"Fast and free IDE"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It's fast and very powerful IDE. What I like the most is the number of extensions it has, basically, you have one for what you need. Also, I love the keyboard shortcuts, for example, I use a lot the ctrl+shift+p to launch commands like format JSON, preview CSV...

It supports theme colors, I can develop with a white background and It has some nice dark themes with good colors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It's difficult to say something wrong about this product but If I have to say something I would say the intellisense is not as good as another similar product. Sometimes, for example, it won't even suggest a variable I had just defined one line above, so I have to copy/paste or just type the variable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"THIS IS best IDE"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VS Code is free for private or commercial use. One of the most awesome things about VS Code is not actually a feature of the editor itself. VS Code was launched during //BUILD 2015 with an accompanying code handle – how cool is that

Huge Language Support: Not only is VS Code available cross-platform, but it also aims to be your one-stop code editor with support for 30+ programming languages out-of-the-box. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

it's quite difficult for a new developer to understand all the features. BackEnd integrated projects are little difficult to develop on VS code. It uses a huge amount of the RAM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Source code editor for multiple programming languages"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It is an editor with many new features, among which is the integration with git, which allows me to be connected to my repositories, it also has a function of refactoring codes, it also has a very detailed console that shows all the errors and notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I realized that adding many add-ons the performance of this editor is very bad since it starts to freeze and to work slowly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Editor For Web Application Development"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code is a free editor with a lot of cool features. Back End development is so easy on this editor. Plugins and extensions can directly be installed on it for Back end development. It has a good user interface and it is easy to use. It has built in Git and the code is very readable in it. It is highly customizable, and it is updated with new features on a regular basis and it also has nice debugging features which makes it the best editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It uses a lot of resources of my computer. It should be optimized to work on low-end PC''s smoothly. It is mainly used for Back-End Development and it must be also be optimised for Front-End Development as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code - It keeps getting better. "
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The ever growing set of plugins really makes using VSCode a blast,

The interface offers great customization (although not fully) but given the purpose of the software and the ability to change color schemes, add plugins for Syntax, and more it is still on-par with most other IDEs'. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Sometimes, it feels like the sidebar is too large and clunky - maybe using smaller icons for explorer, search, debug, and extensions would make the sidebar feel less "in-the-way". Don't get me wrong these are all very important parts of the UI (and maybe that's just my opinion) but I'd prefer those icons to be smaller. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing Text Editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It is one of the best editors out there. Amazing ease of use, large plugins library, and good key shortcuts Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Not much. This editor is quite great for what it is supposed to do. My only quirk is the Microsoft telemetry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Vscode review"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I like the fact that there are tons of community support that fits my needs.

I can customize and play around with the environment.

The intellisense is also handy when working with strong typed languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The file tracker system will breakdown or runs painfully slow when a directory contains a lot of files.

Saving conflict happens sometime if editing on remote servers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
