“Dynamic Collaboration Tool with Stellar Speed”
What do you like best about Revizto?

I like how Revizto doesn't force me into a single way of doing things. There are multiple avenues to go down for a single solution, which makes it really helpful to address various issues. It's a wide dynamic tool, allowing us to make adjustments on the fly and develop new workflows as we go. It's also really cool within our team since having multiple people using the same program means we can share ideas and different workflows, bouncing ideas back and forth, which is super helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revizto?

I don't like that the measurement tool only allows one measurement. It would be awesome if you could have multiple measurements coming off of one measurement in the same view. Just having that single view option is a bummer. One other area would be the Procore integration. Right now, to my knowledge, it only connects to Procore documents. It would be really nice if we were able to plug it directly into the Procore drawings rather than the documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Revizto solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Revizto to streamline all of our MEP trade models into one space and keep clash detection, model organization, and issue tracking organized. It's a clean workspace for our projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Precise, Reliable Drafting with a Professional, Customizable Interface”
What do you like best about AutoCAD?

The precision and reliability in technical Drafting is pretty good. Interface is professional and also customizable which is very rare. It has wide range of tools, layer management and is compatible iwth mutliple file formats. AUTOCAD improves productivity through its accurate measurements and dimensionings, which are critical for engineers. Also, its available free of cost for students and has a pretty solid Rate of Interest for working professionals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AutoCAD?

AutoCad can feel overwhelming to beginners cause of its wide range of tools and commands, especially when you are working on complex 2d or 3d shapes or large files. Even though the interfae is professional but sometimes it feels a bit outdated compared to newer design softwares. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AutoCAD solving and how is that benefiting you?

Beofre using AutoCad, creating and modifying technical drawings used to take much more time and increased the chances of errors. With AutoCad now i can design complex shapes with much more precision. I can make quick changes and organize drawings efficiently. It saves significant time during design and documentation work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Seamless Switch from AUTODESK with Great Pricing and Excellent Support”
What do you like best about ZWCAD?

It's a seemless transition from AUTODESK and they have very good pricing as I do not need all the rubbish autodesk bundle with the software. The straight purchase option is perfect as I do not like subscription models at all and have changed a lot of my company stuff to other vendors because of this.

I need a basic 2D drawing programme and this far exceeds what I need in usability and features with a very well designed interface.

The client support and interaction has to date been amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ZWCAD?

Not found any negatives thus far and I have really tried to break it by opening all CAD versions I have going back 20 years on some multi level buildings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ZWCAD solving and how is that benefiting you?

“Transforms Architectural Workflow with 3D Precision”
What do you like best about Revit?

I like that building a 3D model enables you to generate relevant views from the model and that they are live updated when changes to the model occur. I appreciate that I can visualize any part of a project with the model, which helps clarify where critical drawings or views will support the client and contractors' understanding of the design intent. It's beneficial that drawings are all live updated when the model changes, helping to avoid missing updates that would have to be made manually if using a 2D CAD system. I like that the 3D model and documents are one in the same. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revit?

I wish there was a better library of included hatch patterns and materials. I find that material rendering is something I have to spend much more time than I'd like to enable accurate rendering outputs. Certain materials are difficult to rotate, particularly if they are a part of a component, rather than 'painted' into the model. The material and hatch library just feel very limited, which requires trying to custom generate or find other materials to bring in which can get messy. Creating your own templates and knowing how to customize certain features to create useful outputs/data within a model can get very complicated if you're not quite savvy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?

I like that building a 3D model in Revit enables me to generate relevant views that are live-updated with model changes, avoiding manual updates required by 2D CAD systems. This helps clarify design intent for clients and contractors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Unique Interface, Synchronous Design, and Great Support Boost Efficiency”
What do you like best about Designcenter Solid Edge?

I really like the unique interface, especially the Synchronous Design and design intent. It helps me integrate parts much faster, and other platforms don’t have this feature. Integration with other platforms is also easy thanks to the multi-platform and format support. It works well with big assemblies, and the performance mode is great when working on complex drawings. Working with APS Industrial to get the best pricing makes it worth the purchase for sure. APS Industrial is also providing excellent support with Siemens, and the AI Intelligence features that have recently been added are increasing work efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter Solid Edge?

Sometimes it can be unstable with product add-ons going into major simulations, guess this could be expected but further development for that would be great as we use that a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“SketchUp: Designers’ Ultimate "Ideation Engine"”
What do you like best about SketchUp?

