"A powerful all-in-one code editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

A very powerful all-in-one code editor, which allows us to edit different types of code of many kinds, is cross-platform compatible with many operating systems, and also allows adding multiple extensions. It is equally compatible with many languages like PHP, Java, Python, C++, and also has good support for Java libraries. It offers contextual help as you write the code as well as real-time error detection, along with good code debugging without leaving the program. As for its interface and design, it is very good, allowing you to change the colors of the code as well as the themes of the editor itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It needs a better code preview mode for mobile devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The BEST text editor on the market hands down."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

First of all, it's free and Open source. So there is no reason not to at least try it out. Editors like UltraEdit, Notepad++ and even Sublime text are unfortunately behind the times when it comes to text editing. VSCode is the modern solution you are looking for.

It has lots of extensions in it's marketplace. I use it for all programming. Built-in debugger. It makes me question why to use a full fledged IDE. I use it primary for web development and for Node.js development.

It has a ton of support behind it. It was initially a small project being developed at Microsoft. But it eventually generated a huge following and now Microsoft is throwing a lot more resources toward it in order to see it

maintain it's success. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It doesn't yet support a built-in macro feature. That would be really nice to have.

There are so many settings that sometimes it's hard to find the setting you need if you need to change something. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slick code editor with surprising amount of built-in plugin support"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The interface is slick, default color-coding is natural, and unlike other code editors it's easy to change the font size. There are many plugins offered including Git integration, Docker, and Amazon Alexa SDK Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It can be slow and memory-intensive. I wish I could turn off auto-compilation for TypeScript, for example, when making a lot of changes in a file as it seems to slow my whole system down as it warns me about code in progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Debugging your programs just got a lot easier."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual studio has a very clean interface, with few buttons right on the toolbar, leaving a lot more space for your code.

It has very powerful debugging tools for virtually all programming languages. be it in the terminal or integrated with a view in a browser.

In addition there are many plugins, developed by the community, which makes it even more powerful, and with its own details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Perhaps on some less powerful computers, it will be slow, and will crash at times or in search of keywords throughout the project. However, it is acceptable for the processing and delivery power it offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code review"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The community that supports VOCs is very powerful. There are additions to everything. Updates are issued at very regular intervals. The speed factor is finally present, which is a huge improvement on things like atoms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It would be nice if you could improve the coding on the back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

""Microsoft Visual Studio Code" The best code and text editor for cross platform devices."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Personally I like Microsoft Visual Studio Code because it provides add-ons that support virtually all languages, file types and code repositories used for various types of software development really is fast and lightweight, no matter how many extensions and add-ons have been added, Another important point in favor that is also worth noting is that it is constantly updated to add new features or correct errors. All these attributes make it a very convenient and efficient multiplatform tool to perform daily development tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I can really express that there is only one thing I dislike and it is that it does not have enough support for Front End encoding like HTML, Css. You must have live view during encoding in the window itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
