BrightHire has been very valuable for our team, particularly because of its AI intelligence. It helps us stay focused on the conversation instead of manual note-taking, which improves both interviewer focus and candidate experience. The ATS integrations make it easy to embed into our existing workflows, and its flexibility for customization allows us to tailor the platform to our specific needs and hiring processes.

I see clear opportunities for improvement in metrics and reporting, especially around how the Interviewer Quality Score is defined. More clarity on the criteria behind the overall score would make the insights more meaningful and actionable. Greater flexibility to tailor metrics and reporting to specific team needs would also be a strong improvement.

One thing I’ve started to appreciate more is how BrightHire creates a searchable archive of interviews. Over time, it becomes a really valuable knowledge base—you can go back and spot patterns across candidates or even reuse strong responses as benchmarks for future hiring.

Another underrated aspect is the candidate experience. Because interviews are more structured and focused, conversations tend to feel more organized and relevant, which reflects well on the company and avoids the usual repetitive questioning candidates often face.

I also like how it supports better alignment across teams. Everyone evaluates candidates using the same context and evidence, which reduces back-and-forth and helps teams reach decisions faster without miscommunication.

Finally, the integrations with other hiring tools make it easier to plug BrightHire into existing workflows rather than forcing teams to adapt to something completely new. That lowers friction and makes adoption much smoother.

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

One gap is deeper analytics. While it captures and organizes interviews nicely, it could go further in turning that data into actionable insights—like identifying which interview questions actually predict strong hires or flagging patterns in hiring decisions over time.

Another area is customization. Teams with very specific or complex hiring workflows might find the structure a bit rigid. More flexibility in tailoring interview templates, scorecards, and evaluation criteria would make it more adaptable across different roles and industries.

There’s also room to improve onboarding and training. For new users, especially interviewers who aren’t very tech-savvy, the learning curve can feel a bit steep. More guided setup, in-product tips, or best-practice prompts could help teams get value faster.

**What do you like best about BrightHire?**

I use BrightHire to record and review all our interviews at Help Scout. It helps us capture transcripts for review, ensuring we ask all the necessary questions in interviews. I love that it gets our scorecards in faster because they are easier to generate and assists in training new interviewers. I often use the clip feature to share real candidate responses quickly with the team, which aids in providing more context and introducing our team to candidates. The tool is pretty easy to use and offers all the features we need to run a great process.

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

There's a lot of features we don't yet use, and a few I'm not sure we need. I'd rather have an MCP where I can do a lot of what they set up in BrightHire right through Claude or ChatGPT. That would certainly make the platform easier to use and to get our team to use more.

**What do you like best about BrightHire?**

I use BrightHire for interview recording and love how it has become an integral part of our Talent Acquisition ecosystem. It allows interviewers to focus on meaningful conversations with candidates while still capturing structured feedback. BrightHire reduces the burden of manual note-taking, keeps interviews structured and consistent through standardized attributes, scorecards, and AI-supported notes, and improves fairness by grounding hiring decisions in documented insights rather than memory or personal bias. It also makes sharing feedback easier and faster, improves candidate experience, and helps us run more efficient, equitable, and high-quality interviews, saving a lot of time for interviewers, recruiters, and TA Ops. I appreciate how easy the initial setup was, and the integration with our ATS and workflows was smooth. We also integrate it with Greenhouse, and it's our first interview recording tool, which we're loving.

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

Calling and messaging capability should be enabled globally, as it is currently limited to the US. Expanding this feature across regions, especially in India, where calling and texting is the preferred communication method, would be extremely helpful to improve the candidate experience.

I also love that BrightHire integrates directly with Greenhouse and zoom. Being able to take notes and easily import them into the scorecard allows me to better focus on the conversation with candidates. 

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

I would love for BrightHire to incorporate some AI grading type notes. It does amazing at recording and transcribing, and I'd like to see them go a step further in analyzing how the candidate performed in the interview! 

**What problems is BrightHire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BrightHire lets me focus on the content of the interview, digging in and engaging with the candidate instead of furociously typing every word they say in their answers. It's so easy to go back into the platform and watch the recordings which helps so much. In the busy days, there is no possible way to remember everything candidates say and when I'm interviewing a lot it can be hard to remember who said what as well. BrightHire solves this problem!

I like how good the notes and transcripts are. The screen tool specifically is very well developed and works well. BrightHire saves us time and increases interview volume and speed.

