## GCPay Reviews
  ### 1. user friendly and great customer support. Don't seem to listen to feedback to improve though.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael L. | Construction Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I still wish they'd make the monthly cost bundle report print by Division, and not by Alphabetical order. For any client, when we present the monthly billing, we have to present by going down the line, division by division. The monthly bundle is alphabetical, so each month, we have to manually reorganize. It seems so simple to make this change, yet seems to never be acknowledged. With that, GCPya is great, but they don't seem to care to get better, whereas everyone else has caught up or passed them, as they try to improve year over year. GCPay is more or less the same as it was 10 years ago.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Same as previous response. Also it is annoying that they greyed out the ability for us to check or uncheck if we should be responsible for sub SOVs or they are. We can call support, but this was a useful feature (as a lot of subs we work with are a little less sophisticated) that they took away. Sort of goes with the theme of the review that they aren't trying to improve, but instead maybe even working backwards a little. If some GCs want that greyed out, then have it be a setting in project/company settings.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration with Vista has saved our main office time and headaches. Tracking of insurance compliance is extremely helpful. Tracking on lien waivers is extremely helpful. Adding these to a pay app software truly benefits us and saves us time tracking these elsewhere, especially as we can set up to not let a sub submit their pay app without them. Its a great way to force the subs to keep up on their paperwork or they won't be paid timely, without making us look like jerks.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Michael, thank you for sharing this detailed feedback.

It’s great to hear that GCPay continues to provide value through its ease of use, strong customer support, Vista integration, compliance tracking, and lien waiver management. We're especially glad these tools are helping your team save time, reduce administrative effort, and keep subcontractor documentation on track.

We also appreciate your candid feedback regarding the monthly cost bundle report and SOV management settings. Input like this is valuable, and we understand how report organization and workflow flexibility can have a meaningful impact on day-to-day operations. Feedback from experienced users helps us continue evaluating opportunities to improve the platform and better support different business processes. In the meantime, we encourage you to reach out to Support at support@gcpay.com to see if there are any available options, workarounds, or guidance that may help address your reporting or workflow needs.

It’s rewarding to hear that GCPay is helping streamline pay application management while simplifying compliance and waiver tracking. Thank you for your continued partnership and for taking the time to share your perspective.

  ### 2. GCPay has saved us valuable time and streamlines the pay app process

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica G. | Vice President and Chief Financial Officer , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2023

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

While we still experience some of the same challenges with the Sage integration noted in my previous review, it is clear that GCPay continues to invest in the platform and release new enhancements. We have appreciated the ongoing improvements to compliance tracking, lien waiver management, reporting capabilities, and user resources. The software remains a valuable tool for managing subcontractor pay applications and documentation, and we look forward to seeing continued development of the Sage integration and ERP-related workflows in future updates.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Since my original review, we continue to experience the same challenges with the Sage integration. If improvements or alternative workflows have been developed, they have not been communicated to our team or incorporated into our training. We still find ourselves spending additional time manually adjusting pay application information to ensure it imports correctly into Sage. While GCPay has been a valuable tool in many aspects of our payment process, a more seamless integration with Sage would significantly improve efficiency and reduce the amount of manual intervention required. We would welcome additional guidance, training, or system enhancements that address this ongoing issue.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the standout features of GCPay Software is its exceptional efficiency in lien waiver tracking, both at the primary and third-tier levels. This functionality has not only reduced the time spent on these tasks but has also provided us with a reliable and streamlined process, enhancing overall project management.

The software's impact on pay application processing has been equally noteworthy. The intuitive design and automation capabilities have resulted in a substantial time-saving in inputting pay applications. Moreover, the reduction in mathematical errors has been a game-changer, contributing to more accurate financial reporting and eliminating the need for extensive error corrections.

GCPay Software's proficiency in facilitating change order processing cannot be overstated. The user-friendly interface has made the entire process remarkably straightforward, allowing our team to adapt to project changes seamlessly. This ease of use has translated into increased flexibility and responsiveness to evolving project requirements.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Jessica, thank you for sharing this detailed feedback.

It’s great to hear that GCPay continues to deliver value through improvements to compliance tracking, lien waiver management, reporting, and user resources. We’re especially glad the platform is helping streamline subcontractor pay applications and documentation while saving your team valuable time.

We also appreciate your candid feedback regarding the Sage integration. We understand how manual adjustments can impact efficiency, and feedback like yours helps guide future enhancements. If your team would like to review current workflows, training resources, or discuss potential options for improving the integration experience, our Support team is always available at support@gcpay.com.

It’s especially rewarding to hear that GCPay has helped simplify lien waiver tracking, reduce pay application errors, and make change order management more efficient. Thank you for your continued partnership and for sharing insights that help us continue improving the platform.

  ### 3. GCPay is the BEST!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krystal B. | Director, Business Process, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2024

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

GCPay is very transparent between the GC and Vendors and is super easy to use! Having constrained SOVs has helped with issues of incorrect billing and GCPay has allowed a more streamlined approval process. Also SUPER amazing for keeping track of waivers, tiered waivers, and insurance. Their support team, from their implementation team, development team, training, and customer support are top notch and always there to help make sure everything runs smoothly. GCPay keeps everything organized and on track!

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Nothing, GCPay has created such ease when it comes to processing pay applications and keeping track of compliance and insurance documents. Wouldn't go back!

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've gained a lot of time back moving from manual reconcilations to letting GCPay's SOV contraints take care of any chance of overbilling from the subcontractors. As well I can't say enough good things about the waivers and insurance. The communication to vendors to submit waivers and remind vendors their insurance is coming due is amazing.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Krystal, thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that GCPay is helping create transparency between general contractors and vendors while keeping billing, compliance, and documentation organized in one place. Features like constrained SOVs, waiver management, insurance tracking, and streamlined approvals are designed to reduce manual effort and help teams work more efficiently.

We also appreciate the kind words about our implementation, training, development, and Support teams. Providing responsive assistance throughout the customer journey is something we take great pride in. If help is ever needed, customers can always reach out to Support at support@gcpay.com.

It’s especially rewarding to hear that GCPay has helped your team save time, reduce overbilling concerns, and automate waiver and insurance follow-up. Thank you for being part of the GCPay community.

  ### 4. User-Friendly, Fast, and Reliable and with Helpful Tech Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandro Z. | Analista de crédito financiero, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

The system is very user friendly, it shows you a lot of information regarding what you're missing when submitting applications, the system has never crashed on me and works extremely fast, I had to use the GC Pay support once and they were really helpful to resolve my issues, overall the system is really good

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

The only thing I would say I dont like is that, even though it's really user friendly, it's very limited on it's capabilities and the "project owner" has a lot of power over the issues, once a draw is closed you cannot change anything and if they close it to close to your submission date you have no way to correct until they decide to open the next one

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Is helping me and my company to induce payments from our customers and it help me have an organize list of what's aleready been sent to the customer once it's been billed in our ERP's

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Alejandro, thank you for the great feedback! We are glad GCPay has been fast, reliable, and helpful in keeping your billing organized and payments moving. We will also pass along your kind words to our support team!

