I love how easy it is  to filter and review the data about all of your clients.

There is a lot of potential data to review, so it can take a while to learn where everything is.

ScalePad makes it easy to review the age of our client machines, as well as confirming they are in warranty.

**What do you like best about ScalePad Lifecycle Manager?**

The ability to login, click hardware and determine a list of products for either server or workstations that can outline how users are losing time with under performing workstations.

**What do you dislike about ScalePad Lifecycle Manager?**

This is more of a dislike of processes, but I tend to go to a manufactures website to check a warranty status, this can be confusing if the warranty has been renewed through ScalePad, which does not show up on the manufactures website.

**What problems is ScalePad Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScalePad is solving the complexity of warranty checking with manufactures that I would rather spend way to much time doing.  I like that after importing or sync'ing devices, it automatically shows me the purchase date and expiration of warranty.

**What do you like best about ScalePad Lifecycle Manager?**

We like the ability to pull asset reports with the dates on them so that customers can see how old their devices are and allows them to plan for upgrades, replacements, etc.

**What do you dislike about ScalePad Lifecycle Manager?**

One dislike would be the inability to get a report that shows how much RAM, SSD, etc. is in each device.  We use this to upgrade our customers process; it is a manual process to pull that information.

**What problems is ScalePad Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScalePad is allowing us to renew server warranties very quickly! I send the proposal from ScalePad to my customer and then go back to ScalePad to purchase. It is essentially all in one spot!

**What do you like best about ScalePad Lifecycle Manager?**

Having a central portal to manage all client's hardware life cycles and warranty renewals simplifies the process. The renewal process is fast, efficient, and quick, often taking just minutes for the warranty entitlement card to be issued for the hardware. I like the integration with our RMM application to auto sync hardware assets that we manage into their portal.

**What do you dislike about ScalePad Lifecycle Manager?**

I wished they also included printers, we spend a lot of time with multiple touches over several days if not weeks in renewing printer warranties for clients with traditional vendors.

Fast efficient management and use of time in providing this value-based service to our clients.

Technology Roadmap tools have provided a significant benefit when working with clients and keeping them on track with their technology management.

There are some additional features that I would still like to see in the roadmap and scorecard applications.

RMM integration means that you have more info at your fingertips than just a serial number lookup.

Some of the lifecycle management tools are less than intuitive to find/use.

Managing the lifecycle is somewhat easier with this tool and warranty management is much easier.

Scalepad offers so many tools built in it's amazing. Not only do we utilize the warranty information for computers, we also get notifications about network equipment and backup devices.

ScalePad will display an alert icon if an integration is in error, would like to get notified via my RMM also it sometimes isn't clear exactly what is wrong with the integration or how to fix

**What problems is ScalePad Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Warranty information, QBR prep and information, the ability to quickly get information via Automate plugin or the Connectwise Manage configurations. Saves so much time gathering info

I like that we are able to see all the information about clients, hardware and software in one easy location.

Some of the icons that are indicating things are out of date or need updating are off par with where they should be for labeling it as out of date and you cannot change these settings.

Enabling our vCIO to provide easy data to our clients. We are able to pull reports with all the data needed in a readable format that makes sense to our non-technical clients.

**What do you like best about ScalePad Lifecycle Manager?**

As a Managed Service Provider, we use ScalePad to monitor our customer's environments and backups daily. ScalePad also gives our team more automation and reduces the manual workload.

ScalePad also gives us the ability to future plan with our customers whilst keeping an eye on their entire business.

**What do you dislike about ScalePad Lifecycle Manager?**

I would say there is nothing i have found to be troublesome since using Scalepad, our whole company uses it daily, and I have not heard any complaints since we signed our contract.

**What problems is ScalePad Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With ScalePads Lifecycle Manager, we are able to easily demonstrate to our customers when they should be replacing hardware or renewing a warranty. We are able to purchase warranties for our customers helping protect their assets.

As an account manager I am also able to find out of date warranties, systems with unsupported Operating systems, and failed backups. This helps generate more business as we can purchase new warranties or Operating Systems.

ScalePad's interface makes keeping track of multiple clients' hardware a breeze. It's easy to see what needs attention, what is working fine, and what needs to be an opportunity for replacement.

**What do you dislike about ScalePad Lifecycle Manager?**

The single thing I dislike about ScalePad is that they use a single default card for payments. I would like to be able to use other payment forms for client warranties than we do for monthly recurring subscription charges.

**What problems is ScalePad Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without ScalePad it would take days of back-and-forth with vendors to update warranties. Checking if the hardware was in use, checking that we had the right serial numbers, and ultimately purchasing the renewals. With ScalePad it takes minutes and one webpage to do the same job.

ScalePad allows us to renew warranties on equipment in a timely fashion.  Not only does it help us protect our customers equipment but it saves them money.

Some of the integrations to other products are a little flaky but other than that it works great.

