Kyriba is quite user-friendly, especially for handling daily tasks and reviewing my team's work. By integrating Kyriba with our primary banks, we have streamlined the wiring process, which has greatly reduced the amount of time the team spends on wires each day. Previously, this used to take up more than half of their day, but now, for non-integrated banks, it only takes about two hours. One aspect I think could be improved is the clarity of payment statuses. When a payment is processed, the term "Terminated" is used, which generally has a negative connotation. For those who are not involved with the system on a daily basis, seeing a payment marked as "Terminated" can be alarming and may cause unnecessary concern. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I appreciate most about Kyriba is its ability to centralize and automate treasury processes that were previously manual and time-consuming. The platform has significantly reduced the time it takes to complete daily cash positioning, giving us faster access to prior-day and current-day cash visibility without the spreadsheet workarounds we relied on before. One of the biggest frustrations with Kyriba is the length of the implementation. We are approaching two years and are still not fully live on all modules, which is much longer than what was originally expected. The amount of internal time, testing, and follow-up required has been significantly higher than planned.

Another challenge is that the system is not as user-friendly as we would prefer. Even routine tasks and configuration updates require multiple steps, navigation between screens, or deeper system knowledge than expected. While the platform is powerful, it is not always intuitive, which creates added effort for the team instead of freeing up time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's great resource for any large company that has a large volume of bank accounts, numerous financial institutions, and processes in-house banking. The system is very customizable to handle process and condense large amounts of bank data and transactions in a one-stop place. It's got a ton of functionality and it can do a lot if you know how to set it up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The system is not easily navigated, and requires deep understanding in order to effectively set things up, maintain and troubleshoot problems if something comes up, or your team is needing to make changes. They have many support page resources, but is very challenging to follow because of the customized nature of setting things up client-to-client, and onboarding and training takes a lot of time. We like the capability to create custom reports using data from the Payment Module to support the preparation of our board report. Payment approvers particularly appreciate the convenience of using the mobile app to review and approve payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have a few noted System idiosyncrasies:

1. Bank Account Module (BAM): When a new account is added Core Data - Accounts, the Bank Account module does not automatically populate.

2. Payment Module - Attachment Issue: If a user clicks the back arrow instead of the Menu → Close button while adding an attachment to a payment, the payment is lost and must be re-entered.

3 Payment module - Approval Workflow: A payment must be approved from outside the payment record; otherwise, the transaction is not automatically remitted to the bank, causing processing delays.

4. Payment Module – Status Label: After executing a payment, the system displays the next action as “Terminated,” which can be confusing.

5. Mobile App: Users would like enhanced tools and improved accessibility within the mobile application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have been using Kyriba since 2001 and we were very pleased with how smoothly the implementation process went. We have gained may process improvements since using Kyriba. We considered few systems to meet our goals to improve our cash reporting and forecasting, and Kyriba TMS was very impressive and seemed the most robust.

The implementation team is great and on top of tasks and deadlines. They take time to explain the details and answer questions, as well as help you customize our processes to make sure the system is used in the most efficient way.

We didn’t notice any issues yet since the implementation is still underway, but one thing we noticed that it still requires some manual daily and weekly maintenance, like maintaining the accuracy of bank balances, the budget code mapping and, in our case, uploading reports from our other systems.