We understand the frustration when a draw closes close to your submission window. Those controls are set by the project owner to align with their billing cycle, but if you ever find yourself in a time-sensitive situation, our support team at support@gcpay.com can help facilitate communication to get things resolved quickly.

Thank you for being a GCPay user and for sharing your experience!

  ### 5. Intuitive UI, Seamless Accounting Integration, and Lightning-Fast Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex M. | PM, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

The user interface makes it very to understand what is in front of you. I am new in construction and have been confused by billing in the past but GCPay almost simplifies everything for everything. It also integrates into our accounting software which is also a major plus. The support team is unlike anything I have ever seen, the response time and helpfulness gets you answers almost immediately.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

I think if it would send reminder emails about subs submitting invoices, COs, etc it would make it much better. I honestly can't speak much on this yet because I have only used it for one project, so I am still learning where you guys could improve.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had trouble understanding waivers and which one comes at what time. GCPay outlines it clear as day for me as you work through payment. So when it comes to owner requesting TIA $ they usually ask me for waivers and backup. I can shuttle it accordingly with confidence because I know exactly what documents he needs thanks to GCPay. Our old software had serious performance issues and would randomly shut down ALL THE TIME. GCPAY never crashes, always runs smoothly and never slows down.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Alex, thank you for such an enthusiastic review, especially coming from someone newer to construction billing! We are thrilled GCPay has simplified waivers, integrated smoothly with your accounting software, and that our support team has made such a strong impression. We will absolutely pass along your kind words!

Great news on the reminder emails! GCPay does have automated notifications for subs regarding invoices and compliance, and these are configured on the GC side. Reach out to support@gcpay.com and our team can make sure everything is set up to keep those reminders going.

Thank you for being a GCPay user and welcome aboard!

  ### 6. GCPay Review from an Accounting/Billing User

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph R. | Accounting Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

What I like best about GCPay is that it keeps the billing process organized and gives us one place to track pay applications, approvals, lien waivers, and supporting documents. It helps make the status of each billing more visible, so we can see what has been submitted, what is pending, and what still needs to be corrected or approved.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

What I dislike about GCPay is that it can be a little clunky and not always intuitive. Some information is hard to find quickly, and the process can feel more time-consuming than it should be, especially when trying to review billing details, change information, or track down why something does not match our internal records. I also wish the descriptions, statuses, and error messages were clearer so it was easier to know what needs to be corrected without extra back-and-forth.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GCPay helps keep pay applications, billing documents, lien waivers, and approvals organized in one place. It makes it much easier to see what has been submitted, what’s been approved, and what still needs attention, rather than relying only on email threads or separate spreadsheets. The biggest benefit for me is the added visibility into billing status, which helps reduce missed paperwork and cuts down on confusion between contractors, accounting, and project teams.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Joseph, thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review! We are glad GCPay has brought better visibility and organization to your billing process, reducing the reliance on email threads and spreadsheets across your accounting and project teams.

We appreciate the honest feedback on navigation, billing detail access, and the clarity of status messages and error descriptions. These are all areas we take seriously and will make sure they reach our product team. In the meantime, our support team at support@gcpay.com is always happy to help work through any confusing statuses or discrepancies quickly.

Thank you for sharing such constructive feedback. It genuinely helps us improve!

  ### 7. Manual Schedule of Values and Limited Support Make GCPay Harder to Use

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ali S. | Accounting/ESG Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I am used to Textura and maybe it's because I am so used to it, but it seems much faster and easier. With GCPay I like that before submitting they ask me if there are any changes we need to make or if there is anything else we need to invoice that is not on the schedule of values

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

I don't like that I have to insert the schedule of value myself. Some clients like us to write everything line by line, others like milestone payments. It would be much easier if they enter the line items and we complete. And I wish there was a better integrated way to sign waivers inside GCpay (via Docusign) or something. And sometimes I wish there was a quick chat support or at least an email contact from our client to reach out to. More email notifications would help as well.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me submit invoices and waivers, which makes the whole process a lot easier. That said, I still wish it were more straightforward and intuitive to navigate. It does solve the constant email back-and-forth between the client and supplier when it comes to handling waivers.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Ali, thank you for the honest and detailed feedback! We are glad GCPay has helped reduce the back and forth on invoices and waivers, and that the pre-submission check prompts have been a helpful touch.

We hear you on the SOV entry, waiver signing integration, and notification improvements. These are all valuable suggestions we will pass along to our product team. On the SOV specifically, in many cases the GC can enter line items on their end, so it may be worth reaching out to your client or contacting support@gcpay.com to see what options are available in your setup. Our team also offers chat and email support directly.

Thank you for sharing such constructive feedback. It genuinely helps us improve!

  ### 8. Well‑Designed Features, Opportunities in Onboarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nirav B. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

1. It enables us to track pay apps, lien waivers, and approvals all on one platform.
2. It doesn't lets the subs submit pay application until all compliance documents have been submitted.
3. Audit trail helps with auditing and tracking changes.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

1. Time consuming to make flexible rules for different subcontractors.
2. Difficult to explain to smaller subs.
3. Approval hierarchies, waiver rules, and compliance logic are locked in early
4. issues with integrating with Sage.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Eliminates chasing of lien waivers and backup documentation via email. Everything is saved under the specific pay app for that month.
2. Easy to back track lien waivers for previous pay apps
3.Automatic email notifications if pay app is rejected reduces email burden.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Nirav, thank you for such a thorough review! We are glad GCPay has eliminated the lien waiver chase, made backtracking previous pay apps easy, and reduced your email burden through automated notifications. The compliance gate before submission is one of our favorite features to hear working as intended.

We appreciate the detailed feedback on setup flexibility, smaller sub onboarding, and the Sage integration. These are all areas our product team is actively focused on. Please reach out to support@gcpay.com with specifics on the Sage issues in particular, as our team may be able to help resolve those more directly.

Thank you for sharing such constructive and detailed feedback!

  ### 9. GC Pay - the future of construction invoice management is here.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick M. | Financial Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

The consistency that GC Pay and the support staff is unshakeable. The improvements, especially with the software communication between other platforms, has improved.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

GC Pay has made strives cleaning up bugs. I would like GC pay to roll out more options to pay vendors directly from GC Pay.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time saving and accuracy. Before GC Pay, our AP team had to hand key pay apps in the system. With this, we found multiple errors, lack of change orders, innconsitencies, etc. Now - our SOVs are all in line, plus GC Pays platform allows us to collect waivers, supplier information, etc.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Nick, thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that the consistency of both the platform and the Support team has stood out. We’re also glad the continued improvements, particularly around integrations and communication with other systems, are helping create a smoother experience.

