"I love using Visual Studio"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I love how you are able to integrate third party development tools within the editor and they have a native fee. This brings my work to one central location so I don't have to keep shifting between applications. For instance, I have both docker and azure installed in VS Code thus making my work easier.

I also enjoy using VS code's interactive playground which you can use yo learn how to use the software to the maximum so that you end up getting the most from it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code, even in its default state, is a particularly heavy application that almost feels like a full-fledged integrated development environment. ANd a case can be made for that considering how much you can stretch the editor's functionality. However, and in my opinion, it beats logic to call an IDE a text editor. There's not much difference between Webstorm's (for instance) resource usage and VS Code's. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Choice of Code Editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code has many great attributes. The navigation integration with Git is one of my favorite things to come from Visual Studio Code. Also the color coding is very helpful while writing and debugging your code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Something I very much dislike about Visual Studio Code is how slow it takes for the application to open up. It runs incredibly slowly compared to many different text editors. It's not easy to format the editor in specific ways. Even opening one file in a different window takes a good minute to load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic p IDElugin-driven"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I love the ability to quickly find and install useful packages without any issue. Whether it's autocomplete, a linter, beautifying and formatting code, etc, I can find a package for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I dislike the node.js debugger - I think the documentation could stand to be more explanatory. With other IDEs, it just WORKS without too much configuration. I think the wide array of options in VSCode gives users analysis paralysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"a development environment for multiple languages"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I found it quite interesting to be able to use a single program to develop in different languages such as c, c ++, php, python, and javascript, it has helped me a lot with memory since I have deleted programs such as netbeans, notepad ++ and others Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

At first it seemed a bit confusing that there are two programs with the same name (visual studio code and visual studio community) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code, a nice surprise from Microsoft"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code, in my opinion, is the most sophisticated IDE I know, with many benefits that make any developer's life easier. It offers many practical features when working with code. Here are some of them:

Programming languages: Code editing is not limited to C# and VB (Microsoft's proprietary languages); it also includes Open Source languages like Java, Go, C, C++, Ruby, Python, PHP, Perl, JavaScript, Groovy, Swift, PowerShell, Rust, DockerFile, CSS, HTML, XML, JSON, Lua, F#, Batch, SQL, and more.

Multiplatform: It was created and designed to work on the three main operating systems: Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.

Plugins: It is a tool that is constantly updated and has the ability to adapt plugins.

Intellisense: "Intellisense" refers to the capability of a text editor to predict the instruction we are about to write, allowing us to avoid typing the entire instruction, as it can be autocompleted by the editor. This makes us more productive and reduces the possibility of syntax errors.

Open Source: It is available on the most popular social network for developers at the moment, "GitHub," so we can download it to our computer, analyze the code, make changes, and send them through Git to the Microsoft team to evaluate and, if deemed appropriate, include them as part of the product's core. What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Personally, the only disadvantage I find with VISUAL STUDIO CODE compared to other code editors is that it sometimes uses more memory and processor resources; otherwise, I find it quite comprehensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Brilliant Text Editor for writing Front-end Development Code"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I have used the Visual Studio Code for writing code for front-end development. Most of the time I use it for React/Angular projects and it handles the things very well. It comes with the option which can give you support in speeding up the development and customize your working environment as per your requirement. I have added multiple plugins and themes as per my comfort and created multiple workspaces so I can switch between, kind of development I'm doing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It's always a place where you want to improve any product. However, I have not faced any issue so far but sometimes while starting the application using the "Run" command it doesn't close the command prompt starts at the time of opening the Visual Studio Code. "The best and most complete code and text editor for cross-platform teams, accessible to everyone."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I really like this tool and it has become indispensable because I can perform cross-platform operations, which means I can use the same software with the same plugins on Windows, macOS, and Linux. The flexibility of the extensions allows it to work well with any tool my team standardizes, and manage them all from an IDE. It also greatly increases my daily productivity thanks to providing a set of well-considered and flexible keyboard shortcuts and navigation, along with assistance for writing code such as snippets and code completion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

What I don't like about Visual Studio Code is that sometimes the explorer can be difficult to use when you have many files in your workspace. They should offer a better search to find files. Another negative aspect is that it can be a bit heavy after running the tool for a long time, which can be mainly caused if you have many extensions installed. "The best software development tool, very useful, pleasant, and with complete features."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

What I like about Visual Studio Code is that it makes my coding very efficient. It has multiple extensions that facilitate writing programs for a variety of languages and platforms. It is ideal for working with Python and writing code with the Angular.js language is very concise, and its error-searching capabilities make debugging easier. Another additional benefit is the integration of Git, which is very convenient. In summary, this software is very useful and has many excellent options for coders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I don't like that depending on the computer you have, it sometimes becomes a bit heavy. I also wish that Visual Studio Code had a better way to manage multiple pages, files, and classes, and I would like them to add an auto-save option since the user has to do it manually. "Best lightweight code editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Very customizable keyboard shortcuts that streamline code development and thousands of extensions that do anything you need. Handy file free on the left side. Auto save feature is a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Lack of visual customization. C++ is difficult to configure because it requires setting up a standalone compiler. Works best with HTML/CSS/JS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
