## ProcessMaker Reviews
  ### 1. Efficient workflow automation tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Izuchukwu M. | System Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2024

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

I like the simple interface ProcessMaker has that enables for easy creating, managing and using of workflows. ALmost anyone can learn to use the application in no time. ALso i have observed that out of the many apps out there, ProcessMaker is one of the few that can handle enterprise scale usage while still easy for the general use.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

I disliked the hidden bugs that can through workflows off and this are not process errors but something off with the app itself.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProcessMaker has solved the problem of inefficient manual workflows and process bottlenecks in our organization. By automating repetitive tasks and streamlining the approval processes, it has significantly improved operational efficiency. One of the fun things i observed is that now, most departments now request for their own customized workflows that suits their daily usage. THis has made approvals and daily workflow easy to achieve.

**Official Response from Shirley Perez:**

> We're thrilled to hear that ProcessMaker has helped your organization automate workflows and improve operational efficiency. We understand the importance of reliable and bug-free software, and we are actively working to enhance the stability and performance of our application to provide a seamless experience for our users.

  ### 2. ProcessMaker is an excellent business process automation software.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2024

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

ProcessMaker is constantly being upgraded from time to time, incorporating artificial intelligence in it makes it easy for users with little or no coding skill to build business process automation.
With the write knowledge and skill in ProcessMaker, designers can customize and build complex business automation processes.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

Every feature I have seen in ProcessMaker is helpful depending on what one wants to achieve, some features may be used more often than others depending on what the user wants.
ProcessMaker platform is a bit expensive especially for small and medium sized organisation in Africa. There are businesses that would have loved to use ProcessMaker but cannot afford it.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProcessMaker makes our business processes easy. Users can raise requests from anywhere they are and receive approval to carry an action without stepping out of there homes. It helps us to keep proper records of events which users can reffer to at any time. It has blocked a lot of leakages that may give room for improper behaviour by some users. It has saved us a lot of money that would have been spent in printing materials because information are stored in soft copy and are properly documented for future reference.

**Official Response from Shirley Perez:**

> We're glad to hear that you find ProcessMaker's constant upgrades and incorporation of artificial intelligence helpful for users with little coding skills. Our goal is to make business process automation accessible to all users.

  ### 3. A GOOD PROCESS FLOW PLATFORM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** peter a. | Service Catalog, Asset and Configuration Analyst, Knowledge Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2025

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

ProcessMaker is flexible to use. The platform has capability to do a test run to be sure of the process you are building. You can run as many processes as you want to build and run.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

It is unable to integrate with Adobe Sign

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used ProcessMaker to build a document management system, to mange our organizations policy and process document. This has saved as some cost. ProcessMaker has also been used to automate a lot of our transactional report, saving tellers the time in generating some reports.

  ### 4. ProcessMaker wants you to succeed.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler S. | Assistant Director, Enterprise Applications, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2021

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

The customer support and ease of use makes this a great platform! The scripting capability makes the product almost limitless. They are consistently pushing out new features and bug fixes and are flexible on when things are updated. We are pushing more and more processes out that are used on a daily basis. After a couple of years, our campus is now very familiar with the name ProcessMaker and the general consensus is that ProcessMaker is a fantastic tool and allows us to easily and quickly stand up simple processes. Complex processes take a considerable amount of time, but not due to limitations from ProcessMaker. Their new Intelligent Document Processing add-on is a promising feature that I'm looking forward to using more.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

My only gripe with ProcessMaker right now is around branding. Nothing technical at all. I'd just like to be able to choose my Organization's colors for charts and graphs instead of the baked in "regular" colors.

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

The scripting ability of this platform can make it do just about anything that any other competitor can do. That part is a game-changer. This platform will also allow for us to empower our end users to create their own processes and then come to IT to get them hooked up to our ERP via scripting and API calls. This takes nearly half the work off of our plates!

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before ProcessMaker, we were a paper-heavy institution. We relied on paper forms transferred around campus (often as email attachment) to get things done that our ERP doesn't support out of the box. Now, we've transcribed those paper processes into ProcessMaker Requests. While most are still "manually" routed by choosing the approver on the form, it takes the guess work out of the process and provides transparency. Many processes we've been able to automatically route the request based on variables provided by the user.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Thanks for the great feedback -we're glad to hear you have creating value with ProcessMaker. You'll also be happy to hear we have enhanced our authentication support for better SCIM compatibility with Azure AD and other vendors.