We appreciate the feedback around expanded vendor payment capabilities. Input like this helps shape future enhancements and opportunities to further streamline payment workflows.

Most importantly, it’s great to hear GCPay is delivering meaningful time savings and improved accuracy. Reducing manual data entry for pay applications allows AP teams to focus on higher-value work while helping minimize errors throughout the billing process.

  ### 10. Outstanding Customer Service That Resolves Issues Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole Z. | Construction Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

My favorite thing about using GCPay is the customer service! I've been using this software for over 5 years and have never come across an issue that the support team wasn't able to quickly resolve. They are always prompt to respond and have a positive attitude which is something you don't often see when working with customer service representatives.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

My biggest complaint with GCPay is not being able to use the "back" button to return to where you were on the screen. For example - if I'm looking at Application for Payment #12 for one of my Subcontractors and I want to go back and view Application for Payment #11, hitting the "back" button takes you back to the main project page and not back to the Subcontractor you were reviewing. You then have to search that Subcontractor again and go look at the next Application for Payment that you want to review.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GCPay solves the problem of having to look in multiple locations for the project related items you are working on. I really like that you have all Pay Apps, Lien Waivers and Compliance being tracked in the same system. The feature of blocking a Subcontractor's ability to submit an Application for Payment if their compliance expired is so helpful and minimizes risk for our company. That feature alone eliminates the need to have a separate tracker for all COI's which gives our employees more capacity to work on other tasks.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Nicole, thank you so much for your continued trust in GCPay over the past five years, that truly means a lot to us! We’re especially grateful for your kind words about our Support team. Providing prompt, positive, and reliable service is something we take great pride in, and it’s wonderful to hear that’s been your experience.

We also appreciate your detailed feedback about the “back” button navigation. That’s a very helpful example, and we understand how that extra searching can interrupt your workflow. We’ll be sure to share this with our product team as we continue refining the user experience.

It’s great to know that having pay apps, lien waivers, and compliance all in one place, along with the compliance-blocking feature, is helping reduce risk and free up your team’s time. That’s exactly the kind of impact we strive to make. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

  ### 11. Streamlined Invoicing, Effortless Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Audrie P. | Administrative Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I work for a subcontractor, and we use GCPay to invoice our customers. GCPay really streamlines the whole process, and we no longer have to use Excel, Word, and Adobe for just one pay application. Everything is in one spot for monthly billing, and it makes it so much easier. I appreciate not having to manually create the pay applications, print everything, go get a signature, just to re-upload all the documents and send them out. There are no surprises as the customer approves your billing line items before you actually bill, and they submit their approval after you invoice, so you aren't still guessing if there were issues with your draw months down the line. The initial setup was extremely easy.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

The notary system isn't the greatest. I'd rather be able to upload my notary stamp and e-sign/stamp right in GCPay rather than print and physically sign or have to connect to an outside notary. I think the supplier waiver system could be a little better as well. The system automatically requests the waivers sometimes prematurely.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GCPay streamlines invoicing by consolidating pay applications into one place, eliminating Excel and Word use. It simplifies approvals with upfront customer approval of billing line items, removing guesswork about issues and reducing manual processes.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Audrie, thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that GCPay has helped replace a very manual process with something much more centralized and efficient. Moving away from juggling Excel, Word, and PDF workflows into one system for pay applications really does simplify monthly billing. It’s also helpful that approvals happen upfront on line items, since that removes a lot of uncertainty and follow-up later in the cycle. Glad to hear the setup process was smooth as well.

On the notarization feedback, that’s a thoughtful point. The current approach is designed to support compliance requirements through either integrated remote notarization or approved external notary workflows, but I can understand the preference for a fully in-platform e-sign and stamp experience. The note about supplier waivers being triggered too early is also helpful, especially if it creates unnecessary steps before billing is ready.

Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and detailed feedback.

  ### 12. Streamlined Payment Tracking with GCPay

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I like that the contractors' waivers are here because it helps comply with their requirements, especially since we bill a lot of different contractors and can forget all the specific requirements they have. It's useful that the Statement of Values and all requirements are readily available in GCPay. The homepage is very helpful with all the projects and outstanding items clearly displayed, which shows me the tasks I need to complete to unlock our payments. GCPay is awesome compared to other platforms.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Only with some contractors, you cannot submit the billing without a notary. Sometimes our notary is out of the office so I have to remember to log in and submit the billing after the waiver has been uploaded. Maybe let me finish the billing and when the waiver is uploaded it unlocks the billing.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GCPay organizes contractor requirements, helping me manage billing for various contractors easily. The homepage shows all projects and outstanding tasks, ensuring we unlock payments promptly.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Justin, thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that GCPay is helping you keep track of different contractor requirements and waivers in one place. When you’re working across multiple contractors, having SOVs, compliance items, and billing requirements centralized really does make it easier to stay organized and avoid missing key steps. It’s also good to hear the homepage view is helping you quickly see what still needs attention so payments can move forward.

On the notarization workflow, GCPay does address this through integrated Remote Online Notarization and automated lien waiver management. In many cases, you’re able to complete billing without waiting for an in-office notary by using the embedded Notarize.com option, which connects you directly with a certified online notary. Depending on the workflow set by the contractor, GCPay can also allow billing to be completed and then “held” until required waivers are uploaded, or it can unlock submission once the notarized document is received. This flexibility is designed to reduce delays tied to notary availability while still meeting compliance requirements.

Glad to hear GCPay is helping simplify a complex billing environment and improve visibility across projects.

  ### 13. Efficient for Construction Billing, Needs More Autonomy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** norma c. | Accounts Receivable, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I love that GCPay is super user-friendly and straight to the point. It helps keep track of where an invoice is in the process by using the audit trail. I also appreciate how easy it is to handle and view all the job numbers and details for billing. We get notifications for new jobs, allowing us to seamlessly enter necessary details in a user-friendly way.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

I wish we could reject an invoice and not have to call the GC to do it, sometimes it's easier if we know there is an error and want to fix it without having to bother anyone. It would be helpful to have a sub reject button where we could put a reason as to why, so the GC can see what we did. Though, that is also in the audit trail every time someone approves, signs, or rejects billings.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GCPay to track invoice processes with the audit trail; it's super user-friendly for submitting billings and visualizing job numbers.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Norma, thank you for the wonderful feedback! We are glad the audit trail, job number visibility, and billing notifications have made tracking invoices so seamless and straightforward.

Your suggestion about a sub-side reject button with a reason field is a great one. Being able to flag and correct an error independently without needing to contact the GC would be a practical improvement, and we will make sure this gets in front of our product team.

