"The best process digitization tool"
What do you like best about ProcessMaker?

the best low-code and user-friendly development environment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?

the configuration of reports is somewhat complex Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jose Maldonado of ProcessMaker

Hello Liam, thank you for your generous comment. We agree in recognizing the challenges presented by our current strategy for generating and configuring reports. You will be pleased to know that for this reason we have partnered with the AWS QuickSight service to offer reports with a world-class interface, to receive configurable dashboards with more ease and extensibility than we offer in previous versions.

"Simple, Exciting and Easy to Use (now with an even better look and feel)"
What do you like best about ProcessMaker?

ProcesMaker is simple to use, convenient as it saves time when creating new processes, does not require low-level coding, and is intuitive to use. Little to no learning curve makes it easy for business users to learn how to digitalise processes as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?

The product itself has improved vastly over time and now offers alternative ways to get things done (especially those things which in the older versions were either overly complicated or simply could not be done). Having said that, some newer functionalities offered are very restrictive, for example, the Mobile App can only work if the ProcessMaker server is internet-facing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jose Maldonado of ProcessMaker

Thanks for the feedback Sumeet. Currently our best of breed mobile features require online access, correct. We will continue to revise offline capabilities, but in the meantime if its helpful you can design offline approvals via Actions by Email which rely on SMTP syncing, which keeps your approval in an outbox until your server syncs. Hope this is helpful!

"Low-code workflow automation platform"
What do you like best about ProcessMaker?

Extremely impressive is the low-code process automation platform. It eliminates the need for a lot of coding by enabling simple drag-and-drop process creation. We can be more digitally agile because testing scripts and previewing forms is simple and time-efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?

The user interface can be difficult for non-technical people to operate, and the documentation web pages occasionally lag behind the most recent updates. Every time a new update is released, ProcessMaker goes offline. ProcessMaker hasnt been very helpful in terms of alerting us when new versions are released, and these releases frequently have a number of bugs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jose Maldonado of ProcessMaker

Thanks for the candid feedback Mark. We are working hard to provide smoother, well documented upgrades.

"Powerful after your investment"
What do you like best about ProcessMaker?

It's a long list! The ability to push and pull from our SIS, submit completed workflows to our imaging product, consume approval hierarchies, and create unique notifications and messaging are all significant gains for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?

It isn't as "low-code" as I had hoped for. That said, given that nearly every field for our converted forms/processes has to ping an API, it isn't unfounded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jose Maldonado of ProcessMaker

Thanks for the feedback Tom. You are right in pointing towards the challenge of reconciling true low-code capabilities with the rich integration scenarios that demand more IT and dev involvement. This is why we are working hard on features like pre-canned Templates and PM Blocks, to bundle and roll up these dev-friendly assets into components that are easily reused and configured by non technical folks as well.

"the best tool for digitizing business process flows"
What do you like best about ProcessMaker?

no-code tool that helps with the rapid digitization of processes, is used to provide support for administrative areas and to enable traceability and monitoring of approval flows within the company Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?

The documentation is mostly in English and requires a more robust reporting and KPI module, adapted to the versatility and large scope covered by the development and designer module. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jose Maldonado of ProcessMaker

Thank you for your comments. We will continue trying to better cover our documentation offering in Spanish and other languages.

"Terrific Functionality, takes time to configure"
What do you like best about ProcessMaker?

We are taking a jungle of current processes using different applications that require months of training and simplifying this through ProcessMaker. ProcessMaker allows us to trap exceptions, provide hints, trap for incorrect dates, etc. so that the "need to know' issues are captured in the software. The resulting application will reduce training time and allow new employees to come up to speed faster. Additionally, more customers will be able to self-service, increasing customer satisfaction and expanding our market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?

As with many powerful tools, ProcessMaker takes time to configure and test to ensure that the capture processes and exceptions work as desired. Testing has taken longer than expected. Currently, there is no separate development platform from testing, which has generated many false positives as our business testers and developers have walked over each other on occasion. If ProcessMaker allows for a separate development platform, creating a proper testing environment for users, this would significantly reduce the time to acceptance and, therefore, the time to launch.

Additionally, when incorporating DocuSign documents, ProcessMaker has to recreate the forms rather than use the PDF as other software applications do when integrating with DocuSign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Complicated tasks"
What do you like best about ProcessMaker?

ProcessMaker is a feature-rich, yet over-complicated software. You can automate and setup many tasks for business use, and my favorite feature is that you can sync with Windows Active Directory. Their support team is willing to help sort our problems, though most of the known issues are tracked in the Bug Report. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?

ProcessMaker seems to go down every time a new update is released. ProcessMaker support has not done a great job at notifying us of when a new version will release and often the new release includes many bugs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"simple and easy"
What do you like best about ProcessMaker?

easy desgin BPMN and simple configuration and many technical suport such as sending email, attachment files, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?

lots of buggs whenever a new upgrade releases Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jose Maldonado of ProcessMaker

Hi Nam, thanks for the feedback. You might appreciate to know that you can easily import CSV files directly into a Collection, and then use data from that Collection to feed your screen dropdowns and such.

"Powerful product, powerful integrations."
What do you like best about ProcessMaker?

I love how much I can do with Process Maker. We are going to revolutionize our processes with Process Maker. With integrations, we can become completely paperless. We can be more efficient and more accurate by having less human data processing and more automated data pulling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?

It is a big learning curve. Some APIs are not functioning as expected. Some pieces of documentation are lacking, and internal API coverage is one such. I think there need to be more examples in the documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jose Maldonado of ProcessMaker

Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate the challenge in understanding some of the API intricacies required in some use cases. That is why we are working hard on capabilities like pre-canned Templates, or PM Blocks, which roll up functionality around several integrations or sophisticated use cases into easily reusable components.

"A low-code environment better than most. But low-code isn’t no code!"
What do you like best about ProcessMaker?

Our experiences have been good, especially with the consultants we have interacted with.

The relatively standard/open source foundations are robust, and it's a solid low-code environment (far from no code in our experience, though). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?

It is less low-code than one might hope, and upgrades/migrations are far from painless.

While I'm not one to always pick shiny toys over proven ones, I wonder if node/nosql would be a better foundation these days.

Tech support is good but not always swift. Once an engagement has begun, the results are good - starting the engagement is more challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
