“Why Procore is an Estimator’s Best Friend”
What do you like best about Procore?

Procore is an excellent, user-friendly platform that centralizes our entire preconstruction process. The biggest upside for my daily estimating work is having contractor directories, active project bids, and all associated documents completely organized in one single space. I do not have to worry I am bidding from an outdated set of plans. Because it is an industry standard, most of our partners and contractors already use it, which makes collaboration seamless. I also recently completed an estimating certification and was impressed to discover even more hidden features and tools Procore offers that will continue to improve our workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Procore?

I would say the one downside of Procore is that its effectiveness relies entirely on 100% user adoption across the board. While many of our industry partners use it, some contractors, subcontractors or vendors resist using the platform altogether. When a subcontractor refuses to submit their bid or documents through the portal, it forces us to manually bridge the gap, which temporarily defeats the purpose of having a single automated system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Procore solving and how is that benefiting you?

How it benefits me in my day to day estimating is the centralized contractor directories, open project bids, and blueprints are in one single cloud-based repository. I don't have to waste my time hunting through different folders, emails, or internal servers. Everything I need to price a project is instantly accessible in one space. The other great benefit to an estimator is I know I am not bidding from outdated plans. We all know there are going to revisions and updated drawings and there is nothing worse than sending in your bid on what you thought were the latest plans. Procore syncs the latest drawing sets, RFIs, and addendums in real-time, instantly notifying all parties of revisions which is a huge asset for eliminating financial risk and preventing costly mistakes before a project even kicks off. “Easy-to-Track AIA Invoicing and Straightforward Pay App Submissions”
What do you like best about GCPay?

GCPay helps us keep AIA invoicing up to date and easy to track. Pay applications can be submitted either through the software or by email as a PDF, which keeps the process straightforward and easy to follow.

Support is always quick to respond, and the software integrates easily with our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GCPay?

It would be helpful to be able to edit items that have been approved but not yet sent. For example, a change order might be approved but still need additional information once it’s viewed in the pay app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?

GCPay shows all open projects along with the most recently submitted pay apps, which makes it much easier to stay organized and manage projects efficiently. Before using GCPay, we spent a lot of time each month just confirming which pay app had actually been submitted. Now that information is clear at a glance, saving us time and helping keep customer payments moving, so the pricing feels justified. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Methvin Unifies Estimating and Project Management with Strong Collaboration”
What do you like best about Methvin?

Methvin brings together a practical mix of estimating and project management tools in one place. Its first-principles costing approach gives teams a more detailed way to build estimates around labor, plant, and materials, instead of relying solely on historical figures. I also appreciate the collaboration features; having shared project information makes it easier to keep teams aligned and maintain consistency. The takeoff, scheduling, and job-costing capabilities add helpful visibility beyond the initial tender and support the project as it progresses. Methvin works well as a central platform alongside existing project and business tools. It helps keep estimating, scheduling, costing, and tender information organized without requiring teams to constantly switch between systems. The integration experience could be improved further with broader plug-and-play connections and simpler data transfer options for organizations using a larger technology stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Methvin?

There is a bit of a learning curve when first getting familiar with the platform, especially for users transitioning from spreadsheet-based processes. Some features may also need initial configuration to better align with established workflows and internal practices. More flexible pricing options would help make the platform more accessible for smaller organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Methvin solving and how is that benefiting you?

Methvin is a solid choice for teams that want more control over estimating and managing project costs. Its mix of detailed costing tools, collaboration features, scheduling, and reporting delivers strong overall value. Although onboarding can take a bit of time, the wider set of capabilities can make the investment worthwhile for organizations that use the platform throughout the full project lifecycle. “Accurate Construction Estimates with Real-World Pricing”
What do you like best about Handoff?

The system is built around estimates, SOWs, and general chat related to the construction industry. I like how it looks for real-world pricing through Home Depot and allows users to put in their own variables like markups or taxes. The estimates themselves are only as good as your description of the job, so if you're on-point with your description, SOW, and plans it's within the 90th percentile on being correct normally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Handoff?

