“Dynamic Collaboration Tool with Stellar Speed”
What do you like best about Revizto?

I like how Revizto doesn't force me into a single way of doing things. There are multiple avenues to go down for a single solution, which makes it really helpful to address various issues. It's a wide dynamic tool, allowing us to make adjustments on the fly and develop new workflows as we go. It's also really cool within our team since having multiple people using the same program means we can share ideas and different workflows, bouncing ideas back and forth, which is super helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revizto?

I don't like that the measurement tool only allows one measurement. It would be awesome if you could have multiple measurements coming off of one measurement in the same view. Just having that single view option is a bummer. One other area would be the Procore integration. Right now, to my knowledge, it only connects to Procore documents. It would be really nice if we were able to plug it directly into the Procore drawings rather than the documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Revizto solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Revizto to streamline all of our MEP trade models into one space and keep clash detection, model organization, and issue tracking organized. It's a clean workspace for our projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Seamless Switch from AUTODESK with Great Pricing and Excellent Support”
What do you like best about ZWCAD?

It's a seemless transition from AUTODESK and they have very good pricing as I do not need all the rubbish autodesk bundle with the software. The straight purchase option is perfect as I do not like subscription models at all and have changed a lot of my company stuff to other vendors because of this.

I need a basic 2D drawing programme and this far exceeds what I need in usability and features with a very well designed interface.

The client support and interaction has to date been amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ZWCAD?

Not found any negatives thus far and I have really tried to break it by opening all CAD versions I have going back 20 years on some multi level buildings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ZWCAD solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cost of the software was a huge factor as I can get the package for a once off budgetary amount and not have to keep paying forever. It allows me to service my clients with a professional item. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Efficient Keyboard Commands, but AutoCAD Feels Bloated and Slow to Load”
What do you like best about AutoCAD?

The keyboard commands. The proper way to work in AutoCAD is with one hand on the mouse and the other hovering over the keyboard to enter one and two letter commands. Very efficient if you know what you're doing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AutoCAD?

The bloatware aspect of it. AutoDesk never takes anything out of AutoCAD, just adds new stuff on top of existing. It definitely slows down load time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AutoCAD solving and how is that benefiting you?

As the default 2D drafting program, the DWG format is largely convertible for import into other programs. As a more limited in scope and capability program than BIM programs likes like Revit, the basic elements of the program can be taught with relative ease. In one case, I taught the secretary at a local contractor's office to do AutoCAD for the backyard decks that were his specialty. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Transforms Architectural Workflow with 3D Precision”
What do you like best about Revit?

I like that building a 3D model enables you to generate relevant views from the model and that they are live updated when changes to the model occur. I appreciate that I can visualize any part of a project with the model, which helps clarify where critical drawings or views will support the client and contractors' understanding of the design intent. It's beneficial that drawings are all live updated when the model changes, helping to avoid missing updates that would have to be made manually if using a 2D CAD system. I like that the 3D model and documents are one in the same. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revit?

I wish there was a better library of included hatch patterns and materials. I find that material rendering is something I have to spend much more time than I'd like to enable accurate rendering outputs. Certain materials are difficult to rotate, particularly if they are a part of a component, rather than 'painted' into the model. The material and hatch library just feel very limited, which requires trying to custom generate or find other materials to bring in which can get messy. Creating your own templates and knowing how to customize certain features to create useful outputs/data within a model can get very complicated if you're not quite savvy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?

I like that building a 3D model in Revit enables me to generate relevant views that are live-updated with model changes, avoiding manual updates required by 2D CAD systems. This helps clarify design intent for clients and contractors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Simulation-Driven Digital Twin Design with Solid Edge + FLOEFD”
What do you like best about Designcenter Solid Edge?

We use Siemens Solid Edge as the backbone of our product and factory development lifecycle, from concept through to commissioning. All machinery layouts, custom equipment designs, and factory expansion models are developed in Solid Edge, allowing us to rapidly iterate designs, validate fit within real-world constraints, and maintain a single, accurate digital representation of our production environment.

By integrating Simcenter FLOEFD directly within Solid Edge, we move beyond traditional CAD into simulation-driven design. We actively simulate airflow, temperature distribution, and humidity behaviour across our processing and packaging environments—critical for drying performance, product consistency, and hygiene compliance. This enables us to identify issues such as condensation risk, airflow inefficiencies, and thermal inconsistencies before physical implementation.

The value this delivers is substantial:

Reduced risk: Problems are identified and solved digitally before capital is committed or equipment is installed.

Faster decision-making: Design iterations that would take weeks physically are completed in hours.

