“Revizto, not Revitzo”
What do you like best about Revizto?

Revizto has become an essential part of my daily workflow, effectively bridging the gap between our office design teams and the field. What I appreciate most is how it brings everything together into a single, reliable source of truth; the coordination and issue management tools are incredibly intuitive, allowing us to track clashes and design queries directly within the model rather than relying on endless, disconnected reports. Even when we are working with massive, complex datasets, the platform remains remarkably fast and stable, which is a huge relief during crunch time. Perhaps most importantly, their support team actually understands the AECO industry, so when we do hit a snag, I’m not just talking to someone reading from a script—I’m getting practical, workflow-focused help that gets us back on track immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revizto?

Integration with a mobile pad would be great. The pricing should definitely be reviewed, and allowing a bridge process across different projects—especially during construction phases—would be awesome. I’m also hoping a layer of intelligence can be added to the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Revizto solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps lower risks by providing a smoother, more interoperable platform for coordination. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Streamlining technical drawings with a familiar CAD environment”
What do you like best about ZWCAD?

What I like best about ZWCAD is that it is easy to use and works well with DWG files. As a Senior Project Engineer, I use it for reviewing and editing 2D engineering drawings, layouts, and manufacturing documents. The interface feels familiar, so there is very little learning curve. It opens large drawings quickly and runs smoothly even on standard office computers. It helps me make drawing revisions faster and collaborate easily with suppliers and team members without file compatibility issues. The pricing is also reasonable compared to some other CAD software, making it a practical choice for everyday engineering work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ZWCAD?

There are a few areas that could be improved. Occasionally, when working with larger complex drawings, the software may experience slight performance slowdowns. Additionally, some advanced features and customization options are more expensive, as those available in more established CAD platforms. It includes integration with other design tools and enhanced support for advanced 3D functionalities to further strengthen the overall user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ZWCAD solving and how is that benefiting you?

ZWCAD helps me create, edit, and review engineering drawings without compatibility issues. In my role as a Senior Project Engineer, I often work with supplier drawings, manufacturing layouts, and project documentation. “Revit’s Connected Model Makes BIM Coordination Fast and Error-Free”
What do you like best about Revit?

The strongest part of Revit is that everything is connected in a single model. Any change made in 3D automatically updates across plans, sections, and schedules. This saves a lot of time and reduces errors. It also makes BIM coordination much easier because the entire project can be managed in one place instead of multiple separate files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revit?

The main drawback is that Revit can become slow and heavy when working on large projects. It also has a steep learning curve, so it takes time for beginners to get comfortable with its workflow. Another issue is file compatibility, as different versions cannot always be easily opened or downgraded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?

Revit solves the issue of disconnected drawings and poor coordination between disciplines. Since everything is linked in one model, updates are automatic and errors are reduced. This helps improve workflow efficiency, enhances team collaboration, and ensures more accurate project delivery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Good CAD Tool, but very many random Bugs & slow Teamcenter integration”
What do you like best about Designcenter Solid Edge?

Solid Edge is in general a good tool to create parts and assemblies. Im working since 2003 with this application. We have in general all functionality, to finish our tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter Solid Edge?

Really sorry to say this, but in recent years, the problems are getting bigger and bigger. :-( We constantly have random errors every day where functions in Solid Edge don't work as they should. And Solid Edge crashes very often without being able to save. And worst of all: 85% of the tickets we report are closed by Siemens, without being investigated because all the errors appear per random and cannot be reproduced. Since 10 years they tell us: The crashes will be fixed with next version, but its never finished. Solid Edge work stable on few small parts, but risk to crash increase massive when working with large assemblies or with more than 5 parts open. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“SketchUp Makes 3D Modeling Fast, Approachable, and Easy to Present”
What do you like best about SketchUp?

SketchUp makes 3D modeling feel approachable, even for users who are not professional designers. The interface is straightforward, and creating concepts or visualizing ideas is much faster than with many other design tools. It is especially useful for quickly building models, testing layouts, and presenting ideas in a way that is easy to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SketchUp?

Some advanced modeling and rendering tasks can feel limited without additional plugins or external tools. When working on more detailed projects, performance can occasionally slow down, especially with larger models. The basics are easy to learn, but certain advanced workflows take time to master and may require extra setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SketchUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

SketchUp solves the challenge of turning ideas, concepts, and measurements into clear 3D visualizations. Instead of relying on sketches or trying to explain a design with words alone, it allows projects to be modeled and viewed from different angles before any real work begins. This helps identify potential issues early and makes ideas easier to communicate. For me, the biggest benefit is being able to visualize layouts, designs, and concepts quickly without spending excessive time on complex software. It makes planning more efficient, improves collaboration when sharing ideas with others, and reduces guesswork during the design process. Being able to see a project in 3D before moving forward helps save time and leads to better decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Essential for Architectural Design in BIM”
What do you like best about Edificius?

I really like the BIM principle on which Edificius works. It allows for the creation of a unique model around which all project disciplines revolve, making the work systematic and very precise. I also appreciate how it automatically creates drawings from the plans, generating everything else automatically. Furthermore, I find it perfect for the calculation of metric estimates, as it links the three-dimensional structures to the price list items and modifies them automatically. Finally, I found it very easy to configure initially. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Edificius?

Some details should be improved: for example, there is no function that allows setting a preferred font throughout the program. If I write with a leader or insert a title block, I have to modify and set my preferences each time. I would also like more integration between Edificius and Termus: the model imported into Termus does not automatically update based on changes made in Edificius, and this is limiting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Edificius solving and how is that benefiting you?