The only downside is on more complicated jobs the system tends to be all over the place. Breaking down complex projects with multiple SOWs resolves a lot of this, but you have to be very watchful of it's pricing as sometimes it can come in very high or very low. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Handoff solving and how is that benefiting you?

Building out estimates and materials lists with a direct export options to CSV so I can directly import them into our CRM is a huge timesaver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“A Connected Platform That Improves Construction Project Collaboration and Control”
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

What I like best about Autodesk Forma is that it supports many important aspects of the project lifecycle in one connected platform, from early planning and design coordination to document control, field collaboration, and project tracking. It helps teams stay organized by keeping key project information, drawings, models, updates, and communication in a central place, which reduces the need to search through multiple systems or email threads. I also value how it improves visibility across the team, making it easier to understand project status, review changes, coordinate with different stakeholders, and make better decisions. The platform supports collaboration between office and field teams, improves accountability, and helps reduce confusion caused by outdated or scattered information. Overall, it adds value by making construction workflows more efficient, transparent, and easier to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

What I dislike about Autodesk Forma is that it can feel overwhelming at times because the platform has many tools, features, and workflows built into one system. For new users, there can be a learning curve, especially when trying to understand where certain information is stored or how different modules connect with each other. Some processes may also take extra clicks compared to a simpler tool, and performance can sometimes depend on internet connectivity or how large the project files are. That said, these challenges are manageable once the team becomes familiar with the platform and sets up clear project standards. Overall, the benefits are strong, but the user experience could be improved with simpler navigation, faster loading, and more intuitive workflows for everyday tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Autodesk Forma is solving several common problems in construction project management, especially around disconnected information, communication gaps, document control, coordination, and visibility. It helps bring drawings, models, RFIs, submittals, issues, photos, schedules, and project communication into one connected platform, which reduces the need to search through emails, shared folders, or multiple separate systems. This benefits me by making it easier to access the latest information, track project status, coordinate with different stakeholders, and make decisions with more confidence. It also helps reduce the risk of working from outdated drawings, improves accountability by clearly assigning and tracking action items, and supports better collaboration between office and field teams. Overall, it saves time, keeps the project more organized, improves transparency, and helps the team manage day-to-day work more efficiently from planning through execution. “Easy-to-Use Takeoff Tools and Real-Time Estimating That Streamline Work”
What do you like best about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

I like the ease of use and takeoff tools that help reduce the time spent on takeoffs. The estimate feature has great potential for our company we are creating assemblies and pricing to streamline our estimating process. I enjoy the real time view added recently that shows updates to the estimate as you progress through the takeoff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

The trainings, I would find more value if there were industry related trainings on conducting takeoffs, building assemblies, and estimates. The cost is slightly high and would find more value if we were able to pay for a license that covered multiple users. Another pain/dislike is the linear with drop feature specifically when your ending your measurement the double click adds the drop and when you try to correct it most of the time you will delete the entire measurement and have to start over. Very frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is STACK Takeoff & Estimate solving and how is that benefiting you?

Time management is the major problem being solved. With the features this program has I am able to preform multiple takeoffs in a day. Adding the Estimating feature is a time saver as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“JobTread: Built for Contractors, Backed by Exceptional Customer Success”
What do you like best about JobTread?

JobTread combines a strong construction-focused platform with one of the best customer-success experiences I’ve encountered.

As part of a review of our entire software stack, I contacted each of our vendors, and JobTread was by far the easiest partner to work with. Our Customer Success Manager, Wilson Whitehead, is clearly identified in the platform with his direct phone number, email, and frequently available Office Hours. Instead of navigating bots or generic support queues, we know exactly who supports our account.

The platform itself also fits our irrigation business naturally. Customers, estimates, jobs, scheduling, documentation, invoicing, and payments can all live within one connected operational system. It was clearly designed around how contractors actually work rather than forcing us into a generic CRM structure.

