What do you like best about ShipHero?

ShipHero is a fantastic operating system. It has helped us take control of complexity in our warehouse. Definitely hard to grasp at the start when we implemented it over a year ago, but can’t imagine running our business without it now.

As a multi node 3PL, there is lots of complexity in order routing, carrier selection etc. and with help from the ShipHero team, we are able to continue to keep solving complex issues to make order fulfillment seamless for our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShipHero?

As a Canada based 3PL, there are some things left to be desired. Posthero for Canada would help us track carrier performance, however it only seems to function well in the US.

There is also a lack of selection with direct carrier integrations, even with major carriers in Canada like Intelcom, Fleet Optics etc. that forces us to rely on webhook connections, which don’t play well with some important features like rate shopping and shipping containers. What do you like best about ShipHero?

ShipHero has drastically improved our fulfillment business in numerous ways. First, it's forced us to become even more organized and process driven than ever before. Our daily use of the web app, desktop app and iOS apps has helped us level up our warehouse operations. Second, it's allowed us to easily start charging customers for storage based on usage and accurately charge for fulfillment labor to make a profit. What do you dislike about ShipHero?

I dislike that the ShipHero UI feels a bit disjointed and inconsistent. There are sections that have entirely different navigation menus than the rest of the web app! I feel like the overall web app UI needs a lot of work. The app can also feel a bit buggy at times for as expensive as it is, but I recognize how complex it is to integrate with all the different carriers and e-commerce platforms. What do you like best about ShipHero?

ShipHero has brought so much organization and clarity to our ship room and warehouse. This was the first WMS I’ve ever implemented, and I was nervous it’d be super technical, but the setup was way smoother than I expected. The system just makes sense once you’re in it — from pick and pack workflows with barcodes to real-time inventory and order syncing. I love how quickly our team caught on (our shippers and CS team love it!) and how easy it is to see exactly what’s going on in the warehouse or with any product at any moment. The Shopify, Walmart, and Amazon integrations are a essential for us — everything feels connected now.

ShipHero has also basically eliminated mis-shipped product errors, and our Customer Service Team LOVES that! Cycle Counts simplify our inventory processes as well, as we used to use clipboards and manually count monthly. Breaking up Cycle Counts over time is a breath of fresh air and simplifies things as well as increases my confidence in our overall numbers at any given time! What do you dislike about ShipHero?

There are elements to ShipHero that are difficult to catch on to up front - you really have to USE it to understand fully. There's only so much prep you can do in onboarding before Go-Live -- a lot of what you learn is real-time.

Additionally, based on how we work as a Brand, the replenishment process unfortunately does not fit our workflows and we've had to do some tweaking. But all in all it's been a great add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ShipHero?

ShipHero does a great job streamlining operations and keeping fulfillment flowing smoothly. The interface is easy to navigate, which matters a lot when you live in the system all day, and the recent upgrades around inventory locations, totes, and related workflows have been genuinely helpful and show they are investing in the product.

Customer service has also been solid overall. When we run into issues, we usually hear back within a few hours, which makes a big difference when operations are moving fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShipHero?

That said, the biggest downside for us, and the part that truly hurts the experience, is replenishment. It has been broken for well over a year and has caused repeated operational issues and slowdowns. I am sure it is being worked on, but it has had a real and measurable impact on our efficiency.

I also do not understand why replenishment and putaway do not use some sort of snake method similar to fulfillment. During putaway, there is nothing on the main screen that shows where products should go, so you have to click into each item or scan each barcode just to see its location. Because the system does not automatically create an optimized putaway path, a task that should take considerably less time can take hours and a lot of unnecessary steps.

The same issue exists with replenishment. Once you select all the items to replenish, there is no organization or logical flow, so you are forced to manually scroll through the list and create your own path, which again adds unnecessary time and friction.

Another frustrating issue is the default invoice and packing slip label. It only shows five items and prints on about half of a 4 x 6 label. Our previous service displayed close to twenty items on the same size label, which reduced waste and made packing faster. When this was raised with support, the solution offered was their paid custom label service. I made it clear this was not a request for a custom label but a request to improve the standard label experience to match what other platforms already provide.

From there, it felt like the feedback was pushed to the bottom of an endless list of product suggestions. That is especially disheartening because it creates unnecessary waste and inefficiency, then positions a paid upgrade as the fix. Considering the cost of the platform, it feels less like innovation and more like chasing pennies with a handful of dollar bills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use ShipHero every single day getting started was simple and has genuinely transformed the way we work, giving us the freedom to focus more on design, sales, and customer service. By trusting Shiphero as our 3PL partner to manage inventory, receive products (this one was big because we'd share a dock with all the offices), and handle shipping, we no longer need to stress over the operational aspects. What do you like best about ShipHero?

I appreciate ShipHero's complexity and manipulability, which allow for detailed and flexible management of our warehouse operations. The ability to auto batch shipments and utilize picking locations is incredibly valuable, making processes more efficient and organized. The feature to use defined picking locations is particularly beneficial as it simplifies the onboarding process for seasonal help, ensuring they can quickly adapt to our workflows. What do you dislike about ShipHero?

I’m struggling with the concept of 'virtual' warehouses in ShipHero. Although I have a primary e-commerce warehouse location, I frequently operate pop-ups and need virtual warehousing to manage these effectively. I’m not satisfied with how this feature currently functions. Additionally, the process of inventory transfers is problematic. I find myself having to simulate actual shipments from one warehouse to another when I merely aim to perform a virtual transfer; this complicates operations unnecessarily.
