What I like most about Microsoft Teams is how effectively it centralizes our day-to-day communication. Rather than bouncing between three separate apps for messaging, jumping on video calls, and sharing project documents, everything happens within a single interface. I especially like that my team can open and co-edit live Excel sheets or presentation decks right inside a chat window, without having to download files locally. The platform can be pretty demanding on system resources, especially RAM and CPU. I’ve noticed that when I have several background apps running during a large video call with screen sharing enabled, my laptop can occasionally start to lag. This is one of the best tools for quick and easy interaction with candidates. It provides a simple and convenient platform for connecting candidates to virtual interviews. In day-to-day work, this tool feature integrations have greatly improved and simplified communication. It has made communication much easier compared to the old process that required in-person screening. Teams is many ways what I always wanted Slack to me, a signle source of collaborative and remote first work space. Teams is easy to use and integrates with everything we do as a company. There is some hiccups with Mac to PC and desktop to browser based video conferencing but overall the benefits outweight the downside. The cost of the app is nominal as it is included with my Outlook/MS365 suite so I don't even think about it. As far as technical support goes there has been a rash of scammers that have been attempting to use Teams as a means to trick people which have been troublesome at best. It’s very easy to use since it’s inbuilt, and we’ve been working in the Microsoft environment for a long time. I can create my own channels and groups, host polls, and use the inbuilt AI for transcripts. I can also integrate it with other tools, such as space management tools, and I can use it on my phone, which makes it really handy. It also stores documents shared with a person, so it’s easy to find resources later.

What the best i like about is how the things like communication, file sharing and important updates can be shared altogether in one platform. And the integration of MS365 apps makes it more efficient during the project work especially done in collaboration.The UI/UX is well built as it has organised team channels.It increase the overall performance of the project or task. The one thing I dislike is that it sometimes feels slow in low performance systems. Even the notification system is bit complex as it can be clustered and not visible properly. One thing I dislike is that on macOS the app can be unstable—sometimes it doesn’t restart properly and requires a full relaunch. Microsoft Teams is a great vision for team communication over Skype. I really like its ability to collaborate across all types of media. It allows for group calls, meeting scheduling, media sharing, and communicating.

Often I encounter bugs when using Team, especially during calls, blank screen and no video showing etc.

I have also encountered one where the messages were jumbled and not chronological

Finally the greatest frustration is that the actual chat interface completely disappears when you are on a call and getting back to the main interface to view messages or other team chat is nearly impossible. It is an excellent collaboration platform within the company, we have been using it since the pandemic and it has been quite useful for us. We have remote staff, both locally and in other cities, and with Teams we have been able to maintain constant and high-level communication. Along with that, the interface has improved A LOT since we started using it in 2020, and it integrates with AI agents to be able to summarize information, which is very useful for us. It remains a Microsoft tool that comes from another tool, so much of the functionality expected to come by default took a while to arrive (being able to reply to messages from the computer...) But these days the only thing I don't "like" is the fact that it still performs poorly on "low-end" devices that we use with some of our external collaborators, but it is better than before. At times, Microsoft Teams can feel cluttered, especially with multiple channels, chats, and notifications happening at once, which can make it harder to quickly find important conversations or updates. It integrates with Outlook Calendar and other Microsoft apps, and it can sync across my devices and transfer calls. It isn’t heavy on mobile phones and generally performs well. I haven’t used any support or onboarding process since I started working with it, mainly because I’m not an admin. I also haven’t seen many AI tools there, except the AI assistant called “Facilitator,” which is fantastic, although it could still be better.