Optimised performance: Equipment and facility layouts are engineered for real operating conditions, not assumptions.

Cost efficiency: Minimises rework, avoids overdesign, and improves ROI on major capital investments.

Scalable digital foundation: As we expand, our full factory exists as a validated digital twin, supporting future automation, upgrades, and process optimisation.

In short, Solid Edge combined with FLOEFD allows us to design smarter, de-risk faster, and execute expansion projects with a level of confidence and precision that would not be achievable with CAD alone.

The UI has been greatly improved in its feel and operation. Making it more modern and user friendly. Really happy about the dark mode addition as well.

In overall the performance has improved on the operation of the software. Enjoying the performance mode it has to offer.

Pricing is ok but feel like better options and bundles should be created to allow for adding more employees easier.

The Siemens Academy use to be the go to but needs more work done, cannot wait for the revamp to be completed. There are tons of resources online that are helpful when required.

New AI features are really helpful for speeding up daily use!

Keep adding more please! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter Solid Edge?

It really is a one of a kind Digital creation software that can be used in all industries globally. Its hard to dislike since it is so versatile and adaptable. But if I had to choose something, maybe not utilizing enough multi core threading would be one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Designcenter Solid Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?

Being able to create anything I can think of, like my imagination would be the limitation and not the software. Thinking outside the box is needed for my career and I know that Solid Edge is standing ready to make it a reality! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Edificius, beyond BIM”
What do you like best about Edificius?

Edificius is not just a BIM software, it is a true ally for both architectural, structural, and energy studies. Extremely easy to use, powerful in the realization of projects of all kinds. One of the strengths, for me, lies in the instant update of every drawing (from the plan to the elevation to the section to the axonometry) following even the slightest change of any element, saving me hours of work compared to the classic two-dimensional project on CAD. The customer support is also truly excellent with competent staff. I couldn't do without it anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Edificius?

I don't think there is anything useless. Of course, like all the best software, there are always some improvements that could be made. Specifically, I would like to be able to manage free tables with cells that perform calculations or, at the very least, integrate OLE objects (like an Excel table or a Word text). Finally, the management of images could be improved by allowing cropping. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Edificius solving and how is that benefiting you?

Edificius allows for a truly impressive time saving, both for its use in itself and for the interchangeability of work with energy and structural software, not to mention with the computation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MicroStation?

What I really like about artificial intelligence and chat AI is how quickly it can provide useful information and help solve problems. It is available anytime and can explain complex topics in a simple way. It also helps with writing, learning new things, and improving productivity. I appreciate how interactive it feels, almost like having a knowledgeable assistant ready to help whenever I need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MicroStation?

One thing I don’t like about artificial intelligence is that it is not always perfectly accurate and sometimes gives information that needs to be double-checked. It also cannot fully understand human emotions or personal situations like a real person can. Because of that, conversations can sometimes feel less natural, and you still need human judgment when using AI tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MicroStation solving and how is that benefiting you?

MicroStation helps solve problems related to technical drawing, design accuracy, and project coordination. It allows us to create precise engineering drawings and manage complex infrastructure projects more efficiently. By using MicroStation, we reduce errors, improve collaboration between team members, and save time during the design and documentation process. “Impressive 3D Visuals and Rendering Quality for Client Presentations”
What do you like best about Coohom?

I started using Coohom recently for interior design work, and my first impression was that the interface felt a little different compared to other tools I’ve used. It took me some time to understand the layout and features properly. In the beginning, I had to explore a bit before getting comfortable with the workflow. After spending some time on it, I began to appreciate the platform more. The 3D visuals and rendering quality are quite impressive, especially for client presentations. The designs look realistic and help explain concepts clearly, which is important in interior projects. Once I understood how things are organized, the process became smoother. It definitely requires a little patience at the start, but the final output makes it worthwhile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coohom?

One thing I didn’t like initially about Coohom was that the interface felt a bit overwhelming. Since the layout is different from some other design tools, it took me time to understand where certain settings and controls were located. In the beginning, this slowed down my workflow. I also felt that some features are not very intuitive at first. You sometimes have to try a few times or watch tutorials to fully understand how a specific tool works. For someone using it for the first time, that adjustment period can be slightly frustrating. Once I got used to it, things became easier, but the initial learning phase could definitely be smoother Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Coohom solving and how is that benefiting you?