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

I am currently at a place where the BrightHire Chrome extension is unreliable and I am constantly overseeing the product, and the screen product is not providing the candidate experience that we are used to. Dual pronged - both of the core products we use aren't at the bar that we expect. I have had to solve the issues with the chrome extension on my own, essentially creating a workflow that bypasses it entirely.

BrightHire need to work on their UI which is bit clunky and also see lot of performance issue or delay after completing a interview session also sometime there is audio syncing issue with the recorded person which can definitely improve

I find that BrightHire allows us to interview some 'bubble' candidates that we might not have had time to otherwise, and it occasionally rules candidates out before they schedule a recruiter screen. The tool itself is very seamless and easy to use. Our candidates are also having a positive experience with it. BrightHire integrates with our ATS, Ashby, which is convenient.

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

I would love some additional functionality like a public booking link. The initial setup was quite seamless, I'd rate it a 3.5 out of 10 on the ease scale, where 1 is easy and 10 is difficult.

I use BrightHire for initial candidate screens, allowing us to interview 'bubble' candidates efficiently and sometimes rule them out before a recruiter screen. It shortens our recruitment process.

I really like the AI feature of BrightHire because it saves me a ton of time and allows me to focus on the conversation rather than being distracted by making notes during interviews. The star and flag features are also great as they allow me to mark strong moments or potential concerns about a candidate during interviews.

I recently learned about their Advanced Custom Templates for AI Notes which is very interesting. In terms of improvement areas, I cannot think of anything else, it's all good :)

- Prior to Brighthire, I had some interviewers who would hardly provide any notes. Brighthire gives us more detailed notes and the ability to go back and review the recording in the event that we need more clarity.
- The interface is easy to use and pretty intuitive.
- The AI generated notes are useful.

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

The reporting/analytics isn't always the most intuitive and helpful to use. Sometimes the recording didn't actually save and there's no way of knowing that until the interview has already concluded. And I didn't take notes because I assumed Brighthire was recording.

**What do you like best about BrightHire?**

I've been using BrightHire for about two years as a conversation quality tool, primarily for phone screens, intake sessions with hiring managers, and offer extensions. I initially chose BrightHire after a comprehensive evaluation of eight or nine conversation quality tools and found it to be the best fit for our needs. Setting up BrightHire was incredibly easy, requiring little to no integration, just a simple Chrome extension, which allowed us to launch quickly and scale to over 500 recruiters. I am impressed with its ability to use AI and automation for evaluating calls en masse against a rubric, providing deep insights into recruiter-candidate conversations, and ensuring candidate quality. It's invaluable for capturing conversations, transforming them from tribal to organizational knowledge, preventing redundant conversations, and enhancing the candidate experience while maintaining full documentation. We often use its call recording feature for offer extensions and hiring manager intakes, and I'm currently testing their impressive AI interviewer with tech candidates. BrightHire integrates seamlessly with various software like Infor, GHR,  Jobvite CRM, and Lever. The usability of BrightHire is exceptional, with an intuitive interface that is easy for recruiters to use, saving them significant time. I also appreciate their innovative team, who continuously improve the product by releasing new features, making BrightHire significantly better than when I first started using it. Overall, BrightHire enhances recruiter efficiency and candidate experience.

I think a deeper integration into texting within BrightHire would be beneficial.

I use BH daily for my recruiter screens. BrightHire helps me with being more present in the calls and give more human touch to the conversation that just asking ques and taking notes. We use it with our ATS Greenhouse and the integration feels seemless.

I find the summary part quite basic, most of the time you have to choose the traits to be covered in the conversation but it don't have the essence of the conversation.

Honestly, the only part I found helpful was having recordings in one place. It’s convenient in theory, but that’s about where the benefits stopped for me.

The platform felt clunky and unintuitive. I constantly had issues with recordings not syncing properly, lag in the interface, and slow load times. It added friction to my workflow instead of saving me time.
The search functionality also isn’t strong, and it never felt seamless to pull insights or revisit specific moments in conversations. Overall, it just didn’t feel like a tool that made interviewing better or easier.

there are so many things I love about BrightHire.  It allows me to focus on the conversation without scrambling to take notes and ensures I don't miss important technical details.  It accurately captures industry jargon, even when candidates have accents or tend to ramble, and organizes key takeaways into clear bullet points.  I also appreciate how it filters out filler words, keeping the information concise and relevant.  Plus, with notes seamlessly integrated into my scorecard, my admin time is drastically reduced.  BrightHire has not only made my screening process faster and more accurate but has also helped me become a more effective recruiter.