It is every designer's go-to 3D software and a digital sketchbook with the most easiest user interface that doesn't require much learning. It remains indispensable to most of the firms of the design industry as it is allows designers very fast iterations, beautiful visualizations and professional grade performance and collaboration. The software is easy to setup and the on boarding process is smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SketchUp?

The major factor is the 'bug splat". Despite its versions and performance have upgraded tremendously over the years, SketchUp is still prone to crashes when models become overly heavy with un-purged components.. Also, complex geometry cannot be easily created without third-party plugins. For a tool that started as free/affordable option, the recurring pro subscription pricing may feel steep for solo practitioners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SketchUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

It creates a perfect bridge between 2D sketch and ideation and the final resulting 3D render. It can be seamlessly integrated into AutoCAD's workflow, AI's workflow and also as external exports for a cloud based softwares like Coohom. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Edificius, beyond BIM”
What do you like best about Edificius?

Edificius is not just a BIM software, it is a true ally for both architectural, structural, and energy studies. Extremely easy to use, powerful in the realization of projects of all kinds. One of the strengths, for me, lies in the instant update of every drawing (from the plan to the elevation to the section to the axonometry) following even the slightest change of any element, saving me hours of work compared to the classic two-dimensional project on CAD. The customer support is also truly excellent with competent staff. I couldn't do without it anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Edificius?

I don't think there is anything useless. Of course, like all the best software, there are always some improvements that could be made. Specifically, I would like to be able to manage free tables with cells that perform calculations or, at the very least, integrate OLE objects (like an Excel table or a Word text). Finally, the management of images could be improved by allowing cropping. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Edificius solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about SOLIDWORKS?

As a mechanical engineer, I find that it gives me the freedom and ease to create 2D drawings and 3D models with lots of shortcuts, compared with AutoCAD and other software. Part assembly in SOLIDWORKS is also very user-friendly and straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SOLIDWORKS?

Rebuild errors. I think SOLIDWORKS should integrate a system that can detect rebuild errors and help resolve the issue. Sometimes, while I’m applying commands, it shows rebuild errors, and after that I’m not able to find where the errors are coming from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SOLIDWORKS solving and how is that benefiting you?

SOLIDWORKS helps reduce the cost of prototyping. With this software, I can create almost any part, choose materials using the Appearances section, and then run different types of analysis with SOLIDWORKS Simulation.

As a third-year mechanical engineering student, I regularly model parts and assemblies, which has really helped me improve my skills. “Simplifying 3D Design and Prototyping in One Platform.”
What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion?

What I like best about Autodesk Fusion is that it brings design, simulation, and manufacturing into a single platform, which makes the entire workflow smooth and efficient. I can create a 3D model, make quick design changes, and directly test or prepare it for manufacturing without switching between multiple software tools.

The parametric modeling feature is especially helpful because it allows easy edits even at later stages of the design. I also like the clean and intuitive interface, which makes it beginner-friendly while still offering advanced tools for complex designs. For students and engineers, the availability of cloud saving and collaboration makes project work more organized and accessible from anywhere. The best part for me about the fusion 360 is that you can design a whole Electronic components in 3d , also we can design PCBs and use auto routing feature all in single platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion?

One thing I dislike about Autodesk Fusion is that it is highly dependent on an internet connection for sign-in and cloud features, which can be inconvenient when working with limited or unstable connectivity. Sometimes the software also feels resource-heavy, especially on mid-range systems, causing slowdowns during complex assemblies or simulations.

Another drawback is that some advanced features are locked behind paid plans, which can be limiting for students or individual users who want to explore deeper CAM or simulation capabilities. Occasional updates also change the interface slightly, which takes some time to adjust to.

And the last and most important drawback is its platform fees! Like paying 1 lakh + per year in India ,is I think can be difficult for some designers and engineers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Autodesk Fusion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Autodesk Fusion solves the problem of having to use multiple separate tools for design, testing, and manufacturing by bringing everything into one integrated platform.

From an electronics perspective, it helps in designing accurate enclosures, brackets, and mechanical parts for electronic projects such as sensor housings, control boxes, and PCB enclosures. Being able to visualize dimensions in 3D ensures that electronic components fit properly, reducing physical rework and material waste. This has helped me move from concept to a ready-to-fabricate design much faster. For general use, Fusion streamlines the entire design workflow by allowing quick modifications through parametric modeling and validating designs using basic simulation before manufacturing. This saves time, improves design accuracy, and boosts confidence before prototyping. Overall, it has made my project development process more efficient, organized, and reliable. What I really like about artificial intelligence and chat AI is how quickly it can provide useful information and help solve problems. It is available anytime and can explain complex topics in a simple way. It also helps with writing, learning new things, and improving productivity. I appreciate how interactive it feels, almost like having a knowledgeable assistant ready to help whenever I need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MicroStation?