  ### 5. Helps Create Efficiencies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie D. | Director Of Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

Having access to a developer is helpful, as well as the training provided when you want to do it yourself. It was also easy to integrate into our system.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

There are some basic tasks that you would expect the program to be able to do that it cannot.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's allowing us to eliminate manual work and allow us to focus on the important stuff that our customers care about.

**Official Response from Shirley Perez:**

> It's great to hear that ProcessMaker is helping you eliminate manual work and focus on what's important for your customers. We're committed to helping you create efficiencies in your processes.

  ### 6. Autmation of product warranty process

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2024

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

I am thoroughly impressed with the dedication and commitment of the Team. Their eagerness to deliver the best possible product for their customers is truly commendable. The team's "can do" approach and remarkable flexibility make working with them a pleasure. They consistently go above and beyond to meet and exceed expectations, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. The custom intergrations that Processmaker created with Husbpot and Bigcommerce, are stable and do the job.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

One area where I believe there is room for improvement is in the design of their forms and screens. Our experience would have been even better if they had a frontend developer who focuses on the design aspects of the brand, as well as the screens and forms delivered by ProcessMaker. Enhancing this aspect would significantly elevate the product delivery and time spend from our side on layout adjustments

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProcessMaker is automating our complete product registration and warranty claim process. We receive a large amount of warranty claims each year, which requires significant resources to manage. The implementation by ProcessMaker will relieve this pressure significantly, streamlining our operations and improving efficiency.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> We are delighted with your positive feedback towards our product and our team. I want to point out that we recognize the challenge with many of our screen design choices and we are working hard to offer much cleaner Form alternatives. I hope you will also be happy to know that with the recent introduction of Screen Templates, you can take the guesswork, tinkering and complexity from crafting great looking screens. Thank you,

The best part about PM is the UI and it's intuitive ness. It is very easy to learn and the possibilities are endless. It serves as a one stop shop for all things that were done on paper before. With additional information on track and dashboarding, PM is a must have for any organization going through a transformation!

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

PM still has some issues with speed. It would be helpful if it was fast in all browsers. A dedicated desktop app would be phenomenal.

It's reducing waste and making out processes efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2024

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

We like the ease of using it. Also we feel it gives lot of flexibility to user to own the configuration from console.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

UI can be certainly better. Also, more features should be added to admin console , especially from integration standpoint.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the workflow cost for us and saves the license of Ent apps like of SAP as we run work flow here and enter the filtered data in Ent Apps.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Thank you for your earnest feedback. We take it very seriously! I am glad to hear you feel you are getting value from ProcessMaker. You will hopefully appreciate our ongoing efforts to add additional integration options and admin capabilities to manage them, with features like out CDATA - powered External Integrations and wrappers like PM Blocks. And yes- we are continuously aiming to improve our UI so, thank you for the comments.

  ### 20. I design and build processes in ProcessMaker

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

The ability to drag and drop objects into the process with very little coding is great. You can test scripts and preview forms and screens from the development window.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

Documentation web pages do not always stay current with the latest releases of ProcessMaker. The documentation is well written and easy to navigate but can be a bit dated.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best case is changing from paper forms to digital forms. Forms that need review or multiple reviews are easy to build and use. Web entry means only having to share a link for users to get started. Forms can be rendered to PDF and saved.
Using APIs, data can be grabbed from our ERP and used in processing. Being able to get someone's supervisor to do approvals is a big part of the workflows I build.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Great feedback on keeping our documentation current, thank you. Hopefully you will be glad to know that our Summer release will include an in-app Chat Assistant that provides relevant, current documentation to whatever you ask for, without leaving the product. This will minimize back-and-forth between our product and its documentation and get you the latest resources as they become available.

