"The be all and end all for coding tools"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The mutability of functionality in vsc is what I adore about vsc and makes it the best option as its a perfect text editor as its more than a text editor as its customizability allows for iron-clad functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

As it's a text editor, it doesn't satiate the needs that an IDE might satisfy in which trust and reliability are unquestionable. However, as its highly customisable, those needs can easily be achieved through simple customisation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Best Free IDE Resource For Coders!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code provides a vast catalogue of extensions to help you throughout the usage of the app.

The error formatting of Visual Studio Code is also remarkable. The errors are marked with squiggles and there are prompts to complete or correct your code along with proper identation.

It is very easy to set up on any platform and all the available resources from the extensions to the documentations are free of cost.

There are monthly updates of the app, that take care of the bugs and errors that creep up in the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It doesn't have an in-built c++ compiler and it has to be installed separately from the application.

The other drawback is that you can't work simultaneously on different projects and you have to open up different windows for each of them, making it confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code Review"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code is the IDE to develop the code in many languages. It also provides version control services like git, bitbucket, svn, etc. Also, the IDE provides a Remote Explorer service which is a very good service. Also, it provides the inner docker service to create the docker image. We can open the folder as a project in the IDE so, it can be easily managed with packages and all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

However the IDE provides a very good service, but there are some issues with the plugins and extension identification. It can open the java files but it is not much powerful for Java projects. Visual Studio Code IDE is mainly useful for web development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
