While there are options for naming photos in Procore, not all of the tools can utilize this. I personally use my phone to capture photos and add them as attachments with a name on daily reporting. It is a bit of an extra step, but then the photos can be accessed later for reference on lessons learned or to illustrate how something was accomplished in the past. What do you like best about Autodesk Construction Cloud?

I like Autodesk Construction Cloud because it has the potential to serve as a singular hub for all project related information. Autodesk is continuously adding new features to help improve productivity and communication on projects. The Design Collaboration module is a fantastic tool for Project Managers to review the design during the project without requiring prior knowledge or a license for Revit. What do you dislike about Autodesk Construction Cloud?

I wish there were more resources available to learn Autodesk Construction Cloud in a way that is targeted towards different roles in our industry. I wish the bridge functionality was improved and easier to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Autodesk Construction Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our company is fairly early along with our transition to Revit and BIM so at this time we are not utilizing a lot of the advanced features of ACC. It has already proven useful in dealing with some problems that we face on projects. The main benefit is having our projects hosted on Autodesk's servers. We have several offices around the country and those outside of our headquarters would often face long loading times when accessing Revit models from our company servers. By utilizing the construction cloud for project we would have traditionally hosted on our internal servers it has allowed model access time to be greatly improved for our production staff in our satellite offices. What do you like best about Handoff?

I like the ease of use of handoff and multiple options to cover all aspects of estimating for job while taking advantage of the AI for quicker review and placement of line items or documents. I also use Handoff heavily with my company and saves a lot of time and money for converting request into quotes, then being able to create final documents based on those quotes / work scope. Once you can get the Ai trained to your preferred formats, it makes things much easier than using a macro and having to manually input all information indivdually. Also, customer service is actually very helpful, fast, and quick to resolve any issues. I use handoff daily Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Handoff?

The least helpful parts of handoff for me are frustrations with simple mistakes sometimes, having to revie and correct the software (from simple mistakes to not following given prompts), however, this is more of an AI issue than the software issue. They are solving the efficency aspects of estimating and leveraging AI to help boost productivity for me and company. Additionally, the initial setup of HCSS was somewhat challenging for us due to having to work through multiple implementation groups. What do you like best about JobTread?

What I value most about JobTread is the clarity and structure it brings to my business. It didn’t just give me better software — it forced me to think and operate more intentionally. Having everything centralized (estimates, change orders, job costing, schedules, communication) gave me a clearer picture of where projects actually stood and what decisions I needed to be making.

Another huge upside has been how usable it is with subcontractors. Being able to share scopes, budgets, and expectations in a clean, professional way has helped me lean into a subcontractor-based model and step away from employees. That shift alone helped my business survive some very difficult personal and health-related seasons while still moving forward.

The support and onboarding also stand out. The team didn’t just answer questions — they made sure I actually implemented the system and used it correctly. That accountability was pivotal early on and made the difference between owning software and truly running my business through it.

I cannot put enough emphasis on the customer support and the desire to see their clients succeed. I was overwhelmed by the transition into implementing JobTread into our business. They followed up with me and made sure that we had a smooth integration and the support has always been there to ensure we can utilize this everyday in our business. What do you dislike about JobTread?

JobTread is constantly evolving, which is largely a positive, but it can occasionally be challenging to keep up with changes as new features and updates are rolled out. That said, this isn’t due to a lack of training, communication, or access to customer support — those resources are strong — it’s simply the nature of a platform that continues to improve and expand.

One minor functional issue I’ve run into is within invoicing. The total invoice amount is auto-filled in the payment field, and if the actual payment amount isn’t adjusted before submitting, it will apply the invoice as paid in full. At the moment, there isn’t a way to correct that directly, which requires creating a new invoice to fix the mistake. It’s a small thing, but a confirmation step or edit option would help prevent accidental full payments.

What problems is JobTread solving and how is that benefiting you?

JobTread has helped solve the problem of lack of visibility and control across projects. Before using it, it was difficult to quickly see where jobs stood financially, what had been approved, and what still needed action. Now I can track estimates, change orders, invoices, and job costs in one place, which has significantly reduced uncertainty and reactive decision-making.

It’s also helped solve communication breakdowns — both internally and with subcontractors. Having clear scopes, documented changes, and shared expectations has reduced confusion, protected margins, and improved accountability. This has been especially important as I transitioned away from employees and leaned more heavily on a subcontractor-based model.

Another major problem it helped solve was scalability during personal and operational stress. During seasons where my attention had to be divided due to family health issues and business restructuring, JobTread provided enough structure to keep projects moving without everything relying on me being involved in every detail.

Finally, it’s helped solve the issue of inconsistent sales and processes. By running estimates, pricing, and workflows through one system, I’ve been able to sell more consistently, make better decisions, and operate with greater confidence. We utilize Quickbooks Online for our accounting software and that was one of the reasons we signed with Knowify since the two are integrated. I do wish that the Contract Jobs worked a bit more similarly to the 'Customer Projects' in Quickbooks from a hierarchy stance - it would be helpful to manage large-scale contract jobs that have multiple lots (we have projects that can be 300+ lots). We brought on Knowify to start implementing Purchase Orders for our Field Technicians. This will give us the platform that we can use both in the field and in the office. We are also using Knowify to help manage our job bidding - its a good tool to help organize your RFIs from multiple vendors. Before Knowify, we would only use email - this helps to streamline the process for us and the vendors to keep all the right info in one place. Now we do not need to search through our emails trying to find what is what and from who. First of all, the Projul team is great, very responsive and easy to work with. It helps a ton that they have a construction background. What do you like best about Buildern?

I appreciate the simplicity of Buildern's setup process, which required minimal implementation time compared to other software we've used, which took weeks or even months. This efficiency has allowed us to become operational swiftly, saving us significant time. Buildern's comprehensive capabilities, from handling everything involved in project management to bid soliciting and cost tracking, have streamlined our operations, making us much more efficient. The software has organized our entire business, drastically reducing the time required for bid solicitation and leveling from a full day to just 30 minutes. The financial insights provided by Buildern for project profitability are exceptionally useful, allowing us to make informed decisions. Overall, Buildern offers the best value among other competitors, with all the necessary features we require, facilitating seamless integration with other tools like QuickBooks.