  ### 21. The best process digitization tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liam R. | Energia , Renewables & Environment, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2024

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

the best low-code and user-friendly development environment

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

the configuration of reports is somewhat complex

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

digitization of manual processes, reduction of document use, and improvement of processes

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Hello Liam, thank you for your generous comment. We agree in recognizing the challenges presented by our current strategy for generating and configuring reports. You will be pleased to know that for this reason we have partnered with the AWS QuickSight service to offer reports with a world-class interface, to receive configurable dashboards with more ease and extensibility than we offer in previous versions.

  ### 22. Simple, Exciting and Easy to Use (now with an even better look and feel)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumeet C. | Manager Application Support and Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

ProcesMaker is simple to use, convenient as it saves time when creating new processes, does not require low-level coding, and is intuitive to use. Little to no learning curve makes it easy for business users to learn how to digitalise processes as well.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

The product itself has improved vastly over time and now offers alternative ways to get things done (especially those things which in the older versions were either overly complicated or simply could not be done). Having said that, some newer functionalities offered are very restrictive, for example, the Mobile App can only work if the ProcessMaker server is internet-facing.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business process automation, digitilisation of physcial forms, automation and digitalisation of approvals. Some benefits we have realised is the low cost and time savings associated.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Thanks for the feedback Sumeet. Currently our best of breed mobile features require online access, correct. We will continue to revise offline capabilities, but in the meantime if its helpful you can design offline approvals via Actions by Email which rely on SMTP syncing, which keeps your approval in an outbox until your server syncs. Hope this is helpful!

  ### 23. Low-code workflow automation platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

Extremely impressive is the low-code process automation platform. It eliminates the need for a lot of coding by enabling simple drag-and-drop process creation. We can be more digitally agile because testing scripts and previewing forms is simple and time-efficient.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

The user interface can be difficult for non-technical people to operate, and the documentation web pages occasionally lag behind the most recent updates. Every time a new update is released, ProcessMaker goes offline. ProcessMaker hasnt been very helpful in terms of alerting us when new versions are released, and these releases frequently have a number of bugs.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The switch from paper forms to digital forms has been surprisingly simple thanks to ProcessMaker. We may easily exchange URLs with users thanks to the web entry capability. we may render forms to PDF and preserve them, thus lowering the amount of paper used by our business. ProcessMaker has changed the way we do business.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Thanks for the candid feedback Mark. We are working hard to provide smoother, well documented upgrades.

  ### 24. Powerful after your investment

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

It's a long list! The ability to push and pull from our SIS, submit completed workflows to our imaging product, consume approval hierarchies, and create unique notifications and messaging are all significant gains for us.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

It isn't as "low-code" as I had hoped for. That said, given that nearly every field for our converted forms/processes has to ping an API, it isn't unfounded.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability for PM to speak to Banner and update records in real-time has been a game-changing moment for our faculty, staff and student experiences. We've saved significant time in processing, improved communications and real-time record updates.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Thanks for the feedback Tom. You are right in pointing towards the challenge of reconciling true low-code capabilities with the rich integration scenarios that demand more IT and dev involvement. This is why we are working hard on features like pre-canned Templates and PM Blocks, to bundle and roll up these dev-friendly assets into components that are easily reused and configured by non technical folks as well.

  ### 25. the best tool for digitizing business process flows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Process M. | especialista de desarrollo, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

no-code tool that helps with the rapid digitization of processes, is used to provide support for administrative areas and to enable traceability and monitoring of approval flows within the company

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

The documentation is mostly in English and requires a more robust reporting and KPI module, adapted to the versatility and large scope covered by the development and designer module.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it allows tracking of all digitized processes, export information, and send automatic notifications about each of the digitized tasks, while also reducing paper usage in the company

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Thank you for your comments. We will continue trying to better cover our documentation offering in Spanish and other languages.

  ### 26. Terrific Functionality, takes time to configure

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Virginia R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

We are taking a jungle of current processes using different applications that require months of training and simplifying this through ProcessMaker. ProcessMaker allows us to trap exceptions, provide hints, trap for incorrect dates, etc. so that the "need to know' issues are captured in the software. The resulting application will reduce training time and allow new employees to come up to speed faster. Additionally, more customers will be able to self-service, increasing customer satisfaction and expanding our market.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

As with many powerful tools, ProcessMaker takes time to configure and test to ensure that the capture processes and exceptions work as desired. Testing has taken longer than expected. Currently, there is no separate development platform from testing, which has generated many false positives as our business testers and developers have walked over each other on occasion. If ProcessMaker allows for a separate development platform, creating a proper testing environment for users, this would significantly reduce the time to acceptance and, therefore, the time to launch.

