Excellent reporting

Collaborative working

Landing page and form creator

customer journey tracking

Lead scoring

And a lot more..........

"Useful tools for someone new to marketing"

What do you like best?

I have found the product very useful and the tools & training provided are amazing. The support is above and beyond my expectations. I am just starting out in a new position for marketing but I am not new to sales or using a CRM and this provided me exactly what I need for maintaining and converting leads for myself and our customers. The integration into various API's, Google ads & Zapier make this a must have .

What do you dislike?

I have only come across a few quirks regarding naming conventions which are easily resolved after getting in touch with support. Very little to dislike thus far!

Recommendations to others considering the product

This is a great tool for someone new to marketing as well as someone who has used a CRM before as well. It has the best of both world for us.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The integrations into various platforms we use and the newsletter creations & email campaigns we use have provided our customers with the ability to generate additional sales as well as for our own internal sales team.

"Cost-Effective, Elegant Marketing Automation"

What do you like best?

All-In-One Nature of the Product. Combines Visitor ID, Email Marketing, PPC Campaigns, Landing Pages, (custom, built-in) CRM, and more in a fairly easy to navigate dashboard.

A robust, yet flexible program, highly customizable to meet clients' needs.

What do you dislike?

Fairly steep learning curve made easy with a professional onboarding specialist. Be warned, you must set aside a minimum of 4 or 5 hours per week or more for every team member to really make it pay from day one.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Goal setting can be highly-defined. Progress toward goals is easily measurable. Identification of stellar prospects and entire markets of prospects became self-evident. Built-in, customizable CRM a huge solution for clients who did not have one of their own.

"Best Alternative to Hubspot "

What do you like best?

I love the ability to assign negative points in lead scoring so I can take leads back from sales and return them to the funnel for nurturing. I also love that the CRM allows for multiple pipelines and provides a user friendly way of tending to the funnel.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the updates catch you by surprise, but the support is really good so it's usually a non-issue.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Spend the time to build out personas and your lead scoring algorithm. The multiple pipeline feature is great for clients with multiple locations.

"Best for small businesses under 100emp"

What do you like best?

They’re very responsive in customer service and are adding new features all the time

What do you dislike?

The analytics is geared towards making a marketer’s numbers look good and not actual performance. Their suppression methods and percentages (total opens divided by emails sent versus unique opens divided by emails sent — they do the former while the latter is a more accurate reading) reflect this. The email editor is also very buggy, and they include bot impressions in overall opens and clicks. Also the social media poster was sometimes not posting and didn’t reflect changes from the platforms fast enough to keep up

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We needed a solution that’s less expensive at the time. It was a good enough tool to get what we needed done (send emails, track campaigns, create lists) but we were frustrated with the limitations of the platform once we started to grow.

"Best Value Marketing Automation Platform for SMB's"

What do you like best?

If you're a marketing agency, SharpSpring can bring you the following benefits:

1. Deep interaction and understanding of your client at all levels of their organization

2. A long term monthly subscription based revenue stream

3. The ability to transform your clients marketing through measurable marketing activities

4. A UI that is enables you to create complex landing pages and bespoke email marketing campaigns

5. The price is about right for pitching to SMB's

6. The support team is knowledgeable and quick to respond to queries

What do you dislike?

I'd like the lead capture screens to be more drag and drop oriented and to have some more design features added.

Although Sharpspring provides Zapier for integration, it would be great to have more native integrations to reduce reliance on that integration technology.

On the plus side, Sharpspring frequently adds new features which mean things general evolve quite rapidly.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Great marketing automation software for SMB's looking to track engagement and nurture leads into clients.

Effective for B2B or B2C style businesses.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I use Sharpspring as a marketing automation platform for Small Medium Businesses (SMB's) to help them improve their digital marketing ROI.

The platform easily integrates with pretty much any website type and allows me to demonstrate the effectiveness of my digital marketing campaigns to my clients as it tracks visitors and engagement (in terms of clicks and subscriptions) to landing pages and the email campaigns I create.

As a digital marketer, It's the heart of my offering.

"Excellent marketing service"

What do you like best?

The email templates are easy to use, and their support team is extremely responsive. It also has a ton of functionality for tracking leads, reports and analytics, etc. The social media integration is very user-friendly as well.

What do you dislike?

You cannot forward an email from SharpSpring to a colleague for review, for example, as the email loses all of its' formatting and looks messy. You instead have to send a preview or send it to them from the site. Definitely frustrating to have that extra step. There is also some minor spacing issues that show up in emails so I have had to get support to assist.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Do extensive onboarding with everyone who needs to use it, especially in list setup.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Marketing automation and lead tracking. I didn't even realize all of the automated follow-up that could be scheduled with visual workflows. Makes my job easier!

"Great Value for an advanced product"

What do you like best?

The constant support from SharpSpring at the speed of their support team makes it really easy to reduce downtime if you are stuck on any part of the product!

The system really ties in the sales and marketing to work together and really help to define qualified leads for the sales team members. The email builder is so easy to use which reduces the stress and time it used to take to make previous email campaigns!

What do you dislike?