The more we improve our processes, the more reasons we find to use JobTread - not work around it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JobTread?

There really isn’t anything I dislike about JobTread at this point. The biggest challenge is that getting the full value from the platform requires some investment in your own processes.

JobTread is easy to get started with, but it has a lot of depth. If you want it to become the operational hub of your business rather than simply another piece of software, you need to spend time thinking through your workflows, configuring the system, and learning what it can do.

For us, that has actually been a positive challenge. We continue to discover capabilities we haven’t tapped into yet, and JobTread provides excellent training resources and direct access to our CSM to help us get there.

So my “dislike” is really the tradeoff that comes with having a platform capable of doing a lot: the more you want from it, the more intentional you need to be about implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is JobTread solving and how is that benefiting you?

JobTread is helping us solve one of the biggest challenges in our business: keeping the entire customer and job journey connected instead of spread across different tools, spreadsheets, and processes.

We are using JobTread as our single source of truth for customer information and job operations. It gives us one place to manage customers, opportunities, estimates, jobs, scheduling, documentation, invoicing, and payments.

It also lets us use specialized tools without creating competing systems. For example, HighLevel can handle our shared phone number, texting, and marketing campaigns, while JobTread remains the authoritative record for the customer and the work being performed.

Another major benefit is visibility. We are moving away from older processes where customer follow-up could live on separate boards or depend too heavily on someone remembering the next step. JobTread gives us a much stronger foundation for building repeatable workflows and ensuring opportunities, estimates, jobs, invoices, and payments don't get lost between systems.

For a growing irrigation business, that means less administrative friction, better customer follow-up, clearer accountability, and a platform we can continue building around as our processes mature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What stands out most about Briq is how it centralizes all financial data into one platform. Instead of juggling spreadsheets and disconnected tools, we can manage budgeting, forecasting, and actual spend in real time. The automation features saves a lot of time on repetitive financial tasks, and the dashboards provides clear visibility into project performance. It's especially helpful when managing multiple projects simultaneously because everything stays aligned as transparent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about briq?

The onboarding process can be a bit demanding, especially if your company doesn't already have structured financial software. Some features could be more intuitive, and integrations with older system may require extra effort during setup Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is briq solving and how is that benefiting you?

Briq helps eliminate the chaos of fragmented financial data across different systems and spreadsheets. “Sargent Project Accounting Review”
What do you like best about HCSS?

Time and Production Tracking are massive assets to our company's utilization. A seamless integration with our ERP system makes this function extremely well. Cloud based product availability over clunky Remote Desktop functions have also been great. We appreciate their desire to improve their product as well while dabbling in AI. That feature isn't quite there yet for our liking, but have no doubts it will get there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HCSS?

Not necessarily any downsides, but having the ability to roll some features from a loved product like Heavy Job Desktop over to Heavy Job Web would help ease any sort of field frustration with our conversion. Production Planner's return to Web, and not just the Field App, would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a large consumer of HCSS products, they're currently helping us with solutions beginning at bid time on the Estimating front. They're helping us with weekly time and production tracking throughout the duration of our projects. They're allowing us to track subcontractors. We use this to monitor our Equipment through E360 and Telematics. I see a future in us utilizing the Resource Planner as well and doing Performance Review.s. Ease of use and speed. Togal helps me navigate through documents in a fraction of the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Togal.AI?

Library functionality. I wish I could easily import my assembly library, and I also wish the selector were more useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Togal.AI solving and how is that benefiting you?

I currently use Togal for takeoff, but it would be a game changer if Togal let me import my own library of about 4,000 assemblies and made it easy to navigate while I’m doing a takeoff. Also, when I enter new takeoff items that aren’t already in the library, being able to save them for the next estimate would be another big upside.

I’m developing an AI estimating software based on my own database, so if I could export my Togal takeoff (which is mostly made up of my own assemblies), the estimate output could be automatic instead of requiring the manual entry I currently do in Accubid/Mccormick or Conest. “UDA Construction Online Keeps the Entire Construction Workflow in One Place”
What do you like best about UDA ConstructionOnline?