Additionally, when incorporating DocuSign documents, ProcessMaker has to recreate the forms rather than use the PDF as other software applications do when integrating with DocuSign.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The current process to onboard existing and new customer relationships involved many solutions that, over time, had been taped together. ProcessMaker allows us to streamline the process, increase self-service and capture more process exceptions.

  ### 27. Complicated tasks

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh S. | Network Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

ProcessMaker is a feature-rich, yet over-complicated software. You can automate and setup many tasks for business use, and my favorite feature is that you can sync with Windows Active Directory. Their support team is willing to help sort our problems, though most of the known issues are tracked in the Bug Report.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

ProcessMaker seems to go down every time a new update is released. ProcessMaker support has not done a great job at notifying us of when a new version will release and often the new release includes many bugs.

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

ProcessMaker will allow some heavy customization to meet the needs of your business flow systems. Any form of heavy customization in any software typically comes with a heavy learning curve and need to rely on support. This is very true of Process Maker, so be sure that the software will meet your needs and that you are comfortable either learning how to manage the software yourself or that you are willing to continue to utilize their support team.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We handle our Purchase Order management with ProcessMaker and have been able to organize all of our data. We also use ProcessMaker to manage of our Change of Status forms for hiring/firing/temp employees. It provides many custom options for the flow of that type of system.

  ### 28. simple and easy

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nam Seok. K. | IT General Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

easy desgin BPMN and simple configuration and many technical suport such as sending email, attachment files, etc.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

lots of buggs whenever a new upgrade releases

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To impelment all of our business approval process.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Hi Nam, thanks for the feedback. You might appreciate to know that you can easily import CSV files directly into a Collection, and then use data from that Collection to feed your screen dropdowns and such.

  ### 29. Powerful product, powerful integrations.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

I love how much I can do with Process Maker. We are going to revolutionize our processes with Process Maker. With integrations, we can become completely paperless. We can be more efficient and more accurate by having less human data processing and more automated data pulling.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

It is a big learning curve. Some APIs are not functioning as expected. Some pieces of documentation are lacking, and internal API coverage is one such. I think there need to be more examples in the documentation.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can digitize many of our paper form processes and make them more efficient and accurate. We are making sure information gets to the right person at the right time.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate the challenge in understanding some of the API intricacies required in some use cases. That is why we are working hard on capabilities like pre-canned Templates, or PM Blocks, which roll up functionality around several integrations or sophisticated use cases into easily reusable components.

  ### 30. A low-code environment better than most. But low-code isn’t no code!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

Our experiences have been good, especially with the consultants we have interacted with.

The relatively standard/open source foundations are robust, and it's a solid low-code environment (far from no code in our experience, though).

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

It is less low-code than one might hope, and upgrades/migrations are far from painless.

While I'm not one to always pick shiny toys over proven ones, I wonder if node/nosql would be a better foundation these days.

Tech support is good but not always swift. Once an engagement has begun, the results are good - starting the engagement is more challenging.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProcessMaker is good for standing up processes quickly and iterating on them. It enables rapid solutions for small teams without extensive dev skills.

That being said, if you do have the development skills, there are distinct tradeoffs to using ProcessMaker (as well as similar tools). I believe it is best if the "low code" part is taken seriously. If you're doing a ton of coding, it may not be the right platform for you in the first place.

  ### 31. PROCESSMAKER, the best BPMN Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olaide A. | Process Automation Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

I especially like the ease of creating variables and how neat the process map looks. Processmaker is easy to learn, use and navigate. The UI is good for end users and the architecture is especially good for developers

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

The flexibility to design the UI further isnt there

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving the problem of starting automation from scratch

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> We're glad to hear that you find ProcessMaker easy to learn and use, with a neat process map and good architecture for developers. We appreciate your feedback on the UI flexibility and will take it into consideration for future improvements - we are always trying to balance offering good looking out of the box options for users who just want something that works great from day one, as well as enabling power users to extend the design with further customization options. It's a balancing act we take seriously and will be influencing much of our upcoming releases. Thanks for the feedback!

