The major plus is one can actually own the application vs. paying for a subscription. **What do you dislike about Ares Commander?** Nothing that I can think of, I have been 100% satisfied with the feature set and performance. **Recommendations to others considering Ares Commander:** Give it a try, it is the base CAD engine for Draftsight as well as CorelCAD, probably many others. **What problems is Ares Commander solving and how is that benefiting you?** I do 2D simple drawings used in designing conceptual layouts in the material handling industry. Most of my customers are not versed in CAD so I typically just send them a PDF of the layout. It's a very stable product with all the features that one would expect from a cad program along with some that you would not. **What do you dislike about Ares Commander?** Overall I have very few issues with Ares, it's a good program with great support. I guess I would like more customization of colors in the user interface settings rather than just light and dark. I use certain buttons often and changing the color of them might be helpful for locating them quicker. **Recommendations to others considering Ares Commander:** It's a good program that is in line with other programs of it's type........easy to learn and very little retraining time **What problems is Ares Commander solving and how is that benefiting you?** For my small business its a great savings over the other programs that are available. This is important since I also use another product that's very costly, having a good cad program to deal with basic cad drawings has proved invaluable. ### 19.
