# What platform integrates transcription with video conferencing tools?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Are you looking for a platform that integrates transcription directly with video conferencing tools like Zoom, Meet, or Teams? Managing transcripts separately can be time-consuming, so I’ve been exploring <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/transcription">transcription software solutions</a> that handle everything in one place.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Here are a few platforms I’ve been looking at:</p><ul>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/fireflies-ai/reviews">Fireflies.ai</a>: Connects with Zoom, Meet, and Teams to provide live transcription and searchable meeting notes. Does it keep accuracy high across different platforms?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/fathom-video/reviews">Fathom</a>: Designed specifically for meetings, it integrates with Zoom and generates highlights instantly. Is it just as effective for Teams or Meet users?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/tl-dv/reviews">tl;dv</a>: Focused on recording and transcription inside Zoom and Google Meet. Is it best for smaller teams, or can larger organizations rely on it?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/riverside/reviews">Riverside</a>: Popular for podcasts and webinars, it integrates transcription into recording sessions. How well does it work for everyday business calls?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/descript/reviews">Descript</a>: Allows you to record meetings and transcribe directly. Does it integrate seamlessly enough, or is it better suited for post-meeting editing?</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">For those using these tools:</p><ul>
<li>Which integration has been the most seamless with your video conferencing setup?</li>
<li>Do the transcripts appear quickly enough to be useful during the meeting itself?</li>
<li>Any issues with permissions, setup, or participants opting out?</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Thanks for sharing!</p>

Fireflies is probably the safest answer if the main priority is broad meeting platform coverage + searchable transcripts afterward. Fathom is great, but I still mostly think of it as a Zoom-first favorite. tl;dv also seems strong, especially for Zoom/Meet-heavy teams, but feels a bit more meeting-notes-first than true org-wide transcription infrastructure.

I find Descript to be better for post-meeting workflows than live integration with conferencing tools.

We saw issues when meetings were started ad hoc instead of from the calendar. Bots usually don’t join those automatically.

One challenge we faced was ensuring the transcription bot joins every meeting consistently. This usually broke down in edge cases, like recurring meetings, external invites, or permission mismatches. We had to double-check calendar integrations and user settings to make sure coverage was reliable.