  ### 32. ProcessMaker Helped Us Develop a Customer Portal from the GROUND UP - and they did it very fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian F. | IT Administration, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2022

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

Once contracted for our project, ProcessMaker was prompt in assembling a team to assist.
The team diligently sought to understand our unique needs for a new customer portal.
Weekly touchpoint meetings kept us all on the same page.
The team was very understanding and accommodating whenever minor changes were needed.
They got us testing access early on to ensure that functionality was as expected.
I appreciated the responsiveness, the revision turnarounds, and the speed of the overall project.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

While ProcessMaker was not exactly cheap... they weren't out of the norm for pricing either. Cost probably doesn't constitute a real 'Con'.
Some customers might be less inclined to use 'basecamp' as a centralized portal for communication and sharing documents, but our PM was kind to accept things by email and upload them himself when I was in a rush.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small community bank launching a new product.
The processor (another vendor) that provided us with this product did not have any resources for developing an online customer-facing experience around the product.
ProcessMaker filled that role for us.
Our customers will now have a top-tier online experience, with all customer data feeding into a ProcessMaker platform where our staff can access and process it with our other technologies.

  ### 33. ProcessMaker is a good product

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

I feel good about the ability to use development tools to work with it.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

Support. This has to be my biggest gripe towards the product and understanding of some of its working capailities.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

inadequate process maangement

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> We appreciate your positive feedback about the development tools. We understand your concerns about support and are actively working to enhance our support capabilities. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

  ### 34. Effective Process Flow Manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kayode Y. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

It is easy to use, automates processes, reduces time for processes, eliminates the use for paper, and allows approvals to be done from anywhere in the world

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

Managing users can be cumbersome, we usually get repeat requests from users

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Process maker helps with our workflow management. We usually have staff who need approval before performing their tasks. Process maker ensures that they are able to make approval requests while on the move and their managers are able to approve even if they ar enot physically in the office

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> We appreciate your feedback on the ease of use and time-saving benefits of ProcessMaker. We understand the challenges with managing users and repeat requests, and we are dedicated to improving our platform to better address these concerns. Thank you for choosing ProcessMaker for your workflow management needs.

  ### 35. Nice Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sathish M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

Ease of Work Flow and we can customise the settings

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

Issues with syncronzing the ldap and some inconsistency issues

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of Use

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Thanks for the feedback Sathish. We hope you will like to know that we include lots of improvements around LDAP and user syncing on our Summer Release, which should be available this September for your dev instances to try out.

  ### 36. Good for the basics

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Celeste M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

If you have basic processes that don't need too much programming, even non-programmers can develop a process

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

It mostly works with the basics. If you have a big company and your processes depend on many variables it turns complicated to develop a process.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a company with several branches filling a form was complicated and we would waste paper, using ProcessMaker has helped us to reduce the amount of paper used.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Thanks for the feedback. Over the past year we have doubled down on capabilities better suited to more complex scenarios and enterprise requirements, so I'm hopeful big companies will want to take a second look. Robust Ai asset generation, project organization and permissions, enhanced authentication options, process testing, are but a few features introduced in the last couple of months targeted specifically for enterprise use.

  ### 37. Fantastic!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

We have asked ProcessMaker for some very specific needs and they have delievered!

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

We haven't found one. We have really enjoyed launching this product with our organization.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are helping us solve a paper print out and then rescan back into email problem. We were very antiquated in our former system.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> We're thrilled to hear that we were able to meet your specific needs! Thank you for sharing your positive experience with us.

  ### 38. Low/no code APM with strong integration features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ernesto d. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2022

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

Easy integration with API or legacy web services, also allows for customizing of protocol particularities. This is useful when dealing with old connectors or custom-built API models. PM's support of a broad set of languages that can be used for scripting is also a plus when you have a mixed set of skills in your team. As a true SaaS in nature, you don't have to worry about the infrastructure underneath or the software maintenance lifecycle.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

Built-in web forms are not as easy to customize or enrich as you may want to. My UX/UI team usually has to develop data capture forms using their official design guideline that has no direct mapping into PM's own set of UI components and styles.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it for the automation of the Loan Origination process (commercial lending). This is a rather complex process involving the customer and several areas (internal users) and systems within the company. With PM and other digital providers we have managed to streamline the new version of the process targeting a 60-70% time reduction and lowering the manual intervention (data passing between multiple systems).

