"VS Code is amazing!!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VS Code is very easy to use and pick up if you are a beginner. It has various plugins you can use that make using it even easier. Integrations and extensions like Github copilot and RedHat for Java are really good Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

There not many things to dislike about VS Code except the fact that its a little slow sometimes and some themes that are in other IDEs is better than what VSCode has to offer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Multiple languages support"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Ability to support multiple programming language s and plugins. Therefore it makes it unnecessary switching between IDE when you switch into another programming language. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The way it use alot of pc memory when it's running making the pc to be very slow. When it's used up with other software eg browser for testing the app after coding, the PC becomes even more slower. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Feature rich IDE with great community and integration support"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VS Code has a very active community that provides integration support that greatly ease the development workflows. Its appearance and UI are customizable for the developer. Integration with git ensures that one doesn't have to spend a lot of time banging their heads around git commands, but can instead do the same in a few clicks. It supports all native languages. It is constantly innovating with features like in browser IDE Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The application continues to be a RAM gobbler. It is close to impossible to work on anything else when VS Code is open on computers with RAM <8 gigs. It started offering cloud based IDE solutions, but not much traction has been seen on them. Developing Java applications is still a challenge on VS Code, as most developers prefer Jetbrains IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The great extension and marketplace support for all its extension is the best feature. Moreover, its support for groovy script and Jupyter extension scripts is a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Sometimes, it takes too long to load the old files. It can be very disappointing at times to stay idle while it is just loading the jupyter file but not showing anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the very best code editor for any software laguage. !!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual studio code provides plugins required for particular languages by quickly installing them. Also, I like its code formatting functionality (auto/manually). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

When we switch to branches, if our code runs, sometimes Visual Studio Code shows an error like a compilation error, syntax error, etc. In this case, we need to restart VS code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Devloper's Best Friend"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The extensions that are available with the VS code, save our time and effort. Also, it has immense support from the dev community all of that at no cost. Isn't that amazing? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

A bit of segregation is required in its setting as sometimes, even after this long, I lose track of its setting features. Settings should have been divided into icons across the dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool for Code development."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It is a very user-friendly and straightforward tool for Developers. UI is smooth, also. I think we can easily connect with GitHub, which is the most valuable feature. Super fast when launching the application, all tools are fully functional, and my fav Data viewer option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Nothing to dislike, but I would suggest that as devloper, we work on different Programming languages, so when I'm using it, missing the interactive console to execute small snippets of code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