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

I wish there were an easier way to learn how to use BrightHire right from the start.  While it was straightforward to call candidates and have notes populate the scorecard, figuring out how to automatically fill in the scorecard wasn't as intuitive.  I had to discover on my own that I needed to create interview questions for it to work properly.  It felt like I had to use the platform through trial and error rather than having a tutorial to guide me.

**What problems is BrightHire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BrightHire is solving the problem of time and efficiency in the hiring process.  It enables me to complete a thorough screen from call to submittal in just 30 minutes, allowing me to engage with more candidates. It also captures key details with greater accuracy than I could on my own, leading to more comprehensive and precise write--ups for hiring managers.  By streamlining the screening process and improving data quality, BrightHire helps recruiters work more efficiently.

Product capabilities. All the people involved are top-notch revolutionizing the way interviews are recorded transcribed and making ease of use to create scorecards and interview guides for a valuation properly of candidates. Truly can get data to help evaluate scale and improve quality of people interviewing, and therefore making better selections. I've been a recruiting leader at multiple startups. BrightHire is *the* tool that pulls interviewing into the 21st century. Our interviewing has become radically better AND easier:

1. It turns interviews from a black box (employee gets sent in, may or may not do a great job, hard to tell absent awful Glassdoor reviews) into something that can be managed: revisited, shared, analyzed, used for training and improvement - whether by the interviewer themselves, or the recruiting team.
2. Because it records and transcribes the interviews, we can focus more on the conversation, can get multiple perspectives on an answer, can replay, search, compare, and do more interviews on any given day.

Our candidates, interviewers, and leaders all are grateful for this unlock. We use it all the time. Implementation was very easy. Support responsive.

No downsides to having this companion by our side.
The "interview companion" and replay experience work seamlessly with our video conference system and applicant tracking system. The administrator interface and UX can take a little bit of time to figure out, but is improving and most users don't need it.

The AI notes and summarization via Notetaker. The transcipt is 90% accurate and is a real value add to get the flow and sentiment of the interview once it is completed. I never felt so confident in conducting interviews and focusing on the pure play content before this - as I was always looking to make notes or note down reactions. With Brighthire, it feels like there is a superhuman assistant guiding me to make the right decision on the candidate.

It is extremely easy to use and non-invasive in terms of a ton of CTAs - I love this spontaneity.

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

I have not really found one. Is there a sentiment analysis summary somewhere I can access? Like understanding the motivation level of the candidate from the tonality and the words used to answer? 

This is more of a query than a complaint - but that is what I feel would fill the tiny remaining gap.

The other aspect (nitpicking here) is the accuracy of the transcript especially if a third person wants to go through the raw notes. I believe this will improve - but as of now it misses some common business terms completely.

As summarized earlier, it is helping me capture notes to a high level of accuracy without breaking the flow of conversation. The compare feature is also a great enabler - although I would want to see more direct recommendations based on the comparisons shown.

Brighthire's recording functionality has completely upleveled our hiring process. We use it all the time for every single interview we do at Kinetic. Being a fully distributed team, this allows a few efficiencies. First, it allows us to share clips with hiring managers during interviews we are less confident about and want to discuss. Second, for training purposes, it allows me to watch our team's interviews and provide specific, actionable feedback that will help them grow as interviewers. Third, as a hiring manager, I can easily verify what the interview team sees as a red flags or positives and go back and watch the answers from candidates to confirm or disagree.

Overall, I am a big fan of Bright Hire so I don't have a lot of specifics that I dislike. The only thing I can share is that for our less technical folks, there was a learning curve for them to start to feel natural while using BrightHire.

Brighthire makes the tedius parts of my role effortless, I use it daily! The integration with Zoom and Greenhouse Software folds seamlessly into my workflows. 

The time spent filling out scorecards is minimized while still capturing all the details. I add my human commentary on the content and can provide more meaningful considerations for hiring managers. I get to be more present with each candidate I speak with — connecting on a human level is why I love my job. I've noticed that scorecards are more complete by my hiring teams, with more concrete examples — and I love that I can replay as needed! Thank you, BrightHire!

I haven't had challenges using the tool, but we've recieved white glove experience from a customer support perspective!

**What do you like best about BrightHire?**

Brighthire used to only have up to 2x playback speed on interview recordings, which made it difficult to quickly go back through interviews. I sent a feature request asking for up to 3x speed, and within a week or two they *emailed me back and said they had shipped it*. I've never seen such a responsive team that actualy cares about what customers want.

The AI recapping of interview content is also really cool.

