It integrates with Outlook Calendar and other Microsoft apps, and it can sync across my devices and transfer calls. It isn’t heavy on mobile phones and generally performs well. I haven’t used any support or onboarding process since I started working with it, mainly because I’m not an admin. I also haven’t seen many AI tools there, except the AI assistant called “Facilitator,” which is fantastic, although it could still be better. Microsoft Teams has become one of the most valuable collaboration tools in my daily workflow because it centralizes communication, meetings, files, and teamwork in one place. Instead of moving between email, chat apps, meeting links, shared drives, and project updates, Teams allows me to keep conversations, documents, calls, and decisions connected by team, channel, project, or customer initiative.

From a UI and UX perspective, the biggest benefit is the channel-based organization. I regularly use channels to separate topics, projects, internal discussions, and customer workstreams. This makes it easier to keep conversations structured and reduces the amount of time spent searching for information. Features like pinned chats, meeting notes, shared files, notifications, and threaded conversations help create a more organized collaboration experience. The interface is not perfect when there are too many teams or channels, but when governance is applied correctly, it becomes a very efficient workspace.

The integration with Microsoft 365 is one of the strongest advantages. Being able to collaborate on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook calendar, and meetings directly inside Teams saves a significant amount of time. What I like most is that everything is in one place. Chat, meetings, calls, and file sharing are all integrated, which really cuts down on the need to jump between different tools.

Honestly there's not a lot I dislike about Teams - it does what I need it to do really well. The main thing that bothers me is the memory usage. It can be quite heavy on my machine and I notice it slowing things down when I have a lot of other apps open at the same time. Would be great if they could optimise the performance a bit. It's used universally by most larger first and some smaller ones, too. Despite being a non-Microsoft user myself, Teams is just a necessity to doing business these days. The user interface is straightforward, you can make a voice or video call, link from a calendar invite and do screen sharing as well as limited amount of remote control with the remote users consent. It integrates seamlessly with all other microsoft/office365 products.

I've had a few camera issues, but overall performance is solid, as I believe it's built on the skype framework which has years of history.

You can use it as a "guest" free or use the commercial licence as part of the o365 billing, either bundled with something like office business, or I believe you can bolt on Teams to a lower grade licence such as exchange email only too. Onboarding is simple, download and login with either your paid or free email and password. I like how user-friendly Microsoft Teams is and how easy it is to find help online for it. It's great that when my team needs to share screens or can't upload an Excel sheet, they can just Google it to find solutions. I use Microsoft Teams for communicating with my team, and it allows me to update them at a moment's notice. I find it easy to update the script, policy, and best practices, and it's helpful for being available for crisis calls. Microsoft Teams helps us communicate and share ideas seamlessly. It also helps to keep every department apprised of what the other departments are working on, which is helpful. It's also really easy to integrate other software into the everyday operations, and it increases the overall performance level of the team by optimizing communication and helping us to maintain deadlines. Obviously, being a free service is a huge selling point and the support that they offer will immediately fix any issue that you're having. We used Slack beforehand for communicating with our WMS support team, and frankly I liked that better because it was a little smoother and easier to follow. I think Slack has a much simpler flow and the notifications are much easier to see, although as I get more and more used to Teams I'm starting to like it a lot more.