One thing I don’t like about artificial intelligence is that it is not always perfectly accurate and sometimes gives information that needs to be double-checked. It also cannot fully understand human emotions or personal situations like a real person can. Because of that, conversations can sometimes feel less natural, and you still need human judgment when using AI tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MicroStation solving and how is that benefiting you?

MicroStation helps solve problems related to technical drawing, design accuracy, and project coordination. It allows us to create precise engineering drawings and manage complex infrastructure projects more efficiently. “Impressive 3D Visuals and Rendering Quality for Client Presentations”
What do you like best about Coohom?

I started using Coohom recently for interior design work, and my first impression was that the interface felt a little different compared to other tools I’ve used. It took me some time to understand the layout and features properly. In the beginning, I had to explore a bit before getting comfortable with the workflow. After spending some time on it, I began to appreciate the platform more. The 3D visuals and rendering quality are quite impressive, especially for client presentations. The designs look realistic and help explain concepts clearly, which is important in interior projects. Once I understood how things are organized, the process became smoother. It definitely requires a little patience at the start, but the final output makes it worthwhile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coohom?

One thing I didn’t like initially about Coohom was that the interface felt a bit overwhelming. Since the layout is different from some other design tools, it took me time to understand where certain settings and controls were located. In the beginning, this slowed down my workflow. I also felt that some features are not very intuitive at first. You sometimes have to try a few times or watch tutorials to fully understand how a specific tool works. For someone using it for the first time, that adjustment period can be slightly frustrating. Once I got used to it, things became easier, but the initial learning phase could definitely be smoother Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Coohom solving and how is that benefiting you?

As an interior designer with around two years of experience, one of the biggest challenges I face is presenting ideas clearly to clients. Many clients find it difficult to imagine a space just by looking at 2D drawings or explanations. Coohom helps solve that problem by allowing me to create proper 3D designs and realistic renders that make the concept much easier to understand. It saves me time compared to doing everything manually. I can quickly build layouts, experiment with furniture placement, and adjust materials to show different options. This makes client discussions smoother because they can visually see the changes instead of just imagining them. The designs are quite accurate to a good extent, which helps in planning and giving better quotations. Another thing that has benefited me is that Coohom works well on both laptop and mobile. Sometimes I need to quickly show a design or check a project while I’m not in the office, and it runs smoothly. That flexibility really helps in dayto day work. One feature I genuinely find very useful is the refer and earn program. It’s actually a good initiative because as designers we often connect with other designers, contractors, or students. Being able to recommend a tool that I’m already using and getting some benefit from it is a nice advantage. It feels practical, not just a marketing gimmick. For me, Coohom solves the problem of visualization, client communication, and presentation quality. It helps me create better-looking interior concepts and explain them confidently. While no software is perfect, it has definitely made my design process more efficient and professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Shapr3D?

How intuitive the program is and the fluidity in the work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

That it doesn't have so many 2D functions for creating sketches and that it allows creating lines that join on different reference planes. “Catenda - Project communication becomes comprehensible”
What do you like best about Catenda Hub?

As a BIM consultant, I accompany various projects where digital models are already well established. Nevertheless, project communication is often a major source of uncertainty. In projects where Catenda is used as a CDE, models, documents, and issues are consolidated in one place and no longer lost in mailboxes and folder structures. As an OpenBIM-based CDE, it creates a neutral interface between the CAD working environment used and project communication. Models do not need to be extracted from the familiar authoring tool, and issues can be easily viewed and tracked independently of the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Catenda Hub?

Possibly, this is also due to my limited personal use of Catenda, as I primarily know the platform from the perspective of accompanied customer projects, but Catenda does not replace a classic document management system for formal SIA or authority processes and must be supplemented in such cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Catenda Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

In construction projects, many decisions are made, but they are often not centrally recorded or later cannot be traced because they have disappeared deep in the inbox in old emails. A typical example is the choice of a product during the planning phase, such as a door. In the execution phase, the question then arises as to why exactly this product was chosen. The decision itself has been made, but the reasoning, context, or impacts are no longer transparently documented. Catenda helps to centrally record the decisions so that they remain comprehensible to all project participants and do not need to be discussed again in later project phases. It delivers all the essential 2D drafting tools with excellent compatibility for DWG/DXF files, making collaboration seamless. I also appreciate its speed, stability, and clean workspace, which help streamline daily drafting tasks without unnecessary complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DraftSight?