  ### 39. Will only use ProcessMaker

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandi G. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2022

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

I find the UI easy to navigate, and as a functional person can create, alter, and replicate workflows with few dependencies on my developers. The folks that work at ProcessMaker are top-notch - everyone in support, engineering, engagement, and even Brian himself, I could not ask for better partners in this automation journey.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

While the documentation is perfect for my developers/technical resources, for someone that is functional it can be hard to follow. Perhaps include screenshots of real examples (triggers, connectors, etc) so a working example of an end goal can be easily seen and mapped to.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in a world of paper and emails, which means a lot gets lost, which then delays work, payments go out late, fines are issued, etc. It also means a lot of people in my industry are spending a ton of time on manual efforts. we've been automating the most highly manual processes, and the feedback and time savings has been incredible.

  ### 40. Good

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

The versatility and how easy it is to develop apps

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

The price. You have changed the form you set the price and now we are thinking of change the product

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> We appreciate your feedback on the positive aspects of ProcessMaker and understand your concerns about the pricing. We have added a number of class leading features that we are seeing drive a fair value proposition. We would like to connect with you to discuss your specific needs and explore options to ensure your continued satisfaction with our product.

  ### 41. Process maker an ideal BPM tool for Fast paced Corporate World!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravi c. | Associate Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2022

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

5years back we shortlisted Process maker as our BPM tool and we have never regretted it ..Renewing the PM license this year too!
We were able to develop customized projects for Support Domains like HR, Travel desk, PMO, TMO, QA, Operations....for the monitoring & controlling of the process or from a project management perspective and the ease with which we could handle the change request or enhancement made PM a very useful tool for medium level Organization like ours...

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

User interface is not elegant as a regular web application available across, Knowledge Base of technical articles with sample PHP code for customization of available features & functions of PM

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

customized projects for Support Domains like HR, Travel desk, PMO, TMO, QA, Operations....for the monitoring & controlling of the process or from a project management perspective

  ### 42. ProcessMaker is the best workspace for workflow management and reporting

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- We are able to manage Maintenance and Production, with two different PW flow.
- We can manage a lot of user profiles.
- We can create day by day an efficiently reporting routine.

  ### 43. A solution for every thinkable process problem

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edgard E. | Audit Assistant Manager , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2019

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

It has the best and simplest interface i have ever seen on any similar software, there is a lot of things we have created and more we can create to get the work done in a much easier and faster way, thanks to his much modern and user friendly environment, fast communication, data reporting tools to make our workflow available for other reviewers, this was especially helpful since its based on common programming languages theres a number of opportunities to achieve web based operations as well as track a process to report other users their progress, to me like many other users in my company this has solved lots of old bottlenecks.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

So far so good, no deslikes yet, but we would like to be able to delete cases or restart the case counter, but this may be a solution we are yet to find since we are just getting started to use the software, also it would be nice to have more dashboard options.

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

Read the documentation there´s a lot of examples there, as well as a great community of users who help each other, its important to notice that the tech support is very efficient as well.

The tool is very open to code your own ideas but there are a vast number of issues solved on the P.M community so its a great place to solve the most common issues

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've translated an audit process from sheets of paper and phone calls, to a web based form with e-mail interactions wich has proven to be far more efficient.
Among the benefits we´ve encountered, the fast report of to-do cases vs. completed cases with just a few clicks, the easy to look documents from the user's responses and plus, we can notify anyone from the case opener to the management about our progress.

  ### 44. PM is the best application for flow approbation and flow description to internal process that I know

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** José Roberto V. | Database & Application Support Manager , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2019

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

well, PM help us in different department in our company. We working in a BPO and PM help in procurement department, NOC department and development department. The flow approbation is the most module that we use in the company and the configuration to this is easy for our developers

We have resolved the process of approvals of managers, managers, directors and presidency of the company with the creation of the flows, likewise we have achieved that the reports on incidents that the company suffers to map them and have them documented in case the failures turn to repeat.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

is difficult thinking about downsides for this product, but probably some downsides is the documentation about the product, the developers asking sometimes about this and is difficult see videos or tutorials in the web

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

If you are looking for a flow manager for all the departments of your company where bosses, managers, directors, presidents are involved and a digital signature is required, ProcessMaker is the solution !!