Thank you for being a GCPay user and for sharing such thoughtful feedback!

  ### 14. Effortless Payment Processing with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie D.

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I really like that GCPay streamlines a traditionally complex process, making it so much easier for subcontractors to electronically create and submit their pay applications and necessary lien waivers. It significantly reduces manual efforts and improves accuracy. I appreciate its structured workflows, clear audit trails, and the ease of collaboration between general contractors and subcontractors, which help keep payments organized and on schedule. The customer support is also impressive, with fast response times and a friendly approach to helping with any questions or concerns, whether from our company personnel or our subcontractors. Setup was very easy according to our management team.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

I cannot personally think of anything that I have issues with or would want to change.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GCPay streamlines subcontractor pay applications by reducing manual efforts and improving accuracy. It offers structured workflows, clear audit trails, and makes collaboration easy, keeping payments organized and on schedule. Customer support is also responsive and helpful.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Katie, thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed review! We are thrilled that structured workflows, audit trails, and the collaborative experience between GCs and subcontractors have made such a positive impact. We will also be sure to pass along your kind words to our support team!

Having nothing to change or improve upon is the highest compliment we could receive, and we will keep working hard to maintain that standard.

Thank you for being a GCPay user and for sharing such a well-rounded review!

  ### 15. Effortless Billing with Time-Saving Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie A. | Office Manager, Construction, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I use GCPay for monthly progress billings, and I love that it allows me to handle billing and waivers all in one app, eliminating the need to email contractors separately. It's easy to use and navigate, which makes seeing all my contracts on one page straightforward. I really appreciate that payments can be sent to us through GCPay, which speeds up the payment process and reduces the waiting time once payments are released.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

The only think i can think of is the lien waivers. Once an amount is put in for a supplier, that is the amount that shows on the unconditional waiver for the supplier. there is no way to update the amount later in GCPay even if the amount entered was only a partial amount due to when billings are required to be entered.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GCPay consolidates emailing billings and waivers into one app, makes the payment process faster by allowing contractors to pay directly, and offers easy access to all contracts on one page.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Thank you for such thoughtful feedback! We are glad GCPay has consolidated your billing and waiver process into one place, eliminated separate contractor emails, and sped up your payment cycle.

Unconditional waivers are binding upon submission, so the amount cannot be automatically updated after entry. However, there is a path forward. The GC can reject the incorrect waiver, which allows a corrected version to be uploaded in its place. For tier vendor amounts, a new waiver can also be generated and resent. If the discrepancy is due to payment happening outside of GCPay, the payment exchange waiver can be manually unlocked to update the amount. Reach out to support@gcpay.com and our team can walk you through the best option for your situation.

Thank you for being a GCPay user and for sharing your experience!

  ### 16. Effortless Billing and Management with GCPay

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cole V. | Project Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I like that GCPay offers a quick and easy way to fill in billing dollar amounts. It's also simple to upload releases when requested by General Contractors. The feature that allows entering billing submissions with ease is really helpful. I appreciate having access to all projects in one place linked to GCPay. The initial setup was very simple; I just needed an invite to join the project. I like GCPay's ease of management, and it's great that certain General Contractors opt to use it.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Sometimes the releases are a little confusing because once you submit there is no way to delete what you submitted in the case that you submitted the wrong document on accident.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find GCPay provides a quick and easy way to handle billings and manage projects. It's straightforward to enter billing amounts and upload required releases. Plus, I can access all projects in one place, keeping everything organized and efficient.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Cole, thank you for such a positive review! We are glad that billing submissions, release uploads, and project management have all been smooth and easy to access in one place. A simple onboarding experience is something we take pride in as well.

We understand the frustration of not being able to remove an accidentally submitted document. Those controls are in place to protect billing integrity, but our support team at support@gcpay.com is always ready to help correct any submission errors quickly.

Thank you for being a GCPay user and for sharing your experience!

  ### 17. Administrative Assistant - managing subcontractor compliance and closeout documentation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristin J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I find GCPay really well organized and appreciate how super quick it is to look up specific projects and subcontractors. It keeps all of my documents very well organized and sends out timely notices for expiring compliance. GCPay also effectively communicates across both the accounting, compliance admin, and project teams. The best part about GCPay is being able to link payments to compliance and having subcontractors upload their own documents, which keeps us much more on top of our compliance.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

There are a handful of vendors and subcontractors (such as testing, engineering, and site services) that have one-time or ongoing (monthly) rental invoices that we don't have in GCPay because they don't match with a specific project or with standard retention/payment rules. It makes it challenging to manage their compliance documents. It would be nice to be able to track compliance for these exceptions. However, we've figured out a workaround with our accounting team, so there's nothing I need really at this moment in time.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GCPay to link payments to compliance, streamline document uploads from subcontractors, and improve closeout completion to project payments timeline. GCPay is well-organized, allows quick project and e-payments lookups, effective communication across teams, and was an upgrade from our manual processes.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Kristin, thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear how well organized GCPay feels for your team and that it’s helping you quickly look up projects and subcontractors. The combination of timely compliance notifications and centralized document storage really does help keep things on track, especially when you’re managing compliance and closeout documentation across multiple teams. It’s also good to hear the communication between accounting, compliance, and project teams is working smoothly, and that linking payments to compliance has strengthened overall oversight.

On the feedback you shared, that’s very thoughtful. It’s not uncommon for vendors with one-time or non-project-specific invoices to fall outside standard workflows, and that can make compliance tracking a bit more complex. It’s great that you’ve already found a workaround with your accounting team, but your suggestion about having a way to track compliance for those exceptions is a helpful one and worth noting.

Appreciate you taking the time to share such a detailed overview of your experience.

  ### 18. Efficient Invoice Management with Seamless Communication

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cheyenne S. | Payroll Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I like receiving updates straight to my email to keep in the loop. Getting rejections or approvals and all the paperwork sent straight to me helps me manage and move files to the correct locations. I appreciate that I don't need to go back and forth communicating over the phone with vendors, as I can leave comments and make changes directly in the system. The audit trail is handy for seeing all past changes and understanding what has occurred. I find GCPay easy to navigate and use.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

I wish the period and application date changed together, that's the one thing I always forget to do. I would also like to be able to rename the projects into what company calls them, but I understand why that isn't a major thing.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GCPay to upload invoices, reducing the need for back-and-forth communication. It allows commenting and changes without phone calls, with notifications sent straight to emails. The audit trail helps track changes, and I manage paperwork efficiently with email updates.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Cheyenne, Thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that the email updates are helping you stay informed in real time and making it easier to keep documentation organized. Having approvals, rejections, and supporting paperwork delivered directly can really reduce the need for back and forth and keep things moving efficiently. It’s also good to hear the in-system commenting and audit trail are helping streamline communication and provide clear visibility into changes over time.