What I dislike about DraftSight is that some advanced features and customizations feel less polished compared to more established CAD platforms. Certain tools can be slower or less intuitive than expected, and occasional compatibility quirks appear when working with very complex DWG files. While none of these issues are deal‑breakers, they can interrupt the workflow at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DraftSight solving and how is that benefiting you?

DraftSight helps me streamline all my 2D drafting work by providing a reliable and efficient environment for creating and editing DWG files. “Navisworks Makes Clash Detection Fast and Crystal Clear”
What do you like best about Navisworks?

Navisworks excels at bringing architectural, structural, and MEP models together into a single coordinated environment, then running fast, easy-to-read clash tests that clearly flag conflicts (pipe vs. beam, duct vs. cable tray, etc.) without requiring any edits to the source files. This makes it straightforward to sort, prioritize, and report clashes early in the process, which directly helps reduce rework, RFIs, and field delays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navisworks?

Navisworks is purely a review/coordination tool, so you can’t directly fix clashes in the model; you have to switch back to Revit, AutoCAD, or your authoring software to make changes and then reload. For fast‑paced projects, this constant round‑tripping can slow down coordination and feel inefficient Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Navisworks solving and how is that benefiting you?

Navisworks mainly solves two big project‑level problems: federated model chaos and late‑discovered clashes/schedule risks, and it benefits you by turning those into early, visual, and sharable coordination outputs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Versatile Design Tool with Room for Improvement”
What do you like best about Inventor?

I like Inventor's versatility; the same model can be made in different ways, and the interchangeability of 2D drawing options with AutoCAD is great. The software helps a lot by requiring less time to make more productive work. The ability to convert AutoCAD 2D drawings into 3D models easily within Inventor is really handy. Also, the ease of creating structural designs using top-down or top-up assembly methods and having the option of generative design is impressive. The initial setup was very easy. What do you dislike about Inventor?

When I work on large assemblies, Inventor crashes suddenly, and sometimes there's no mouse movement showing. The model feature in drawings for exploded views is not working well. These issues may be resolved by upgrading the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Inventor solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Inventor to create complex 3D parametric models and drawings, resolve issues in existing designs, and easily convert AutoCAD 2D drawings to 3D. Its versatility and interchangeability save me time and enhance productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Amazing tool for construction development”
What do you like best about cmBuilder.io?

CMbuilder is great for multiple reasons:

- Great for communicating ideas for everyone involved.

- Continuously being developed and improved with features you can ask for.

- Support from the team is clear and responsive.

- Easy to use and learn from the get go, fun to experiment with.

- Takes markups to the next level by being clear and in 3D.

- A wide range of resources and features you can add to make your site more detailed or come to life.

- Implements well with DroneDeploy, Revit models look good and work well.

- Mocking something up for a workshop is great for everyone to look at and consider things not thought about before with a 2D Markup, also good to snapshot images for site engineers to show workers, travel routes for truck drivers to deliver materials, for shareholders and owners to comprehend easier among many other use cases. What do you dislike about cmBuilder.io?

There are some improvements that can be made to CMBuilder:

- Fair warning to anyone with poor internet or hardware, it may not function as well (CMBuilder is online so internet is required with good speed, the more you add the more pressure it applies to your PC, so make sure you have a good work laptop).

- Most features people would like are currently being worked on, (eg. multiple people working on one project, animation, visual change, etc.) these features are complicated to create, so please give them some time.

- The higher the tier for subscription, the more you will get out of the program. One of the most vital features (requesting resources in a quick turnover time) is locked to the highest subscription, which might be difficult for some people/companies to pay for as it can be a bit pricey if you want this subscription plus more project space. Keep this in mind and try to get as many people involved in the company so the higher subscription has better value for your company! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is cmBuilder.io solving and how is that benefiting you?

CMBuilder is making meetings easier and helps people communicate better with each other thanks to seeing things in 3D. Visually, people understand 3D easier than a markup to every type of person on the job. We have been able to problem solve issues with some of the markups we could have missed in real life along with discuss important ideas we hadn't thought of thanks to being able to see the environment in a new way. Clients enjoy the visual aid in presentations and discussions as well. Things can be changed on the fly and CMBuilder makes it easy to develop these aspects of the job.
