Since the implementation of this action tracking system as part of our Q4 strategy rollout last year, I can see very precisely what my team leads are doing and lead them effectively. The ability to track actions down to the smallest details has greatly increased the productivity of our whole department - my teams are completing projects about 10% faster than before. **What do you dislike about Hive?** The Gantt chart view unfortunately does not give us a sufficient (for me) overview of how the project is going and where we are at any management level. During the monthly progress meetings with directors, I can't effectively switch from one timeline view to another, and printing these charts for board presentations is limited and often frustrating. I have also noticed that when the percentages supplied on action cards are not synced with the Gantt view, my team leads will have to do the manual update of the reports which will take up some time. **What problems is Hive solving and how is that benefiting you?** I manage the workforce allocation of our three sub-teams and external contractors. It’s so easy to add new projects and action cards and to keep all of my tasks organized by due date. **What do you dislike about Hive?** While I’m really enjoying all of the new features, the one thing I will say is that I really don’t like most of the different view options. I pretty much stick with the status view option because it’s the only way that my brain really works. I find that some of the other ones like the Gantt view, or even the list view are more overwhelming. **What problems is Hive solving and how is that benefiting you?** For me, Hive has continued to solve my to do list problem. Hive allows me to keep track of every task within their own individual workspaces but also see at a glance how each overall project is tracking. This is further aided by the ability to assign workflow statuses to individual tasks. **What do you dislike about Hive?** I really did not find anything much to dislike about Hive although there was an initial learning curve as there are some differences with the platform when compared with other project management tools. The support team were extremely helpful though in helping to learn some of the nuances of the software. I have found a few UI glitches from time to time when viewing multiple columns in the desktop application but these seem to be resolved by reloading the window. **What problems is Hive solving and how is that benefiting you?** Hive effectively consolidates all of my project management into one neat package. I can see all my active/in-progress projects at a glance but also see more granular detail for individual projects (workspaces) when required. The ability to also share project Gantt views externally with my clients without the need for any additional licensing is particularly helpful as it allows me to keep my clients updated at every stage of the process and also see if there are bottlenecks that are slowing down the project. When I am managing multiple projects at any one time, the "My Actions" tab offers a great way to see everything I have on the go. We have a lot of different creatives for local store marketing as well as system wide campaigns. Having all the proofs/approvals by version makes it super easy to track and see what is done. **What do you dislike about Hive?** I dont have a downside to Hive. It's a fantastic tool that has made it so easy to use for our own custom needs. **What problems is Hive solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our scope of work includes a lot of different versions. We have location versions as well as language versions. For example, when we create flyers for our campaigns we have 11 different versions. Having a dedicated sub-action for each version helps ease the proofs and approvals, quickly see where each version is at, and with the dependencies we can see which version is linked to which. HIVE is moving FAST with new updates nearly every week. Not only 'behind the scenes' patchwork either. These are full-on User Story 'Requests' from active users, including new functionality as well as weekly Webinars / Trainings on how to use them. In short, anything you want to see in Hive, post it to their forums, and if enough votes are received, it will literally be the next functionality implemented. Cannot be more impressed. **What do you dislike about Hive?** With their current rate of progress, the only thing I dislike is not being in the future!! I cannot wait for Buzz AI chatbot to be implemented, as was recently discussed by the CEO. This will be a game changer for Hive administration / management and yet another reason Hive is top of their industry. They already have AI in the project templates and it is phenomenal. **What problems is Hive solving and how is that benefiting you?** I manage over 180 different pieces of hardware equipment / assets, each with their own lifecycle replacement start and end dates. Within each of these assets is an additional battery with it's 'own' lifecycle start and end date as well. Hive enables me to stop using my previous spreadsheets and other unintuitive tracking methods, and instead let's me create "Action Cards" that can be assigned, scheduled, track time spent, show all device info, and can even have a "Sub"-Action Card for the internal battery, with it's 'own' device info and scheduled replacement dates! Not only this, but instead of having to MANUALLY create a custom action card for each piece of equipment, it was SO easy to import my previous spreadsheets directly into Hive from Excel .csv file! What was once an ugly Asset Tracker spreadsheet on one PC is now a dynamic Asset Management workflow visible to all relevant parties in my organization. Only one it there is an occasional glitch that makes the app shift in the window up about a half inch so that I can't access the toolbar at the top and makes it difficult to see.
