"A compact and efficient source code editor optimized for macOS, Linux, and Windows."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It's a wonderful app from Microsoft, it's open and free! It works well. It has thousands of users contributing add-ons that improve the app much more and has an easy to use and interactive interface with various color codes and adjustments that allow you to customize the look and style of the site. What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The only thing that I find slightly irritating is the paperwork. All are very highly concentrated on the creator; all the adjustments are saved in JSON files. That's all right, but much of the information makes a lot of suggestions about the common skills and doesn't set out how to do something. Often, I need to do a lot of google searching just to find out how to adjust the basic layout. This is a bit of a small criticism and mostly gets down to addon developers, but even Microsoft's manual on how to switch new functionality on is very often frustrating and needs a lot of co-established information. What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual studio code provides many handy features but the feature I like most is extensions. You can install extensions for creating a live server, auto completion of the codes, debugging and beautifying the code. Which helps speed up the development time through the use of those extensions. What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Visual studio code requires a decent computer and is resource heavy. Sometimes the the importing feature doesn't work and terminal gets buggy. It is slow it identifying the programming language and autocompletion doesn't works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best IDE for all kinds of development!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I have used VS code for PHP based projects, python based web projects and Javascript heavy web projects. VS code is absolutely lovely! What makes it powerful is the marketplace where in you can get the necessary extensions for your language. Recently I discovered that it supports ipython files as well. I use VS code daily and I wouldn't have it any other way Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I don't dislike anything in VS code. The features are good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing-IDE(It makes, Development, Easy)"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

One of the best IDE's I ever came across, just smooth user experience.

Intellisense accustomed with inbuilt frameworks and libraries just makes a naive developer experienced in few weeks.

Its, default black theme with vibrant colors that differ for variables, constants, func names and keywords, is comparatively the best i have came across.

Support for every framework and language, from desktop applications to android, from web APIs to standalone webservices, from SOAP to REST,you think of it and it does for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Although, i may seem to be biased towards it , but i rarely hate any feature in it.

some of them which can be improved are,

.Switiching from one framework to another , needs a complete shutdown of current project, sometimes the dependencies get effected.

More in built features should be there as alomst all language and framework libraries need to be downloaded via its extensions module.

Extensions are present, but it would be good if it suggest the best extension for the particular type of development, as merely ratings cant specify the use case of particular scenario Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code (One Ide for all)"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual studio code is one of the most enhanced and widely used IDE. I have been using it for the last 5 years. and it is just the best.

we have a lot of configurations starting from color, text size, etc.

The plugins and addons are also provided by Visual studio code which can increase the usability and lowers the workload.

We have inbuilt git in which u can easily push-pull your code change branches and other stuff.

The one major UI related feature is of having different colors for different values in IDE.

We have a good feature of opening multiple terminals in one IDE window which is great and reduces opening up multiple commands prompts.

one more feature of comparing files side by side helps to compare and merge code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Overall the features are stunning. just need to check the scalability of it for larger projects. one feature I am not sure if we can have it will be great we need to have an opening a specific folder only on the right panel that can reduce the confusion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