What stands out the most about UDA Construction Online is how much it tries to keep the entire construction workflow in one system instead of making contractor's bounce between separate apps for estimating, scheduling, budgeting, communication, and field reporting Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UDA ConstructionOnline?

While UDA ConstructionOnline has useful project management features, I find the interface can be cumbersome and not always intuitive. Certain tasks require multiple steps to complete, which can slow down workflow. Reporting and document management could be more streamlined, and the mobile experience is not always as efficient as the desktop version. Better integration with accounting software and more customizable dashboards would also improve the overall user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is UDA ConstructionOnline solving and how is that benefiting you?

UDA ConstructionOnline helps us keep project information organized in one place, including schedules, budgets, documents, change orders, and client communications. Having everything centralized reduces the need to search through emails and spreadsheets, improves team coordination, and helps us stay on top of project deadlines. The integrations with third-party companies, along with the internal connections between accounting and project management, are excellent. I also appreciate how well the real-time reports perform, especially for analyzing project costs and overall financials. The pricing feels competitive and affordable. On top of that, the CMIC support team is consistently helpful: they answer our case questions promptly and make themselves available to hop on calls whenever we need to troubleshoot more complex issues or work through detailed questions. “A Modern, User-Friendly ERP That Transformed Our Operations”
What do you like best about Acumatica?

I love how intuitive and easy Acumatica is to use, especially compared to our old DOS-based system. The financial controls and transparency it provides are a game changer—credit holds and pricing controls are now enforced, which was impossible before. Our warehouse has been completely transformed with the bin system and pick-pack path: we now have structure, order, and full visibility into inventory locations. Training new staff is quick and easy, and dashboards keep our sales team motivated. The mobile expense management is also a huge plus for our remote team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

The only aspect I wish we could improve is leveraging the AI-driven forecasting in purchasing. Right now, due to market volatility and limited historical data, we can't fully rely on it yet. Some legacy staff struggled with the increased controls and structure, and the change management was tough for a few people. Otherwise, there are no major complaints—the implementation was the easiest I've ever done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Adaptive Makes Draw Packages and Invoicing Fast and Effortless”
What do you like best about Adaptive?

Adaptive simplifies draws - I have NEVER been able to compose draw packages so quickly and it makes my life so much easier not having to dedicate an entire day - or two - to composing draw packages!!

I also love that Adaptive eliminates a lot of the tedious invoicing process (having to manually enter a vendor, invoice number, amount, etc.). It automatically pulls the information from the invoice and enters it, which saves SO much time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adaptive?

While it's extremely convenient because it automatically pulls the info over from the invoices, it's not 100% accurate (obviously not something I would expect, but I think some people may so I do want to point this out). You DO have to review all invoice fields to ensure the information that was pulled over was correct and that draws contain everything included; I have, at times, had Adaptive completely remove invoices from draws after a revision was made, even though the invoice wasn't removed by me, so as long as you are in a habit of double checking everything, it's not a huge issue (the likes definitely outweigh the dislikes). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adaptive solving and how is that benefiting you?

Draw packages!! Draws used to take me an entire day (or two, depending on how many I had to compose, how many projects I was completing them for, how many invoices were in each, etc) but they now take almost no time at all. This increases my productivity and ultimately saves money because I can now focus that time on other areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

User-friendly overall, and the implementation process was fairly quick. The support team is very responsive. Being a cloud-based SaaS makes it easy to work from pretty much anywhere with an internet connection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Knowify?

The inventory management module isn't synced with QBO. Need to add product assembly to help with faster quoting and purchasing. Need a more robust reporting tool since we can only run preset reports and not able to have access to the entire data set for custom reporting. Need to add payroll code for users to enter their time with proper code like straight time, over time, stat holiday, personal days, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Knowify solving and how is that benefiting you?

Manage our project quotes, purchase orders, expenses and labor time very well. With Knowify, we are able to control our project cost and stay close to our budget easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