Edificius automatically creates drawings from floor plans and perfects the calculation of metric estimates by linking them to price list items. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The clean interface and overall ease of use make it very straightforward to get started without any formal training. The drag-and-drop toolset runs smoothly, and the native cloud storage options built in let us save schematic layouts directly into our shared folders without hassle. Overall, it takes a lot of friction out of our team’s day-to-day collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartDraw?

Honestly, I haven’t run into any major downsides or frustrating bugs in our day-to-day use. If I had to point out something minor, it’s that the sheer number of specialized template categories can sometimes feel a little overwhelming to sift through when you’re simply trying to find a straightforward, standard layout. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SmartDraw solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our team regularly faces complex diagramming needs that standard office tools simply couldn’t handle efficiently. This tool gives us the right custom framework to map specialized technical workflows and content sequences, and it has significantly improved our overall productivity. It’s also made it much easier to present clear, visual project plans to our stakeholders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Autodesk Fusion Streamlines Parametric 3D Design from Idea to Prototype”
What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion?

Autodesk Fusion makes it much easier to move from an idea to a finished 3D design without switching between different applications. I mainly use it for parametric modeling, simple assemblies, and preparing designs for prototyping. The timeline feature is especially useful because changing dimensions later automatically updates the model, which saves a lot of time during revisions. The interface feels organized, and once you become familiar with the workspace, everyday design tasks become much more efficient. Having CAD, basic simulation, and manufacturing tools in one platform helps keep the workflow simple and reduces the need to export files between different software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion?

The software depends quite a bit on a stable internet connection for cloud features, and larger assemblies can sometimes feel slower on mid-range hardware. Frequent interface updates also take a little time to get used to, especially when commonly used tools are moved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Autodesk Fusion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Fusion helps reduce the time required to create, modify, and prepare 3D models for prototyping. Parametric modeling makes design changes much easier because I don't have to rebuild parts from scratch after every revision. What do you like best about cmBuilder.io?

CMbuilder is great for multiple reasons:

- Great for communicating ideas for everyone involved.

- Continuously being developed and improved with features you can ask for.

- Support from the team is clear and responsive.

- Easy to use and learn from the get go, fun to experiment with.

- Takes markups to the next level by being clear and in 3D.

- A wide range of resources and features you can add to make your site more detailed or come to life.

- Implements well with DroneDeploy, Revit models look good and work well.

- Mocking something up for a workshop is great for everyone to look at and consider things not thought about before with a 2D Markup, also good to snapshot images for site engineers to show workers, travel routes for truck drivers to deliver materials, for shareholders and owners to comprehend easier among many other use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about cmBuilder.io?

There are some improvements that can be made to CMBuilder:

- Fair warning to anyone with poor internet or hardware, it may not function as well (CMBuilder is online so internet is required with good speed, the more you add the more pressure it applies to your PC, so make sure you have a good work laptop).

- Most features people would like are currently being worked on, (eg. multiple people working on one project, animation, visual change, etc.) these features are complicated to create, so please give them some time.

- The higher the tier for subscription, the more you will get out of the program. One of the most vital features (requesting resources in a quick turnover time) is locked to the highest subscription, which might be difficult for some people/companies to pay for as it can be a bit pricey if you want this subscription plus more project space. Keep this in mind and try to get as many people involved in the company so the higher subscription has better value for your company! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is cmBuilder.io solving and how is that benefiting you?

CMBuilder is making meetings easier and helps people communicate better with each other thanks to seeing things in 3D. Visually, people understand 3D easier than a markup to every type of person on the job. We have been able to problem solve issues with some of the markups we could have missed in real life along with discuss important ideas we hadn't thought of thanks to being able to see the environment in a new way. Clients enjoy the visual aid in presentations and discussions as well. Things can be changed on the fly and CMBuilder makes it easy to develop these aspects of the job. “Navisworks Makes Clash Detection Fast and Crystal Clear”
What do you like best about Navisworks?

Navisworks excels at bringing architectural, structural, and MEP models together into a single coordinated environment, then running fast, easy-to-read clash tests that clearly flag conflicts (pipe vs. beam, duct vs. cable tray, etc.) without requiring any edits to the source files. This makes it straightforward to sort, prioritize, and report clashes early in the process, which directly helps reduce rework, RFIs, and field delays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navisworks?

Navisworks is purely a review/coordination tool, so you can’t directly fix clashes in the model; you have to switch back to Revit, AutoCAD, or your authoring software to make changes and then reload. For fast‑paced projects, this constant round‑tripping can slow down coordination and feel inefficient Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Navisworks solving and how is that benefiting you?

What problems is DraftSight solving and how is that benefiting you?

Draftsight helps me create mechanical, civil, and architectural drawings. It also helps me visualize DWGs and other CAD formats from clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Best choice for small teams”
What do you like best about Altium Develop?

We can create small discussions inside the schematic. All team member can access the modifications immediately online. Also, the port-jump function is very useful for large designs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Altium Develop?

The web UI is a little bit slow. Also, would be very useful to have a function to migrate altium 365 projects to standard git repositiries. The GUI scaling is a littl bit sluggish on 2560x1600 with 120dpi (96 dpi 1080p and 4k with 200dpi works like a charm) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Altium Develop solving and how is that benefiting you?

Collaboration with my multi-location teams. From mechanical engineering to firmware developers.

It saves time to us and it helps in the bugfixing process, in the review process, in the board bring-up process.

The BOMdoc manager is a must have tool now for me. Quick price calculation and BOM export per distributor saved us a lot of time during the chip shortage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