As an interior designer with around two years of experience, one of the biggest challenges I face is presenting ideas clearly to clients. Many clients find it difficult to imagine a space just by looking at 2D drawings or explanations. Coohom helps solve that problem by allowing me to create proper 3D designs and realistic renders that make the concept much easier to understand. It saves me time compared to doing everything manually. I can quickly build layouts, experiment with furniture placement, and adjust materials to show different options. This makes client discussions smoother because they can visually see the changes instead of just imagining them. The designs are quite accurate to a good extent, which helps in planning and giving better quotations. Another thing that has benefited me is that Coohom works well on both laptop and mobile. Sometimes I need to quickly show a design or check a project while I’m not in the office, and it runs smoothly. That flexibility really helps in dayto day work. One feature I genuinely find very useful is the refer and earn program. It’s actually a good initiative because as designers we often connect with other designers, contractors, or students. Being able to recommend a tool that I’m already using and getting some benefit from it is a nice advantage. It feels practical, not just a marketing gimmick. For me, Coohom solves the problem of visualization, client communication, and presentation quality. It helps me create better-looking interior concepts and explain them confidently. While no software is perfect, it has definitely made my design process more efficient and professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Catenda - Project communication becomes comprehensible”
What do you like best about Catenda Hub?

As a BIM consultant, I accompany various projects where digital models are already well established. Nevertheless, project communication is often a major source of uncertainty. In projects where Catenda is used as a CDE, models, documents, and issues are consolidated in one place and no longer lost in mailboxes and folder structures. As an OpenBIM-based CDE, it creates a neutral interface between the CAD working environment used and project communication. Models do not need to be extracted from the familiar authoring tool, and issues can be easily viewed and tracked independently of the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Catenda Hub?

Possibly, this is also due to my limited personal use of Catenda, as I primarily know the platform from the perspective of accompanied customer projects, but Catenda does not replace a classic document management system for formal SIA or authority processes and must be supplemented in such cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Catenda Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

In construction projects, many decisions are made, but they are often not centrally recorded or later cannot be traced because they have disappeared deep in the inbox in old emails. A typical example is the choice of a product during the planning phase, such as a door. In the execution phase, the question then arises as to why exactly this product was chosen. The decision itself has been made, but the reasoning, context, or impacts are no longer transparently documented. Catenda helps to centrally record the decisions so that they remain comprehensible to all project participants and do not need to be discussed again in later project phases. They are listening to feedback and have setup a developer road map webpage where they have shown the steps and tools that they are improving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vectorworks Architect?

The push for new features has sadly meant that existing tools have not had the right amount of development which has meant that they are lacking with customisation features. There are some tools that had some development and the developer has clearly made improvements, however the consistant tools that are being used for years have not been improved and still need to be looked at. What problems is Vectorworks Architect solving and how is that benefiting you?

They are addressing feedback when it comes to Revit collaboration. We have seen throughout the years a decent advancement when importing Revit files and seeing improvements in converting Revit parametric objects to Vectorworks equivalent parametric objects. “cmBuilder is a phenomenal tool, supported by an even better team.”
What do you like best about cmBuilder.io?

cmBuilder is an extremely good medium to communicate what is happening when on site to anyone. I have used it in precontract tender planning and sequencing, traffic management and logistical plans, and for construction planning and space proofing.

My favourite use to date was to use cmBuilder as a communication tool to demonstrate to our client and the city council the progressive opening of a public river walkway which is a part of our project.

The user interface is well thought out and very intuitive to use, I have gotten many Project Engineers and Site Managers started in cmBuilder who had very little BIM experience prior, and they are all loving the tool and especially the resource library.

Finally, the cmBuilder Team, I have not received the same level of support and communication from any other software vendor. cmBuilder is a phenomenal tool, supported by an even better team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about cmBuilder.io?

In the interests of being completely honest and transparent, there are times where I am on a slow network and cmBuilder has a bit of lag, that is not their fault at all, it is just an occasional frustration. I cannot fault the cmBuilder platform in any way, I genuinely enjoy using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is cmBuilder.io solving and how is that benefiting you?

cmBuilder are constantly taking industry feedback and improving the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“PCB Design with Altium”
What do you like best about Altium Develop?

Lots of features. Most of these do in turn have a sharp learning curve, however once they are mastered it makes designing a board very streamlined. For example, when working with a schematic and creating a PCB, being able to highlight specific groups of components and then locate them on the PCB is huge timesaver and helps with board layout. What do you dislike about Altium Develop?

The only issues I have ran into so far are crashes and the autosave function failing. At times, it will freeze up randomly even if there was no input into the program. Additionally, the autosave feature is not the greatest, as it doesn't always reconnect to the host server. I actually lost a small amount of work from yesterday due to this. What problems is Altium Develop solving and how is that benefiting you?

Altium allows me and my company to streamline our development process and integrate multiple different designs and boards in one program. Previously, we were using KiCad which didn't allow for multiboard design. Now, we are able to work with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
