What do you like best about GCPay?

I love the live Chat and knowing that there is a real person on the other end who can help me and explain things when needed. There has been multiple times that I have had to use the chat and I have been helped everytime. I use GC Pay every single day. I love how easy it is to use. What do you like best about GCPay?

GCPay streamlines the process of payment processing of our subcontractors. It is customizable to what our company requires in the form of compliance items, certified payroll reports, retainage. GCPay makes the subcontractor's part of the billing process easy as well. Step by step instructions (with screenshots) help the subcontractor move easily through the process of creating their billings in the GCPay portal.

The subcontractor can track their submittals in the status bar... status updates are right there, letting them know when a billing has been submitted, viewed and approved or rejected.

The GCPay Support Team is absolutely amazing! Always a quick response to us or our subcontractors regarding any issues that they have in the billing process. I've received numerous emails from subcontractors stating that the GCPay Support Team always has the answer to any issue to resolve it quickly and easily. Subcontractors new to the GCPay billing process appreciate the Support Team having access to their screen so that they can be "walked" through whatever issue they might have with the program. What do you dislike about GCPay?

The only downside I would have with GCPay is that I don't see what the subcontractors see in GCPay. This is only a problem when a subcontractor has an issue with their side of the process. Since I can't see what they do, I can't always help them figure out the solution and have to pull in GCPay Support to assist. This is never a real issue though, as the Support Team is so quick to respond.

This makes it a learning experience for me as well, as I take the information the Support Team gives to the subcontractor regarding any issue and keep it in a file in case it comes up for someone else in the future. Bonus! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GCPay?

It is very user friendly. and much easier to navigate than many of the other 3rd party portals. I love the summary at the bottom when entering an invoice. It's just super easy to use especially once you have a couple of jobs. I use the portal at least two to three times per week and prefer it over all the others. I've also been very impressed with their Customer Support, very helpful and knowledgeable and always follow through. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GCPay?

If I had to list one thing that I wasn't fond of it would have to be adding users to jobs. It seems a little more complicated than necessary. The options when giving users job permissions should be clearer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GCPay?

I’d give GCPay a solid 9 out of 10. It really makes the pay application process smoother and more organized. I like how easy it is to track compliance documents, lien waivers, and approvals all in one place. The interface is pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it, though onboarding took a little time. What do you dislike about GCPay?

If I had to point out one improvement, it would be the onboarding process — it could be a bit more intuitive for new users. Also, I’ve noticed some slowdowns during busy periods, so performance could be a little more consistent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GCPay?

GCPay is a good platform that makes managing construction payments much easier. The interface is user-friendly and intuitive, so it doesn’t take long to figure out how to navigate the system. It’s something we use daily because one of our main GCs relies on it, and it integrates well into our workflow. Implementation wasn’t difficult, and whenever we’ve needed support, the team has been responsive and helpful. Tasks like submitting pay applications, tracking compliance documents, and communicating with stakeholders are all streamlined, saving a lot of time compared to older manual processes. What do you dislike about GCPay?

On the downside, there are occasional bugs where files can’t be downloaded for signing, which interrupts the workflow and can be frustrating. Another challenge is that you have to upload supporting documents for every stored materials line item separately, which becomes tedious, especially on larger projects with many line items. Additionally, it can be difficult and redundant to add people from our team into projects—just to let someone view certain information, we often have to assign them nearly all permissions, which feels excessive and complicated. What do you like best about GCPay?

Our company has a very rigorous review / approval process, which previously could create quite a quagmire, with all parties involved questioning the status of pay apps. Since implementing GCPay two years ago, the approval process, though still rigorous, is navigated much more smoothly. Not only is it more seamless on the GC side, it also appears to be easier for our Subcontractors, reducing the number of frustrated phone calls. GCPay cannot remove all instances of "user error"; however, it significantly decreased the number of mistakes on pay apps. The tier vendor management is fantastic, including updating the list and sending, receiving and approving waivers. Additionally, GCPay Support is THE BEST I have ever encountered professionally or personally. They are responsive, knowledgeable and patient. What do you dislike about GCPay?

The only very minor downside was management of the retainage percentage (relying on the Subcontractor to accurately change the percentage when appropriate). I believe, however, that issue is being addressed in a future update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