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PM resolved the problem about the approbation flow, we develop a flow to approbation C-level and our CIO is happy to this. The manager to procurement, IT and principals acknowledge the importan the Process Maker application

  ### 47. It is a friendly and easy to use tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sandra a. | MY EXPERIENCE IN PROCESSMARKER, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

I like ProcessMaker, since it improves the flow of information within a company, as well as the timing, because through a ProcessMaker creator it is possible to validate the different approvals of the purchase flows that a company has. I like the efficiency and effectiveness in which one sees and carries out the approvals in the shortest time possible, as well as the channeling and communication that one has when being in tune with what goes up and has to be approved within it.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

The time spent on a task, again, as well as the uploading of several files which becomes a bit slow in the upload process in ProcessMaker, as well as the time lost in that process to be able to upload the files.

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

Processmarker is a friendly tool for business flows, designed to minimize the time it takes for a company to authorize certain purchase orders, making the purchasing process within the company more efficient. It also streamlines the approval steps involved, allowing for quicker realization of purchases within the company.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What has been resolved in the company are the purchasing processes that have been regulated and the approvals, since we need several people to approve a purchase, and this is an efficient program to be able to do it.

  ### 48. Quick On-Boarding, Friendly Staff, and Simplicity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergio L. | Sales Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2021

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

Processmaker gives companies the opportunities to control their organization. The way to create processes is quick and easy. The actual user interface of the software is easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

While taking the training course, it is best to review the questions. The questions are sometimes tricky to follow, but after review, the task should be easy. Otherwise, it is smooth sailing thus far.

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

Processmaker should be your choice if you want an OA software that is quick, easy, and made complex. I suggest acquiring at-least one seat for the training course. Otherwise, work closely with your sales representative to get the best edition your company may need. Processmaker is really there to help your company out.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Processmaker makes Office Automation easier and more digital. You can be the one who routes what processes need to go where. It solves the problem of going through a middle man to make a minor edit of a process.

  ### 49. Amazing capabilities of ProcessMaker 4.x

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Helen A. | Process Automation Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

I have used ProcessMaker from version 2.x, the days of using XML, and HTML tags to design dynaforms, to version 3.0 where it got better, with the use of panels to write HTML, but I must say version 4 has raised the bar, beyond what I have been used to in previous years. The presence of different screen types to create beautiful forms, the availability of collections to save your data and retrieve them through APIs(REST) rather than the Soap services from before, and the ability to write scripts in over five languages.

I started using version 4 a few months back, and development is way easier and faster in this new version. I can build processes in a short time and can create processes beyond workflows. So far, I would pick version 4 over and over again, and I think most organizations should consider it because of its flexibility and its advantages.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

Well, from my experience, I believe the documentation can be better, for a first timer, you might find yourself spending some time figuring things out, especially when you want to replicate some of the functionalities you have done in previous versions, you might need to rethink the logic.
Also the need for a community or forum, developers can refer to from time to tim, as opposed to raising tickets.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have built solutions around digital process automation and workflows. It has been efficient for me as a developer and achieves my deliverables in good time.

  ### 50. Automation of AXA Mansard Business Processes With ProcessMaker

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | Head, IT Compliance, Audits and Service Quality, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

I really like the ease with which workflows are built with low code requirement. The ability to reroute approvals is also fascinating as processes are no longer dependent on certain individuals. Also, the release of new versions provides new features and functionalities for clients, making the application interface more user-friendly and useful.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

The inability of a user that isn't familiar with the application to navigate the features seamlessly. I do hope that more recent versions will possess a more friendly user interface that will allow for seamless navigation through the application.

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

I will advice they go for version 4 series as it has more features that can give them a more fantastic experience

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have automated over 40 critical manual business processes with Processmaker. We recently completed an upgrade to a more recent version of Processmaker. This new version provides more features and allows for the use of a mobile version of the application.