On the feedback you shared, that’s helpful and very practical. Keeping the period and application date aligned automatically would definitely reduce small manual steps and help avoid missed updates. The note about project naming is also understandable, especially when internal naming conventions differ from system defaults.

Glad to hear overall that GCPay is helping reduce manual communication and making invoice management easier to track and manage.

  ### 19. Simple, Fast Interface with All the Functions We Need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

It is a very simple interface but has all of the functions you need. Other services i have used have too many pages and menus and make certain things difficult to get to easily. I have never had any issues with it running slowly or loading any of the pages. Getting started was very simple and it didn't overload me with questions and details to enter about the company that typical aren't very relevant. I have yet to try out any AI features or integrate it with other tools as currently we only use it for our customers who use it.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Everything i have used it for has been straightforward so I haven't encountered any issues or complaints.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we only use it for customers who use it to manage their projects, it's main benefit is that I prefer to use it over certain other big name project software.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Thank you for the great feedback! We are glad GCPay has been fast, simple to navigate, and easy to get started with without unnecessary setup friction. Hearing that you prefer it over other big name platforms is a real compliment.

No complaints is exactly what we love to hear, and we will keep working to maintain that experience as you continue to explore more of what GCPay has to offer.

Thank you for being a GCPay user and for sharing your experience!

  ### 20. Streamlines Billing with Minor Setup Hiccups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noah H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I like using GCPay for billing as a General Contractor in commercial construction. It helps my company accurately track projects between sub billing, SOVs, insurance, and taxes. I appreciate how GCPay has many tabs to go through past billing, current, and projections for my job. The system makes it easy to approve and reject, allowing subs to adjust the percentages being billed. It solves the issues of old-time Excel spreadsheets and the hassle of writing checks to subcontractors.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

I notice many times our trade partners struggle to submit or get their billing in because either no training for the system or could be getting error messages due to up to date insurance or something.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GCPay for billing and project tracking, which solves issues with Excel spreadsheets and reduces manual check cutting. It simplifies approving and rejecting subcontractor billings, making billing more accurate and efficient.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Noah, thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that GCPay is helping you bring structure to billing and project tracking across SOVs, insurance, taxes, and subcontractor billing. Having everything connected in one place, especially with visibility into past, current, and projected billing, really does help replace manual spreadsheet tracking and streamline approvals.

It’s also good to hear the approval and rejection workflow is working smoothly and making it easier to manage adjustments with subcontractors. That kind of flexibility helps keep billing accurate and moving forward without extra back-and-forth.

On the challenge you mentioned with trade partners, that’s helpful feedback. A lot of those submission issues can come down to onboarding or compliance items like insurance updates, and when that’s unclear it can slow things down for subs. Subs can also reach out to Support anytime for a walkthrough or help if they are running into errors or need guidance during submission.

Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

  ### 21. Effortless Pay Applications with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurie F. | Program Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I appreciate that GCPay has the statement of values already inputted, making it easy for me to enter the amounts for the month. I like how it's easy to log on and go straight to the dashboard for a specific project. I also find it helpful that I can start by inputting the values for the pay application, and it immediately shows the screen where the liens need to be filled out—there's no guessing or searching. The initial setup was quick and painless.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

I do receive a notice of payment, but finding the actual remittance isn't easy.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GCPay for submitting pay applications as it has values inputted and lets me easily enter monthly amounts. It's easy to log in and go right to the project dashboard. I easily input the values and it shows where liens need to be filled out, eliminating guesswork.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Laurie, thank you for the detailed feedback! We are glad the pre-loaded statement of values, seamless lien prompts, and easy dashboard access have made the pay application process so smooth from the start.

Your point about remittance being difficult to locate after receiving a payment notice is a helpful one. Please reach out to support@gcpay.com and our team can walk you through where to find it and make sure you have easy access going forward.

Thank you for being a GCPay user and for sharing your experience!

I appreciate how GCPay streamlines the billing and payment process, automating the pay app and compliance tracking. It's user-friendly and intuitive, helps keep track of project progress and payments, and simplifies the tracking of approval and payments. I really value the great customer support that GCPay provides; they always respond quickly and help resolve issues efficiently. Setting up projects and contracts with GCPay is pretty straightforward. We've been using GCPay for a long time, and I love it.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Subcontractors sometimes encounter difficulties when registering on GCPay or submitting billings, which could delay contract setup or payment. Vendors often miss the verification email needed to complete the registration process.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GCPay streamlines the billing and payment process by automating pay apps and compliance tracking. It's user-friendly and helps track project progress and payments, simplifying approval and payment tracking. Great customer support ensures issues are resolved quickly.

We hear you on the subcontractor registration and missed verification email issue. This is a common hurdle and our support team at support@gcpay.com is always happy to help vendors complete registration quickly so nothing delays your contract setup or payments.

Thank you for being such a dedicated GCPay user!

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I love their customer support, it is top tier. They go above and beyond!

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

I dont have a dislike I can speak on. GC Pay really carries the weight of having to track subcontractor pay applications, required items and incoming waivers.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have owner specific waivers we use on projects and even when we have an issue in the middle of a project they come in and get waivers updated and pushed back out to ensure we stay ahead of waiver related issues.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Stephanie, thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that our Support team has made such a positive impression. Going above and beyond to help customers succeed is something we take great pride in, and we appreciate the kind words.

**Reviewed by:** Tiffany W. | Project Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I use GCPay to organize SOVs and invoices to pay our subs as a general contractor, and it really takes the guesswork out of approving and organizing line items in the schedule of values. I can't say this enough—the customer service is top notch. Anytime I ever have a problem or don't understand something, I click the chatbox and get a live rep who walks me through my problem step by step. They have taught me so much, and I think we might be friends now, lol. GCPay communicates directly with our Sage Intacct software, and once I got the basics down, setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

I don't have anything I dislike about the program

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s also good to know the integration with Sage Intacct is working smoothly and that setup felt straightforward once you got familiar with the basics.

The feedback on Support really stands out. Having quick access to a real person who can walk through questions step by step makes a big difference, especially when you’re learning the system or working through something new.

Glad to hear GCPay is helping bring more clarity and efficiency to your billing workflow.

