# Which cloud security monitoring tools give security teams better control and visibility over their cloud environment without drowning in dashboards?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">A quick one for G2 experts who spend real time in this category. I’m looking for cloud security monitoring tools that give security teams better control and visibility over their cloud environment without drowning in dashboards.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Asking because more dashboards don’t always mean more visibility. Past a point it's the reverse. I'm after the tools that pull it into one view you'd actually trust: assets, gaps, multicloud, in one place.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Across<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/cloud-security-monitoring-and-analytics"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/cloud-security-monitoring-and-analytics">Cloud Security Monitoring and Analytics</a>, Wiz, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security are the names that I keep seeing. Here's how I read each on visibility:</p><ul>

It maps everything into one view and shows how issues connect, so "what's exposed?" has a real answer. And agentless, so quick to cover.</li>

<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/sysdig-sysdig-secure/reviews"><strong>Sysdig Secure</strong></a><strong>: </strong>Deepest on live visibility, especially containers and Kubernetes. Strong multicloud and shows what's running, not just what's configured.</li>

<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/microsoft-defender-for-cloud/reviews"><strong>Microsoft Defender for Cloud</strong></a><strong>: </strong>Native single console. Shows asset inventory, secure score, connectors for AWS and GCP. It may be the easiest choice if you're Azure-first.</li>

&lt;p&gt;I&#39;d judge visibility based on how well a platform answers the questions security teams actually have. Can it build a complete asset inventory across accounts, subscriptions, clusters, identities, and services? Does it connect configuration, exposure, permissions, vulnerabilities, and runtime activity into a single picture instead of treating them as separate findings? Can you go from a high-level executive view to the affected resource without jumping through multiple modules? Does it provide ownership and remediation context instead of simply flagging issues? And can different teams tailor their views without creating separate silos or competing versions of the truth? The tools that do these things well tend to improve visibility, while those that rely on adding more dashboards often just create more complexity.&lt;/p&gt;
