Most of the tools listed here (SafetyCulture, ETQ, Ideagen, VelocityEHS) are strong platforms, especially for global enterprises managing safety programs and ESG reporting.

One challenge many companies face though is that these platforms are usually designed around global compliance frameworks, while environmental compliance in many regions (for example India or Southeast Asia) is heavily tied to local regulatory approvals, consent conditions, monitoring schedules, and regulator-specific reporting requirements.

In practice, many organizations still end up tracking those requirements through Excel sheets and email reminders, even after implementing a large EHS platform.

Because of this gap, a few newer tools are starting to focus specifically on structuring environmental compliance workflows, such as converting regulatory conditions into tasks, reminders, and documentation workflows.

It will be interesting to see more platforms emerge that bridge the gap between enterprise EHS management systems and practical regulatory compliance tracking.

Curious to hear how others are solving this in their organizations.