  ### 25. GCPay Makes Project and Payment Tracking Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

GCPay is a great software for tracking all info regarding projects and payments. Everything is easily accessible and easy to use. Their agents are also very quick and responsive through phone and email. I use GCPay every day for my job and it makes managing invoices, lien waivers, and compliance documentation much more efficient by keeping everything in one place. The platform is user-friendly and helps reduce errors and delays by automating workflows and improving visibility between contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Overall, it saves time and improves organization across the entire payment process.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

One downside of GCPay is that the initial setup and onboarding process can feel a bit complex, especially for new users who aren’t familiar with construction payment systems.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By centralizing everything in one platform, it reduces the need for manual tracking, paperwork, and back-and-forth communication between parties. This benefits me by saving time, minimizing errors, and giving me better visibility into the status of payments. It also helps ensure that all required documentation is completed correctly and on time, which makes the entire process smoother and less stressful. Sometimes I'll run into issues where the payment is incorrect on my end or the company needs to be updated and GCPay support is always there to solve all my issues. They update anything I ask for very promptly.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Thank you for the detailed review, we really appreciate it. It’s great to hear GCPay is helping you stay organized and making it easier to manage invoices, waivers, and compliance all in one place. Saving time, reducing errors, and improving visibility across the payment process is exactly what we’re aiming for, so it’s good to know that’s coming through in your day-to-day work.

We also appreciate your feedback on onboarding. Getting started should feel as smooth as using the platform, and we’re continuing to improve that experience for new users.

And of course, we’re glad our Support team has been there to help quickly when issues come up. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

  ### 26. Streamlines Payment Tracking with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mauricio T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I find that it's easy to apply for payments and track status with GCPay, which makes managing project payments between the GC and us as subcontractors much simpler. The audit trail features for payment applications are great for tracking current payment status and reviewing past payment activity, even for past jobs. I also enjoy the ePayments and the activity audit trails with names and dates. The initial setup was basic and very easy. Overall, I think GCPay is already great and it's hard to find room for much improvement.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

There's nothing to dislike about GCPay.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GCPay for tracking and processing project payments, with audit trails helping track payment status and review past activity, even for closed jobs. It's easy to apply for payments and track status with ePayments and activity audit trails.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Mauricio, thank you for such a glowing review! We are glad the audit trails, ePayments, and payment tracking have made managing project payments so much simpler, even for past jobs. Easy setup and full payment visibility are things we put a lot of thought into.

Having nothing to dislike is truly the best feedback we could receive, and we will keep working hard to live up to that standard.

Thank you for being a GCPay user and for sharing your experience!

  ### 27. GC Pay has been a huge time saver for us!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela H. | Assistant Controller, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

The program is easy to use and the chat support is AMAZING! They are always quick to respond and very helpful!

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Two items come to mind, the ability to submit something on behalf of subcontractors is a little cumbersome/hard to use (SOV & Pay applications). Also, billing and paying retainage in Vista has been problematic. It is easy to bill in GC Pay, but comes over a little strange into Vista.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are having great success with posting pay applications and getting them paid quickly while also knowing subcontractors are compliant. Before using GC Pay, we were manually entering pay applications into Vista, it was very time consuming and left a lot of room for error. It also has been great with helping manage lien waivers too! Overall, very happy with our experience!

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Angela, thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that GCPay has been such a time saver and that the chat support team has been quick and helpful. Having that kind of real-time assistance really makes a difference when you’re working through billing cycles.

On your feedback, that’s helpful to hear. Submitting on behalf of subcontractors for SOVs and pay applications can feel a bit clunky, especially when you’re trying to move quickly across multiple jobs. The retainage and Vista integration piece is also useful insight, particularly where billing flows over differently than expected between systems. Feel free to reach out to support@gcpay.com to see if there's a solution to the integration glitch with Vista.

Glad to hear overall that you’re seeing faster pay application processing, better compliance visibility, and a big improvement compared to manual entry. It’s also good to know lien waiver management has been working well for your team.

  ### 28. Takes the Place of an Accurate Accounting person

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

If used correctly our subcontractors can see exactly what they need to do for compliance to receive payment. It allows our accounting department more time to do our work and we spend less time answering questions they can find the answer to in GCPay. We encourage CFO's and Owners to spend sometime reviewing so they have an idea as how easy they can receive payment if their accounting department stays on top of it.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Your customer services is awesome and because of this we don't have anything we dislike

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't have many problems and if something comes up we contact customer service and it is always taken care of and if not at that time then when the new upgrade comes out.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that GCPay is helping subcontractors clearly understand what’s needed for compliance and payment. Giving accounting teams more visibility and reducing back-and-forth questions can make a big difference during billing cycles. It’s also great advice to encourage CFOs and owners to spend time in the platform so they can better understand the workflow and payment process.

We also appreciate the kind words about the Support team. It’s great to hear issues are being resolved quickly and that ongoing updates continue to improve the experience over time.

Glad to hear GCPay is helping create a smoother and more efficient process for your team.

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I use GCPay to input my monthly invoice, check on payment status, and look at plans. I don't have any problems with GCPay, and it helps me know if I have any items not completed yet to get my invoice processed for payment. I like that you can see when a payment has been made and that you can sign waivers on it. I haven't had any issues with GCPay and I feel it is easy to find what you are looking for. I feel the initial setup went smoothly.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

I haven't found anything to dislike about it very easy to use

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GCPay to input invoices, check payment status, and review plans. It helps me complete items for invoice processing, lets me see payments made, and sign waivers.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Michelle, thank you for the wonderful feedback! We are glad invoicing, payment tracking, waiver signing, and setup have all been smooth and easy experiences from the start. Knowing exactly what is outstanding before submitting an invoice is exactly the kind of visibility we aim to provide.

Hearing that you have found nothing to dislike is the best review we could ask for. We will keep working hard to maintain that!

Thank you for being a GCPay user and for sharing your experience!

  ### 30. Simplified Billing with Clear Project Separation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I use GCPay to bill some of our jobs, and it really made billing line items very simple. I like how straightforward it was when billing line items, making it easy to ensure you billed correctly and fully. There is also a clear separation between projects which makes things very clear and separated. The initial setup seemed simple compared to other software.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

I would like more automated messages for missing documents. There were times that I had waivers that needed to be signed but I didn't realize until I was contacted. Just to have reminders sent to my email more often.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GCPay because it simplifies billing line items, making it straightforward to ensure correctness and completeness. The platform provides clear separation between projects, which helps keep everything organized.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Jacob, thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that GCPay is making billing line items more straightforward and helping ensure accuracy and completeness. Having that clear separation between projects also goes a long way in keeping things organized, especially when you’re managing multiple jobs at once. It’s also good to hear that setup felt simple compared to other systems.

On your feedback about notifications, GCPay does address this through automated reminders for missing documents and waivers. The system sends email notifications for required actions like lien waivers and compliance items, and can also flag or block submissions when key documents are missing. In addition, it provides proactive reminders for expiring compliance documents ahead of time, helping reduce the need for manual follow-up or back-and-forth communication. These automated prompts are designed to keep both subcontractors and general contractors aligned on what’s still needed throughout the billing cycle.

Glad to hear overall that the platform is simplifying billing and helping you stay organized across projects.

