I like that since adding Abnormal AI to our setup, we've seen a drastic reduction in phishing emails, credential theft, and malicious team messages. Before, we were inundated with phishing emails bypassing our old email security, but Abnormal AI significantly reduces those threats. I appreciate that it provides an additional layer of email security and automatically manages phishing and promotional emails, boosting our team's productivity. The initial setup was also very easy—an Abnormal AI engineer guided us through it, and we managed to complete 90% of the configuration in just a one-hour meeting. The AI Phishing Coach module is still premature and needs improvement for enterprise-level use. The audio of the AI lady, Jess, in the module doesn't synchronize. I like that Abnormal AI makes my mailbox cleaner and provides peace of mind by monitoring our Office 365 accounts for account takeovers. The software effectively blocks unwanted email spam, stops inbound threats, and organizes greymail, which enhances our email safety and management. The portal is extremely easy to use, simplifying the administration of email significantly. Additionally, the initial setup was smooth and uncomplicated, as changing a few MX records and coordinating with the Abnormal team ensured everything was correctly set up. Honestly, there isn't much that I dislike. However, I do feel that some of the reporting and filtering settings could be improved. For example, when searching for something, the selected filters often don't persist between menus, which means I have to recreate the filter and search again. I am genuinely impressed by how accurately Abnormal AI detects threats, ensuring that it doesn't mistakenly block legitimate emails. This precision means we don't waste any time managing email queues or dealing with false positives that require manual release, as we often did with traditional email security gateways like Mimecast. Managing email risk is now much easier, and the switch from Mimecast, which failed to reliably block malicious emails, was long overdue. The setup process for Abnormal AI was effortlessly easy, adding to the smooth transition. The effectiveness of Abnormal AI in protecting our emails and Microsoft Teams messages, along with its ability to detect unauthorized use of our accounts, is exceptional. I find the user interface of Abnormal AI could be more responsive. Improvements in cloud resilience are needed, especially after the recent outage. Additionally, further integration into M365 email for a single view of all message tracking would be beneficial, although I acknowledge this may not be easy to implement. Abnormal AI stands out for its advanced threat detection capabilities, particularly in identifying socially engineered attacks like BEC's and account takeovers. After dumping the traditional email security gateways for them e-mail security was all of a sudden interesting again because I actually had time to be proactive and not reactive. The interface is clean and easy to use, and the threat insights are clear and actionable. What really stood out to me is how little configuration was needed—it worked right out of the box and integrated smoothly with Microsoft 365. Since we started using Abnormal AI, the number of email threats reaching end users has dropped to nearly zero, which has made a significant difference in improving our organization security and workload. Overall, it's a very solid platform, but there are a few things that could be improved. On very few occasions, legitimate emails get flagged, and since end users aren't notified or don't understand why the email was held, it can cause confusion. Better tools for reviewing and releasing these messages quickly would improve the experience.

Also, as a post-delivery solution, Abnormal can’t always act fast enough on certain threats like malicious calendar invites. For example, Outlook may auto-process an invite and add it to the calendar before Abnormal deletes the email, which creates a potential risk. We were early adopter of Abnormal as the API integration is the way forward, and getting off from Secure Email Gateway framework. API integration was done in minutes, and the Dashboard is easy to comprehend. We compared Abnormal with other platforms, and they stood out for ease of usage, ability to identify and differentiate from genuine and malicious email and high rate of efficacy. The greatest thing about Abnormal is once you set it up, you don't have to make changes. I look at the Dashboard infrequently, and it keeps doing its job.