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

I wish Brighthire would buy Greenhouse so that workflows were better integrated between the two products.

**What problems is BrightHire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to interview without taking notes, so I can really focus on the conversation. It also makes it extremely easy to go back and refresh myself on the contents of a conversation.

**What do you like best about BrightHire?**

- It's simplicity - shows up consistently and is easy to use
- It allows me and my hiring team to be fully present in the interviews (vs scrambling to take notes), which has allowed us to have more in-depth discussions with candidates 
- Has allowed us to identify some gaps on our hiring team that we can provide feedback and ongoing training on
- Good integration with Lever, Zoom and Google Meet that was simple to set up 
- Feedback from Hiring Managers has been super positive so far in using the tool 
- Team is great to work with - Jennifer in particular is always quick to respond and follows up on any challenges we've had

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

- If you aren't on top of your Hiring Managers about their Zoom Settings from the get go you can miss some interviews as if they don't have unique meeting rooms turned on and one candidate opts out of BrightHire, then it will opt out of every interview until those settings are fixed. Small issue that was resolved quickly but wished I had known from the get go to project manage them more closely.
- The AI-notes are good but don't perfectly correlate when you click the import notes button - I know this is something the team is working on but for now, we've just been clicking copy/paste on the summary into 1 box and that's been a good workaround for now. Still gives you all of the right notes, just not in the correct boxes.

**What problems is BrightHire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Being more present in interviews to do a deeper analysis of candidates 
- Levelling up interviewers (particularly managers who are newer to interviewing) faster
- Creating scalable interview training programs that consistently building the interviewing muscle

**What do you like best about BrightHire?**

I have completed over a thousand interviews with BrightHire. BrightHire’s “intelligence” is incredible. This recruiting tool provides a detailed transcript of the conversation, eliminating dependence on written notes, though there is a place for them on the platform. The transcript also will correctly spell complicated brand and product names, and company names, and define obscure acronyms, and pick up parts of the conversation that are sometimes inaudible or difficult to hear. In addition, the interviewer’s notes are visible and may be shared with or made available to the team. The feature I rely on the most is their Artificial Intelligence. A summary of the conversation is available shortly after the completion of the interview. Very succinct AI bullet points facilitate composing a comprehensive presentation of the candidate. The interview can be shared with HMs or Team Members in phone recorded or video recorded clips or in its entirety. BrightHire helps me do a better job recruiting.

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

Cutting and pasting from the transcript and notes is clunky. The AI notes in the email afterwards helps a lot, but to copy the written text to a document takes a few steps that might be simplifed.

**What problems is BrightHire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We deal with a lot of technical language that is sometimes hard to write down when inteviewing a candidate. The recording allows for great accuracy when describing a candidate to a Hiring Manager or team member. The better the summary of a candidate, the easier it is for a the team to decide if it is worth their time to pursue.

**What do you like best about BrightHire?**

It records the videos and lets you annotate them with timestamps. The recording happens automatically, and candidates can opt-out before joining.
It makes it really convenient to re-watch an interview before making a decision. It's also useful to audit the quality of other interviewers and train new interviewers. Having the interview recorded (and peer reviewed) also helps reducing biases.

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

Candidates have to feel comfortable being recorded. That being said, I've only seen 1 candidate opt-out, out of 100+ interviews conducted. It's a biased measure of course, since some candidate might feel penalized if they opt out.

**What problems is BrightHire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pretty much what I wrote previously. It lets me rewatch interviews to make better decisions, audit other interviewers' and train new interviewers.

We love being able to use the AI notes feature that Brighthire offers and directly integrates with our ATS, Greenhouse. It has really improved the detail and submission of scorecards for our teams. Brighthire also has an amazing customer service team and anytime we have product feedback or questions, they are there to help!

We have loved using Brighthire, but the only feedback I would give is it's hard to get folks to download a zoom add on - would love to be able to automate this if possible eventually! Otherwise, no dislikes!

AI Notes make it easy to summarize, transcript and video recording are helpful for reviewing past interviews, integrates with different video conferencing tools, customer support responds quickly and is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about BrightHire?**

Rarely occurs, but sometimes a bug will happen where notes won't be recorded. This is rare enough that it hasn't affected our usage and customer support is always very helpful in looking into it. Could happen with any technology.

**What problems is BrightHire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving Talent Advisors time when interviewing, summarizes key aspects of interviews which saves time when submitting candidates. Reduces bias in the process because Hiring Managers can view the interview directly and watch clips to see answers.