  ### 31. The Best Subcontractor portal with great customer services

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mina S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

user-friendly and mitigate a lot of risk by getting lien waivers. Also, saves money by not having an accountant to post all the subcontractors invoices

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Connection with ERP, still goes by downloading a CSV and uploading to the ERP. Had couple of incidences where we exported the CSV and for some reason we did not import. Need to get this more automated.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Back and forth pay apps between GC and subconstractors

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Hi Mina - We appreciate that you took the time to provide your review of GCPay. Based on your feedback, we'll have your account manager reach out to you to discuss your concerns about reporting and customization to see if we can help and get your input for future improvements.

  ### 32. Efficient Billing but Challenging Setup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I like GCPay because it helps process invoices much quicker, which is really beneficial when dealing with a high volume of transactions. The ease with which invoices can be processed definitely helps me handle billing and payments more efficiently.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Many. It needs changes where you can filter by more options. Also, if changes are needed on a company level and you already have many projects set up, you need to go to each project individually and make the changes. Also, waivers being refreshed by Support only makes it a headache. Not easy, sometimes there was no answer to the questions we had. Also once onboarding was complete, the new agent was little help.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GCPay helps me process invoices much quicker and manage high volumes easily.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Aaron, thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that GCPay is helping you process invoices more quickly and handle a high volume of transactions more efficiently. That kind of speed and consistency can make a big difference in billing workflows.

On the feedback you shared, that’s helpful and detailed. Improved filtering options and the ability to make company-level changes across multiple projects at once would definitely reduce repetitive work, especially when managing larger portfolios. The comments around waiver refreshes and onboarding support are also important to hear, particularly where additional clarity or consistency may be needed.

If you run into specific issues or need help during setup or while working through projects, GCPay Support is available to assist and can help troubleshoot or guide next steps.

Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and insights.

  ### 33. Streamlined Invoicing with Essential Waiver Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I like that GCPay streamlines the invoicing process and makes it simple. I appreciate that it sends you the waivers you need to sign after submitting the invoice and lets you know which ones are mandatory or need to be notarized. This makes it easy to know which waivers the GC needs from us, saving time and reducing confusion. Setting up GCPay was super simple. I just had to fill out a few things.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

The only thing I can think of is it would be nice if you could hit 'tab' to go to the next line when entering in multiple line items in the schedule of values.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GCPay streamlines our invoicing process and simplifies knowing which waivers are needed, including notarization requirements.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Kelly, thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that GCPay is helping streamline your invoicing process and make waiver management more straightforward. Knowing exactly which waivers are required, including notarization, and having them clearly flagged can really reduce back and forth and save time. Also glad to hear setup felt simple and didn’t require much on your end.

The feedback on using the “tab” key to move between line items is a helpful and practical suggestion. Small improvements like that can make a big difference when entering multiple values.

It’s great to see the platform is helping simplify both invoicing and waiver tracking. Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

  ### 34. Efficient Pay Management with Easy Onboarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudio S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I mainly use GCPay for Pay applications for subcontractors and collecting waivers. I really appreciate the time efficiency and how it centralizes information. What I like most is how much time GCPay saves me from creating payment applications in excel spreadsheets. I can directly use GCPay to replace manual processes related to payment applications, which is a big help. The initial setup was extremely easy with the onboarding support from GCPay.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Having fewer integration issues related to retainage. When integrating for the current draw on certain projects, there are sometimes accuracy mistakes that trigger in our CMiC system, usually involving rounding numbers.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GCPay to save time on creating pay applications and collecting waivers, streamlining our process and centralizing information effectively.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Claudio, thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear how much time GCPay is saving you, especially by replacing manual spreadsheet work for pay applications. Centralizing waivers and billing in one place really does make a difference, and it’s good to know onboarding helped get you up and running quickly.

On the integration side, that’s helpful feedback. Retainage and rounding differences between systems like CMiC can create inconsistencies, so I understand how that can be frustrating when accuracy is critical. That’s something worth reviewing more closely to ensure data aligns as expected across systems.

Glad to hear GCPay is helping streamline your process and make payment application management more efficient overall.

  ### 35. Essential for Efficient Subcontractor Payments Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I like that GCPay's website and layout are simple to understand, which helps me manage subcontractor payments more efficiently. Their customer support is great, resolving issues promptly. I also appreciate how GCPay integrates with our VP system, allowing subcontractors to log in and submit billings, keeping everything in one system. It's easy to import pay apps into our VP system, keeping track of all approvals, waivers, and affidavits, which makes posting costs reasonably easy. Once you understand all the features and settings, the initial setup is straightforward.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Being able to track waivers by individual subcontractors would be nice. Being able to toggle certain waivers as requirements for certain subs, rather than just on the project as a whole.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GCPay to track subcontractor payments and integrate with our VP system. It simplifies submitting billings, importing pay apps, and managing approvals and waivers, making posting costs easier.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Patrick, thank you for the detailed and thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear that GCPay’s straightforward layout and integration with Viewpoint are helping make subcontractor billing, approvals, and posting costs more efficient. It’s also great to know our Support team has been responsive when you’ve needed help.

We appreciate your suggestion about tracking waivers at the individual subcontractor level and being able to set requirements more selectively. Feedback like this is incredibly valuable and helps guide future enhancements to the platform.

Thanks again for sharing your experience and for being a part of the GCPay community!

  ### 36. GCPAY Simplifies the Pay Application Process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2021

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I am still so happy with the accuracy of all of the pay applications because you have total control of everything from the creation of the SOV to setting the days that subcontractors need to make their submissions and having total control over when the Change Orders are added to the subcontractors SOV. The other thing about GC Pay that has been absolutely wonderful is the Customer Service Department. They are so fast in responding to any request that I have and they always have everything resolved in minutes and I am able to continue without interruption.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

The only improvement that I would love to see is being able to have a subcontractor who is using a subcontractor be able to be included in the job. There is nothing else that I can think of that needs to be improved.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We no longer receive pay applications with calculation errors. We do not receive pay applications with unapproved change orders. The subcontractors and automatically reminded by email when their pay applications are due. If a subcontractor submits their pay application after the deadline the system automatically dates it for the next month end.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Thank you for the thoughtful and detailed review! We're so glad GCPay is helping eliminate billing errors, streamline approvals, and provide clear visibility into subcontractor progress. It’s great to hear how easy the platform has been for new subs to adopt, and we’re proud that our support team has been quick and reliable when you need them. We appreciate your feedback on sub-tier functionality and will be sure to pass it along. Thanks for being part of the GCPay community!

  ### 37. Smooth Online Billing and Signing Experience - A+++++

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krystal M. | PEIMS, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

Being able to enter billings online & sign and notarize makes it smooth process.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

I haven't found many dislikes other than they charge to notarize so I have to download and print, then scan to upload the signed waivers.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes billings faster, less complicated and is easy to understand. You know when I billing is pending, approved or denied just by logging in and you also receive emails with updates which is very nice.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Krystal, thank you for the A+++++ and the wonderful feedback! We are glad online billing, clear status visibility, and email updates have made the process so much faster and easier to follow.

