Often needs to restart due to updates that seem to happen every other day. Camera sometimes doesn’t work and mute is sometimes On and sometimes off when joining and meeting. One time the mute was taken off even though I didn’t press the button. In my opinion, the most helpful feature is that it enables meetings to be held online, connecting people who work or study far away. Not much, I do not like Microsoft's minimalist Windows style. It's impossible to tell whether it's a box or just a container. Its a problem across their Office suite but Teams is particularly bad. Its hard to navigate the side panel as well or find files. It sucks that there are still industries that it is the "gold standard". Its too expensive as well Microsoft has more money than God. Everything, Zoom, and Discord are examples of much better products. Skype also sucks litterally spend all my time online in and out of work in Zoom or Discord. What I find most valuable is the channel-based, structured chat functionality for coordinating work across teams and vendors. As a PM juggling multiple projects at once, I can separate conversations by topic or by project into different channels, so the communication history doesn’t get mixed up and remains easy to trace later for documentation or follow-up. The tagging (@mention) feature is also very effective for ensuring the right PIC is notified directly, without having to message people one by one—especially during urgent issues that require a quick response from several parties at the same time. On top of that, having file sharing built directly into chats and channels makes it simple for the team to access working documents without constantly switching between apps.