It does take a long time to work out the product and you have to be dedicated to make sure you retain all the information but your on boarding specialist really helps with this.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's great to tie in all your sales and marketing and make 2 teams of people into 1, It has improved our structure and given us time to think of new ideas and expand what we can do!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It has saved us a lot of time and now allows us to record and monitor our sales and marketing to really see what works and what doesn't. It also has allowed us to see the correlation between how many more website views we get when sending emails out - helping us to expand our knowledge of our database and what they want to see on our websites and the use of Visitor ID supports our tracking gives us live updates of our visitors to the sites.

"Very much a fan of SharpSpring- has truly drove value since day one"

What do you like best?

I love the personal customer care. They were with me and my team every step of the way. I also got what I wanted day one: one dashboard with accurate viewing of all our finance, sales and marketing efforts. Really connects the dots for us, and for our clients who also request this.

What do you dislike?

You have to be committed. It takes a solid 6 weeks to learn the tools, though time well invested. There's even ways to have dynamic content on your landing pages, track website visitors through the lead process, and persona-dynamic emails and webpages. So yeah- worth learning to stay current.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Definitely trial it. Also on their site, they have comparisons between their software and others. That was really helpful when I was trying to decide the pros and cons- and what's right for my company.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I needed a dashboard to see across the departments-- from finance to marketing to sales. What really works; what's a waste of time. SharpSpring does this- and more. It also makes deploying instances for our clients affordable too. So over time, this investment can pay for itself.

"Best Value + AWESOME Support + WP Integration"

What do you like best?

Hands down they have the best onboarding process I've ever seen. Most companies sign you up and then give you some videos and access to support and toss you in. They have a scripted process they follow that includes unlimited access to an onboarding specialist for the first 60 days. But when I was onboarding clients quickly into the platform, he didn't hesitate to jump into the trenches with me and spend our sessions setting things up for those clients instead of following the script.

What do you dislike?

The landing page building kind of sucks, but I'm using Thrive Architect with WordPress for landing pages anyway, so I really didn't care.

Recommendations to others considering the product

My recommendation is to just talk to the team. Ask your questions, let them show you around the software, and get comfortable with them. The software is great and will do it's job, and the people behind it will show you how amazing they are.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We started as a HubSpot partner agency, but ran into the same problems that you'll see other reviewers throwing out there. The cost of the software is too pricey for most customers. The contracts are not appealing. And we basically had to cut our own profits to get them into the software.

SharpSpring is super affordable for even our smallest clients with their Mail+ Platform, and for clients with a little more budget we can use the full Automation Suite. There are no lengthy contracts. So we're able to easily just pop SharpSpring in as a line item on our contracts with the clients and we haven't had anyone turn it down yet.

"Helping Our Agency Grow Leads and Grow Overall"

What do you like best?

Can really get started quickly. From importing current contacts via CSV to sending those initial contacts an email, it's fast, simple and can bring some great results. Our agency began using SharpSpring in late 2016 after we compared other marketing automation platforms. The pricing structure was just what our growing digital agency needed...not to break our bank, but to allow us to mature and grow and provide awesome automation solutions to our client base.

I also like that the SharpSpring developers are continuously looking for ways to improve the platform. Adding new integrations, new partnerships with other vendors, improving UX, etc. It's all good stuff :)

What do you dislike?

Sometimes I think SharpSpring is the small fish in a pond of larger fish...but soon, they will fully mature.

Recommendations to others considering the product

You can't beat the startup costs and all the features that SharpSpring can provide you! I reviewed 5 other marketing automation platforms and after being basically "bullied" into signing a huge contract with one of the platforms I came across SharpSpring and their awesome interactive demo and down to earth sales team. That was the biggest reason I started with SharpSpring and continue to be impressed every week!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our agency doesn't have a sales team, we're just made up of a handful of partners currently, and we're able to nurture new clients and grow our leads into customers all by utilizing workflows and email campaigns. Couldn't grow without SharpSpring.

"Complicated, Weak Design and Poor Support"

What do you like best?

If I had to choose one thing I liked about this software, it's the anticipation that it would help grow our business. That too was a letdown.

What do you dislike?

There are a lot of problems with this CRM. Let's start with the Chrome extension. It's lightweight in features and really serves little purpose. We use Full Contact instead. Then we have their Android app. It's a joke and a complete waste of time like the rest of this software. Sharpspring itself is also clumsy, heavy and requires a $600 / year subscription with Piesync to work with our Google contacts. We used a fraction of the features in SharpSpring because it's easier to manage contacts on the fly within Gmail using simple apps like Full Contact and Gmelius.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Definitely not the solution for small business.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As an agency, we were excited to introduce this to our clients after the sales presentation. I immediately grew suspicious when I never heard back (not even a thank you) from the sales rep after dumping $1800 into this product for the setup fee. The onboarding experience was incomplete, leaving us unconfident about this product. I later found out that the onboarding support rep left the company. We tried to bring on two clients to use this software and that failed. They were uncomfortable with the software and canceled. When we realized that SharpSpring wasn't for us, we couldn't even cancel the service without issues! We emailed to cancel and they are trying to squeeze another $1200 out of us due to a "policy is policy" attitude about their 30-day cancelation notice, regardless of the poor experience we had with the product, our clients using the product and support. We weren't even using the product at this point and it didn't matter. They were more concerned about billing us for another $1200! Stay away from these guys, their poor customer service and product.