Great news on the notarization! GCPay does offer integrated Remote Online Notarization (RON) through Notarize.com, allowing you to notarize documents electronically 24/7 without printing or scanning. Once completed, the waiver is automatically routed back to your pay application. While there is a fee paid directly to the notary service, it eliminates the manual steps you described. If you prefer not to use RON, you can still download, sign, and scan waivers, or use digital signature options if your GC allows it. Reach out to support@gcpay.com for help getting set up.

Thank you for being a GCPay user and for sharing your experience!

  ### 38. Easy Document & Pay App Organization with Confirmation Emails

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse A. | Senior Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

Organizes pay applications as well as compliance documents. Easy to use and search the project folder for documents. Sends out confirmation emails for all actions.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Sometimes bogs down with heavier workloads, but otherwise, no complaints.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizes the monthly pay applications and shows status on if they have been actioned or not. I know what apps I have already reviewed and what subs still owe me apps making the end of the month reviews more efficient.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Jesse, thank you for the feedback! We are glad pay application organization, document searchability, and confirmation emails have all been making your end of month reviews more efficient.

We appreciate the note on occasional slowdowns during heavier workloads. Performance is something we are always working to improve, and if you experience significant delays please do not hesitate to reach out to support@gcpay.com.

Thank you for being a GCPay user and for sharing your experience!

  ### 39. GC Pay Streamlines Sub-Invoices and Lien Waivers with Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

GC Pay makes collecting sub-invoices and lien waivers much more efficient. Automating the documents also cuts down on revisions caused by clerical errors, which helps keep the process moving smoothly.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

The overview page is hard to navigate because there’s so much information shown that it’s difficult to process what the current items are and what still needs to be completed. Document viewing and sorting also aren’t very user-friendly. On top of that, having to rely on support to correct rejections adds another layer of inefficiency.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that it supports manual collection and entry of sub-invoices. It helps reduce the time spent on this process and lowers the chance of missed pay applications.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that GCPay is helping streamline sub-invoice and lien waiver collection, and that automation is reducing clerical errors and unnecessary revisions. That kind of consistency really helps keep billing workflows moving without constant back-and-forth.

On your feedback about the overview page and document navigation, that’s helpful and very specific. When there’s a lot of information displayed at once, it can make it harder to quickly identify what still needs attention. The comments around document sorting and relying on support for certain corrections are also useful to hear, especially where additional clarity or self-service options could improve efficiency.

Glad to hear the platform is still helping reduce manual effort and lowering the risk of missed pay applications.

  ### 40. Eases Billing Management but Needs Better Integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shaun R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I find GCPay very helpful for General Contracting billing management. I like that it makes it easier for us to receive pay applications in uniform formatting and with up-to-date numbers, which speeds up the review process. I appreciate the pay application management along with the convenience of submitting pay apps and waivers. I also value the audit trail function, which contributes to making the system efficient to use.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

Integration is sometimes off. Clearer directions on how to resolve integration errors. Pretty tough since there was a lot of data catch up during the initial setup.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GCPay makes receiving pay apps easier with uniform formatting, up-to-date numbers, and speeds up the review process.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Shaun, thank you for sharing this.

It’s great to hear that GCPay is helping standardize pay applications and keep numbers up to date. That consistency really helps speed up the review process, and it’s good to know the audit trail and waiver management are adding value as well.

On the integration side, that’s helpful feedback. Getting everything aligned, especially during initial setup or data catch-up, can be challenging. Clearer guidance around resolving integration issues would definitely make that process smoother. If anything comes up, Support is available to help walk through errors and get things back on track.

Glad to hear GCPay is making billing management more efficient overall and helping simplify the review process.

  ### 41. GC Pay Keeps Billing Approvals Organized with Helpful Submission Notifications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

What I find most helpful about GC Pay is the notifications when submissions are made—they make it much easier to track project costs and monitor each subcontractor’s progress. I also appreciate that the system won’t allow you to approve a billing until the previous month’s billing has been fully approved, which helps keep everything organized and accurate.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

I can’t think of any major downsides to using GC Pay. The only internal challenge is aligning our billing format with each subcontractor’s format, since they don’t always match.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GC Pay helps us track all subcontractors, billings, and the overall percentage of project completion, making it much easier to forecast and plan ahead.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! We are glad the submission notifications, sequential billing controls, and project completion tracking have all been such helpful parts of managing your subcontractors and forecasting.

The billing format alignment challenge between GCs and subs is a common one, and our support team at support@gcpay.com is happy to help explore ways to make that process more consistent within your workflow.

Thank you for being a GCPay user and for sharing your experience!

  ### 42. Seamless GCPay–Procore Integration for Faster Project Financial Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I really like how GCPay integrates with Procore and can pull the schedule of values directly from a contract. It makes project financial management more efficient and helps the team perform better overall.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

The user interface could definitely use some improvements to make it easier to navigate, simpler to operate, and more straightforward overall. AI tools could also be implemented for the helping the users with decision making.

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GCPay has been really helpful for payment processing. It improved our team’s performance by integrating the subtrades into the payment system, which lets them upload their own documents directly. That change was a big step forward for our overall payment process.

**Official Response from GCPay Team:**

> Thank you for the great feedback! We are glad the integration and direct SOV pull have made project financial management more efficient, and that bringing subtrades into the payment system has been such a meaningful step forward for your team.

We appreciate the honest feedback on the user interface and your suggestion around AI-assisted decision making. Both are forward-thinking ideas we will make sure reach our product team as we continue to evolve the platform.

Thank you for being a GCPay user and for sharing your experience!

I use GCPay for billing, and I really appreciate the instant receipt feature that ensures my client gets their invoice immediately. I like the clarity of contract billings, which is a standout feature for me. **Reviewed by:** Bluette C. | Chief Financial Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2026

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

I like how GCPay allows the project to be controlled, and it stays organized and on track, unlike other accounting software. The ability to stay on track with AiA standards is great. I also appreciate the auto payments feature; once the customer approves the pay application and the owner funds it, the payment is automatically deposited or a check is generated. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about GCPay?**

So far, there really isn't anything

**What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GCPay allows me to control projects better than other accounting software. It keeps us organized and on track with AiA standards. The automatic payments feature ensures efficient financial transactions once pay applications are approved.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2021

**What do you like best about GCPay?**

GCpay is extremely simple to use. Streamlines the entire billing process and not just for the Contractor but for the Subcontractor as well. The system walks you through the entire process step by step, and in the event you need assistance, their Customer Support is right there to assist you. Email responses never take long, and to call them, you would expect to be on hold, but I never have to wait for a representative to help me with my questions. Great Customer Service!!

The system lacks a variety of reports I'd like to see.