Knowing when our clients equipment needs to be replaced or warranty renewed is the benefit we see most from ScalePad

We like how simple it is to generate a report and how good it looks.

Pricing model could use some work. A ton of the reporting relies on the integrity of our data which is not always in great shape. We are billed for end-points that we simply cannot utilize this on.

Asset management element has enabled us to provide customer reviews at a higher level than our competition, we have grown significantly faster and with 5 stars as a result.

**What do you dislike about ScalePad Lifecycle Manager?**

Genuinely the only thing I think is missing longer term would be perhaps more 'zapier' type connections, APIs are important to enable flexibility when choosing software to operate our business.

**What problems is ScalePad Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have resolved multiple internal management processes, improved customer satisfaction, improved customer hardware adoption and increased efficiencies are almost 100% of our customer base

As a technical account manager, the addition of scorecards and initiatives is exactly what I needed for my clients.  Unlike a traditional sales tool, the integration into our PSA allows me to provide comprehensive reporting with REAL data.  I also like the "custom category" feature so that we can add outlying systems. The initiatives will provide our clients with a forward thinking goal and budget.  Nicely done Scalepad!

Be sure to check your integrations to make sure the data will sync up properly.  Also, request a demo before committing.

Providing extended warranties on legacy hardware that can not be easily replaced.  Also, provide clients reports in a clean and precise format.

Great for managing hardware inventory and reporting
It makes it easier to at a glance see what needs replacing and what devices are out of management, etc., with Windows update reporting.

Intergration with RMMs makes importing devices simple.

Can't think of many downsides just add more values that can be reported on if possible. The more data the better!

ScalePad is able to perform warranty lookups automatically, and drop the data into our line of business platform. Our clients have come to depend on these dates being accurate, and thus so have we.

**What do you dislike about ScalePad Lifecycle Manager?**

There aren't any downsides that I'm able to discern. If I was forced to pick something, I suppose it would be nice if the warranty program could send replacement devices to our office rather than us having to trust an unknown company to deploy the replacement device to our client's networks. I'm sure if we asked for this, we could make it happen though!

**What problems is ScalePad Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScalePad allows us to automatically query device warranty expiration dates, and then automatically pass that information into our line of business application. The application will create new tickets when devices are close to expiring. This ensures no money is left on the table, and also prevents clients from running old, unsupported technology that is prone to breaking.

The service is very easy to integrate with our document and RMM solutions to provide invaluable information at the tips of our fingers.

The actual interface, which we don't use that often, is a bit sluggish, but otherwise, I like all of the aspects.

Its a tremendous time saver doing QBR's as it creates easy to understand, customizable reports for our clients.

More hardware vendors would be useful for integration.

The price is a bit expensive especially since it is not possible to pay monthly, forced to pay annually.
The warranty extension is not done through the manufacturer's service, for example if it is a warranty extension taken at Scalepad for a Dell server, the intervention will be done by a third party provider who will have no link with Dell.

We've been using Scalepad since they originally launched as Warranty Master.  We have watched the company go from silent backoffice app that simply kept our Warranties for our Windows devices up to snuff in our PSA to the core of our Asset Lifecycle Mgmt toolset.  We are enjoying the deepening list of integrations including Cisco/Meraki as this simplifies our management process significantly from the one provided by the vendor.

**What do you dislike about ScalePad Lifecycle Manager?**

Data Management and Cleanliness will be a challenge for any firm if you don't plan carefully.  Given how long we've been using the tool we have numerous duplicate entries after having enabled unnecessary integrations.  This is more our issue to own - but don't turn on every integration just because it's there - take some time to plan out your data flow.  If anything constructive could be said here it would be better guidance around best practice for initial set-up.

There aren't many options this robust in the channel - you'd do well to dive in!

ScalePad provides a single pane of glass view for all device data on a customer from multiple sources. It is a data consolidation point that gives great depth of view into the customer's environment, with reporting that far exceeds the speed and detail available in any one of the systems from which it is pulling data via the integrations. Being able to view your customer environments from a hardware and software perspective to ensure compliance and reduction of risk can only lead to happier customers who are far more profitable for the MSP. With the latest addition of the Digital Maturity Index, it is even possible to have an automated comparison of each customer against industry statistics.

**What do you dislike about ScalePad Lifecycle Manager?**

Some of the reporting does not have export available, and there is the occasional search function missing; this is purely a product maturity issue and the resolutions are in their roadmap, so it's acceptable as we know a fix is on the way.

**Recommendations to others considering ScalePad Lifecycle Manager:**

Definitely give it a try, but when doing integrations, make sure that you only integrate with sources of live data as if you include anything that has old hardware for example, then the reports out of ScalePad are not going to be as accurate and can cause more questions than answers with your customers. Data accuracy is important!

Visibility and standardization of customer environments, leading to reduced risk, greater revenue through warranties and system replacements, and happier customers as communication is more meaningful.
