"IBM Watson STT for Closed Captioning"

What do you like best?

I am a fan of the extensive APIs that Watson STT provides for transcription. We have also used them heavily for training the language models.

The APIs allow us to connect Watson to our Video cloud services - and make the process seamless. We have created an end to end Closed captioning platform based off Watson STT , the APIs and integrations with our video cloud.

This solves a big need for us.

What do you dislike?

I'd like the language models to be improved periodically.

For an education company such as ours, the ability to generate high accuracy transcripts right off the bat are a huge difference maker.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As an organization that produces a lot of video content being able to transcribe our content with improving degrees of accuracy is vital to serving our students needs. We use Watson to create Closed Captions for Video on demand and Live.

"Main Characteristics of IBM Watson Machine Learning"

What do you like best?

What I like the most is in terms of optimizing the company's logistics systems and processes, which, in the same way, affect the customer experience and favor an improvement in the organization of production processes that, thanks to the Machine Learning, have a solid database with which to justify decision making.

What do you dislike?

What I do not like is in terms of machine learning is precisely that those features that are subject to statistical analysis must be previously specified by the programmer manually.

Obviously, this supposes a clear restriction to the learning capacity of the machine and generates a greater incidence of human errors during the programming process

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I highly recommend it, Machine Learning favors innovation and the search for new solutions that, in most cases, are based on the correct interpretation of the data received, is excellent software.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

.The benefit obtained from this software is in terms of: technically speaking, machine learning consists of the use of statistical and mathematical techniques to create predictive models of response to data collection, this discipline is subdivided in turn between supervised learning and unsupervised learning.

That is, instead of needing a specific user to indicate exactly the instructions for each event, the program is able to progressively learn and improve its performance.

"Provides good capabilities and delivers best"

What do you like best?

It provides best machine learning services available for cloud based prediction models required.I would say that if you want good service where you can easily get modular extensions for predicting based on your dataset. It is a really good companion for data scientist.

What do you dislike?

Nothing to dislike about ibm Watson machine learning. It is best at what it does.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Yes I would recommend others to consider IBM Watson machine learning because I already mentioned that ibm Watson has dynamic capabilities and because of which it can serve as the best companion for you.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am a data scientist and each time we get different types of datasets to use so instead of building models everytime I prefer ibm Watson's machine learning because it provides dynamic capabilities with variety of modules to develop preferred model.

"ML at your fingertips"

What do you like best?

Well documented API and very easy to use, can plug into existing processes without too much trouble, reasonably priced for such a wide feature set. Everything on IBM cloud, so can be accessed almost anywhere. Customer service is also fairly responsive and knowledgeable. Helpful tutorials to get you started. Don't have to be an expert at ML to use it!

What do you dislike?

Not much freedom in adjusting results and parameters when training models; must rely on IBM Watson's black box implementation, which is nice, but makes refinement tricky. Wish there was more detailed explanations for some error codes to help with debugging.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Process automation to improve efficiency in the workplace; streamlined ML means there's a place in every day to day task where ML can be used. General text analysis, transcription generation, to better understand our customers. Adding more value to overall product line.

"Machine learning partnerships"

What do you like best?

I"m very impressed with how Watson is learning from various customers and technologies...and people. Watson has the ability to learn so well and translate that knowlege intuitively into value a customer appreciates.

What do you dislike?

Like any machine learning, it needs to be taught and start from a baseline.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would recommend starting with a blank template, ask the bigger questions up front to open the lense of how Watson might be able thelp you. The dialogue then opens wide for a thought provoking outcome based vision which helps the Watson team design a solution better for your situation.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Looking to solve at scale issues that humans would take weeks to resolve.

"Great enterprise AI solution"

What do you like best?

Watson is easy to set up and very intuitive to use. Watson offers impressively fast analytics. The natural language querying support is really good. It offers support for a wide variety of connectors. Cleansing and preparing the data is made simple with the "Shape Before" option. The display functionality makes it a breeze to generate visualizations, publish to a dashboard, produce infographics all with a couple of clicks.

What do you dislike?

It does not have support for streaming analytics. However, it provides an option to refresh the data at very short intervals to give a near real time experience.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Performing business analytics. The natural language querying ability has proven to be highly efficient for use by business analysts.
